Reflection
Slouching beside my parents
A shabby shriveled bloke
Wrapped himself in a rug worn
Laden with a bulky bag torn
Unfolding his bulky carryall
‘Showcasing’ couple of his works
Animated with the literary styles
And so musical with the themes!
Jibes from the parents & verbose he became
Coaxing them, with the recitals repeat
And so bared the similes, couplets & metaphors
Wide eyes wrestling with the prospective buyers
………………………………
………………………………
Though decades and decades passed, while
Posting my poems on poetry site
Requesting attention of members agog, occasionally
Reflecting somewhere deep inside
The faded picture of that shabby bookseller,
His jaunty rhymes, imploring eyes & that unrewarded return

Three Lazy Bulky Women
Three lazy bulky women,
Sleeping on a bed,
What a loud snore they have,
Almost busted my ear drums,
If you see them watching TV,
Or you know how they eat,
They have such untidy manners,
You’ll feel to vomit in that scene,
Three lazy bulky women,
How disgusting they are,
Don’t comb their hair,
Or brush their teeth,
Just walk around the way they are,
Three lazy bulky women,
Don’t go too near them,
For you r going to get a disease,
That is lazy-yendriya.

Heavyweights
Each rhino stands a bulky beast,
My word, they sure stand out!
They start off big, then they're increased,
Then spread their weight about...
Yes, heavyweights, that's how it is!
Their strength self-evident...
To them, their weight seems not amiss,
That's just the way it went!
The rhino's horn is his defence,
It's like an afterthought...
Against the ones who aren't his friends,
So that he won't get caught...
And at forty miles an hour,
Well, you try matching that!
Who can comprehend his power?
With one foot he'd squash you flat...
No wonder that he eats a lot,
So he can run at length...
He's fat, yet doesn't care one jot,
He must keep up his strength!
Well, I'm glad I'm not a rhino,
As bulky as can be...
'Cos I'm quite thin in fact and so
I'm happy being me!

Modes Of Love
Who can forget,
Pages of the bulky book of life,
Even though
They are torn to pieces.
The first colour that awoke in the eyes,
The first name that my lips liked,
The village and an unpaved
Path of that village,
The first spell of love,
An undreamt dream in your eyes,
And lowering my eyes of in shyness,
Innocent confession in my denials,
While saying “Yes” my impulsive “Nots”
Who an forget,
All these modes of ‘Love’.

Tattered & Torn
Tattered and torn
Tattered and torn
Thats where my soul is worn
Tattered and torn
Thats when I was born
Tattered and torn
I broke away from me
Tattered and torn
I knocked me to my knees
Tattered and torn
I drink my own cells
Tattered and torn
A decomposing well
Tattered and torn
Roaches in my head
Tattered and torn
I become the living dead
Tattered and torn
Tearing myself apart from the
Things that make me hurt

Shabby Doll
Giving you more of what for
Always worked for me before
Now Im a shabby doll
Whats going on behind the green elevator door
With just a shabby doll
Theres a hit man facing
A compromising situation
With just a shabby doll
And a very neat line in character assassination
Shes just a shabby doll
Shes just a shabby doll
Shes putting him off and putting you on
Shes just the shabby doll
Youre swearing upon you know in your heart
Shes gone you know in your heart
Shes just a shabby doll
Theres a girl in this dress
Theres always a girl in distress
Shes just a shabby doll
Shes so sure shes self-possessed
Then again shes half undressed
Shes just a shabby doll
The boy that I used to be
Showed no sign of sympathy
For just a shabby doll
I have betrayed you and me
And paid for my own bribery
With just a shabby doll
(chorus)
Hes the tired toy that everyone enjoyed
He wants to be a fancy man but hes nothing but a nancy boy
Hes all pride and no joy
And being what you might call a whore
Always worked for me before
Now Im a shabby doll
Untie the gag the cats out of the bag
But wont show his claws
Hes just a shabby doll
She said you must be joking
Some things are left unspoken
Youre just a shabby doll
Hes lying limp and soaking
He was openly broken
By just a shabby doll

The Real Trouble
Moving statues with heads brainless,
Clean cloaks, and dresses stainless,
With heavy drooping sleepy eyelids,
And heartless flesh, bulky bodies,
Sit they in the state halls to decide,
The fate of the downtrodden wise.

Married woman assumes importance.
A bulky structure, in conventional saree,
With glamourless modesty, above forty,
She was spotted by me, with her man near by.
I imagined seducing; I fantasized raping.
Her sexiness failed to lure me.
But my conquering spirit lured me.
A woman is awed
When she is married.

Old Treasury
I walked with a white hair grass,
wearing a classic fashioned glass,
and torment with humor aged hats.
He is bulky old brass,
painted and unpaved task,
but his memory is sharp more
than a fellow young craps.
How i wish my life will be like him
as he was. But thank God - being
his good troublesome, he made a
lovely incident letter that last.

Allow me to decide the course of my life
Allow me to decide the course of my life
He was a bit bulky little boy
Finding it difficult to get up
And walk on his own
When we, as parents, helped him
To get up and walk
He used to sweep aside
Our helping fingers
So that he could move around
On his already hurt bruised knees
He made at last his first step
When a tri-wheeler walk-aid
Was presented to him
Its colourful handle
With chiming bells hanging
Charmed him to put forth efforts
Towards walking
It was indeed a scene to witness
The struggle of that little cute baby boy
To walk on his own
It was a pleasure to watch him grow
Physically, mentally and emotionally
It was to my pride
That I hear often that
Elders appreciate his polite, gentle
And well groomed manners
He hardly complained
Probably, adjusting within himself
With the environment he is in
I had no occasion
To discipline him
As most often he was
Well conforming to our expectations
Now he stands taller than me
In every aspect
Walking in youthful gait
I need to raise my face
Whenever I talk to him
He is in the process of
Making a living
As very normal Indian parents
We started looking for
A suitable life partner for him
Assuming him to have understood
That we have a role in that
As per my observation
He reacted for the first time
With a firm invincible response to say
Allow me to decide the course of my life

Animal World
the sun so far off
i could feel more love
from it than you
all the stars
they are waving
friendship from
a trillion miles away
and you three
feet from me
feel like in another world
the dragonflies
red tailed, hovering
in the noon field
round bulky eyes
look as if they know
my heart and are
pouring their love
into me
and you, a warm
blooded, given all
god's graces of a
creature are living
as if in a box devoid
of all emotions
and oh, the dophin
it is more human than
all of us combined

A Voice From The Farm
It is my dream to have you here with me,
Out of the heated city's dust and din--
Here where the colts have room to gambol in,
And kine to graze, in clover to the knee.
I want to see your wan face happily
Lit with the wholesome smiles that have not been
In use since the old games you used to win
When we pitched horseshoes: And I want to be
At utter loaf with you in this dim land
Of grove and meadow, while the crickets make
Our own talk tedious, and the bat wields
His bulky flight, as we cease converse and
In a dusk like velvet smoothly take
Our way toward home across the dewy fields.

Forced Song (parody)
(with apology to Koos A. Kombuis)
Like a tart
in hungry weeks,
I yearn to reel
– with a flowering girl-
with pornography
in children’s libraries
my members and I
are stinking rotten
like my god Hitler
that lives with me in Soweto,
like honourable gentlemen
visiting a in ghetto
heavy and bulky,
I am writing in a hurry
even when I bump my head
just as it pleases me.

Black can be hidden by white
You have no regret that you are bulky
If you learn to walk with grace
As does an elephant with its thighs.
You have no regret that you are flat on chest
If you learn to dart like a rabbit,
Which charms by its move, chest unseen.
You have no regret that you are dark
If you chat in singing voice
Of a Koel, whose dark drops to us.
You have no regret that you are dull
If you are useful to your master
Like an ass, who toils are limitless..
If the portrait is good,
the frame from sight is shed.

The real eyes
there are so many
ways to look at the world
as many ways
as there are eyes
just ask the bulky
eyed whirring cicada?
the slit eyed hawk eagle?
the moon eyed owl?
there are as many
ways to see the world
as there are invisible eyes
the old man you see
in your reccuring dream
the images that refuse
to leave the mind
even one goes blind
the eyes you dont see
through which you see
the eyes that scan a
million world for you
to see just one world

It works in the comic book, but as the audiences have gotten older and more sophisticated, I think the stories need to grow up with them. This is a story about a couple of rival gangs and what goes wrong in a couple of days.

Baseball players have the worst body in sports
Baseball players have the worst body in sports
Gymnast and swimmers have the best
High board divers are fit and firm in form
And football players have to much fat
Ballet dancers look fine in their cups
Long distance runners are tight by their breath
Weight lifers are much to bulky in their built
So which is it that I like best?
It is the ice skater that takes my heart
Their movement of grace pleases me to no end
The way they twist trill and bend
The way they lean upon the narrow blade
Jump and sway with a skater’s grace.
