About A Lady
she writes, with all disappointments
her chin on her elbow her feet right on her ears
plans are falling out like buds that did not make it to become flowers
what is so simple has shattered into a complication
out of control, her life has become, she stops for a while,
she needs this moment
she poses the question: what went wrong along the way?
love was there
compassion was abundant
he sends her a note through her email: darling, don't worry
my love shall see you through
she is restless, jobless, she tries everything to please
what boredom was there
life is also a matter of luck, she concludes
she writes him, forget it, let me do it without you
without myself in this
i will let life do its share,
luck to manifest. I will wait, she says, I can always wait.

When Life was Simple
When life was simple
Was when I was in mother's womb?
but wait we were poor so my mom got no prenatal care.
When life was simple
Was when my mother gave birth to me...?
but wait I was born premature with a collapsed lung unable to breathe.
When life was simple
Was when I was 6 month old?
but wait that was when my mom found out I have Cerebral Palsy.
When life was simple
Was when I was about ten?
but wait that when I was called the little cripple boy who has no friends.
When life was simple
I was about 26
but wait that when my mother scoffed at my poetic gift.
Well I'm 41 now
and throughout the years there's one thing I have learned
Life is never simple.
What’s Luck?
Luck is something that comes, not so often;
Luck is an occurrence in life, quite rare;
Luck’s unpredictable phenomenon;
Luck is a devil that is rarely kind!
Luck’s the last thing one should ev’r depend on;
Luck cannot simply come to all always;
Luck can’t work magic without labor hard;
Luck is futile if basic things aren’t done.
Luck is a make-up that needs a good face;
Luck’s a pretty dame with contours and shape;
Luck is an element of great surprise;
Luck is not the usual way, world goes by!
Luck is the decoration on a cake;
Luck’s a factor that clicks for some at times;
Luck isn’t the first thing, we trust any time;
Perseverance is key to success prime.

How many times I said I love you
I can’t remember, you forgot too
What we remember is the fragrance of love
How much we get never seems enough
Every time we get closer, embrace each other
Benevolence of love grows further ‘n’ further
Every touch of kiss writes a whole new story
Love poignantly glorifies, puts aside the worry
No matter how much time we’ve spent together

So What Do You Expect From The Title?

whatever comes first

literally each word
seems not to be significant
to the next one
practically like strangers
coming together
inside a train
whose common ground
is only to go somewhere

nothing like
care, or affection
they merely stand there
and wait
and then take their

The Luck of a Blessing
HA HA HA, just my luck...
I try hard to go one way, but God wants me to go another.
I thought this was the right choice, but He says choose again.
Nothing is ever easy when it's something worth fighting for,
but nothing is ever more harder when that same cause you'll die to protect
has stabbed you in the heart.
So I guess that's just my luck...
I am a person who knows many things, and the one thing
I do know is that things will never be the same-we all have to
except change rather good, or bad, its comes with the territory..... the territory of life.
But I guess luck has nothing to do with it,
but love is everything about it.
Focus not on the feeling, but on the person. He truly loves us through thick and thin,
even though some may not love Him back.
We love because he loved first-we suffer because he suffered
greater-and we live because He still does.
So that's my luck, the fact that I'm blessed.
No matter how the day goes I'm blessed.
No matter where in life He takes me I'm blessed,
and no matter who leaves me, whether it's a lover, friend,
or members of family, with Him I'm always so thankfully blessed.

Why do I have such admiration for complication
And seldom see advantages of simplicity?
Is it the overall fault of divine creation?
