Mannequin and a pauper
This nonchalant beggar who loves a model queen
in a showcase.
When his till is full of coins
he just heads for an isolated pub
drinks a little and have a scanty meal of junk food.
In the night he backs to his ramshackle bed on the pavement
and makes a sound sleep.
They never talk each other and only in dreams
they wander hand-in-hand in no-go area; the 'paradise.'

When a cat Loves You!
When a cat loves you it will: nip at your hand,
(it thinks you are food, next meal man.)
When a cat loves you it will: bring you mice,
(it is trying to fatten you up, ain't that nice?)
When a cat loves you it will: sleep in your face,
(It's thinking the end of the human race.)
When a cat loves you it will: run between your feet,
(hoping to trip you and be more tender to eat.)
Now don't get me wrong not all cat's are this way,
I have a cat who loves me no matter what I say.
But I really have a confession to make, right now,
I really LOVE cats sharing my kung pau.

Junk Food Junkie
Johnny's got an addiction
He's strung out without conviction
He was raised with a microwave
Sticky trashy fast food slave
He's a junk food junky
He could be a lot more spunky hunky
But he's a junk food junky
Blame it on the food yeah, you know it's bad
Mother doesn't really know
Shopping in a glossy show
Then again her budget's low
Her health so bad it makes her slow
She's a junk food junky
She's stressed and very jumpy
She's a junk food junky
Blame it on the food yeah, we know its bad
Blame it on the food yeah, we know it's bad
Jenny's in a fix
With her arithmetics
Poor concentration
Boys in the classroom cause agitation
She's a junk food junky
She could be a lot more fun
But she's a junk food junky
Blame it on the food yeah
Blame it on the food yeah
Blame it on the food yeah
You know it's bad
You know it's bad

Ramshackle Man
My clothes dont fit and I have no point of view
I got a bad reputation but I dont believe its true
I had something going but I blew it down the can
Not exactly what I planned
Im a ramshackle man
Thats what I am
I look like a joker but I feel like a one eyed jack
Shuffling around never get to the top of the park
I said to the dealer put the ace in my hand
But he couldnt give a damn
Im a ramshackle man
Thats what I am
I sit down thinking bout the things I have to do
I start out fine then I pick up something new
Stumbled through the door thats how it all began
Now its buried in the sand
Im a ramshackle man
Thats what I am
The stars shine bright when the boys come out to play
Never feeling more than Im feeling right here today
I used to be fresh but now Im second hand
I do what I can
Im a ramshackle man
Thats what I am

Pimpers Paradise
She love to party, have a good time;
She looks so hearty, feeling fine;
She loves to smoke, sometime shiftin coke;
Shell be laughin when there aint no joke.
A pimpers paradise: thats all she was now;
A pimpers paradise: thats all she was;
A pimpers paradise: thats all she was now;
Pimpers paradise: thats all she was.
(every need got an ego to feed;
Every need got an ego to feed.)
She loves to model up in the latest fashion (oo-bee doo-be doo);
Shes in the scramble and she moves with passion (oo-bee doo-be doo),
Shes getting high, trying to fly the sky (oo-bee doo-be doo)!
Eh! now she is bluesing when there aint no blues.
Wo-o-o-oh! a pimpers paradise: thats all she was now;
A pimpers paradise: thats all she was, oh-ho-ho-ho-ho!
A pimpers paradise: thats all she was now;
A pimpers paradise: thats all she was.
(every need got an ego to feed;
Every need got an ego to feed.)
Wo-ho-o-oh! a pimpers paradise: thats all she was now, wo-oo-o-oo! wo-oh!
A pimpers paradise: thats all she was. we-e-e-ell-a!
A pimpers paradise: Im sorry for the victim now;
Oh, now soon their (pimpers paradise) - soon their heads - soon their -
Soon their very heads will bow.
(pimpers paradise) dont lose track - dont lose track of yourself, oh no!
(pimpers paradise) dont be just a stock - a stock on the shelf -
Stock on the shelf, oh-oh!
(pimpers paradise) thats all she was now. wo-oo-o-oo-o-oo ... -

My Mom Sets the Table
Night after night my mom sets the table
full of joy she passes her hand over the green fleat
like dishes she lays her chips down
they her finest china carefully stacked
her drink is the insurance bet
night after night 21 meals are servered
6 people share the meal with her
we her family eat alone
yet night after night my mom sets the table
the table of broken dreams and poisoned meals
night after night she countinues to eat
untill is consumed
Night after night my mom sets the table
night after night we her family shallow the bitter meal she makes
Night after night my mom sets the table.....

Running To Paradise
As I came over Windy Gap
They threw a halfpenny into my cap.
For I am running to paradise;
And all that I need do is to wish
And somebody puts his hand in the dish
To throw me a bit of salted fish:
And there the king is but as the beggar.
My brother Mourteen is worn out
With skelping his big brawling lout,
And I am running to paradise;
A poor life, do what he can,
And though he keep a dog and a gun,
A serving-maid and a serving-man:
And there the king is but as the beggar.
Poor men have grown to be rich men,
And rich men grown to be poor again,
And I am running to paradise;
And many a darling wit's grown dull
That tossed a bare heel when at school,
Now it has filled a old sock full:
And there the king is but as the beggar.
The wind is old and still at play
While I must hurty upon my way.
For I am running to paradise;
Yet never have I lit on a friend
To take my fancy like the wind
That nobody can buy or bind:
And there the king is but as the beggar.

Fear not, you beggar-man
Fear not, you beggar-man!
When thou scorch’d by the Sun,
Which tanned thy head and skin;
No food or drink, grow thin!
Trudging the streets and lanes;
Seldom a person sane,
You meet; begging for alms
Or for coins in your palm.
On the pavement, you sleep;
Rain, no mercy doth keep;
Half-asleep, the night is gone;
Still drenched, Dawn has come on!
With loin-cloth and a bowl,
Beg you with odour foul;
With bent back, weary walk;
A sick look, none to talk!
You walk for miles and miles;
Emotionless but smiles!
With not enough good food;
On meandering roads.
In fast changing seasons,
Without any reasons,
With feet very fissured;
Uncomplaining, you walk!
No joy, hope or sadness,
In a world of madness;
Unfortunately, born;
Your days linger on.
Perhaps, within your heart,
To God, you must have asked;
“Why am I born like this,
with a wretched, unfair kiss? ”

Your king is your slave.
Woman, get the hand of a man,
Who will make you a woman.
Woman, get the hand of a man,
Who alone makes you a woman.
Woman, get the hand of a man
Who you think makes you alright.
When you get the hand of a man
Don’t think that you are conquered.
When you get the hand of a man,
Don’t think that you are his prey.
When you get the hand of a man,
Remember he will be your slave.
You’re the queen, he not the king.
Slaves only can make you happy.
Be a queen bee of the comb.

Elizabeth
I am not telling anything about the Queen,
Her name also Elizabeth but her Palace
Somewhere else, in front of an old Railway station.
She cannot sleep well because of the express trains
But some nights she dreams the Commonwealth it seems.
One night after a couple of drinks I searched some notes in my wallet
But they were disappeared secretly and I gave her some coins.
She said; 'Thank you Mr.Edinborough you know my mother's a seamstress to a bygone Queen and she gave this beautiful name.'
I didn't correct my name and I said; ' Yes, Mrs.Elizabeth I 'll convey the message when I go to the Palace for music lessons.'
*I dedicate this to the old senile woman who slept on the road that stuck in my memory and torments me all the time!

Paradise the planets of bliss
Paradise is the planets of bliss
The home of God’s Body
The garden of Beauty
It is full of good flora and fauna
And made of gold, silver and precious other things
There are fountains and streams in paradise
They are also signs of God’s superb workmanship
There is morning, noontime and evening in paradise
But there is no night
At noontime it is full of silver light
In the morning and in the evening
Tints of various colors are visible in its sky
In paradise
The evenings are more colorful than the mornings
And the mornings are more refreshing than the evenings
The residential area of the poor people of paradise is near its gates
The middle class people live in the middle area of paradise
The high-class people live at the end of paradise.
There is currency in paradise and many market places
To buy things of one's choice
Where all salespersons are angels
The residential area of the prophets and the like
Is at the end of Ferdous paradise
Wherefrom God’s main court
Laohay Mahfuz and Sidratul Muntaha are nearby.

The Things I've Lost
in the things i've lost i found god....
not in the things themselves,
but in the empty spaces left behind!
in moments given and forgotten,
in laughter that never took a name.
in the sound of breathing that is peaceful sleep,
in the tiny light of a single flame.
in random snowflakes that need not redemption,
in callouses that become the hand.
in stories shared with small children,
in the sky seen through a prison window.
in the dog curled against my feet,
in a meal shared with strangers.
in the beautiful eyes of the dying child,
in the touch of the old woman's hand.
in the sound of wings saying farewell to autumn,
in the crunch of frost covered grass.
in the anger of my enemy,
when we both sat down to talk.
in the stories old boots could tell,
and the dreams that eyes reveal.
in the hand in mine and the feet beside,
in the 'thank you' whispered over the grave.
in the silent conversation of old friends,
in the rose that bloomed out of season.
in the sacredness that stinks,
of human endeavor and holy compassion!

Hand-Me-Down!
got my hand-me-down boots,
and my hand-me-down jeans.
my broke down hand-me-down hat,
doing hand-me-down things.
my hand-me-down fire,
and my hand-me-down pot.
take a hand-me-down chair,
i'll share what i've got.
got some hand-me-down thoughts,
a couple of hand-me-down songs.
i've got a hand-me-down heart
that wont leave you alone.
we'll talk about hand-me-down freedom,
and hand-me-down truth....
in this hand-me-down world,
it's just me and you!
in this hand-me-down world....
paying hand-me-down dues!

Appetite
It is appetizing, the meal is appetizing,
I consumed a mighty warrior of steel.
My concession was plain, just give me food
So I give you a meal, food for two now.
The concert repeats, I laugh and cry forever,
But still I smile and giggle with dizziness.
The groups of people look like apes with food,
The two of us are fed, what of the rest of us?
My appetite is satisfied, but your meal surrounds
And loves me, like two of us in the middle of feeding.

Sleep No Man Desires
There is a sleep no man desires
There is something about that sleep
That sends fear down the hearts of men
That world unknown yet revered by fear
That surrounds a man when he goes to sleep
It is the sleep of the tired women
It is the sleep of the defeated elands
It is the sleep that makes the hyenas laugh
It is the sleep that feeds the vultures
It is the sleep that no man loves
But is the eventual sleep for all that breaths
It is the sleep of paradise
A paradise so desired for good deeds on earth
Yet it is the sleep that hounds the aged and the poor
A sleep that embraces the dying
A sleep that knows no class
It is the silent sleep on angels' chariots
Take a pillow and courage to slip into it
Courage, be brave and face that sleep
That sleep that frightens the mighty
That sleep that is wild on eart
That sleep that has no path
That is hated and more than loathed
A sleep that captured great men of history
It is the sleep of the GONE.

The World Has Changed
The world has changed
Because you left it
I feel your presence
But where are you now?
I know that you are alive
Memories do not descend to the grave
I touch a flower and touch your soul
I talk to you
And you return at dreamtimes.
You are in heaven now
You are in paradise
But where is paradise
My angel, my darling?
Some say the Garden of Eden
Was an island in ancient seas
In Bahrain or Babylon
Others say
Paradise is an inner chamber
On a magic astral plane
On rainbow wings of love.
In enchanted castles of the soul
Flames in every corner
The love of beloved soars
Along corridors it flies elated
The rhapsody of spheres.
And when night falls
In gentle harmony
The golden door of dreams opens
And we walk together again
Hand in hand.

Amsterdam
This song was first released on the take me to tomorrow album. it is the only album it has been released on.
Of the dreams that he brings from the wide open sea
In the port of amsterdam theres a sailor who sleeps
While the river bank sweeps to the old willow tree
In the port of amsterdam theres a sailor who dies
Full of beer, full of cries in a drunkin down fight
But in the port of amsterdam theres a sailor whos bom
On a muggy, hot mom by the dawns early light
In the port of amsterdam where the sailors all meet
Theres a sailor who eats only fish heads and tails
He will show you his teeth that have rotted too soon
That can swallow the moon that can haul up the I sails
And he asks to the cook with his amms open wide
Bring me more fish, put it down by my side
And he wants so to belch, but hes too full to try
So he gets up and he laughs, and he zips up his fty
In the port of amsterdam you can see sailors dance
Haunches bursting their pants, binding women to paunch
Theyve forgotten the tune that their whiskey voice croaks
And their splitting the night with the roar of their jokes
And they tum and they dance and they laugh and they lust
To the rats it sounds of the accordion burst
Then hes out into the night with their pride in their pants
With a slut that they tow undemeath the street lamps
In the port of amsterdam theres a sailor who drinks
And he drinks, and he drinks, and he drinks once again
He drinks to the health of the whores of amsterdam
Who have promised their love to a thousand other men
And they darken their bodies, and their virtue long gone
For a few dirty coins
And then when he cant go on
He plants his nose in the sky
And he wipes it up above
And he spits like to cry for an unfaithful love
In the port of amsterdam, in the port of amsterdam
In the port of amsterdam

Hey brother, why do you want me to talk?
Hey brother, why do you want me to talk?
Talk and talk and the real things get lost.
Talk and talk and things get out of hand.
Why not stop talking and think?
If you meet someone good, listen a little, speak;
If you meet someone bad, clench up like a fist.
Talking with a wise man is a great reward.
Talking with a fool? A waste.
Kabir says: A pot makes noise if it's half full,
But fill it to the brim - no sound.
King Of Dreams
It doesnt matter if Im right or wrong
It really doesnt mean a thing
It doesnt matter if you like my song
As long as you can hear me sing
cause Im the thorn in every little girls rose
You know I cut but never bleed
A shadow in the night, pure delight
I can satisfy your every need
Im a real smooth dancer, Im fantasy man
Master of illusion, magic touch in my hand
All the stages are empty when I steal the scenes
A beggar of love, second hand hero...king of dreams
Dont make a difference what you got
It doesnt matter what you lose
Dont make a difference if you like it or not
Baby Im gonna change your attitude
cause all around me there is mystery and wonder
Now cant you see it in my eyes
Ill crack the sky, make you feel the thunder
Youll never see through my disguise
Im a real smooth dancer, Im fantasy man
Master of illusion, with my sleight of hand
All the stages are empty when I steal the scenes
A beggar for love, second hand hero... king of dreams
All around, all around
Emotional squeeze through again and again
I know how to please you, your mind is on the bend
Cant you feel the power, surrender in my arms
Beyond the witching hour were travelling on and on
Im a real smooth dancer, Im fantasy man
Master of illusion, magic touch in my hand
The stages are empty when I steal the scenes
A beggar of love, second hand hero... king of dreams
Im a real smooth dancer, fantasy man
Master of illusion, sleight of hand
The stages are empty when I steal the scenes
A beggar for love... king of dreams
