I Saw Him Again

I saw him again.
The last time I found him
Eating fervent fire and drinking wine
Reveling in the elegiac dusk
Uttering of cheap talks and of dusts
And on how vicariously cognizant he was
On how it precipitates and wan
From defying the plummeting
To catch the sun's elusive graze
To participate and transpire
In the esoteric feast of grace
Thus, he's reveling, to outlast.

I saw him again.

The last time I exhumed him
Thawed in the nook of the world
Like a vulpine fox, a surreptitious raven,
Perched at the hinges of the firmament
Wearily encumbered by his wry and fake smile
Malingering to part the doldrums and acquaint
With a superfluity of colours, brand new contours
Swaying with the scathes of the pendulum
Dousing the evil (replete and deplete) parting his lips,
Whittling the lulling stupors of a lullaby
Sundering the soul, the sea, the sky.

I saw him again.

The last time I muse upon him
He was enraptured by the curtaining rain
And vexed by the fandango of the sun;
They are both made of daggers to him
In his peripatetic stillness void of calm
He mused the pole-dance of the stars
Until his eyes are stark white and blind
From the suppurations of iridescent light
He searched for his unfathomable core, blindly,
And deciphered the ominous intricacy
Ousting him from the heraldry.

I saw him again.

The last time I saw him
He wore his suit of grandiosity
Graying from the long haul
His face devoid, his apathy ensconced
In the bones, in the constitutions
His eyes sprawled in the slumbering mirror
(Now half awake, half-barely-alive) ,
He smolder in flames to congeal
From the serrated remnants
Where verve and demise connive
To intertwine, and there perpetually die.

The next time I'll see him
I hope it will be in his funeral
Donned in an absolute smile.

Maybe This Time

I look into your eyes
and think maybe this time.
Maybe this time
I won't get my heart ripped out.

Maybe this time
I won't get lied to.
Maybe this time
there will be trust.

Maybe this time
I will be in love and happy at the same time.
Maybe this time
He won't be un faithful.

Maybe this time
My tears won't come crashing down.
Maybe this time
your eyes won't lie.

Maybe this time
your smile won't trick me.
Maybe this time
Love will mean something (to the both of us)

Maybe this time
I'll have a true smile instead of a fake one.
Maybe this time
It'll work

Maybe this time
my heart won't get tossed a side and beaten.
Maybe this time
your warmth will calm me.

Maybe this time
When I'm in your arms I'll feel safe, and be safe.
Maybe this time
You will see the real me.

Maybe this time
You will be there.
Maybe this time
Whe I see you, I won't cry.

Ya....maybe this time........maybe this time.

Verisimilitude of Grandiose III: Debonair Soiree

Trample in the lacquer marbles of a soiree
And whittle an elegy from the toppling sea
Of our struggles behind the concealing drapes
And of the waltzing feet and swaying knees
And you will find nothing but a fraudulent soiree.
Come, debonairly donned in a dishabille suit
By the most splendid textile and luxurious craft
Hand tailored by your lamentations and sentiments
With a cigarette parting the fake smile on your lips,
A pen and paper squirming inside the tattered pockets,
For this is a revelry with a putrid kind of loneliness
Where you would wither like a hapless wallflower
Only without any walls to catch your recumbence
Or nacreous eyes to witness (or share) the sordidness.
Then raise a highball of gold dusts while
People drag at each other's sycophancy
In a swanking heraldry of tuxedos and ball gowns
Some would wear it mournful in black, some in fiery red,
Some in the tepidness of blue, some even half-naked,
But only in the same fashion of a bull fight's carnage.
The prismatic miasma of the debonair soiree erodes the vivid
Frescoes from the milieu to undrape the lustful invitation
Crying for a tea cup of egoism, and a scarce spoonful
Of grandiosity farfetched from a meaning
Then you will realize that you had forgotten
Your masque, for this is a masquerade.
Indeed, life is a delusive debonair soiree.

The Last Dance

He’d offered her his hand to dance
Politely, she’d declined.
“I have promised many others,
-perhaps another time.”

He accepted this with all good grace-
“Perhaps another time,
When your dance card is nearly full,
The last dance shall be mine.”

The night was young and she was fair,
Men clamored for their chance.
In some eyes she saw routine lust,
In others- true romance.

Her card was signed by many
There remained a single line.
She stopped back at her table
for a final cup of wine.

The dark and handsome stranger
was waiting for her there.
She took his hand without protest
as he rose up from his chair.

He led her to the dance floor
as the band played one last time.
The music was a stately waltz
done in three quarter time.

His arms were strong and masterful
as he led her in the dance
Her will seemed to desert her
as she fell into a trance.

In the half light she looked up
And searched his face and eyes
The eyes of Death looked back at her,
In lust for her demise..

Swept up in her dance with Death,
She uttered not a sound
for she was in his power now.
and destined for the ground.

The Dance Electric

Good morning children
Take a look out your window
Our world is falling
It's almost time 2 go
(Dance)
Dance the Dance Electric
The rhythm is love and love is blind
Love your enemies
There isn't much time, there isn't much time
Look - our world is falling
A rhythm-less house of blinded prophecy
Hear our Master calling
This isn't what He wanted us 2 be
We got 2 dance the Dance Electric
Listen 2 the rhythm of your soul
Come on and dance the Dance Electric
We better love each other, it's almost time 2 go
Don't - it don't make U happy
2 give another someone your own smile
Dance the dance electric
Never mind your hatred, try a brand new style
Dance the Dance Electric
Listen 2 the rhythm of your soul
U got 2 dance the Dance Electric
We better love each other, it's almost time 2 go
We... love... all... enemies
Look - U're livin' in Babylon
Makin', but not feelin' love at all
When your youth is gone, when it comes 2 dawn
A light of truth will shine and U will fall
That's why U got 2 dance the Dance Electric
Listen 2 the rhythm of your soul
U got 2 dance the Dance Electric
We better love each other, it's almost time 2 go
See the light inside of us
U're stuck in living, livin' life as bad
Whatever U do, don't U let your life go without my love
It's the only life that U will ever have
Why don't U (dance) dance the Dance Electric?
Listen 2 the rhythm of your soul
Why don't U dance the Dance Electric?
We better love each other, it's almost time 2 go (almost time 2)
Dance the Dance Electric
Listen 2 the rhythm of your soul
Come on and dance the Dance Electric
We better love each other, it's almost time 2 go

Flick The Switch

Will you flick the switch and turn on the light,
dusk is here bringing in the night.
Without light I'm really struggling to see,
and being half blind isn't helping me.

How can you be without light in the room,
you're sitting in shadows cast by the moon?
Is it because the darkness brings you peace
and without the light your stresses cease?

You don't seem to look in the mirror nowadays,
is this because you're hiding from your age,
or is there something worse that's troubling you,
something I should know, that's long overdue.

I know I don't see you very often in the day,
because you have to spend time away.
Once in a while it would be nice to see you smile,
so come out of the shadows for a little while.

Or is there something you don't want me to see,
with my eyes you could hide the world from me?
There, that's much better the light's on for a change,
why can't I see you, this is uncomfortably strange?

Grief and Loss

Words fall short
To express a sense of loss.
It can only be felt
In the emptiness it left.

In the longing of your heart,
In some chamber of your soul,
For a dear one gone
In a flash, we are forever apart.

In the silent tears
That flow down your cheeks,
Soaking the pillow case
As you lie curled up in bed.

In the half smile
That never reaches your eyes,
The void that fills you
And makes you wonder why are you alive.

With time the ache becomes dull,
And from time to time
You find yourself awake
Tossing, turning going down
The memory lane,
Some sweet some full of pain.

You are never whole,
As long as there is a longing
In your soul.
In time you realise
You have to let go,
And make peace
And deal with grief.

Finally when it does,
You grow wise
Compassionate and loving,
And gain a new insight
Into life that is a mystery.

The Face of Love

When I gaze upon your countenance
I see all who I have and will still love
and your eyes a blue summer sky
warming the very core of my being
The alabaster perfection of your skin
crowning your lustrous beauty
Your inviting mouth drawing me in
to savour your sweet taste
to guess at your secrets
hidden behind an enigmatic smile
You are like a secret rendezvous
hankered after by all
Time cannot be defined
for you are infinite
in your freedom
Face of my beloved
the face of love

By: Suzette Crous

Inspired by:
The Face of Love
by Ingrid Jonker

Your face is the face of all the others
before you and after you and
your eyes calm as a blue
dawn breaking time on time
herdsman of the clouds
sentinel of white iridescent beauty
the landscape of your contesses (sic) mouth
that I have explored
keeps the secret of a smile
like small white villages beyond the mountains
and your heartbeats the measure of their ecstasy
There is no question of beginning
there is no question of possession
there is no question of death
face of my beloved
the face of love

Its time to sing

Its time to sing
and dance in rain,
Its time to go out,
and get steep in rain.
Its time to forget
all the miseries of life,
Time to throw away,
the crutches and wyes
Its time to rejoice,
time to play,
With droplets in hand,
hope in eyes.

Its time to sing
and dance in rain,
Its time to go out,
and get soaked in rain,
Its time to swing,
Time to swill,
With serinette in hand,
sing with cuckoo,
sing with Peahen
Songs of life
Songs of joy.

Its time to sing
and dance in rain,
Its time to go out,
and flirt in rain,
Its time to meet
Time to greet
Its time to love,
Time to hug,
With hum on lips
and mistletoe in hand,
Kiss the life
embrace the love.

Now Is The Time

(ian hunter)
(transcribed by justin purington; minor correction by colin ford)
I can smile
On a warm summer day
I can laugh
I can listen to the children play
But Im going to miss
The killer with the kiss
He was a friend of mine
Now is the time
Now is the time
Its going to rain
Hope it dont rain on you
Theres going to be a lot of pain
Before this thing is through
If jesus was alive
Hed be standing on the m5
Holding up a neon sign
Screaming now is the time
Now is the time
Now is the time
So many people cant see
They think that love is blind
But it aint free
Theres a line
So many people have crossed
And now their love is lost
Say goodbye
My funny valentine
Now is the time
Now is the time
Now is the time
Now is the time
I can run
Just as far as my eyes can see
And Im free, yeah,
Just as free as I want to be
But I wont ever forget
That crazy little planet
He was a friend of mine
Now is the time
Now is the time
Now is the time
Now is the time
Now is the time
Now is the time
Now is the time

Into My Life

Carpet stained with my red wine
Ive been staring at the fire
I keep looking at the time
Im waiting on you
I can hear the howling wind
Yes the sound is getting higher
As the night is closing in
Im waiting on you
Those big black eyes wicked smile
That you flash as you walk through my door
Into my life
Into my life
Into my life
Wont you come in and sit right down
Here let me pour a stolichnaya
Why is it when you come around
Im waiting on you
We drink until we get too tired
Even though you try to dance for me
I still cant light up your fire
So Im waiting on you
From time to time I feel so blind
And theres still so much more left to do
Into my life
Into my life
Into my life
You call me on the telephone
You say that I am always busy
So why am I here all alone
Waiting on you
I pick you up in my white car
I could fall ever so easily
Why you keep me hanging on
Im waiting on you
Still, those big black eyes wicked smile
That you flash as you walk through my door
Into my life

As Long As You Smile

I would dig my own grave,
And lay to rest alive,
As long as you smile,

Taking a long thin blade,
Stabbing it through my chest,
As long as you smile,

Shedding out tears,
Like the clouds pour rain,
As long as you smile,

Because as long as you smile,
The sun will shine,
As long as you smile,
The stars will light up the night,
And as long as you smile,
I will be here,
But when that apocalyptic day comes,
And your smile fades away,
There will be nothing left for me,
As your smile means the world to me,

So smile,
If not for you,
For me

As long as you smile,
I will smile,
And join you,
In a place where there is only you and I,
Together like spring and flowers,
Never without one another,
Alone in the light rain showers,
We shall stand,

And if we are ever torn apart,
Searching for each other,
Till found,
Reunited,
So smile,
Just smile,
And as long as you smile,
All will be fine

Moment In Time

there was a time i loved your face,
i loved your smile,
i loved your everything
and suddenly my world crashed in million peaces,
i hated your face, i hated your smile,
i hated your everything,
as the time passed i learned to live with it,
learned to see your face,
learned to see you smile,
yet your smile was never the same,
i know there is something missing,
that shadow over your face is something new,
but where is the shine in your eyes i used to see,
i used to love, it is not in your eyes,
that shadow stole it,
that shadow which is all over your face, what is it?
i'd like to know will i ever see a smile i loved,
or was it just a dream, a moment in time i got lost in
, and i never found way out, i tried to find it
but i know now that i'm lost forever in that short moment
, now i beg you to show me the way out
or i'll never love anyones face or any other smile
, please let me out of that prison of your eyes,
let me be free from your smile,
i need to get out i need to see the light again,
this shadows are killing me,
let me go or move the shadows away
and keep me forever locked in your smile,
in your eyes and in your heart

Prince

Now I see his face, I see his smile
Such a lonely place, no golden mile
Eyes tell of morbid tales of his black heart
His deeds through ages past tell of his part
See his face, see his smile
Time to die
Angel from below, change my dreams
I want for glory's hour, for wealth's esteem
I wish to sell my soul, to be reborn
I wish for earthly riches, don't want no crown of thorns
See his face, see his smile
Time to die
I was born a fool, don't want to stay that way
Devil take my soul, with diamonds you repay
I don't care for heaven, so don't you look for me to cry
And I will burn in hell, from the day I die
See his face, see his smile
Time to die

For The First Time

(jud friedman, allen rich, james newton-howard)
Are those your eyes
Is that your smile
Ive been looking at you forever
Yet I never saw you before
Are these your hands holding mine
Now I wonder how I could have been so blind
And for the first time I am looking in your eyes
For the first time Im seeing who you are
I cant believe how much I see
When youre looking back at me
Now I understand what love is, love is
For the first time
Can this be real
Can this be true
Am I the person I was this morning
And are you the same you
Its all so strange
How can it be
All along this love was right in front of me
And for the first time I am looking in your eyes
For the first time Im seeing who you are
I cant believe how much I see
When youre looking back at me
Now I understand what love is, love is
For the first time
Such a long time ago I had given up
On finding this emotion ever again
But youre here with me now
Yes I found you somehow
And Ive never been so sure
And for the first time I am looking in your eyes
For the first time Im seeing who you are
Cant believe how much I see
When youre looking back at me
Now I understand what love is, love is
For the first time

When My Time Is Done

when my time is done
the rain will peacefully
over the meadows
watering the branch of a new life
the birds shall stay
perched on a tree and
sing they beautiful
melodies
and high above the
star shall begin to sparkle
with all they beauty
and when they go and hide
rays of sunlight shall
bathe the world in splendor
as laughter and joy
spread though out the world

And as my time is
now perched on a bench
my family picks up the pieces
as my mother holds
her head looking for answer
and to those who
knew me put a reminiscing
smile on the face
as life goes on
and though my time was short
it was plentiful as
a smile came to someones face
when i spoke and a mother had a son
who taught her to smile
when thing fall apart

Vicissitude III: Summer

The uncouth sun barks
A blaring fiendish cry of war
Slavering like a mad dog
And it thawed into the tarmac
Gnawing the concrete to scintillate
A fervent fire in the gouts
Casting a lofty mirage
Of his esoteric trance
And I quelled the sun
With my own febrile tongue

Amidst the agog flame dance—
A farce chain of rings
For it sequester not concatenates—
I sat in bleak and cold asunder
Breathing in the summer haze,
Eating the marring flames,
To feed my arduous fire
That summer tries to halt
Fire versus fire; a firebreak for abeyance

Whilst the cicadas and crickets hum
The monotonous euphony of the noon
And the sun forks the frozen brook
Sleeping in this searing vicissitude,
I try to mirror his mighty rays
With a warm ubiquitous graze
Establishing an infinite place

Half A World Away

This could be the saddest dusk
Ive ever seen
Turn to a miracle
High alive
My mind is racing
As it always will
My hand is tired my heart aches
Im half a world away here
My head sworn
To go it alone
And hold it along
Haul it along
And hold it
Go it alone
Hold it along and hold, hold.
This lonely deep sit hollow
Im half a world
Half the world away
My shoes are gone
My life spent
I had too much to drink
I didnt think
And I i didnt think of you
I guess thats all I needed
To go it alone
And hold it along
Haul it along
And hold it
Blackbirds backwards forwards and fall and hold hold.
Oh this lonely world is wasted
Pathetic eyes high alive
Blind to the tide that turns the sea
This storm it came up strong
It shook the trees
And blew away our fear
I couldnt even hear
To go it alone
And hold it along
Haul it along
And hold it
To go it alone
And hold it along
Haul it along
To go it alone
And hold it along
Haul it along
And hold it
Blackbirds backwards forwards and fall and hold hold.
This could be the saddest dusk
Ive ever seen
Turn to a miracle
High alive
My mind is racing
As it always will
My hands tired my heart aches
Im half a world away and go.

He is always there to greet

He is always there to greet
Each morning
I meet him daily
As I wait for my bus to turn up
And at least a five minutes’ interaction
With him has become of late a routine
He sports no smile, though
He talks with this
Emotion-less eyes
And with a smile
Which I deciphered
After repeated examinations
Of his thin lips
A slim boyish look young man, as he is
With a well-above-average height and
Commonly acknowledgeable handsomeness
He has a gait
Apparently bent a bit forward
On the right
With his body weight acting
On his left leg
A person you can never miss
In that bus stop
Once he said
Why don’t you look like me
Well dressed
In a similar blue suit as of mine
With a white shirt
And a conventional tie
Blue in colour with white stars
Placed in a special design
I told him
You have been paid
For sporting this look
While I need to buy them
And I hardly need to look the way you seem
He can only continue
With the same hidden smile as
He is only an advertising model
On a flexi board
Promoting sales of a particular brand

First Time And Lvst Time

half bottle of red wine
half sense of my body
lighting cigar is lighting my body
reminding me of that ice-wine

you told me it was your first time
drank such a sweet wine
you liked that passion after drunk
i believe so as i believe in you

you told me you had such lots first time
with me
even your first time
i believed, now i wonder

first time is not so important
i had told you
being honest to each other is the most
i had told you so

now you are enjoying your first time
with someone else
i do hope
he will believe you forever

someone said
even there is a lie
in the word believe
i shocked for his wisdom

f^ck'n that first time
i do hope you have two v
as you have in your name
maybe more v
but why you call it first time
why not call it your lvst time

enjoy your first time
enjoy your lvst time
cause you are not so young to own
such lots of first time

Sound Effects And Overdramatics

When the shirt came off, it was all in time
When a m-m-m-minute turned into a mile
And then I broke that grin, and I cut it out
And you got all turned on by the taste of your sin
When I mention blue, all you thought was color
When you mention drugs, all I thought was sober
When your pants came off and I turned you over
When you mention blue
Kill! Smile! Cut it out for me this time!
Smile, haven't seen him smile in a while
Keep the mask aligned
Get it up in time
There's a space between valleys
and try and catch a vibe
Make a circle square, a rectangle curve
Use a smile as a noun and I think like a verb
Run quick switch sides
Spill the filled up canister
And the room is shaking
Now you're changing places,
and I switched my pace,
and my breathing races when you mention blue
Kill! Smile! Cut it out for me this time!
Smile, haven't seen him smile in a while
Kill! Smile! Cut it out for me this time! (This is not [x6])
Smile, haven't seen him smile in a while
Kill, smile, cut out for me cut it cut it out
Smile, cut cut it out for me cut it cut it out
We cut it out!
Kill! Smile! Cut it out for me this time!
Smile, haven't seen him smile in a while
Kill! Smile! Cut it out for me this time! (This is not [x6])
Smile, haven't seen him smile in a while
Get down and stay awake
