I Love The Smell Of Maggie In The Morning

To wake with you each morning,
Such a pleasant thought that is.
Waking on a winter's day,
for winter becomes the bedroom,
waking with you beside me in your bed,
my arms embracing you
gently from behind.
Your body warming mine.
Your hair against my cheek.
Your fragrance in my breath.
The taste of you still on my lips.
And last night's memory of you
stirring in my groin.
You wake and, smiling sleepily,
turn into me and peck softly at my mouth,
with merest touch of tongue,
for ours are morning breaths.
Then, fondling with your eyes in bed,
and touching a finger to my cheek,
you bite your bottom lip
and barely, ever so slightly,
shake your head.

I Want To Wake Up With You

When the morning coming and i' m opening my eyes,
I want to see your face and your amazing eyes,
Your smile to wrap me in happiness and joy,
I want to wake up with you.

I want to be the first one that you see,
To give me your first smile and a kiss to me,
To feel your warmth, your silence, your joy,
I want to wake up with you.

I want to keep your hand into mine,
And play with my fingers through your hair,
Kissing you tenderly each time you smile,
I want to wake up with you.

To lay my head on your shoulder,
And feel your breath so close,
I want to hold your heart and protect it,
I want to wake up with you.

To listen your tender whispers,
To feel your smooth skin touching mine,
Your arms passionately hugging me,
I want to wake up with you.

So, i had open my eyes in morning,
Surrounded by roses and love,
I feel like a gorgeous woman in your arms,
I want to wake up with you.

Ive Got To Have You

You came smiling softly
Shyly moving, easy as a dreamer, into my world
Then before I realized the danger
I found myself staring into your eyes
Somewhere in their colors
I saw promises of things Id never seen before
Its all over; Ive got to have you.
Holding onto talking, saying nothing
Knowing in a moment I could lose you
Then without a warning I remember
That you trembled at the touch of my hand.
Knowing when you came to me that
No one else would ever feel the same in my arms
Its all over; Ive got to have you
Waking in the morning to the
Tenderness of holding you asleep in my arms
Dreaming while your hair was blowing
Softer than a whisper on your cheek
I dont know the feeling, so I dont know if its love
But its enough; its enough
Its all over; Ive got to have you.

Green Eyes Blue

Green Eyes Blue

Waking with warmth in my heart and your golden body next to me
A smile on my face morning upon morning
Minds eye scanning memory of every touch, sound, sight of you
The feel of your arms around me, the sweet smell of your breath
And from above…searching me, are your Green Eyes Blue

Eager new flavors, smells and touches brings new joy
Desire for love and hunger for flesh bring these gloves off to touch you
Lips wet and breathes quiver and our legs tangled tight
I want for nothing but your Green Eyes Blue

This woman is awakened by your touch and inspired by your goodness
The fire once thought dead now stoked by your careful hands
Beautiful man of mine holding my heart as we are afloat in this life
I am safe with you beside me as we become lost in each other
My heart is lost in your Green Eyes Blue

Angel Of The Morning

(chip taylor)
Producer for bonnie: jimmy smyth
Therell be no strings to bind your hands
Not if my love can find your heart
And theres no need to take a stand
For it was I who choose to start
I see no need to take me home
Im old enough to face the dawn
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me
Oh my baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Then slowly turn away from me
Maybe the sunlight will be dim
But it wont matter anyhow
If mornings echoes say weve sinned
Then it was what I wanted now
And if were victims of the night
I wont be blinded by the light
Oh my baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby
Just call me angel of the morning
Then slowly turn away from me
Baby baby baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me
Oh my baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel

Wake Up Call

This is your wake up call... young hearts be free
Get up, get on, get out about and shout it
Tell em all youre dressed and on your way
Oh theres absolutely no doubt about it
This is your wake up call
Youre gonna miss it all
Am I the only one out there thats listening
Cos its such a lovely noise that I can hear
Eyes are opening up to all around them
This is their wake up call
Theyre gonna miss it all
Can you feel whats happening here
Everything is changing all around you
Its in the air, electricity
Everybody, yes everybodys waking up
Good morning to you
Youre not the only one out there whos running
But the man whos sitting next to yous asleep
So pick him up and shake him till he hears you
This is his wake up call
Hes gonna miss it all
Can you feel whats happening here
Everything is changing all around you
Its in the air, electricity
Everybody, yes everybodys waking up
Good morning to you
Those whove done all they can do sleep easy
Those that turn away, they sleep alone
But theres no doubt about it absolutely
This is a wake up call
We re gonna miss it all
This is your wake up call
This is your wake up call
This is your wake up call
Youre gonna miss it
Youre gonna miss it all

Gently Ill Wake You

Come to me, baby mine
And Ill make love to you
Just when the sun begins to shine
On the morning dew
Ive been gone, far away
The days they seemed like years
Right by your side Im gonna stay
Kiss away your tears
Gently Ill wake you
I wont hardly shake you
Gently Ill wake you
I wont hardly shake you
And Ill make sweet love to you
Hold me tight, dont let go
Well dream the whole day through
I missed you more than you could know
I love only you
Come to me, baby mine
And Ill make love to you
Just when the sun begins to shine
On the morning dew
Gently Ill wake you
I wont hardly shake you
Gently Ill wake you
I wont hardly shake you
And Ill make sweet love to you

A Winter Message

A flake of snow in flurry thro’ the air
Had landed as a kiss upon my cheek:
A secret message, just for me to share;
To take to heart but never dare to speak
About or presuppose to other eyes
Your open feelings – distant though they are.
And so, upon your lips, my OWN surprise:
A flake of snow returned from me afar.

The Waking

I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I feel my fate in what I cannot fear.
I learn by going where I have to go.

We think by feeling. What is there to know?
I hear my being dance from ear to ear.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.

Of those so close beside me, which are you?
God bless the Ground! I shall walk softly there,
And learn by going where I have to go.

Light takes the Tree; but who can tell us how?
The lowly worm climbs up a winding stair;
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.

Great Nature has another thing to do
To you and me; so take the lively air,
And, lovely, learn by going where to go.

This shaking keeps me steady. I should know.
What falls away is always. And is near.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I learn by going where I have to go.

Don't Wake Me Up

Don't wake me up
I'm dreaming of you
Your skin
Your kiss
Your touch
Your laugh

Don't wake me up
I feel your skin
I smell your hair
I taste your lips
I see your eyes
I hear your laugh

Don't wake me up
Lest I forget
You never know
What if?

What if I forget
And it never happened
And you cease to exist to me
And it seems never to have happened
Please leave a reminder
So I never forget

Don't wake me up
Or I might break
I might fall apart
I might lose you
I might fail
I might forget
What then?
There's nothing left
So don't wake me up
Because you are all that I have

Your skin
Your lips
Your smell
Your touch
Your laugh
Your hair
Your eyes
So don't wake me up

Don't wake me up
Because I need you
And without you
There is nothing to wake up to
Don't wake me up

You were gone (poet's echo)

I tried to remember you
from the way that you look,
from the small frown between that your eyes
against the sharp light,
the way that every now and then
you touch your locks of hair,
but you were gone.

I tried to remember you
when at another place
at times I dreamt about you
and my body was burning for you,
when I could feel your kisses,
your hands on my body,
your breath touching my cheek
but you were gone.

I tried to remember you
when the stars at dusk were shining above me,
with the sun kissing the hillocks,
the night breeze blowing against my body
and I was wondering if you sometimes
think about me when the night is long and lonely
when you lie sleepless until morning light.

For years I was searching to find you,
but you were gone - Until now.

Dead!

Hush! or you'll wake her. Softly tread!
She slumbers in her little bed.
What do I see? A coffin! Dead?
Yes, dead at break of morning.

No, no, it cannot, cannot be!
I know that I can wake her. See!
She only plays at sleep. Ma mie,
Kiss me, for it is morning.

Look, pretty, look! Within, without,
Snowdrops and hyacinths lie about.
Why don't you clutch them with a shout
Blither than birds of morning?

You used to clap your hands with glee,
When I brought flowers. ``Are these for me?''
Now, now, you neither scent nor see
These incense-buds of morning.

Do you not know me, pet? Speak! speak!
There is no answer in her cheek.
To find her now where shall I seek?-
Seek in the vanished morning!

What can I do to make her heed?
I am crying, love; I am indeed.
Open your eyes and see. What need
To tease me all the morning?

Look! We will sally forth and play;
Ramble, and never ask our way,
Lessons and tasks all put away,
As though it were not morning.

We will do all that you desire,
And I will never, never tire
Of romping with you by the fire,
When 'tis no longer morning.

Your favourite tales, oft told before,
I'll tell you, darling, o'er and o'er;
It never shall be bedtime more,
Will you but wake this morning.

I will not ask you to sit still;
You shall be naughty when you will;
Shall spill my ink and spoil my quill,
And squander all my morning.

Alas! Alas! it is no cheat!
Quiet she lies from face to feet!
No smile, no sigh, no hue, no heat,
No earnest of the morning.

Draw high the sheet above her head.
She liked it, so. Dead? No, not dead.
The angels, hovering round her bed,
Will greet her in the morning.

Morning, Noon and Night

When morning shows her first faint flush,
I think of the tender blush
That crept so gently to your cheek
When first my love I dared to speak;
How, in your glance, a dawning ray
Gave promise of love's perfect day.

When, in the ardent breath of noon,
The roses with passion swoon;
There steals upon me from the air
The scent that lurked within your hair;
I touch your hand, I clasp your form —
Again your lips are close and warm.

When comes the night with beauteous skies,
I think of your tear-dimmed eyes,
Their mute entreaty that I stay,
Although your lips sent me away;
And then falls memory's bitter blight,
And dark — so dark becomes the night.

Shake Dog Shake

Ha ha ha
Wake up in the dark
The after-taste of anger in the back of my mouth
Spit it on the wall
And cough some more
And scrape my skin with razor blades
And make up in the new blood
And try to look so good
Follow me
Make up in the new blood
And follow me to where the real fun is
Ha ha ha
As stale and selfish as a sick dog
Spurning sex like an animal of god
I'll tear your red hair by the roots
And hold you blazing
Hold you cherished in the dead electric light
Your face
I'll never see you this way again
I captured it so perfectly
As if i knew you'd disappear away
Shake shake shake shake
Shake shake shake shake
Shake dog shake
Shake shake shake shake
Shake shake shake shake
Shake dog shake
You hit me again
You howl and hit me again
The same sharp pain
Wakes me in the dark
And cuts me from my throat to my pounding heart
My heart
My shaking heart
My howl my shake dog
Oh shake dog shake
Shake shake
Shake dog shake
But we slept all night in the virgin's bed
And dreamed of death
And breathed like sick dogs
We slept all night in the virgin's bed
And breathed like death
And dreamed of sick dogs
Shake shake
Shake dog shake
Wake up wake up wake up
Shake dog shake
Wake up wake up wake up
Shake dog shake
Wake up in the new blood
Make up in the new blood
Shake up in the new blood
And follow me to where the real fun is
Shake dog shake

Treat Me Gently In The Morning

She remembers the night they first were alone
When he took her home and he said,
I need you, wont you stay?
And all through the night his eyes had a light
That burned very bright and she hoped
His words werent well read lines
A little ill at ease she whispered baby, please
Treat me gently in the morning
Take my heart but stay with me
Treat me gently in the morning, please
Her mamma said, silly girl you should marry him or leave
Hell only make you grieve when he decides its over
Wake up child
But the years fell away, they grew closer they found
Though they had their ups and downs just like lovers do
Still shed say, its okay to fight, when were alone late at night
Ill always say
Treat me gently in the morning
Take my heart but stay with me
Treat me gently in the morning, please
It all went so fast one day he went away
He said st. tropez but he died that winter in a plane
The last thing he sent was a postcard from rome
It read, Im coming home, lady, I love you
And under his name was a p.s. that read
Very simply it said
Treat me gently in the morning
I cant live another night
Treat me gently in the morning
Ill be on that plane tonight

Evrything I touch is shaking, shaking, shaking, shaking,

A Morning Call

The silken thread of a cobweb
catches the first drops of morning dew.
They hang like a string of jewels
to sparkle in the first rays of the sun.

The fragrance of an awaking rose
whose scent wafts through the morning air,
as its petals unfurl one by one
to greet the morning sun.

The chorus of the morning birds
whose sweet song of praise,
rejoice the waking of a brand new day,
then alight to fly the freeways of the sky.

The sleepy head tucked in bed
listen for the alarm clock’s wake up call,
but when it sounds, they want to remain
where they are, missing the wonder of it all.

Forgiven

I dreamed so dear a dream of you last night!
I thought you came. I was so glad, so gay,
I whispered, 'Those were foolish words to say;
I meant them not. I cannot bear the sight
Of our dear face. I cannot meet the light
Of your dear eyes upon me. Sit, I pray-
Sit here beside me; turn your look away,
And lay your cheek on mine,' Till morning bright
We sat so, and we did not speak. I knew
All was forgiven, so nestled there
With your arms round. Swift the sweet hours flew.
At last I waked, and sought you everywhere.
How long, dear, think you, that my glad cheek will
Burn-as it burns with our cheek's pressure still?
