Tattered & Torn
Tattered and torn
Tattered and torn
Thats where my soul is worn
Tattered and torn
Thats when I was born
Tattered and torn
I broke away from me
Tattered and torn
I knocked me to my knees
Tattered and torn
I drink my own cells
Tattered and torn
A decomposing well
Tattered and torn
Roaches in my head
Tattered and torn
I become the living dead
Tattered and torn
Tearing myself apart from the
Things that make me hurt

Torn And Tattered Heart
my heart is torn and tattered
it seems like nothing else matters
i gave my heart, soul, and mind
and thought it would last for a long time.
you find someone which you grow to love and
it gets deeper and higher than the stars above.
you feel that this love will forever last
but it becomes part of the past.
when you see this person change their points of view
but! not to satisfy you.
just to satisfy their blown egos and their conceit
and your love they could never meet.
and now your heart is a divided road with
nowheres to go.
you pick up the pieces of your torn heart
and look for another place to start.
this torn and tattered heart knows it must
pick itself up again-and start the search all anew
in hopes that it'll find someone better than you.
someone who will appreciate all the love
that you have to give.
for in the long run they will win.
they'll win a heart which has gotten strong
and with you it will belong.
this is my heart which i give to you- which will
no longer be sad or blue.

The Tattered Cord
The tattered cord
can again become knotted.
It holds
but it is torn.
Perhaps we'll face
each other again
but there,
where you left me,
you'll not meet me
again.

A Voice Lays Hanging On A Pole
like a tattered piece of
loin cloth
a voice lays hanging on a pole
beside a
grassy path
it speaks
and i listen
it speaks about its loneliness
its being tattered
it is a torn voice haunted by
a scissor
the thread of mystery runs
wanting still
till nighttime to find the naked
eye
of the needle
pines beside the hill
stand by
like strangers staring
upon the dead body
of a boy
overrun by a ten wheeler
truck
tragic! yes, tragic is the
silence
more tragic is the indifference
that simply walks away
unnoticed even by the invisibility of the
soul of
the wind
chimes.

I Dont Wanna Go Home
(lead vocal - lenny zakatek)
Go back home you damn fool
Surely you know you cant win
You should never have come near this place
You should have stayed outside, lookin in
Its too late to turn back
Nobody asked you to try
But they blinded you with diamonds
And all the money that money can buy
And Im so afraid of being on my own
But I dont wanna go home
You cant win you damn fool
You drank all the wine from the cup
And your painted ladys gone now
And youre way back on the downside, lookin up
You cant catch the monkey on your back
Nobody asked you to try
But for every heart they held a spade
And you lost more than money can buy
And Im so afraid of being on my own
But I dont wanna go home
Im like a washed up rag
Tattered and torn
I wish Id never been born
And Im so afraid of being on my own
But I dont wanna go home
Im like a down and out just blowin my horn
Oh I dont wanna go home
Im like a washed up rag
Tattered and torn
Oh I dont wanna go home

It's the Tattered End of Autumn
It’s the tattered end of autumn,
when the beech tree’s yellow dress
has rusted
and a thick carpet
of mustard
lies rotting underfoot.
It’s the tattered end of autumn,
when the white bones of the birch
are exposed
and its last leaves
cling
like baby koalas.
It’s the tattered end of autumn
when single leaves
dance solos
and next door’s blower
disturbs
the stillness of mid afternoon.
It’s the tattered end of autumn
when bed beckons
and the moon is bright,
and you and I touch toes
tenderly
under the doona.

Torn Butterfly
Torn butterfly torn butterfly
Seeing you there it makes me cry
Torn butterfly your wings they tore
From the weight that they bore
Torn butterfly it's plain to see
That you are just the same as me
Torn butterfly the world is tough
Hard as stones and just as rough
Torn butterfly I know your pain
And I don't want to know it again
Torn butterfly come join me now
And we'll regain our wings somehow
Torn butterfly it's sad but true
In death our wings become brand new
Torn butterfly just fade away
And we will fly this very day
Torn butterfly this note I send
And hope that you will cause your end
So we can fly in clear blue skies
Where no one hurts and no one cries
Torn butterfly with my last breath
I ask you to come join me in death

SQUATTERS (Slum-Dwellers)
We cleaned the Dorm this morning
and found the dead rat
The Matron said it stank
and must be thrown out.
I suggested a good grave
but she said,
"Throw it into the garbage."
I pity the innocent rat
helpless at the dreadful
claws of the cat.
So we argued.
She said, "Rats are dreadful!
and cats are the protectors! "
She complained about her loss
Mentioned about the her torn,
Tattered rags and cartoons.
She said, "Rats must be exterminated
That the City of man gets rid
Of the ugly and grotesque! "
But I said,
"They need their right home
and if dead, they need
the right grave."
I see no longer the native rats
because of the wild cats
No more torn, tattered rags,
papers and cartoons.
And the wild cats rejoice
over the order and new wonders
for which the Matron -
the recipient of congratulations.
"Rats must not contaminate
the City of Man, "
the Matron said.
And she added,
"They are eyesores
They smell and stink
so throw them
into the garbage."

Broken
Broken,
Like a thousand shards of glass,
Bloody on the floor.
Still here,
Too afraid to walk out the door.
The hands that used to caress
Now inflict pain and suppress.
No love is left.
Broken,
Tattered, torn and scarred,
What once was love
Is now battered, bruised and marred.

He is in My Boat
Though raging waves of pain come crashing
Though howling winds of doubt and scorn
Plague and rock my boat of living
My sails of Hope lay tattered and torn
Faith my compass is secure
Rain and storms I will not loathe
He gives me the strength to endure
The Lord, my God is in my Boat.

Breath Life Into Me
Your breathing life to me.
Don't you see its exactly who I wanted to be.
A world so small and I'm on top of it all.
To the fullest here it comes.
Your breathing life into me.
Don't you see its exactly who I want to be.
Angel of my nightmares.
Destroying all the despair.
Happiness is in the air.
Weather the storm.
Riding in my rust bucket of a ship.
When it sinks, can I swim?
I was on the brink but now.
Your breathing life into me.
Don't you see its exactly who I want be.
The truth has traveled so far.
Page tattered and torn.
With wisdom so worn.
Breath life into please oh oh oh please.

Alone And Torn
Stuck in a corner, or so it feels
Struck into dark, my light conceals
Snuck on past, past the repeals
Tuck my mind, depressing ideals
Searching for the will, alone, torn,
I depart inward, alone, torn
My greater jihad, ignorance would be bliss
Nigh is temptation, cast into a sinful abyss
Why is the question, one to reminisce
Cry out for help, somethings terribly amiss
Yearning for the will, alone, torn,
I emaciate away, alone, torn
Dazed by the truth, longing to repent
Fazed by my failure, inwardly I lament
Phased must be this battle, a battle of torment
Amazed if I succeed, I can't circumvent
Corroding without the will, alone, torn
I asphyxiate my soul, alone, torn

Knocked And Ran
He, on a road, was standing
Ignorant of the road-laws.
He was in his tattered clothes;
A poor village child he was.
I was sitting in a car
On the left of the driver.
When the car came near the child,
It was slowed by the driver.
He sounded aloud the horn,
But the child did not it care.
The child, in his tattered clothes,
Remained standing mutely there.
He was aping the gesture
Of the driver of the car.
How joyful in his action,
As if he were in the car!
He was moving round his arms
In driving his unreal car.
The driver, taking the side,
Safely steered his real car.
But a truck from the front side
Down the road speedily ran.
The child, in his tattered clothes,
The truck driver knocked and ran.

An Old Windmill
An old windmill stands on a hill;
it once stood proud
as the wind swept round its sails.
Now deserted,
tattered and torn
a shell of its former self,
a relic of a bygone day.
A home now
where wild animals play
and lovers shelter
from a midnight storm.
Forlorn it looks down
from the hill,
ragged with a broken sail
that old windmill.

Femdom
Blame has somehow fallen my way,
Though I weren't in the guilty fray,
Pained by what she'd not got to say,
We enter a violent ballet,
To my love I eagerly fawn,
Only to end up as her pawn,
Blind to where the line's to be drawn,
I fear getting tattered and torn,
She sheds the guise she's wise to don,
While trust in her is all but gone,
A safety word's not agreed on,
When I'm whom her wrath falls upon,
The hell into which I was thrown,
Contained hurt never before known,
Lashed with pain I started to groan,
But with rapture I in time moan.

The Ship Of Hearts
what is the ship of hearts you ask me!
it is a ship where the hearts roam free.
where all the hearts gather to tell what's the matter.
to speak of loves lost and loves found
and of loves on the rebound.
they will have their conferences of each heart
and how it got its start.
each will speak of what they've gone through
and how to stop it from happening to you.
each heart will have a tale, and how it did fail.
every heart had suffered pain
and the experiences that they had gained.
they will talk of how they gave their heart
and it was torn apart.
so now they gather on this ship
and try to save the hearts thats ripped.
ripped and torn and thrown to the side
and how 'out of this hole, they did climb'.
for no matter what they go through
there will always be someone to
fall in love with you.
so these hearts gather their strength
and learn to fight till the very end.
and on this ship, they now gather as one
and with all this power combined
these tattered heart will all be fine.

Rags To Riches
(words & music by adler - ross)
I know Id go from rags to riches
If you would only say you cared
And though my pockets may be empty
Id be a millionaire
My clothes may still be torn and tattered
But in my heart Id be a king
Your love is all that ever mattered
Its everything
So open your arms and youll open the door
To all the treasure that Im living for
Hold me and kiss me and tell me youre mine evermore
Must I forever stay a beggar
Whose golden dreams will not come true
Or will I go from rags to riches
My fate is up to you

I am Lost Now
Thoughts of Nothing
Thoughts of Darkness
No Dreams or Goals
No Hopes or Spirit
Only the Remnants of a soul remain
Tattered and Torn, No hope of Revival
I am lost to my self
I am lost to all
Deserted me, my friends have
Deserted me, my soul has
Deserted me, all for a Dream
I am Lost Now
Oh so Lost
No one to run to
No where to go
My only wish is to disappear from memory
To be lost in the depths of time, and space
For I am an Empty bottle
Cast aside without a second thought
