The Panther
His vision, from the constantly passing bars,
has grown so weary that it cannot hold
anything else. It seems to him there are
a thousand bars; and behind the bars, no world.
As he paces in cramped circles, over and over,
the movement of his powerful soft strides
is like a ritual dance around a center
in which a mighty will stands paralyzed.
Only at times, the curtain of the pupils
lifts, quietly--. An image enters in,
rushes down through the tensed, arrested muscles,
plunges into the heart and is gone.

Iron Bars Of Mine
I stand behind these old iron bars,
To see the things, that I can see
I see a world that is changing everyday,
A world, that will not wait for me.
Behind these iron bars where I must lay,
Behind these bars where I must stay.
In this world where I am alone
Its a world that I helped build,
I make not the laws for how I live,
Time for me, she is held still.
As tomorrow is the same as it is today,
And today is the same, as yesterday.
Behind these bars, its where I am
It is the place where I sit and lie,
My destiny for me has already been chose,
For this is the place where I will die.
When the youth of mine turns into old,
When the dewdrops of dreams turn into snow.
The world that I made out of iron and stone
Where freedom and life is locked away
Where life is a waste, and living a haste,
It is where myself alone will forever stay.
Days and years for me, I have no care.
My only solitude, is sleep and prayer.
My day for me; she will someday come
When from my bars I am allowed to leave,
I will welcome that day with open arms and hope,
As those iron bars, will close behind me..
And for that day I will constantly pray,
As I leave those bars, for the bars of my a grave.

Watching the seasons
Behind these bars
Children wear thick clothes
Snowflakes land on their noses
They create little snow angels
Snowmen and snowballs
Christmas trees alight
Angels on top of them
It is Winter
Behind these bars
I watch the flowers bloom
Snow melts away
Birds chirping and singing
Lovers hold each other tight
Buds open and grow
Sweet smells conquer the air
It is Spring
Behind these bars
The sun watches over
People change their clothes
They sit at the beach
The farmers harvest their crops
Crop and farmer sharing secrets
Whispering in the heat
It is Summer
Behind these bars
Leaves dance all the world's dances
The nude trees shiver in the wind
People drag their umbrellas
Struggle cleaning their leaves
Thousand referees whistling
The howling wolves unleashed
It is Autumn
Behind these bars
Snowflakes are my family
Flowers are my perfume
Wind is my music
Thank you judge and jury
For I will die here
Watching the seasons

A Bond Built
In a valley
Midst purple hills
Far away far
from the noise of man.
Built of wood bondage.
Poles and bars
separate him
from once his freedom.
Round and round
in circles he ran.
First one way
rear and run the other.
Unbroken spirit
wild of eye.
A challenge flung
each time we met.
Through his prison bars
I watched.
What magic spell
lured me near?
Never will I know
the reason why.
From my world
into his I stepped.
Ears cocked high.
Steel muscles trembling
nostrils flared hooves pawed.
True warrior facing me.
We eyed each other
suspicious at best.
Who would be willing
first to show trust.
Eternity it seemed.
Really seconds few.
Then step by step
closer we moved.
To show my faith
I turned away.
Patiently I waited
his response.
Soon soft velvet I felt
whisper upon my cheek.
His breath a warm caress
with a gentle friendly nudge.
No longer a need
for poles and bars.
Between the two of us
a bond of love for life had formed.

The Mars Bar
Oh, lord have mercy for the blessed Mars Bar!
I taste the nought and caramel in my mouth,
And it goes so far,
Just that one Mars Bar!
That Mars Bar can ease my troubles,
And leave me at peace,
For chocolate bars are both a blessing and a curse,
I can't choose which is worse,
Oh, heavenly Mars Bar!
And in the shop I look around,
And see other chocolate and candy bars,
Feeling so ravenous and famished,
Sometimes a galaxy bar will do,
But I always come back,
To the faithful Mars Bar!
The naughty ritual of the schoolgirl,
Pressured to diet,
Dreading the day she will be middle aged and fat,
Not to mention a housewife,
But times are changing,
Curvy is in,
For eating never was a sin,
Oh, wonderful Mars Bar!
I am older now,
But remember fondly those trips,
To the corner shop,
Feeling quietly delighted,
At the same time,
Oh, glorious Mars Bar!

Invisible Bars
It's not prison bars in front of my face
that take my freedom away.
It's people that want to control the world
that won't let my freedom stay.
It's not a cage that traps me inside
and won't allow me to fly.
It's the powerful ones that always hide
just waiting for me to die.
7 billion bodies now on this earth
and most of them aren't free.
It's a tragic play for most of us
that turned into a comedy.
But then the stage was always set
before we came to this place
to take my freedom away from me
with invisible bars before my face.

Riding With Cats Eyes Nine Lives
riding with cats eyes nine lives
riding in dark or moonlight
riding in cloud shadow or rain
riding with a lucky stars roll
riding at speed in night magic
hitting judder bars in darkness
hitting judder bars hard fast
hitting judder bars all alone
hitting judder bars straight on
hitting judder bars at speed
is heightened airborne rush
is riding racing death in night
is riding in night fed wonder
is heightened seconds flying
is ready road rocket launch pad

People meet in bars after work all over the world and talk about the great problems of life and death and the world and politics and they don't take themselves seriously. They can do nothing else except chat about these things in bars after work.

But recently I began to feel that maybe I wouldn't be able to do what I want to do and need to do with American musicians, who are imprisoned behind these bars; music's got these bars and measures you know.
A World Cagged
our world is like a prison
but without iron bars
we are cagged in here
killing all the stars
no walls to obstruct our view
no concrete floors to walk on
no chains to hide you
only a box that cant be seen
we must live in this cage
till we die of old age
when we join the stars
and leave the world of bars

Breaking Unbreakable Bars
Yes it's true I choose
To dream an impossible dream
To fight an unbeatable foe
To go back to that valley of sorrow
Where all brave fear and dare not to go
To change,
An unchangable wrong
For Love that burns as a star
To fight when I'm so tired so weary
To break unbreakable bars
For this is my plan to follow that love
No matter how hopeless no matter how hard
To fight for the right things without question or pause
To fight that evil
For love there is no greater cause
Also because I know that
For love to be true
One must quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm at last laid to rest
But for right now, my family
And I hope I dont die
Before this dream comes true
The dream that I don't deny
The dream of being loved by you
So I write about these things
The toughest things
That I ever had to do
Hoping that maybe this last thought
Might get through
What you won't let go of
No one can take from you
So I've decided to speak
Of the worst of the Hells
That I been through
Because in order to stop the abuse
It also meant that I'd lose you
Also I know that your world will be
A better place because of this
Than for the man scorned, covered with horrible scars
For I still fight with courage
To break unbreakable bars
It is for them, My family
I want them to know
The contents of my heart
These are the words that let me show
The expressions, as a form of art
And when I think
Back into the times of abuse
Attempting to understand why
When I remember the violence and sins
Truly, Truly I hear loves spirit cry
So no matter how hopeless
No matter how far
I know the weakness of abuses bars
For it is truth and change,
Love, that burns as a star
So no matter how hopless
No matter how hard
No matter how weary
No matter how scarred
Love is breaking unbreakable bars
And the truth is
And I wish I could find a better way
That these word could be wrote
To talk to them, tell them about the death grip abuse
Has at our throats
So should I live or should I die
I love you so much
I'm not ever not going to try
I love you so much
I refuse to say good-by
I'll not quit with this dream so close, so true
It's for love
I know unbreakable bars will break into

Bars, And More Bars!
without your lips on my soul,
i can taste nothing.
without your eyes in my darkness,
i am gone blind.
without your tongue on my desire,
my heart stops beating....
without your wetness on my prayers,
my god is dead!
without your moan in my stillness,
even the tomb is harsh and cold.
without your kiss upon my freedom,
everywhere i look...
bars, and more bars!

Classical musicians do this all the time. They want perfection. So they piece things together. Eight bars of this and six bars of that. Glenn Gould said that with a recording he wanted to make perfect versions of pieces.

A Fence
Now the stone house on the lake front is finished and the
workmen are beginning the fence.
The palings are made of iron bars with steel points that
can stab the life out of any man who falls on them.
As a fence, it is a masterpiece, and will shut off the rabble
and all vagabonds and hungry men and all wandering
children looking for a place to play.
Passing through the bars and over the steel points will go
nothing except Death and the Rain and To-morrow.

A Tired Old Man/ Lifts Himself Up
A TIRED OLD MAN/ LIFTS HIMSELF UP
A tired old man
Lifts himself up
With a few small lines-
A poem can lift the soul
as bars of iron cannot.
But the body- the body-
All the poems in the world
Are not worth
One good breakfast.

Auslin
Intercepted! !
But subsequently cleared to go home;
And like the muse of your love behind bars,
But you were naked right in front of the courtroom.
Suspected,
Advice,
Threats,
In the Church with her muse of love to crown the day;
But Auslin called on to the govenment to come out with a clear position on this issue,
Because, your lover is now behind bars!

Rapture
(harry/stein)
Toe to toe dancing very close
Body breathing almost comatose
Wall to wall people hypnotized
And theyre stepping lightly
Hang each night in rapture
Back to back sacroiliac
Spineless movement and a wild attack
Face to face sightless solitude
And its finger popping
Twenty four hour shopping in rapture
Fab five freddy told me everybodys fly
Dj spinning I said my my
Flash is fast flash is cool
Francois cest pas flashe non due
And you dont stop sure shot
Go out to the parking lot
And you get in your car and drive real far
And you drive all night and then you see a light
And it comes right down and it lands on the ground
And out comes the man from mars
And you try to run but hes got a gun
And he shoots you dead and he eats your head
And then youre in the man from mars
You go out at night eating cars
You eat cadillacs lincolns too
Mercurys and subaru
And you dont stop
You keep on eating cars
Then when theres no more cars you go out at night
And eat up bars where the people meet
Face to face
Dance cheek to cheek
One to one
Man to man
Dance toe to toe
Dont move too slow cause the man from mars is through with cars
Hes eating bars
Yeah wall to wall
Door to door
Hall to hall
Hes gonna eat em all
Rapture
Be pure
Take a tour through the sewer
Dont strain your brain
Paint a train
Youll be singing in the rain
Said dont stop to the punk rock
Well now you see what you wanna be
Just have your party on tv
cause the man from mars wont eat up bars where the tvs on
And now hes gone back up to space where he wont have a hassle with the human race
And you hip hop
And you dont stop
Just blast off sure shot
Because the man from mars stopped eating cars
And eating bars
And now he only eats guitars
Get up!

Welcome To The World
Welcome to the world
A world of many worlds
A world of no sympathy
Neither do it has empathy
A world of much struggle
Without which there is no survival.
A world of wine and spirit'
Destroys mind and spirit.
Addiction and self control
Either etiquette or respect
A world of oscillations, from bars,
To behind bars.
A world of sexual immorality
Enjoyment that never last
The effect of body lust
Irresponsible reproductions
Murders through abortions
Spread of killer diseases
A grave to many youths.
World of idleness
Indolent behavior
A friend to many losers
The mother to poverty
Crime and disrespect to everyone
Claiming early retirement
From the world of struggle
To a world unknown to the living
A world of hard work and determination
The way to a better destination
A world of world class recognition
A world desired by all generation'
A world of realizing dreams and visions.

Place De La Bastille, Paris
How dear the sky has been above this place!
Small treasures of this sky that we see here
Seen weak through prison-bars from year to year;
Eyed with a painful prayer upon God's grace
To save, and tears which stayed along the face
Lifted at sunset. Yea, how passing dear
Those nights when through the bars a wind left clear
The heaven, and moonlight soothed the limpid space!
So was it, till one night the secret kept
Safe in low vault and stealthy corridor
Was blown abroad on gospel-tongues of flame.
O ways of God, mysterious evermore!
How many on this spot have cursed and wept
That all might stand here now and own Thy Name.
