A Red Truck
there is this red

parked alone
it's been there

The last thing I stole was a box of Coca Cola from a parked truck in Adelaide. I was nice and drunk. It was New Year's Eve. And that was about 28 years ago.

Country Comfort
Soon the pines will be falling everywhere
As the village children fight each other for their share
And the six-o-nine goes roaring past the creek
As Deacon Lee prepares his sermon for next week
I saw Grandma yesterday down at the store
Well she's really doing fine for eighty-four
And she asked me if sometime I could fix her barn
The poor old girl she needs a hand to run that farm
Chorus:
And it's good old country comfort in my bones
It's the sweetest sound these ears have ever known
It's just an old-fashioned feeling fully-grown
Country comfort and a truck that's goin' back home
Oh it's goin' back home
Down at the well they've got a new machine
The foreman says it'll cut manpower by fifteen
"Hey but that ain't natural" old Clay would say
You see he's a horse-drawn man until his dying day
(REPEAT CHORUS TWICE)
Country comfort and a truck that's goin' back home
Whoa, it's goin' back home
Hey take me back home
And a truck, and a truck that's goin' back home
Any truck

Comin Home
Words and music by bob seger
Passed the old church on the edge of town
Trailways bus was right on time
Passed your uncles store on main street
His old truck was parked outside
Everything seemed so much larger then
This old town has hardly grown
Has it really been ten long years
Now youre finally comin home
Comin home
Youve been gone so very long
Comin home
Youll just say youre comin home
You left your hometown for the city lights
You were young and you were strong
Lots of traffic lots of sleepless nights
Lots of dreams that all went wrong
Youll just tell them what they want to hear
How you took the place by storm
You wont tell them how you lost it all
Youll just say youre comin home
Comin home
You grew tired of being alone
Comin home
Youll just say youre comin home

Steel Cowboy
I was a steel cowboy most of my life
On top of eighteen wheels
Oh what a sight
Runnning the highways
Looking at life
From behind a big steering wheel
I've seen everything there is to see
From naked women to jacking off queens
Nothing gets missed atop my great steed
The beauty of Gods hand across this great land
Everyday was an adventure that couldn't be planned
I've parked my truck now
I'm now just a man

U R The One
15. U R The One
Verse 1
It was like 6 of us
3 in the Benz, 3 in the truck
On... 85 headed to the Plush
Ten minutes later when we pulled up
I parked the Benz, hit the alarm, glanced down at my rims
Tucked my pant leg in the tongue of my Tims
Hand in my shirt to reveal my gems
Proceeded to walk in
Just then I saw this
Magnificent misses, sippin' on a glass of Cris
With a couple of her friends gigglin' I knew...
Chorus
U R the one
I don't give a damn
Even if ya got a man take my hand, girl
U R the one
Girl I know you'll understand
If u just give me a dance, take a chance, girl
Verse 2
Said, I know u got a few with u
Don't even trip I got my crew here too
Keep it real what u wanna do
I really wanna chill with u
Tell ya friends they can hop in the truck, we'll take the Benz
But if we split up maybe we can hook up again
U never know I guess that all depends
If I can get u from the floor to the door of my 6-0-0
2.0 momo's on low Pro's
So finish that Mo', get your coat
Tell ya girls c'mon let's go, 'cause
Chorus (Repeat)
U-S-H-E-R, say it
U-S-H-E-R, 1-2-3, say it
Chorus (Repeat)
U-S-H-E-R, say it
U-S-H-E-R, 1-2-3, say it

Truck Drivin Song
Im drivin a truck
Drivin a big ol truck
Pedal to the metal, hope I dont run out of luck
Rollin down the highway until the break of dawn
Drivin a truck with my high heels on
My diesel rig is northward bound
Its time to put that hammer down
Just watchin as the miles go flyin by
Im ridin twenty tons of steel
But its sure hard to hold the wheel
While Im waiting for my nails to dry
Oh, I always gotta check my lipstick in that rear view mirror
And my pink angora sweater fits so tight
Im jammin gears and haulin freight
Well, I sure hope my seams are straight
Lord, dont let my mascara run tonight
Because Im drivin a truck
Drivin a big ol truck
Smokeys on my tail and my accelerators stuck
Got these eighteen wheels-a-rollin until the break of dawn
Drivin a truck with my high heels on
Oh, I dont mind when my crotchless panties creep right up on me
And my nipple rings dont bother me too much
But when I hit those big speed bumps
My darling little rhinestone pumps
Keep slippin off the mother-lovin clutch
But still Im drivin a truck
Drivin a big ol truck
Headin down the interstate, just tryin to make a buck
Wearin feather boas with sequins and chiffon
While Im drivin a truck with my high heels on
Im drivin a truck
Drivin a truck
Got a load to carry and some eyebrows left to pluck
And Im late for my appointment down at my hair salon
So Ill be drivin a truck with my high heels on

Truck Drivin Man
(ronnie vanzant -- ed king)
Well hes truckin on down from memphis
Cruisin down to new orleans
Tonight he sleeps alone with a cajun queen
Well theres smoke from the stacks a-blowin
And he dont care where hes goin
The only time he feels right is when hes rollin
Hes got roadmaps in his hand
Lord, drivin just as hard as he can
Trying to dodge them scales and the man
Well Im talkin about
Truck drivin man
Yea hell always give ya, the best that he can.
White cups and coffee, lord yea
Its all that he needs
And hes all right by me
Truck drivin man
Truck on
Truck driver
Shift your gears
Hes got ladies up in north dakota
From the keys man, to minnesota
And he loves each and every one, least thats what hes told em
Lord, flannel shirts and blue jeans
Truck stops are routine
Tonight he sleeps alone with a cajun queen
Well Im talkin about
Truck drivin man
Yea hell always give ya, the best that he can.
White cups and coffee, lord yea
Its all that he needs
And hes all right by me
Truck drivin man
Guitar
Truck driver
Well hes truckin on down from memphis
Cruisin down to new orleans
Tonight he sleeps alone with a cajun queen
Well theres smoke from the stacks a-blowin
And he dont care where hes goin
The only time he feels right is when hes rollin
Well Im talkin about
Truck drivin man
Yea hell always give ya, the best that he can.
White cups and coffee, lord yea
Its all that he needs
And hes all right by me
Truck drivin man
I said hes all right by me
Truck drivin man
I said hes all right by me
Truck drivin man
Play the guitar
Truck driver

Coal-Truck
I am a coal-truck
Carrying gold dust.
Someone threw some
Coal-dust upon
My gold-dust.
I am a coal-truck
In a gold mine.
Someone struck a coal vein
And piled me full in vain.
I am a coal-truck
Covered in subterranean dust.
Someone shovelled my soil
And found an ancient bone
All coiled.
I am a coal-truck
Waiting for the rain.
The sun is my rail
The night my shed.
I am a coal-truck
Rumbling all the way.
Wash me in the rain-storm
And fill me full of coke
Until I choke.

A Road Incident....
a red easy ride is parked
along the graveled road beside a
cemented fence
it is one hot afternoon
a little girl carries on her head
a bunch of ripe bananas
following mother carrying a basket of
clothes
a man wearing a shirt with green row stripes
runs toward the market rushing
it is beginning to rain on this hot afternoon
after a while, the road is flooded
a little boy runs across the road against
an over speeding truck
and then what we hear is a mother
screaming for help

Travel Mode
I went to Wal Mart this morning
My very favorite store
I looked around the parking lot
Before I went through the door
There were semi’s parked there
And many travel trailers as well
Motor homes pulled in for the night
By the time the darkness fell
My heart started beating fast
But it’ll be next year before I can load
My 33’ trailer for another vacation
And get back into the travel mode!

I Am.... (Disgust)
i am the soldier,
crying in his helmet.
i am the gas pump,
guarded by guns.
i am the foreclosed house,
weeping and vacant.
i am the oil rig,
convicted of murder.
i am the big truck,
parked in disgust.
i am the nursing home,
with grave like beds.
i am the field,
unplowed and untended.
i am the bowl,
filled with empty.
i am the boots,
left by the door.
i am the ache,
the want and the need.
i am the hand,
reaching for your breast.
i am the paper, the pen,
the letter never written.
i am the empty bed,
beneath the willow tree.
i am the darkness,
that comes and devours.
the chill of distance,
the tears of an angry god!

It's Parked Outside
What are those guys talking about?
'I have no clue!
Someone should tell them
Wearing costumes to class is rather childish!
Especially that one in that metallic, hooded suit!
What kind of fashion statement is that?
And you should see that 'thing' they got out of!
Go look.
It's parked outside!
Or...
Part of it is parked outside.
And don't look up...
The size of that, whatever it is,
Is tremendous!
How is your Arabic coming along? '
Not too bad.
But this Chinese is extremely difficult!
Did you enjoy the Mexican food we had last night?
'I decided I would try the Korean.
That African buffet was excellent also! '

Friday Night Shopping
I went to do the shopping at the Supermarket Store
Couldn't find a trolley - so hunted round some more:
I dashed around the car park searching every trolley bay
And at last, with the one with the wonky wheel, I was on my way!
Inevitably, I met someone I'd not seen for a while
So we parked our trolleys in the middle of the aisle
Just to make shopping that bit harder for everybody else
Isn't it a pain when everyone just thinks of self/
We had a conversation about this and that
I was really pleased to see her and enjoyed our chat.
Eventually I reached the checkouts where the fun begins'
To search for the "right queue" and start unloading all my tins.
In front of me was a lady, quite mature.
She'd be quick, I was absolutely sure.
Then her cash could not be found amongst papers and all kinds of dockets
In one of those wretched handbags with about fifteen pockets.
I was glad to leave that store - I'd finished work at five - got home at seven
Sat down with a cuppa' which was pure magic, just sheer heaven!

What's The World Got In Store
Close your eyes and go to sleep, baby
Take your head off your feet, honey
Cause you've been working hard and I know you're tired
You been tryin' hard not to think I'm a liar
What's the world got in store
What's the world got in store for you
What's the world got in store for you now
Come on baby somehow, I need you
Do I have to show you how, baby
I'm not trying to knock you out, or was it about
I just now you need your rest I can't say what's best for you
You been workin' hard and I know you're tired
I've been tryin' hard not to feel like a liar
What's the world got in store
What's the world got in store for you
What's the world got in store for you now
What's the world got in store
What's the world got in store for you
What's the world got in store for you now

White Truck Speeds By
I’m driving down Federal on the way to my new home,
I sense that I am not alone.
I look up to see a truck following me,
Or so I thought-
Taking a right I turn down 6th Ave.
I stop in Wallgreens parking lot.
I go through all my stuff that I packed,
I get in my car and I get back on track.
Then as I was sitting at the light,
I notice Guy’s truck real shiny and bright.
His white truck passes and roars,
I see the name of his business on his side doors.
I thought do I text him or not?
Looks like he speed so he won’t get caught.
Caught by me seeing him drive by,
Oh, well I decide to call it a night.
