Notions
Many of us state the notions of presence,
Mighty rivers flow and dive into the abyss;
Kicking me in the leg and then arms fly
For the might of rivers is high and mighty.
Let the years roll on like the seas and rivers,
Jumping along the bed of oceans,
Lulling the fight of the whirlpools.
Open a door to the heavens once they cascade,
Let the door be of love and mighty rivers justify
Our fight for survival,
For survival is the better goal for one’s trust.

When Rivers Begin To Recede..
Rivers recede often in search of their spots of origin
And the mighty oceans begin to recall their past!
Rivers never get back to them.
A river whispers something into the ears of the paternal mountain
Her travelogue is it perhaps.
She falls silent then.
In the depths of the seas a sigh is heard
And it reaches the ears of none.
No river begins to flow again!
The pearls of the seas are shattered across the shores
And the carcasses of little Mermaids afloat the shallow waves.
At the tops of the peaks one hears the shouts of joy.

Many Rivers To Cross
Theres so many rivers to cross
But I cant seem to find my way over
Wandering, Im lost
As I travel along the white cliffs of dover
Many rivers to cross
And its only my will that keeps me alive.
Ive been hurt, washed up for years
But I mearly survive because of my pride
And this loneliness wont leave me alone,
Its such a drag to be on your own
My baby left, and she wouldnt say why,
Now all I do is cry...
Ive got many rivers to cross
And its only my will that keeps me alive
Ive got so many rivers to cross,
Oh, so many rivers to cross...

Oga
You've turned over me and the will not help you,
For i do live by the rivers of love;
And, you really know that.
Oga, i am the lady of the rivers;
But you've denied your previous responsibilities!
And these rivers flow like the muse of my love.

Negro Speaks of Rivers
I've known rivers:
I've known rivers ancient as the world and older than the
flow of human blood in human veins
My soul has grown deep like the rivers.
I bathed in the Euphrates when dawns were young
I built my hut near the Congo and it lulled me to sleep.
I looked upon the Nile and raised the pyramids above it.
I heard the singing of the Mississippi when Abe Lincoln
went down to New Orleans, and I've seen its muddy
bosom turn all golden in the sunset
I've known rivers:
Ancient, dusky rivers.
My soul has grown deep like the rivers.

Mighty Hazards
Mighty rivers blow hard on their surroundings,
The environment relays special images of discontent.
It freezes on you, your livelihood has suffered,
Possible fuel has been achieved all on you.
May the virtues so loved be actualized,
May these devilish hazards be forgotten.
A loose rope has fallen, too mending of you,
For you missed it falling and landing,
Living with the sea and its boats afterwards.
Mighty rivers go, many livers are so gained
By the benches of surgeons, and their knives.
The hazards of water render us unfortunate.

So High
(traditional - arranged by elvis presley)
Well, hes so high (so high you cant get over him)
So wide (so wide you cant get around him)
So low (so low you cant get under him)
Great God almighty (you must come in at the door)
Oh well, hes high (so high you cant get over him)
Hes wide (so wide you cant get around him)
So low (so low you cant get under him)
The mighty lamb (you must come in at the door)
Well I went down in the valley
You know I did over there ever stay
My soul got happy in the valley
You know I stayed right there all day
Well, hes high (so high you cant get over him)
And hes wide (so wide you cant get around him)
I know hes so low (so low you cant get under him)
The mighty lamb (you must come in at the door)
Well I aint been to heaven but im, Im told
The streets the streets are pearls
You know the mighty mighty
Mighty gates are gold
And hes high (so high you cant get over him)
So wide (so wide you cant get around him)
Hes so low (so low you cant get under him)
The mighty lamb (you must come in at the door)
Well, hes high (so high you cant get over him)
And hes wide (so wide you cant get around him)

The mighty lamb (you must come in at the door)

The Rivers of a Poet
The Rivers of the Poet
The verses of the poet
vary from the rivers
though they also flow
while circulating inside
until materializing
in words and verses
that others can see.
The poet’s soul communions
with the exterior world
and flows like the rivers
with each inspiration.
The rivers of the poet
do dry inside of him
as he writes,
but it is forever
that they flow in written form
upon the sheets of paper.
That is how
the rivers of the poet
leave and manage to stay
until another river
appears and flows
with another inspiration.

Mountain Peak
We came together on the highest mountain on this earth.
As years went by we separated into rivers
from the tears this mountain cried.
We all fell into different rivers flowing though
forests, rocks, and waterfalls.
No matter what season we came across
we continued flowing.
We are rivers that started in the mountains,
and rivers that separated as we went through
many waterfalls.
Sometimes we travel together,
and other times we travel alone.
Always remember that these same rivers
that travel many miles through the earth
are once again together when it reaches its final destination
the “Ocean”
So, rivers that started up high in the mountains
and then separated are united
again as a family.

Patriot
And the rivers shall open for the righteous...
And the rivers shall open for the righteous...
And the rivers shall open for the righteous someday...
I was walking with my brother,
And he wondered, oh how I am.
Said what I believe in my soul
Ain't what I see with my eyes,
And there's no turning back this time.
I am a patriot, and I love my country,
Because my country is all I know.
Wanna be with my family,
People who understand me.
I got no place else to go.
I was walking with my girlfriend.
She looked so fine, I said
"Baby, what's on your mind?"
Said I want to run like the lions
Released from their cages...
Released from the rages
Burning in my soul tonight.
I am a patriot, and I love my country,
Because my country is all I know.
And I ain't no communist,
And I ain't no socialist,
And I ain't no capitalist,
And I ain't no imperialist,
And I ain't no democrat,
Sure ain't no republican either,
I only know one party,
And that is freedom.
I am...I am...I am...
I am a patriot, and I love my country,
Because my country is all I know.
And the rivers shall open for the righteous,
And the rivers shall open for the righteous,
And the rivers shall open for the righteous someday...

Two Rivers
Rains of sand slip through your hands
Never ceasing time
Fold your hands in silent prayer
Eternal peace you'll find
[CHORUS]
Like two rivers flow
to the open sea
Someday we'll reunite
for all eternity
Let the rain falling on your face
Run in to your eyes
Can you see the rainbow now
Through the stormy skies
[CHORUS]
Like two rivers flow
to the open sea
Someday we'll reunite
for all eternity
Like two rivers flow
to the open sea
Someday we'll reunite
for all eternity
Standing in the rising tide
Heaven's light shines on you
On you

Let us be like rivers, Love
The Table shall never meet the Fuji again
Let us be like rivers, Love
Great rivers, not mountains!
On their epic journey to grace
The Land of the gods with much needed hope
Where an arid desert is the ‘mirror of heaven’
Great rivers run from a Great Lake
Ignorant of borders, boundaries or nationalities
They run
But no matter how long or how apart they grow
Great rivers are sure to become one sometime
At the edge of some distant sea

Psalm 98
O, sing unto the Lord a new song
For He has done such great and mighty things
For victory is ours, we stand upon the Lord
And joy to every heart His presence brings
Open up your eyes, ye nations of the world
And see the righteousness of your holy King
Open your heart and invite Him to come in
That all the world may hear the church bells ring
Shout with all your might unto a holy God
Let every part of you shout out with joy
And this shall be your strength, this joy that fills your heart
And every other god He will destroy
And so the seas will roar and the rivers clap their hands
The hills will smile and all the vallies dance
At the coming of the Lord, the mighty King of Kings
With His armies by His side, His kingdom to advance

All Right
Looking out
To the hills, to the setting sun,
I feel a cold wind
Bound to come;
Another change,
Another end I cannot see,
But your faithfulness to me
Is making it all right.
I fall down on my knees;
Tell me that its all right.
You give me what I need.
Years of knockin on heavens door
Have taught me this, if nothing more,
That its all right, what may come.
Ive heard it said,
When the rivers running high,
You get to higher ground or you die.
Well, muddy waves of pain
Washed over me,
And it only made me see,
Its gonna be all right.
I, I fall down on my knees;
Tell me that its all right.
You give me what I need.
Years of knockin on heavens door
Have taught me this, if nothing more,
That its all right, what may come.
When will I learn therere no guarantees?
What strengthens hope, my eyes have never seen,
But it wont be long
Till the faith will be sight,
And the heavens will say,
Its all right.
(all right.)
(all right.)
(all right.)
All right,
I fall down on my knees;
Tell me that its all right.
You give me what I need.
Years of knockin...heavens door,
Have taught me this, if nothing more,
And its all right.
Whatever comes.
All right,
Fall on my knees,
Tell me that its all right.
You give me what I need.
(after all these) years of knockin on heavens door,
(years of knockin on heavens door,)
(its gonna be) all right.
(oooooh, yeah.) all right.
I fall down on my knees,
Tell me that its all right,
cause you give me what I need,
(after all these years of knockin on heavens door,)
Years of knockin on heavens door,
(its gonna be) all right.
Whatever comes, yes sir,
All right.
I fall down on my knees.
All right.

High And Mighty
Intro:
He is high and mighty
He is high and mighty
He is there and ever waiting
Reaching out to you and me
1st chorus:
He is high and mighty
Oh, mighty is his power
Mighty is his love
He is high and mighty
He is there with the answers
Let us lift him up
God loves you, did you know that?
Ain't it good to know he cares
If you're burdened down with troubles
Just go to him in prayer
Say god, i'm just a seeker
I'm empty, scared and lost
Then lay your burdens down
At the foot of the cross
He said ye shall know the truth
And the truth shall set you free
He will guide and lead you
And fulfill every need
Nothing is impossible
If you have faith enough
So if you've lost direction
Stop and just look up
2nd chorus:
'cause he is high and mighty
Ooh, mighty is his power, mighty is his love
He is high and mighty
He is life everlasting
Let us lift him up
Interlude:
High and mighty
He is high and mighty
I believe, i do believe
That his love has set me free
I believe, i believe, i believe
3rd chorus:
He is high and mighty
Oh, mighty is his power, mighty is his love
He is high and he's mighty
It's a wonderful feeling
Let us lift him up
He said if i be lifted up
He said if i be lifted up
What did he say?
He said if i be lifted up
I'll draw all the men unto me
Let's lift him higher, higher
Higher and higher each day
Let's lift him up
'cause he is high and he's mighty
And he has washed my sins away
'cause he's high and he's mighty

Many Rivers To Cross
Many rivers to cross
But I can't seem to find
My way over
Wandering I am lost
As I travel along
The white cliffs of dover
Many rivers to cross
And it's only my will
That keeps me alive
I've been licked
Washed up for years
And I merely survive
Because of my pride
And this loneliness won't leave me alone
It's such a drag to be on your own
My man he left me but he wouldnt say why
Well I guess, I have to try
Many rivers to cross
But just where to begin
I'm playing for time
There'll be times I find myself
Thinking of committing
Some dreadful crime.
And this loneliness won't leave me alone
It's such a drag to be on your own
My man he left me but he wouldnt say why
Well I guess, I have to try, yeah yeah
Rivers, rivers to cross
Yeah yeah
Rivers to cross

Back To The River Of Beli
The rivers of belief
(curly m.c./david fairstein)
Take me back to the rivers of belief
Take me back to the rivers of belief
My friend
I look inside my heart
I look inside my soul
I promise you
I will return
And when the lamb opened the seventh seal
Silence covered the sky
Take me back to the rivers of belief
Take me back to the rivers of belief
My friend
I look inside my heart
I look inside my soul
Im reaching out for you
Lets hope one day
Well rest in peace
On my rivers of belief
