No Sun or Moon

Shadows cast over shadows
until they’re the darkest black.
When will the Earth be as before,
when will the light be back?

It’s months since we’ve seen the sun
and our skins are turning white.
The food and water is running out
and we desperately need the light.

Will we ever see blue skies again
and I would love to see the moon?
What can we do with the darkened sky
something better happen soon?

Women are giving sex for nourishment
and some are still having kids.
What future do these children have
with their cribs of dustbin lids?

I would love to look on the brighter side,
but in a world of darkness this cannot be.
I think the best thing that we can do
is dig a hole for you and me.

Shadows Fall

Shadows had been casted way back when, but the light will be there till the end
Misery is not in sight, for the future brings a stronger light
The light of thee and the light of thou, skeptics question why...what....how

It's the fuel that drives this flame, nothing but love no one to blame
Friendship at hand and at the side, only the bad man will run and hide
Times our tough and rough this is true, no more pain in the rain that's all but blue

This light will blind you if unaware, casting that shadow how you dare
Shadows weaken as the light is glowing, one more light has joined see 'em growing
Those in the dark and in self tormoil, may only find their peace in earth's soil

Sad to say that not all is well, shadows casted by the one's that live in hell
Shadows weaken day by day, the light grows stonger truth in what I say
The chains that bind will be unbound, back in your hell play with the hound

Blame this soul or that one too, shadows will fall how so true
It started a long time ago, nothing can be done except see it grow

As Night Descends

The night descends,
The light mixing dark, together they blend,
Shadows pounce upon the light,
Forever turning daylight, into night.

Shadows toy and play,
They own the night... Now they shall seize the day,
They sit upon the earth, and watch light decay,
Illuminated light fragments,
like dust they float, Then fall away,
I shall sit with these shadows,
and enjoy corrupt fun,
watch the light fall, as the shadows have won.

My family of shadows, humble yet dark,
always living in turmoil, killing the light, fading the last spark.
The light is no more, we've won....
these wrongs can never be undone.

Running With The Night

The heart of the city street was beating
Lights from the neons
Turned the dark to day
We were too hot to think of sleeping
We had to get out
Before the magic got away
We were running with the night
Playingin the shadows
Just you and i
Till the morning light
(we were running) oh, oh
Running with the night
You were looking so good girl
Heads were turning
You and me on the town
Ooh, we let it all hang out
The fire was in us, we were running
We were gonna go all the way
And we never had a doubt
We were running with the night
Playing in the shadows
Just you and i
Till the morning light
Running with the night
We were so in love you and me
On the boulevard wild and free
Giving all we got, we laid it down
Taking every shot, we took the town
We were running with the night
Playing in the shadows
Just you and i
Girl, it was so right
Girl, it was so right.

The Darkness Ate The Day

I left the light behind and the darkness ate the day,
I stay in the shadows of the night with little regret to say,
The dark is warm like a subtle flame, even the light was never the same
I should be ashamed to say this aloud, but it's easier to say how I am proud
Proud to let the light stay away, proud that the darkness ate the day
For there is little light to fight back, a world that's nothing but black
Black sun, black moon, black night, black day, all the world's that's black will stay,
Stay the way of the night, always straining to destroy the
Light

When Angels Kiss...

The dark clouds turned into a brighter white,
And the moon it shone with a brighter light.
The flowers of life stand tall once again,
From this world is vanquished all of lifes pain...

An angel stared at me with eyes of love,
Looking down upon me from high above.
I'm mesmerised by those emerald eyes,
I look deep inside to where love lies...

My love approached, eyes down to the ground,
My heart it pumped with a roaring sound.
My smiling heart said what no one could say,
I breathed in every essence of this beautiful day...

And when my Angel uttered, 'I love you, '
Dark black skies turned into sapphire blue.
The bleak grey clouds turned into white,
And the moon it shone a brighter light...

Winters snow it melted and flowed,
The night passed and the sun it glowed.
All of this the world just could not miss,
For it happens only when angels kiss...

Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Flick The Switch

Will you flick the switch and turn on the light,
dusk is here bringing in the night.
Without light I'm really struggling to see,
and being half blind isn't helping me.

How can you be without light in the room,
you're sitting in shadows cast by the moon?
Is it because the darkness brings you peace
and without the light your stresses cease?

You don't seem to look in the mirror nowadays,
is this because you're hiding from your age,
or is there something worse that's troubling you,
something I should know, that's long overdue.

I know I don't see you very often in the day,
because you have to spend time away.
Once in a while it would be nice to see you smile,
so come out of the shadows for a little while.

Or is there something you don't want me to see,
with my eyes you could hide the world from me?
There, that's much better the light's on for a change,
why can't I see you, this is uncomfortably strange?

May you be a light

May it be a light on your path
A light when you walk through shadows
In darkest valleys, in darkest sorrows
May it bring you light on your lonely days

And may You be a light
A light in the darkness
For others to reach
May your light shine upon them
Others to teach

That One Blue Candle

(danny okeefe/vince melamed)
Turn out the light
Darkness makes me sentimental
Warm breeze wraps around us
And theres comfort in your voice
On second thought
Please leave on that one blue candle
Life reveals your secrets
And it gives my eyes a choice
All the shadows dance upon the walls
Love is all thats left to say
As the glow from that one blue candle
Softly lights the way
And tomorrow when the world returns
And the shadows of the night depart
Will the light from that one blue candle
Still be burning in our hearts?
By candle light
These moments slowly melt together
And well make love last forever
This time its only us
All the shadows dance upon the walls
Love is all thats left to save
As the glow from that one blue candle
Softly lights the way
And tomorrow when the world returns
And the shadows of the night depart
Will the light from that one blue candle?
Still be burning in our hearts
Still be burning in our hearts
Still be burning in our hearts

Shadows On Your Side

Shackled and raised for a shining crowd,
They want you to speak but the music is louder than -
All of their roar, with the heat of the planets core, but..
The shadows are on your side,
As soon as the lights go down.
In the darkest place you can find,
You belong to the hands of the night..
Promises made with a distant friend
Truth should be known it can only bend -
To a tune of its own, hey youll never hear that voice again.
Scandal in white on a tangled vine
With everybody to say that youre having the time of your life -
When your life is on the slide, but..
(chorus) (chorus)
-
(oh-ohh...oh-oh-oh)
(oh-ohh...oh-oh-oh)
Spinning a compass to choose your way
You can run, you can dive, you can stand and you can soar..
Whichever way you can be sure, that...
(chorus) (chorus)
Shadows on your side
The shadows are on your side
Shadows on your side
The shadows are on your side
Shadows on your side
The shadows are on your side
Shadows on..

Not Quite Dawn

Not quite dawn, night seeping out of the blue,
troubled sleep, no stars, and you, a week gone,
the whole universe applying its laws to your absence
which is the silence everything returns to like water.
I have never touched you, so my fingertips
can still play you into existence on a keyboard,
though the loss of your voice is a dead bird,
and I am a loose thread of blood in a labyrinth
of motherboards and micro-chips like me
who can’t find a way out of themselves without
turning away like a planet from its own stars.
How quickly the light comes, and the darkness
bleeds away like a love-letter under the door.
No eyes. No hands. No skin. No hair. I am
not even the ashes of a cleft witching wand
that went looking for water and caught fire instead,
and we have shared only the light of the mind
that paints a world with the shadows of a ghost,
and might only be the last habit of an amputee to leave,
a mere mime of the way our eyes make us see.
And yet the heart hurts as if you once were flesh,
and I am awake as if another bed denied me my own,
and I am angry and sad, scared and alone as if
the universe were shy one comet, one bead,
one firefly among billions who shone for me
and that light was brighter somehow than a galaxy.
The day grows a new skin over your absence,
and I am as out of place, out of time, as a streetlamp
still shining down on its feet in the morning.
And there could be a thousand and one reasons
you don’t write back, why the black crow caws,
the sky is a concrete rose, the blood of the poppy
runs along the gypsy blade of its undulant smile.
From the heights, I can see a small, blue egg
smashed on the rocks below, a gesture of ruin;
from the depths, the remnants of a shattered star,
and all I can do is stare into the relentless images,
a word without a mouth, like the new moon
shucked from my tongue like a black pearl.

Shadows

The rising of the moon wakes up the shadows
and commands them to emerge from the dark.
The daylight shadows are disappearing fast
with the sparrows the dove and the lark.

As always the light makes way for darkness
as it’s chased from night’s time and space.
The dark shapes seek out those of the light,
at this hour there’s no hiding place.

The shadows of the darkness will not submit,
away from the light they’re there.
Instinctively they wait until it’s eerie
then venture where nothing else dare.

After a night of changing shape and haunting
the shadows themselves feel fear.
The daylight is coming up on the horizon
and the night shadows flee and disappear.

Power to the Women of the World

Power to the women of the world
Women with W for winners
Women with O for Order
Women with M for Movement and mothers of hope
Women with E for energy, everywhere, every time
Women with N for Necessity

Women of the world
Our struggle needs your attention
Our struggle needs your support
Your children in on earth have no future
Your children in in the wolrd will die, if you sit
Your children in in the world are dying
Your husbands are culturally polluted and they are dying
Your pots are blown by light air
Your fire have burned months ago
Your future is no more

But this is your time
Your time to rise Women of the world

Ghost In The Mirror

I've been hearing voices
Voices in my head
Can't escape the noises
Lying in my bed
The winter nights grow colder
The darkness falls too soon
I will hide till morning
How silent is this moon?
Just one look and I will find
Someone else on the other side
A trick of light or the darker mind
Ghost in the mirror
And as the dawn is waking
The shadows burn away
The sun reborn the savior
The safety of the day
Just one look and I will find
Someone else on the other side
A trick of light or the darker mind
Ghost in the mirror
The darkness calls me
The shadows fool me
Is it safe on the other side?
Is this my future?
If it's a dream why can't I wake?
Just one look and I will find
Someone else on the other side
A trick of light or the darker mind
Ghost in the mirror

Facing The Sun, Late Afternoon

driving back home
at the white bridge
the light of the sun
that later afternoon
blinds me, like
what i feel today
i close my eyes
see shadows
let them all inside
my heart,
i open my eyes
half asleep
letting all the shadows
simmer like
i am a dry earth
receiving a little rain,
thoughts run like water
boredom is the dryness
the ennui
fleeting memories
haunt like thoughts
coming back at me
with swords and scales.

'what am i doing here? '
i stop the car, get out from there
and stand on the side of the
white bridge.

'i am doing nothing'.
the water below is silent.

You are like an alien

Your behavior has hurt me so much
My mind has exploded like a supernova
The scattered emotions are turning into poetry
Revolving around you my star like planets and comets

Your beauty has impressed me so much
My love has turned into something like a nebula
That is giving birth to lust's light like newborn stars

Your make-believe has made me believe
That true love really exists in this dreary world
And gives me light in the darkness like distant quasars

Every now and then the fights with you
Has turned you into something like a black hole
Now you are invisible to me but attract me ever more

You are like a sweet dream in the dreadful night
But it will not come true in this life coz you are like an alien
In the 2.5 million light-years away from earth Andromeda galaxy

Shadows of Hate

Hate
Fear
Anger
Love
Hiding in the shadows is now where I can feel it home so why not just
stay there
Shadow peaceful still quiet at last
So why must we all destroy them with bombs and guns and all the
flashes in the weapons still be there
Why must we always make so much noise in this world that takes away
the peacefulness of the shadows
Why must we always kill each other use so much violence in the world
to make so many into graves just because of thing like
Hate
Fear
Anger
Love
Power

All those people need to be sent into the shadows just to know what
they can truly hide from the world
To truly know all the people that love to be in shadows that grew up
living in them and know how much they can come in to hand when all
that people fear is in them
And those people all the only ones that can come even remotely close
to being truly afraid of the light
So why do people destroy the darkness
Hate
So why do people stay away from the darkness
Fear
So why must people kill the people of the shadows
Anger
What can make all people stay together even in darkness
Love
Why must people always try to control the shadows
Power

All people are evil but nobody will ever notice it
Through all their own evil will shine through

Shekinah Light

The shekinah light drove Moses into the cleft
Felled Paul on the way to Damascus
Blinds all who look upon God’s unveiled face.
The light must be diffused to bring life
Light cast shadows from creations store
Beneath the shadows, life teams multicoloured.
Only the shadows give meaning and hope
So the light came, human in form
Seeable, recognisable, man shaped
Yes the light in him gave shape to everything
He is the prism by which love is known
Creation is ordered, humanity has hope.
The shekinah light of glory can be looked at
Bring new life, new hope, out of the shadows

Children Of The Night

Well we rifle through the night,
Like riders on the run now, in the street--
Holding back the blinding light,
cause a thousand eyes can be so indiscreet,
And we hide away, love the night away,
And we run between the shadows and the light,
*were children of the night,
Runnin from the light,
Children of the night,
Of the night, oh yeah.*
In the day we pass like strangers,
cause we fear the consequences of our love,
And we realize the danger,
Still we choose to take our chances on our love,
And we hide away, love the night away,
And we run between the shadows and the light,
( * repeat)
Theres a fine line, such a fine line, a very fine--line,
Between the day and the nighttime,
The wrong and the right time, for makin sweet love,
Find a place to hide, anyplace to hide, hidin in the -- darkness,
Feels like the right time, for love in the nighttime,
For makin sweet love.

Our Sun

Our Sun
on edge
of world
signals
days rush
has finished,
dusk, and
twilight
time begins.

Our Sun’s
warmth stays;
it’s love
still warms,
removes, the
shadows from
our souls.

Moon,
a lightened mirror,
rising on a
darkened
world,
allows

Our Sun’s,
reflected light
to shine,
to remove
the darkness,
and uncertainty
from our lives.

Our Sun is
always free,
no charge
given to
light and warm
our hearts, our souls,
our lives.
