They March Towards the Sun
Fall with the drizzle and watch
The myriad of sunsets
Like the ubiquitous mist, and
Wade through the mud
To create the ripples that
Would whisk the stark portrait
Of the striding demise
One by one, footsteps fell
Like raindrops on the eaves
With the same alacrity
And magnitude, and mass,
Outnumbering the silence
Of my sojourning breath
And the gushing rivers
Pummeling the latticed walls
Of my abashed lashes
From my gaze they thawed
Into bodies, into silhouettes,
Into shadows treading
The paths towards the sun
These soldiers armed for wars
Heads held like wards,
Arms folded like barricades,
Eyes like sentries watching,
And souls like battlefields
Before the war, silent but
Brazenly shunning disaster
They held their married guns
Close to the fathom's of the viscera
Like a crying child, some
Like a dead wife, and
Loaded them with bullets
Fear clouted and nil dodged
For the patios never quaver
Safe within their turrets
The sanguinary epistles
Invoked by anticipation
Dissipates with their cloaks
As they knocked through the gloaming
And rummage for virgin grounds
Safeguarded by an intangible
And invisible strength and valor
Whilst I careen closer,
Like curious spectator
Blinding the storm's eye and
Becoming the scull and temper
Of this modest typhoon;
Emotions on a violent vertigo
Behind the marching thirty seconds
Towards the small sun
Feigning my own bastion.

Toy Soldiers
Soliders
Standing tall and proud
Marching in the rain
Brave and corageous
Facing what I don't know I could
Yet still knocked down
Our toy soliders
Bullets and guns
Death spelled in red
Dying for what?
Hopeless wars that will continue
Even as our toy soliders are knocked down
They get back up again
Trying the end meaning less killings
Our toy soldiers

We got lucky tonight
I'm standing still on my drive
I hear the crowd marching on
the road with their heads held high
holding the most love I've ever saw
all as one with signs saying stop the war.
Mothers who have lost their sons
claimed as heroes they are dead
due to oil and the bulls eye guns
you run from
propaganda, goverments and queens
as I follow the marines.
But now I watch my mother cry
marching with her sign held high.
So where are you?
where ever you are?
if you are at work?
or sat in your car?
if you are at home?
or when you get home
turn on your tv
watch the news
watch the news
if a soldier has not died
then we got lucky tonight.
My mother watches it
and she doesnt know I am by her side.

Silhouette (live)
Silhouettes, silhouettes, silhouettes,
Silhouettes, silhouettes, silhouettes.
Took a walk and passed your house late last night,
All the shades were pulled and drawn way down tight.
From within the dim light cast two silhouettes on the shade.
Oh what a lovely couple they made.
Put his arms around your waist, held you tight.
Kisses i could almost taste, in the night.
Wondered why i'm not the guy whose silhouettes on the shade.
I couldn't hide the tears in my eyes.
Silhouettes, silhouettes, silhouettes,
Silhouettes, silhouettes, silhouettes.
Lost control and rang your bell, i was sore,
"let me in or else i'll beat down your door".
Saw two strangers who had been two silhouettes on the shade,
My heart skipped a beat i was on the wrong street.
Rushed down to your house with wings on my feet,
Loved you like i've never loved you my sweet.
Vowed that you and i would be, two silhouettes on the shade.
All of our days two silhouettes on the shade.
Silhouettes, silhouettes, silhouettes,
Silhouettes, silhouettes, silhouettes.
Two silhouettes on the shade.

Belong
Her world collapsed early sunday morning
She got up from the kitchen table
Folded the newspaper and silenced the radio
Those creatures jumped the barricades
And have headed for the sea, sea
Those creatures jumped the barricades
And have headed for the sea
She began to breathe
To breathe at the thought of such freedom
Stood and whispered to her child, belong
She held the child and whispered
With calm, calm; belong
Stood and whispered to her child, belong
She held the child and whispered
With calm, calm; belong
These barricades can only hold for so long
Her world collapsed early sunday morning
She took the child held tight
Opened the window
A breath, this song, how long
And knew, knew; belong

Fleeting Visions
How sometimes invisible secret eyes,
Capture marvellous fleeting visions,
And see the spectrum of reality,
But the wise regard a product of insanity.
Often I wonder at the sight strange,
And the heart longs to have once again;
That my eyes captured,
While praying to God for bounteous blessings
On the Matchless and the Most Sacred.
I do swear, I did behold,
The fair creature sitting straight
In the rows long, each extended,
Left to right, beyond the sight,
With folded knees, in silence serene,
Of the same colour, age and size,
Myriad like blossomed pink poppies,
Cultivated in lines, swaying in breeze.
Long lashes, black brows, modest eyes,
The ornaments of down casting purity,
Muslin coverings on the heads veiling
Rosy faces emitting thin glow,
Sat on the ground, swayed heads,
Like oscillating cradle about to stop.

Armistice day
I rewrote a previous poem of mine......
Brave buildings built in honour of
The ones they left behind
With thoughts still whole unspoken
Of a sentimental kind
Of the men who go to war without
Any question of deceit
The ones that die on battlefields
And of serious disease.
For though some wars are over
And many battles lost
These buildings tower over us
So we can count the cost
Lest we forget our fallen men
So shall we every night
Remember those who held their flag
And thought their fight was right.
There's a strangeness now about the world
That’s making this all seem
Like so many leaden soldiers
Just a'marching in our dreams
But though this now is commonplace
And although we hate all war
Those human boyhood soldiers
Are still dying as before.
Why do we all go through this
Time and time again
Why do we fight our politics
With the bodies of brave men
For there's a truth that lies amongst the dead
Both infidel and blessed
And they are clearly asking us
Why we can't put war to rest.
Lest we forget war's horrors
And lest we forget the pain
Then every single bloody war
Will be repeated once again.

A Twerriffic Twilight
A romantic rainbow painted the silver skies,
whilst my charms held her and arms pulled the gaze of her eyes,
as we danced daringly in the drizzle,
and smiled mixing our heat with the sizzle
of the sun that dried the wet drops
that fell on our wet kisses' head tops.
And we stopped and looked once more at rainbow skies,
that painted as well a colourful love in our betaken eyes.

Hatching More Deaths
The cold wind echoes through
the cobwebbed dungeon I held
inside this splintered cellar
and stirred the trepidation
to crawl in the sweating skin
naked before a looming flame
A knot pulled in the gut
like a snake slithering into
my advances towards your light
collapsing into the dark
feigning a valiant act
to roll a stair for your fall
I wished for you oblivion,
your oasis and sobriety
In your huddling cloud of storm
I trespassed in silence
breaking like a panther
inside a dark cavernous heart
unscented in a vulnerable state
rivaling against fear and doubt
and the niceties of the night atrophied
This predicament coils asleep
under the eaves of the shy tongue
and tethered to the shards
of a broken moor in the heart
poisoning from the viscera
brooding another death
and when it is spoken
it is hatched - as you decline
I shifted back into
my ethereal fears and doubts

The Collective: The Ancient Windmill
Behind the blear of the setting sun
It stood aloft, shearing a line
Splicing the crimson and ocher tan
And in its façade it intertwined
Blending in the shadow as it spun
The fortuitous wind it forever consign
Oh! How it loomed athwart the shore
With a salient stance too sturdy
Subsisting the weather with covert valor
For many a tale that fell in history
Travels with the winds it scull and roar
With many a soul it had ferry
Like a sentry it muse upon
The small world down its feet
Whilst propelling the gears to run
To endeavor even when on the edge it sits
For it knows with virtue and wisdom
The secrets to vie and reflect in split
And there it stands to gaze on us and aid
Whilst we watch you too, never fading in savant shades

Close Your Eyes
I am walking the streets at night,
bathing myself in the moonlight,
watching others go about their business,
so many people living in the darkness,
but this is not a dark and colourless land,
for you must try and understand,
that here your thoughts are divine,
as every moment is frozen in time.
Close your eyes, forget your name,
for in darkness we’re all the same.
Close your eyes, then lose yourself,
for you’re the same as anyone else.
Close your eyes, release your past,
for the future is the one and only task.
Close your eyes, follow your soul,
as it will make you complete and whole.
I am lying awake in my bed,
thinking about what people have said,
words spoken in times of madness,
and held in anger and bitterness,
looking out of my bedroom window,
in to the darkness and the shadow,
seeing the mysterious world outside,
where normal people do not hide.
Close your eyes, untangle your heart,
so your emotions can just fall apart.
Close your eyes, lay yourself bare,
find the beauty to make everyone stare.
Close your eyes, fight your fear,
for everyone is safe in here.
Close your eyes, dream your reality,
then you’ll know what you could be.

San Simeon Hill Zebras
Drifters, if they could be.
Sometimes, when they think
no one is watching,
they near the barbed wire.
Hooves and hooves and hooves.
A silent choir, a mass
of muscle-held cellmates.
Their heads are full of high grass
and long shadows. They dream
of lowland lions grifting gazelle.
Behold the moiré bolting
of the chain-gang jumpsuits
—dust and dust and dust—
safe in their target-striped caps!
Close
Across the miles
It's funny to me
How far you are but now
Near you seem to be
I could talk all night
Just to hear you breathe
I could spend my life
Just living this dream
You're all I'll ever need
You give me strength
You give me hope
You give me someone to love someone to hold
When I'm in your arms
I need you to know
I've never been
I've never been this close
With all the lovers
I used to know
I kept my distance I never let go
But I your arms I know I'm safe
'Cause I've never been held
And I've never been kissed in this way
You're all I'll ever need
You're all I'll ever need
Close enough to see it's true
Close enough to trust in you
Closer now than any words can say
And when

Not So Grand Escapade
Basking in the mirth
Buckling with the dearth
Chances of exoneration
In consummate beguilement
I sail with oars heftier
Than the anchors pummeling
The slumbering trepidation
In the red sea of despair
Sculling like a vertigo
Inveigling the sirens
To drown in the whirlpool
Of rose-wine inebriation
As I rummage for answers
And succor for an alliance
Toes vying for escapade
And chocking in the gilded rope
Knotted in the lofty gallows
I tripped in the enemy lines—
That close, still asphyxiating
And tangled like the cobwebs
In my empty heart, pilfered of map
Slowly in this gambling wile
I am losing myself downhill
Filleting and skinning to bipolarity
I am becoming what I dread
And what I dread comes closer;
Closer than the sun's graze
To what I breath for subsistence.
Basking, buckling, vying and choking.

On a dream about you
On a dream about you
~
I dreamt about you last night
Where you lay in my arms sleeping
I kissed your brow goodnight
And held you as close as I dare
I closed my eyes and fell asleep
We lay together so peaceful
Upon waking still within the dream
I brushed back your hair
Saw you smiling back at me
Tightly we held each other
While we said our good mornings
You placed your head upon my chest
As I wished this moment to last
That we may never leave nor change
I told you I loved you
That I would make you my wife
I held you close in my arms
Kissed your fair lips
And awoke alone to write
On a dream about you
I dreamt last night

Portrait Of A Stranger
For a little while I wanted to wander between two roads
Save my fear
I may fall
in love with my two selves
in two roads... and with
divided love I may roam forever
which but I wanted for a little while
a little while forever perhaps is truly rare
A glimpse of your dance
like marching drops of monsoon rain
I wanted to paint your eyes once
And draw out of it your tear drop,
islet of your pain.
Which flows like smiling rays.
Save my fear
making you smile may become my only joy
and in black and white
I end up painting your eyes
and keep wondering whether they held
the beauty of evening or the mystery of night
As you were going away
I wanted to get a click of your face
and rejoice over it that you remind me
of a beloved, once who was very close and the epic
of my heart break whose pen wrote
Save my fear
your reflection may get stuck in my gaze
And I embark in a travel with no coming back
holding the hands of a portrait who was but just a stranger.
A Boy at the Window
War raged on as if that was how it was meant to be.
There were no sides. You killed your allies,
or you were killed by them. Fear made us
choose the former. Tears rolled down my sweaty cheeks.
Blood stained my mud-splattered skin and clothes
and fear.
The streets smelled of Hatred. Why so much Violence?
I desperately wanted to stop and mourn
for fallen friends, but there was no time for weakness.
I had to keep moving so no one could learn my strategy,
armed only with shields for eyes and daggers for teeth
and fear.
The streets smelled of Hatred. Why so much Violence?
I marched silently. My shoes made no sound against
the pavement and my footsteps were invisible.
I thought this would protect me: not my first mistake.
As far as I would see were nothing but the aftermath
of massacres and the afterthoughts of murder
and fear.
The streets smelled of Hatred. Why so much Violence?
I looked up to see a small, pale face hiding
behind a window. His arms were at his sides.
His eyes were expressionless bubbles.
I stood and stared at his innocent features,
and the child-who was blind to the bloodshed
that lay before him-held up his hand in a wave.
My face broke into a smile as I waved back.

Our Own
i heard you crying...
i dont know your name;
but i can feel your hunger,
your pain, can smell
your fear...
just like it was my own.
there are no walls
between the living,
no self imposed barricades,
no structured classes...
there is only breath!
and blood! and need!
tongues groping for souls
that taste like our own!

Love Like The Video
She sends her smile by satellite
Steaming up the screen at night
Got the mouth, knows how to squeeze
Every line of make-believe
In the flesh, just like a dream
Fingers touch the fantasy
To hold so close, her lips near mine
Bodies on the borderline
Oh, when the lights went down
I held my breath
But she held the freeze frame
Love like the video
Why cant she love like the video
Captured hot on thirty-five
Tempting all to idolise
Leading lady, pleading man
Picture post, l.a., cannes
Every take is just like the first
Every fake so well rehearsed
Passions are the cruelest part
Deception in the coolest heart
Oh, when the lights went down
I held my breath
But she held the freeze frame
Love like the video
Why cant she love like the video
