A New Economic Theory

the sea has so much water
and so
has the rivers and ponds
and creeks too

you are the mighty sun
and you activate all your rays
like hands generating heat
from your self-energizing body

you take in
all their potable waters and keep
them in all your friendly clouds
and then by your power
as the all-kind all-giving sun
you order all the clouds to shower
to all the land the much needed rain

even the tiniest moss and algae
the underprivileged worms
the hibernating creatures
the dried seeds shall have the share
of all wondrous waters of the earth
this gather-all-and-trickle down
economic theory of mine

at the end
all shall have their share
all shall grow and bear fruit
throughout the years of their lives
where shall hunger be?
and wars and chaos?

For this relief much thanks for M lady Ann

Just a few dwindling pools remain
in what was once the river bed.
Three years and more without rain.
Most of my livestock long since dead.

Yet still I have to struggle on
I have no choice no place to go
All of my men have packed and gone,
To where the deeper rivers flow.

Each evening I pray for rain
I won’t surrender to despair.
I’m not too old to start again.
No man can win who does not dare.

The storm clouds gather overhead.
Perhaps in answer to my prayer.
This time release much needed rain.
There’s water, water everywhere.

The river fills and overflows.
The arid earth drinks greedily.
The drought is over: Heaven knows
I’ve had my share of misery.

I face the future confident
That I can do what must be done
Determination and intent
are all I have I will go on.

I will build up my stock and then
I will employ some jackaroos.
To help me run the place again
much needed help that I can use.

But for the present work alone.
My nearest neighbour’s miles away
There is so much that must be done.
Enough to fill each working day.

When evening comes I will give thanks.
Unto my maker gratefully.
The river flows between its banks.
And all is as it ought to be.

A Neighbor

you live in the clouds
below all these drifters
are the stones
flowers of the earth
children of the
chipped cliffs

we are the progeny
of the rocks
from our cracks
waters flow
thirsts are quenched
and strangers
spread the news about
us: from our hardness
and painless existence
comes out
the softness and kindness
of the waters
of this earth

you shift and gather
somewhere
soundlessly
looking down upon us
in the hardness of
our silenced
existence

you predict weathers
you tell us you own the rain
and the sun

we look forward
adapt to the changes
for one thing
we do not drift and gather
somewhere
still asking for the
correct directions

we are blind
and so we know what is within us
we have no other option
we are the stones
we ask no more
about those questions
neither do we keep those answers
we are here
we do not move
we do not blink
we welcome the moss
we are never tossed....

neighbor cloud
nebulous, oh how infamous
now, tumultuous
fatuous...

Sunset On The Beach

The sun was setting with all its power and glory
on the horizon behind the sea as I stood there
on the sand which lay along the water's edge.

The clouds in the sky had the effect of evolving translucent light
yet as the sun sank further down into the sea
this light was changing to a sombre silver-grey.

Darkness was descending upon me where I stood
yet in the far horizon before me daylight was
making its impact once again on the earth.

It was getting chilly and darker and a slight breeze
was beginning to arouse the waters of a once calm sea.

The tide was going out and I could feel the moisture
from underneath my feet being taken away.
The sun was drawing away the very waters of the sea before me it seemed and everything was beginning to have a haunted aspect,
for without light all seemed to attain a gloomy and ghostly atmosphere.

The sun was now but a tinge of orange
giving off its last rays of light being swallowed by the sea.
What a splendid sight it was I thought seeing something alive
and wondrous making its last impact with beauty and significance before vanishing temporarily and rising again on the opposite to where it set.

It seemed to suggest that where there is light there is life
and where there is no light life would be unbearable and dark.
Dusk had come and night was here so I thought that I had better depart
in order to live and enjoy the sight just seen at some other date.

Enough Of It!

Rain may be generous enough,
to pour the water freely,
The clouds may be cunning enough,
not to choose rightly,
People may be smart enough,
to store and share cleverly,
The underprivileged may be quiet enough,
to tolerate the inconvenience tearfully.

Spring: First rain

Clouds gather dark, ominous and pregnant
filled with the thunder-gloom
and the womb of the earth waits expectant
for the life giving substance to shower down
to turn seeds to living sprouts
and a fresh odour rises from the ground
when rain splatters, showers, falls
like a river from the sky.

Waiting For The Rain

dead grass
cracking face of the earth
cinder stones
parched paths
thatched roof of the house
at the foot of
the tired body of the hills
dried creeks
rivers that run dry
wells without
drops of water left
hands in prayed
angel without wings
all these chant in prayer
waiting for
the first rain after a long drought
of summer

Clouds with lightening

Sudden movement of clouds with lightening,
Flash lights all over with sound frightening,
Days scorching heat and pleasant evening,
Pouring of water from relentless raining,

Is there any relation with earth and sky?
We see the horizons meet but not why?
Clouds feel bad when earth make cry,
Make loud noise with love and imply

Love birds can’t hide their emotions,
Feeling loneliness even in motions,
As if something wrong has taken place,
Intense love making to feel out of race,

Sun God shower heavy rays with heat,
Make their love deep and eager to meet,
Separation they feel even good and sweet,
Still to long for each other even tumble the feet,

Eyes wide open with stretching hands,
Invitation with grace to lovely friends,
Saying to self “Come soon, I am alone”
Tsunami, thunder or any form of cyclone,

I will greet you with my vast stretch,
Ponds, wells, rivers will have enough catch,
Rest I will carry to deep sea.
But you come soon is my only plea,

Cuckoo is ready with sweet voice,
Peacock is dancing with equal rejoice,
Dray, dray noise and frogs also dance,
Perfect timing and only chance,

Your forceful invasion may remove dryness,
Happy reunion and no more shyness,
Start of year with breeding ground,
New lives, trees and birds found

Editing Same Path

I HAVE walked upon this path
alone
and that was years ago
when i still cry
water the pebbles with tears
they do not grow
flowers
there are no trees there

One day
I come down from the clouds
since i am heavy with
rain in my
heart and decide to
walk back the path
of stones

I have seeds of clouds in my pocket
rainbow shoots in my hands

The path have since then
bloomed with dew
and vapors rise to the skies
in prayers

Trees grow and
bees pollinate
a new world is born
since then
and children come and play
their games
again

Green River Valley

Your face 'tis mirrored in the river-
Along its banks where moss and algae grow-
Shadows of the dark forests unfold slowly-
'Neath the lemon moon- your reflection- simply glows;

Evening has locked its ebony blanket in-
'Cross the rivers green-gardened theme-
Fireflies flutter their brillance and gossemer wings-
While the river unfolds unfathomnable things;

In the valley under the mountains spires-
The zenith touches the skies broken white clouds-
And the fireflies- now even in daylight-
Mirror your reflection- in the river so proud;

Oh such divine whispers you share with me-
Cupping my chin in your most loving of hands-
Moving one in a caressed sweep 'cross my cheek-
Oh 'tis magical-this green gardened river land;

Where love n'er can e'er perish...
As 'tis strong water-'tis strong as death-
Reflections carry on our love song-
That seeps from your fervant and longing breath;

We have everything in India

An old civilized land on earth,
Has all climates on its path,
A hot summer at one part,
Flood on the other part,
Freezing snow on its top,
Greens of paddy fields,
rows of barren mountains,
virgin jungles,
ever flowing rivers,
dried up rivers,
left with sands,
Lakes and ponds,
soil of various colors,
scorching deserts and
silent plateaus,
What else do we need,
on a land?

We have everything,
to be proud of.
Our culture and our religion.
We have everything,
to keep as treasure.
Our culture and the customs.
We have everything,
that a nation really needs.
Our small fertile land and water.
We have something,
more than needed,
stomachs that are empty.
Worries that are plenty.

Rain

Rain,
the water that washes away
all our unborn sins,
cleansing the streets we walk
and the buildings we see.

Rain,
the falling waters of life
that lets the earth drink
when it is parched
from the sun's scorching rays.

Rain,
from showers to downpour
and any coming storm
within its waters
our heritage is born.

Rain Drops

Here comes the grey clouds
rolling in,
Spreading rain all over the
town.

Rain drops help to moisten
the earth's beautiful green
grass.

Sidewalks once dusty are
washed and cleaned.

Rivers and lakes are given
plenty more water.

Fishes swim around happy
beneath the rain drops,
creating millions of ripples
upon the water.

Flowers and plants no longer
Thirst,
Even trees and bushes seem
to dance after a good drink
of water,
Animals get their fill of
water too.

Just Like a shower,
Rain drops clean and
cleanse everything,
Leaving the earth refreshed
and renewed.

After the storm has passed,
The sun shines spreading its
warmth.

Rain drops that are left behind
on Flowers, plants, trees and
grass,
It is like heaven for many insects
to fill their thirsty little
mouths.

Without clouds we would have no
rain drops,
Without rain drops everything would
never be the same.

Waters

Waters, taw, rat, tar, tars, rats, set, rate, rates, tea;
But i only love on water to satisfy my muse!
And like the joy of love in the garden of roses.

Waters, wear, wears, ware, wares, are, ears, waste;
But i only live on with my positive mind always!
And like the muse of your love in the land of peace.

Waters, at, as, tear, tears, sear, sew, rest, war, art, arts;
But i only saw you waiting in the dark alone!
And like the days of war in the land of trouble.

Waters, east, saw, was, eat, ate, wars, raw, sate, sea, ear;
For we are what we say we are on this earth!
But try to be yourself always on the positive side.

A Secret To Prosperity!

Wandering clouds not so focused,
For where to rain, it not yet decided,
Running from country to country,
Gathering the seeds that can spray,
People look up for rain, but no clouds,
Bright yellow sun and the blue sky,
The tears of rain in their deepened eyes,
The shopping clouds look down at them,
Clumsy they are and hunger rules them,
The proud clouds with the bounty of water,
Hate these poor people and move quicker,
And there are green mountains with flowers,
The running clouds stop all of a sudden,
For it amazed by the swelling of that woman,
Just start to clear what it stores for many hours,
Heavy rain on the mountain and the river sisters,
Flow down to the civilization, the rich people,
All around, as they know how to save water,
People who are ignorant of importance of forest,
Fell the trees for quick money and luxury,
Those who already felled, know the misery,
The clouds in the sky, know this exactly,
The poor will remain poor, if not sorry,
And to replant the trees quickly.

I Went For A Walk

I went for a walk on the lake-side path today
And so disappointed am I for to say
That the lake is covered in blue green algae from end to end
To Nature few humans have been a good friend.

Fertilizer spread by farmers on their crops and washed into creek and drain
In thundery weather by heavy showers of rain
Cause blue green algae on the still waters to grow
Though others with more knowledge of Natural Science than I claim they know

That ducks help to spread blue green algae on a lake
Though the ducks side on this one I surely must take
For I do find that rather hard to believe
And for the pollution of Nature a reason to grieve.

For the health of our Earth Mother too few seem to care
Pollution of land and of water and air
And due to habitat destruction wildlife becoming rare
And too few 'twould seem are environmentally aware.

I went for a walk on the path by the lake
And I felt disappointed for our Earth Mother's sake
To see the lake covered in blue green algae from end to end
To Nature few humans have been a good friend.

Ode To The Rain

O rain, tear-like drops of almighty nature
whenever you come falling down
the earth tries to soak up the moisture
as if it were all willing to drown.

In times of need you are a blessing
and all the land cries out for thee
to restore life that you’re possessing
helping to grow fruit as on a tree.

The sun can not really have it all its own way
and hides behind clouds with you in store
although its light is dimmed part or all of the day
what you have to give then is required more.

The waters of life that fall down with a shower
and flow through the land in many streams
have the grace to transform a seed into a flower
whose nectar bees gather and health esteems.

It’s only when you overflow your boundary
and come falling down as if in a rage
you do more harm than good being contrary
to what is expected and don’t assuage.

With your two associates the lightning and thunder
and your other cohort the wind blowing strong
you try to subdue or intimidate everything thereunder
by wreaking havoc as if redressing some wrong.

It’s very fortunate for us that this doesn’t happen too often
and despite all the things which go on each day
I notice the ground, air and the minds of people do soften
after having come and gone and spent your play.

O rain, you are only just one of the forces of almighty nature
and if employed in season or need can draw no blood
but deployed haphazardly will bring down any proud stature
sweeping away all before you when rushing in a flood.

Rivers Of Life

As tiny streams begin to flow, into larger rivers they shall grow.
Tiny streams of gentle peace, of waters that seem not to cease.
But as the rivers begin to grow, the deeper waters begin to flow.
In these deeper waters cease, the gentle flow of endless peace.

These rivers then snake the land, guided by God’s mighty hand.
And each and every river flows, as God directs the way it goes.
We too are guided by God’s hand, as we journey upon this land.
And God directs how life goes, gently guiding wherever it flows.

Coursing through all of our life, there are rivers filled with strife.
But in a river filled with grief, there are currents of gentle relief.
All the temporal rivers of strife, flow to an ocean of Eternal Life.
Where we’ll find eternal relief, from the turbulent waters of grief.

All the waters we pass through, God beforehand always knew.
And He will be right at your side, even when in the deepest tide.
This He told us so we knew, deeper waters He’d see us through.
So when we’re in a rough tide, God will see us to the other side.

The troubled waters that we see, will all end one day in Eternity.
The ending of this troubled life, is the Hope for all in Jesus Christ.
As we enter the peace of Eternity, when His Blessed face we see.
So believe today in Jesus Christ, and you will inherit Eternal Life.

The dream clusters of the Skies!
The Winds..?
The friendly hands of the Nature!
The Water..?
The blood of the Greenery!
The Trees.?
The Earth's signature of victory!
The Birds..?
The Mind's chariot of flowers!
The Sky..?

At 25k Feet Above

on a bed of clouds
feet dangling into the sea
you and me

above the clouds
the horizon beckoned us
we glided in the air

bits and pieces
clouds dispersed below the sky
new horizon teased

in a wink
the clouds spread as one grey spread
we melted as rain

vapour they turned
the heat within melted
we rocked

wings cut
through layers and layers of
moving vapours

slowly descended
we from the clouds above
earth-reality!

ah, you lifted me
above earth; closer to sky
dropped me on land again!

A Sudden Downpour

Rain beats down on the window pane
As the flood gates of Heaven suddenly open
It is pouring out in torrential flow
Like a Reservoir, all at once, broken

It has come down as a welcome respite
To fan away the humid sweltering heat
It falls in drops and flows in rivulets
Washing the dust of summer drought

With a sudden burst from the weight laden clouds
It lashes down in steam and fury
Plummeting to form ripples in puddles
And filling pools and ponds in hurry

In slanting sheets, it almost pounds
Flooding roads and making puddle
Gushing through pipes and rushing down drains
Water floods, causing men to waddle

Rain has its abode in heavens so high
And hides behind clouds of mournful gloom
In silver strings, it spans the Earth
And cleanses the plants in resplendent gleam

Sudden is the wind, coming to shoo away the clouds
And the sky is once more cerulean blue
As the music stops and the humdrum stills
The water seeps, giving no evident clue.

After an angry couple's furious fight,
As the house goes back to an uncanny calm,
The rain has vanished, leaving little trace
Cooling the Earth and causing no harm
