The Window Washers
How sad they go to the peak of skyscrapers
on a tiny moving scaffolding
and wash the windows let others to see the Zenith?
But they do not have valid documents
to enter the Heaven?
They just come down
holding the life-line
When the dangerous work's over?
to my poet friend and the short story writer Premji in gratitude!
[I was disgusted by reading this news in a paper; 'They couldn't just let Mary Richardson Kennedy rest in peace. The estranged wife of Robert F Kennedy Jr., who was buried near the Kennedy clan's Hyannis Port compound over the objections of her siblings, was dug up last week and moved to a remote part of St.Francis Zavier Cemetery.I thought myself where do they bury me one day? Is it handsome Devil's graveyard as I do not have the valid papers? ]

Well Hello Mary Jo, Goodbye Heart
Senator Edward Kennedy is about to retire,
He has a book deal lined up eight million dollars.
He was one of three brothers,
-who stayed alive,
-politically and literally,
Both John and Bobby met their fate,
By the end of a gun,
Sirhan Sirhan,
And Oswald,
They were blamed for the actions,
-but there is someone,
By her death,
-had assassinated Edward’s potential presidential bid,
Mary Jo Kopechne died when the vehicle driven by Edward Kennedy,
Overturned off a bridge in Chappaquiddick.
She drowned, but it ten hours for Edward called the police,
Far from the 18 ½ minutes that were gone from the Nixon Watergate Tapes,
That later had the president resigned of the USA.
He had move his pieces on board,
get his ducks in line,
pay whoever,
He had to come up with type of lie to his wife,
Lie, Lie, the Kennedy’s you say?
NEVER! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Joe Kennedy, the patriarch of the clan,
-made a part his fortune as a “drug runner”,
The drug was alcohol but it was banned by prohibition,
That same drug was to be the downfall for would be President Edward Kennedy,
Joe Kennedy worked the mob;
-the union worked the mob in Chicago,
Chicago brought his son John to the White House,
John was assassinated almost mid-term,
Robert, ran for the office in 1968,
However, Sirhan cut his life short;
Sirhan had mob connections, no way! (? ?)
The mob wanted Bobby dead, because after all he sought them out with vengeance,
Surely Jack and Bobby were dead by no chance.
So was Marilyn Monroe,
- Frank Sinatra kept quiet,
and Peter Lawford kept quiet.
But Mary Jo crushed Eddie’s chance for the White House,
The mob did not have to get him.
Will this same story be told within Edward Kennedy’s memoirs?
I think not,
I predict that Edward will give the readers a different spin,
Because Edward will lie again, and again, and again, .....

Beware of a Wolf in Sheep's clothing?
'Yes, my honoured Sir!
You're very handsome these days?
And you asked my name,
Age & date of birth,
Permanent address,
Race, Religion and parent's name
Political opinion, my pedigree
Where I was in the past 10 years?
You missed a vital question Sir!
'Did you have your meals? '
I submit everything in black & white
Honestly, but tell you frankly this
I have no papers, the relevant documents
And no franchise for me?
Still an Alien from another planet.
I watch you in the Television
after your professional hairdressing & manicure for the role,
And I promise you to say 'Hurray' loudly
with my rickety both hands lifting up
As an obedient servant,
If you win Sir! ? '

Hitch-hike
The dumb lass, she sang a song at least of the journey from her teary eyes before the vagabond stepped out.
Hitherto he couldn't get a lift as all are going somewhere else and not along the heaven road.
Accidentally a historian stopped and picked him up for the way back towards Babylon where she still sings alone.
The following character haunts me these days;
*Francis Phelan in William Kennedy's novel 'Ironweed', Ex-ballplayer, part-time gravedigger, full-time drunk, has hit bottom.

The Day John Kennedy Died
I dreamed I was the president of these united states
I dreamed I replaced ignorance, stupidity and hate
I dreamed the perfect union and a perfect law, undenied
And most of all I dreamed I forgot the day john kennedy died
I dreamed that I could do the job that others hadnt done
I dreamed that I was uncorrupt and fair to everyone
I dreamed I wasnt gross or base, a criminal on the take
And most of all I dreamed I forgot the day john kennedy died
Oh, the day john kennedy died
Oh, the day john kennedy died
I remember where I was that day, I was upstate in a bar
The team from the university was playing football on tv
Then the screen want dead and the announcer said,
Theres been a tragedy
Theres are unconfirmed reports the presidents been shot
And he may be dead or dying.
Talking stopped, someone shouted, what!?
I ran out to the street
People were gathered everywhere saying,
Did you hear what they said on tv
And then a guy in a porsche with his radio hit his born
And told us the news
He said, the presidents dead, he was shot twice in the head
In dallas, and they dont know by whom.
I dreamed I was the president of these united states
I dreamed I was young and smart and it was not a waste
I dreamed that there was a point to life and to the human race
I dreamed that I could somehow comprehend that someone
Shot him in the face
Oh, the day john kennedy died
Oh, the day john kennedy died
Oh, the day john kennedy died
Oh, the day john kennedy died

What is objectionable, what is dangerous, about extremists is not that they are extreme, but that they are intolerant. The evil is not what they say about their cause, but what they say about their opponents.

Fortunately, President Kennedy and Robert Kennedy disagreed with the estimate and chose a course of action less ambitious and aggressive than recommended by their advisers.
A Tenant in the Obscure house
He has a morbid fear of crowds and the doctors diagnosed the sickness as ' Ochlophobia'.
In the day time he locks himself inside and he goes out in the middle of the night.
He invites his best friend the handsome death for a chat
Where he lives nearby the cemetery,
But the death says ' it's too early my dear and also your ticket is not valid yet for the departure,
Please be calm and stay comfortably and I'll knock at your door
When the express train stops at the station of Goodbye.'

The Lowering
The flag is folded
lengthwise, and lengthwise again,
folding toward the open edge,
so that the union of stars on the blue
field remains outward in full view;
a triangular folding is then begun
at the striped end,
by bringing the corner of the folded edge
to the open edge;
the outer point, turned inward along the open edge,
forms the next triangular fold:
the folding continued so, until the end is reached,
the final corner tucked between
the folds of the blue union,
the form of the folded flag is found to resemble that
of a 3-cornered pouch, or thick cocked hat.
Take this flag, John Glenn, instead of a friend;
instead of a brother, Edward Kennedy, take this flag;
instead of a father, Joe Kennedy, take this flag;
this flag instead of a husband, Ethel Kennedy, take this flag;
this 9-times-folded red-white-striped, star-spotted-blue flag,
tucked and pocketed neatly,
Nation, instead of a leader, take this folded flag.
Robert Kennedy, coffin without coverlet,
beside this hole in the grass,
beside your brother, John Kennedy,
in the grass,
take, instead of a country,
this folded flag;
Robert Kennedy, take this
hole in the grass.

At last the love utters with a lisp?
In between the sky & Earth
He's born to a well to do family.
Getting his Master's degree
Chosen a bride from a shinning pedigree?
Beginning really a happy-go-lucky!
And changed into a misery.
Sweet words and melodies
Like darling, honeycomb & sweetheart
All disappeared in a while
Rat, Cat & idiot
Donkey, Monkey and go to hell...................continues
Day by day life goes thinner
As a piece of paper
Chest pains,
Heart attacks!
But rescued.
Then collapsed from the staircase
Ultimately the Graduate was paralyzed?
Oozing! Wet stockings
Loathsome and he dies in sleep
And the burial was a grand event with music!
But no address to be found hereafter?
to my poet friends Pranab Chakraborty, Premji Premji, Raj Nandy & rest of all.........................................!
[Consider that this day never dawns again.]

Robbed a toothpaste tube

A Swimmer Named Kennedy
When someone is a person of questionable integrity
and they have committed dubious acts in their past
many years of civil service to society and then they suddenly are befallen
with a fatal disease; (other than Liberalism….which is only a mental disorder)
why is it then that we always proceed to elevate
these immoral people to a higher level of respectability?
With no marginal reason ever given for their existence….
In memory of Mary Jo Kopechne (July 26,1940 – July 18,1969)
Who was left by United States Senator Ted Kennedy to drown in his car
after he drove it off of a bridge and into the water below; while intoxicated after a party. Senator Kennedy was married at the time of the accident and did not report the accident until much later that morning.
Senator Kennedy has never to this day claimed any responsibility for his actions.
Senator Kennedy has been recently diagnosed with brain cancer, and that is tragic,
but it doesn’t change his questionable character.

Eucalyptus
A tree grows in Australia and I heard the leaves that yield strong smelling oil.
My poet friend Jerry.Hughes lives there like a huge tree.
I have a message for you my dear friend.
My wife was informed me two days ago
Our eldest daughter & the family will migrate to Australia soon
For better prospects and they were given a promise
To drag us to the city of Melbourne once they touched the soil.
I wrote to my wife' Hey! My darling pain killer
If it's not a dream at least we can rest in peace in an aboriginal's graveyard as 'True Lovers' under the Eucalyptus tree.

Compound Kid
The cute young woman in her Honda
Does not think of her gated community
As a compound, a.k.a. ‘the Kennedy compound’
I can not read her mind
But this real estate has a powerful message
“I am not united to you. Your problems are not mine.
Here I am secure from who you are.”
Great bars of moving iron seal my isolation from yours,
Enforce the tyranny of the sensate as a lie.
