Storm behind the silence!

[Go oft to the house of thy friend, for weeds choke the unused path.]-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Seated roadside
on the pavement
but not a meditation?
No lip movements
and a silent song.
Tin-till stands for alms?
Bony fingers play the mandolin
a melancholy tune.
Coloured vehicles stop
to the red signal light
and move fast
when green winks.
Pedestrians too busy with their
daily activities?
Beautiful beggarmaid
like a sculpture!
Leave the sorrowful music aside
But at least to your unique beauty
why they do not stop for a while and
say hello sister!

*For Carol with a tear dropp in my paining heart O we missed you!

Traffic Lights

Who invented these beautiful colors?
Red, Amber and Green.
And I watch how they stop when Red appears?
When Amber winks they are very uneasy
And they fly in the Green light sign like a journey to heaven.
Night is still young and I count my weekend wage
Thinking of my loved ones.
They are very far away.
When the Green smiles with me to take my soul away from all these burdens?

Stop Stoip Stop

The Hollies
Stop, Stop, Stop
(Alan Clarke/Tony Hicks/Graham Nash)
Track 1 on album 'For Certain Because' (December 1966)
See the girl with cymbals on her fingers
Entering through the door
Ruby glistening from her navel
Shimmering around the floor
Bells on feet go ting-a-ling-a-linging
Going through my head
Sweat is falling just a-like-a tear drops
Running from her head
Now she dancing, going through the movements
Swaying to and fro
Body moving, bringing back a memory
Thoughts of long ago
Blood is rushing, temperature is rising
Sweating from my brow
Like a snake, her body fascinates me
I can't look away now
{Refrain:}
Stop, stop, stop all the dancing
Give me time to breathe
Stop, stop, stop all the dancing
Or I'll have to leave
Now she's moving all around the tables
Luring all in sight
But I know that she cannot see me
Hidden by the light
Closer, closer she is getting nearer
Soon she'll be in reach
As I enter into a spotlight
She stands lost for speech
{Refrain, mandolin solo by Graham Nash, refrain}
Now I hold her, people are staring
Don't know what to think
And we struggle, knocking over tables
Spilling all the drinks
Can't they understand that I want her
Happens every week
Heavy hand upon my collar
Throws me in the street
{Refrain, mandolin solo fades out}

An odor from cut grass

Among the withered grass
Poor Grasshopper struggles to fly
But the Lawnmower has borrowed
Her tiny wings without her willingness!
And I whisper to her of the catalepsy;
'Dear Hopper I too jumped so many hurdles in the past
But these feeble bony fingers won't grip
Even an ant now and how could I help you?
I feel your nagging pain and see the deep wound
We both are in the same capsized boat.
Your helpless chirp and my melancholy song
Never reach above and even though they hear
They do not like that friendly bargain.
Are you going to stop, please don't?
And we continue our fight
Until our fragile heart
Changes its usual beat! '

Fiancee

Pass me the boat of kindness
which is laying at your heart alongside.
I want to sail to the Love country
crossing the ocean of jealousy
throw your eyes to the sky
as I have lost my way.
sing the dumb song sorrowful
which is sinking
my eyes are paining
and I feel that I am going to be blind
as I did not sleep for the last two thousand five hundred years.
I need a permanent sleep.
sing the dumb song sorrowful
which is sinking.

Hey! How tactful your singsong Detective?

Hey! How tactful your singsong Detective?
When you hum a love song at home
Look around and be careful,
If it's a new song,
Your beloved must be so inquisitive?
and she may sniffs any rare fragrance
comes out from your body.
She search your whereabouts
Peeps into your well creased trouser pockets
and your day to day activities.
Any changes in your lifestyle
and in your sound sleep
She tries to explore your sweet dreams.
Not only that she jumps to your rickety rib cage
and counts your fast heart beat too?

to my beloved in gratitude!

Miles Away

Where Im looking everything seems clear.
Not a worry as I float up here. press me to explain?
Searching deep down for the answer.
I see the world in a different light, busy changing,
Rearranging. Ill be missing
For a while, Ive got a few things on my mind.
Please leave me alone on this day.
Im in conversation miles away.
Please leave me alone this afternoon,
Im in meditation high above.
Fields of green and deep blue skies above.
Ill share with you a place Im thinking of.
Play in the sunshine,
Sing my favorite song again and again.
I see the world in a different light, busy changing,
Rearranging. Ill be missing
For a while, Ive got a few things on my mind.
Please leave me alone on this day.
Im in conversation miles away.
Please leave me alone this afternoon,
Im in meditation high up.
I see the world in a different light, busy changing,
Rearranging. Ill be missing
For a while, Ive got a few things on my mind.
Please leave me alone on this day.
Im in conversation miles away.
Please leave me alone this afternoon,
Im in meditation high above.

O ... The Girl With The ' Veenaı '!

O my darling!
Take in your hands this beautiful Veenai.
Upon the delicate strings of the divine Veenai
Ride soft your tender fingers!
O.. what a melodious strain it is!
My lids of themselves do slowly close..
My flesh and bones all slowly soften
In the divine waves your Veenai outspreads..
My mind in the sweet melody of music-
No, .no..in the cruel pain of that Supreme Joy-
Suffers much and wriggles like a snake..
Lo..! how short of words I am my feelings to express!
Alas! I know not of their kind too..
And your Veenai's voice chokes my heart...
My chest is full of pain..
My soul melts in music..
O my beloved!
What song do you play? .
Tell me dear..
To what tune have you set it?
Nothing strikes my brain..
So shallow is my knowledge of this art..
The limitless drinking of this wine of music
Intoxicates me.
I am sober and very weak..
My mind in sheer madness dances today..
Dancing it chases the delightful strain
While the music skilfully manoeuvres
All the curves and bends on its way!
The ups and downs it ascends and skids.
But so helpless is my mind
To follow close your music's heels-
It tumbles down often in its path.
Dispirited not, it picks up soon
And trudges along with the panting chest..
My darling!
Tie me fast to the hem of music from your Veenai..
Let your melody drag me along
To every world it gleefully visits
To every ridge as it ascends
Into all mystic depths it slips and rolls over
Over every wave it gladly rides
Through the skies as it gracefully glides
In every brook as it swims in glee
And as it leaps in mirth with the silvery falls..
Like the silken flag atop the tall mast
That dances gracefully in perfect rhythm
To the delightful music of the sportive winds
Let my soul dance in the madness of joy!
As a kite that plays with the rushing winds
Let my mind swim in your music divine
Till it swoons and floats high up
Never to visit the woeful world again!
O.. my dear! Stop not your Veenai's music..
My heart to pieces would go The moment you stop
Let those fingers, very tender and soft -
Dance ever upon these delicate strings.
Let it be endless!
Be it sleepless! Be it restless!
Be it deathless! Be it spotless!
Pluck them hard..
Twang them soft.Twang them lazily..
Upon them run hard and fast!
Crawl soft and slow!
Between the extremes of the strings
Perform your jugglery.
Play your acrobatics!
Thousand wonders in a trice you perform.
Toss my mind hither and thither
Over and beneath those singing strings!
Let your tune quicken its pace..
Let it whirl me in its swirls..
My mind should cry unashamedly in that pain.
Let your music roar like a forest tempest.
Let it rend like the streaks of lightning
And roll like the speech and the claps of the thunder..
If not, O life of my lives..!
Let your song flow smooth and slow
Or toddle like the vernal breeze
Or let it flow with silent ripples
And crawl and slide on its path.
O...that music divine
That makes me jubilant one moment..
Depressed in the next,
Happiest one instant.. sorrowful next
Lifting me aloft to dash me down
Embracing me close to kick me hard!
O.. stop not..!
Part not your fingers from strings.
Slash not my wings that delight in the heavens!
O.. my dear, rest not your fingers.
Those fingers that makes the Veenai
So sweetly to speak...so sweetly to speak!
Let my soul soften, melt and dissolve
In the wine of of bliss
To its ultimate union with the UNNAMED..
Till then rest not thy finger, my darling!

The trembling withered leaves in an Autumn Eve

The powerless green leaves already decayed
And the strong unsolicited aloof wind takes them away without their consent.
There is no any other option; unless the skeletal trees have to keep quiet against the mysterious unending force of nature.

Recorded in 1978 as a b-side to the single here am i,my personal favourite rca song! - best ad libbing Ive ever heard. also, two recordings of this song exist. lyrics taken from careful listening.
Take me out of the mood Im in
I dont care what you do
Im just glad that the one Im with is you
Ooh, I dont know what I wanna say
Only know how I feel
Tomorrows more than a mile away from here
Oh, dont stop the music
I need it to dance
Dont stop the music, not now
No, no, no, no
Dont stop the music
I need some romance
Dont stop the music, not now
Ad libs...
Oh, I dont know where Im going to
I dont know that I care
Its one of those nights
When the music takes me there
Ooh, take me out of the mood Im in
Dance me out of my mind
Its one of those nights
That I just cant leave behind
Oh, dont stop the music
I need it to dance
Dont stop the music, not now
No, no, no, no
Dont stop the music
I need some romance
Dont stop the music, not now
Ad libs...
Dont stop the music
I need it to dance
Dont stop the music, not now
Dont stop the music
I need it to dance
Dont stop, not now
Dont stop, dont stop
I need it to dance
Dont stop, dont stop, not now
Dont stop the music
I need it to dance
Not now...

A man stands alone

A gloomy evening at the bus stop
He saw his best friend’s wife was seated in the bus
And he just waved but could not get in.
The last bus came
And he saw his best friend
After a long time,
Who was going home?
He promised him to meet on a Sunday
And he confessed to himself
Thinking of his friend’s wife.
His tears joined the drizzle
Which has turned to heavy rains?
And he drowned in the flood water.

Quietude

His music teacher complains with a cello in hand
'I cannot hear your song though you move your lips.'
Nobody understands my song
And it's a song without words.
Like a somber sky.' He whispers.

To my dear friend Jerry Hughes for his 79th birthday falls today.
Night is still young my friend and we sing together the old song that we are friends.

In good days and bad days!

While resting in the prison of life
You strum your sensitive heart strings
That play the tune of innocence!
And you light a half burnt candle
on the altar, place a tiny fragrant flower
Kneel and pray, request benefits
A solace for the wound
That never heals?
In good times and bad times
You sing that short song
For a long life?

[Choose a job you love, and you'll never have to work a day in your life.]
