Morning After
When morning comes with its dewy light
And the first shafts peak through the window.
I see you gently slumbering your lips slightly apart
You lie passive and gentle.
Unlike the passion of the night before
When wrapped in the velvet night
We ate hungrily at each other, insatiable,
To gobble up each tender morsel.
We savoured the taste of each other
You smelled of roses, a deep musk,
I drank you in like a fine wine.
We coiled in the serpent act.
Then we lay sated, replete,
To gently drift into sleep

Plaintive Night
The evening lay hot and sticky.
I lay wakeful, sleepless and fretful
Drowning in the sultry heat.
The sounds of eventide drifted in
To ooze across my open window.
As I listened with attentive ear,
Each errant sound was carried to my bed
By the winds gentle proposition.
She gently trembled silken curtains to rustle.
A disembodied voice in the plaintive night,
To bring the pungent scents of the frangipan.
The chitterings of playful cicadas
In deep dark velvet midnight.
Far off a murmured accompaniment
Brought soft and low across the turgid air.
The gently whispering sound of the sea.

I Want To Sleep On A Bed Of Roses
I want to sleep on a bed of roses,
I want their fragrance to invade our senses,
In the velvet dark night i want you there by my side,
You and me on a bed of roses.
Was just the sunset and it's coming the night,
When love exists, even the silence is full with light,
I want to share my dreams only with you,
You and me on a bed of roses.
And when the sun rise up and light came in,
I want to wake up gently and to feel like a queen,
Surrounded by petals, with a velvet touch,
You and me on a bed of roses.

Gently
(words & music by wizell - lisbona)
Gently your eyes met mine
Tender, trusting, true
Gently your hand took mine
Thrilled me through and through
Gently, oh so gently
Gentle as the dawn
Gently, oh so gently
Our true love was born
Gently your lips kissed mine
As we strolled along
Gently your heart touched mine
Young and warm and strong
Gently the hour is near
When true loves have to part
Gently well meet again
One more kiss, sweetheart

Unquiet Soul
Why do you write these self destructive verses
Slashing at your unquiet soul in icy solitude;
Crying in your wilderness of angst ridden pain,
There is a bleakness to your life that cools the sun,
Blankets you in shades of your own misery,
To live in the blackness of the inky night.
Hopeless you are, blind to the light, deaf to loves call.
Let me open your cage, illuminate your night,
Bring you into the joyfulness life.
Awaken you from your long sleep with a tender kiss
Warm you in the gentle heat of my love
Bring you into the light and set you free.

Treat Me Gently In The Morning
She remembers the night they first were alone
When he took her home and he said,
I need you, wont you stay?
And all through the night his eyes had a light
That burned very bright and she hoped
His words werent well read lines
A little ill at ease she whispered baby, please
Treat me gently in the morning
Take my heart but stay with me
Treat me gently in the morning, please
Her mamma said, silly girl you should marry him or leave
Hell only make you grieve when he decides its over
Wake up child
But the years fell away, they grew closer they found
Though they had their ups and downs just like lovers do
Still shed say, its okay to fight, when were alone late at night
Ill always say
Treat me gently in the morning
Take my heart but stay with me
Treat me gently in the morning, please
It all went so fast one day he went away
He said st. tropez but he died that winter in a plane
The last thing he sent was a postcard from rome
It read, Im coming home, lady, I love you
And under his name was a p.s. that read
Very simply it said
Treat me gently in the morning
I cant live another night
Treat me gently in the morning
Ill be on that plane tonight

Morning, Noon and Night
When morning shows her first faint flush,
I think of the tender blush
That crept so gently to your cheek
When first my love I dared to speak;
How, in your glance, a dawning ray
Gave promise of love's perfect day.
When, in the ardent breath of noon,
The roses with passion swoon;
There steals upon me from the air
The scent that lurked within your hair;
I touch your hand, I clasp your form —
Again your lips are close and warm.
When comes the night with beauteous skies,
I think of your tear-dimmed eyes,
Their mute entreaty that I stay,
Although your lips sent me away;
And then falls memory's bitter blight,
And dark — so dark becomes the night.

Like A Lover
Like a lover, the morning sun slowly rises and kisses you awake
Your smile is soft and drowsy as you let it play upon your face
Oh how I dream I might be like the morning sun to you
Like a lover the river wind,
Sighs and ripples it's fingers through your hair
Upon your cheek it lingers, never have I known a sweeter place
Oh how I dream I might be like the river wind to you
Oh how I envy a cup that knows your lips
Let it be me, my love
And a table that feels your fingertips
Let it be me, let me be your love
Bring an end to the endless days and nights without you
Like a lover the velvet moon shares your pillow and watches while you sleep
It's light arrives on tiptoe gently taking you in it's embrace
Oh how I dream I might be like the velvet moon to you
Como um radio de sol (Like the sunshine)
A brincar com seui rosto (Playing upon your face)
Oh how I envy a cup that knows your lips let it be me
My love and a table that feels your fingertips
Let it be me, let me be your love
Bring an end to the endless days and nights without you
Like a lover the velvet moon shares you pillow and watches while you sleep
It's light arrives on tiptoe gently taking you in it's embrace
Oh how I dream I might be like the velvet moon to you
I might be like the velvet moon to you
Como um radio de sol (Like the sunshine)
I might be like the velvet moon to you
A brincar com seui rosto (Playing upon your face)
I might be like the velvet moon to you

I might be like the velvet moon to you

Break It To Me Gently
Words and music: paul dean, mike reno
Face to face, I can see that look in your eye
But are you looking at me
Cause you know things arent what they seem to be
Does it matter to you
Or have you played that game before
I can feel you across the room
I wanna know just what it takes
Cause you know that Ive made some mistakes
Ive been down that rood before
Dont want to feel like a wolf when im
Banging on your door
So, break it to me gentiy all night long
Break it to me gently or prove me wrong
Take me to the point of no return, oh yeah
Break it to me gently all night long
All night long
So tell me if Im wrong
But wasnt it you that gave up
Without a fight, last night
So tell me if Im reading you right
Thats when I felt that there was something going on
And now I know what I wanna see
When you walk that way
Do you walk that way for me
Gotta know
Or are you just putting on a show
Cause youre everything I want
And a little bit more
Break it to me gently all night long
Break it to me gently or prove me wrong
Take me to the point of no return, oh yeah
Break it to me gently all night long
So break it baby
Here we go
Oh, oh, oh, oh oh
Oh oh oh, oh oh
Oh, oh oh, oh oh
Oh, oh oh, oh oh
Break it to me gently all night long
Break it to me gently or prove me wrong
Take me to the point of no return, oh yeah
Break it to me gentry all night long
Break it to me gently all night long
Break it to me gently or prove me wrong
Take me to the point of no return, oh yeah
Break it to me gently all night long
All night

Schatz
I remember tasting lips so sweet that they drove my blood sugar level high to the sky
Sweet lips divine so to wine and dine must be a crime
So great the taste I ate till late
From front to back speech tenderly soft and pink I drink
Taint that nice tickling gently to soften moans uttered and muttered
Calm are the seas no more for sickened cured
Tasty liebling lions salute for you are so cute
Face in love I push and shove
Juices sweet and so much to eat
Meat I dine between the sheets for vegetarian I still be
Vegan I am not for I taste the spot so hot
Kitty so pretty rest on my chin I grin
It was on the tip of my tongue for songs I sung
Laps of fire was my desire taken higher
It was like dope that helped me cope
What can I say with you I lay
Thank you liebling for a magical evening
Now left to history for no more the mystery
I would not stop to think of cherry wine to drink
Lips to taste I could not waste a dropp of tender morsel

Gossip (Stream XVIII)
She squirreled away her gossip
Like round brown nuts
To be savoured later
To be pulled over
And inspected
With those aged friends
With nothing better to do
And too much time on wrinkled hands,
Clawed and arthritic.
Hands that have seen hard work,
Hard times.
That held children
Or caressed husbands long gone.
Heads bent close
Their hair monuments to the coiffure's art
Shades of pink and purple
Colour rinsed.
Rinsed out.
Heads nodding
They savour each tidbit
Pink tongues savouring its essence
Their hungry round mouths.
Gobble each morsel.
Pick over its bones
For this is all they have.

The Opium Of The Heart
The night, the open sky
A dance of stars
Beautifully pleasing
An artistry feeds the soul
All is taken in complete
Not a single vision left
Each morsel of thought
Savoured to memory
The warmth of the bed
Holds gently to a slumber
Into the good night
Tired eyes close, remember
The dance of stars
The artistry felt and known
The thought found, kept
And sleep now calls
A dream of another
Held in beautiful thought
A dance to the soul
All the heart could wish for
Could ever ask to find
Is to sleep and awake
Beside another seen in an artists eye
There lays the one to love
To live and share in life
To know completely
Beneath the dance of stars
Love is the opium of the heart

Song from the Persian
AH, sad are they who know not love,
But, far from passion's tears and smiles,
Drift down a moonless sea, beyond
The silvery coasts of fairy isles.
And sadder they whose longing lips
Kiss empty air, and never touch
The dear warm mouth of those they love --
Waiting, wasting, suffering much.
But clear as amber, fine as musk,
Is life to those who, pilgrim-wise,
Move hand in hand from dawn to dusk,
Each morning nearer Paradise.
Ah, not for them shall angels pray!
They stand in everlasting light,
They walk in Allah's smile by day,
And slumber in his heart by night.

~Where Love Grows~
You woke me from my deep sleep-
All slumbered for some time~
Nestled near the shrubs of lavender-
Sound sleep it had been mine~
You ever gently seduced me-
With come-hither eyes~
No need words spoken-
Your body language~
A heart's sweet lullyabye-
Warm and gentle loving calm-
It all came over me~
Tender giving lover-
Purveyor of sweet destiny~
Together we are at last alone-
In the vale of lavender and rose~
Touching one anothers soft-
Velvet petal flesh~
In God's Garden Valley-
New Love- it grows~

I Love The Smell Of Maggie In The Morning
To wake with you each morning,
Such a pleasant thought that is.
Waking on a winter's day,
for winter becomes the bedroom,
waking with you beside me in your bed,
my arms embracing you
gently from behind.
Your body warming mine.
Your hair against my cheek.
Your fragrance in my breath.
The taste of you still on my lips.
And last night's memory of you
stirring in my groin.
You wake and, smiling sleepily,
turn into me and peck softly at my mouth,
with merest touch of tongue,
for ours are morning breaths.
Then, fondling with your eyes in bed,
and touching a finger to my cheek,
you bite your bottom lip
and barely, ever so slightly,
shake your head.

Nightmare
What are these nightmare thoughts
That keep at bay the slumbering night.
Where no sweet dreams me do attend,
And all a tangle in my sheets
Do toss and turn infernally.
My pillows scattered on the floor
Like snow white islands upon the sea.
Oh wretched night I do you fear,
Sore wishing for the light to come,
So that all my doubts and fears shall fly.
Burnt away by the blessed sun.
But then all day I live in terror of the night;
A living wakeful dread.
I fear the dark descending
And the tolling of the midnight bell.

Early Works - The Night
I lay on my bed on a sleepless night
gaze out my window at the stars bright.
The moon now and then gets hazy
as across the sky clouds drift lazily.
The night is cooled by a gentle breeze
that seems to whisper as if ruffles the leaves
and all creatures large and small
into sleep tenderly fall.
The night is peaceful as sounds subside
and stars now and then behind clouds hide.
The wise old owl perches high at night
gazing down to see if everything is all right.
As along paths trodden many times before
descend the cooing lovers once more
to their own private paradise
rich in tranquillity.
The flowers that in the breeze did bend
close their petals to the night again
and the little birds that flew in the morn
nestle in their nest warm.
Sleep endures all
no matter whether large or small
and so must I do this night
until I’m called by the morning light.
Date unknown.

Non Sum Qualis Eram Bonae Sub Regno Cynarae
Last night, ah, yesternight, betwixt her lips and mine
There fell thy shadow, Cynara! thy breath was shed
Upon my soul between the kisses and the wine;
And I was desolate and sick of an old passion,
Yea, I was desolate and bowed my head:
I have been faithful to thee, Cynara! in my fashion.
All night upon mine heart I felt her warm heart beat,
Night-long within mine arms in love and sleep she lay;
Surely the kisses of her bought red mouth were sweet;
But I was desolate and sick of an old passion,
When I awoke and found the dawn was gray:
I have been faithful to thee, Cynara! in my fashion.
I have forgot much, Cynara! gone with the wind,
Flung roses, roses riotously with the throng,
Dancing, to put thy pale, lost lilies out of mind;
But I was desolate and sick of an old passion,
Yea, all the time, because the dance was long:
I have been faithful to thee, Cynara! in my fashion.
I cried for madder music and for stronger wine,
But when the feast is finished and the lamps expire,
Then falls thy shadow, Cynara! the night is thine;
And I am desolate and sick of an old passion,
Yea, hungry for the lips of my desire:
I have been faithful to thee, Cynara! in my fashion.

The Summer sunset washes over me
Into a Lily-White brillance i am led
With incredible dancing shadows falling
I make -the Ivy's leaves- my bed;
I lay me down in this Sovereign Nation-
True Aristocrats-they are the night
I sleep myself through- the eboned hours
Slumbering 'til morn's shimmering light;
Oh, to be as free as a bird on the wing
Dressed in the mornings glorious Dawn-
Lifting myself ever gently into the Sapphire Blue
Just a glimpse of fluttering feathers-blink -and i am gone!
