An aged Woman poses in front of a shattered mirror?
The rusty pincers she holds
With shivering fingers
And she plucks her grey hair
Here & there
She noticed in the eye brows too
few appears?
Dark rings below the eyes
And wrinkles on her forehead.
She smiles with the mirror
And mutters; 'No change at all the secret smile
But what happened to my youthful Elasticity? '
She realized for the first time in her life
That mirrors too speak sometimes?
'Madam! I am there with you
even in your fleeing beauty? '
*[God made woman from man's rib-not from his head to top him, nor from his feet to be walked upon, but from his side to be his partner in life, from under his arm to be protected by him, and near his heart to be loved by him.]

Wrinkles and Grey Hair (Children)
Mommy's getting wrinkles.
Daddy has grey hair.
It wasn't very long ago
when those things weren't there.
Wish I could smooth the wrinkles out
and darken Daddy's hair
to stop the changes going on.
It makes me feel so scared.
Grampa, does it mean they'll die?
They have wrinkles and grey hair!
I never used to worry
before those things were there.
Grampa said to look at him.
There were lots of wrinkles there,
and on his head, a snowstorm
was the color of his hair.
'Wrinkles only come to point
where smiles were, here and there.
It's your mommy's turn to get some
for the happy times you've shared.'
His white, and Daddy's grey hair
well, it was there to show
who had lived the longest time
so everyone could know!
Grampa said it's part of life.
We love, we learn, we live.
We earn grey hair and wrinkles,
they're prizes only God can give.
Enemies were there in his dream too?
All his grey hair
Turned into a Golden spiral
At the barber shop in Heaven
And he watched in the mirror
Myriads of Barbers
Behind him
With sharp razors?
to all my friends!

My Mirrors Past
I look into the mirror
and stare at this face.
Life has gotten dearer.
Time has left its trace.
What happened to the innocence?
Where is that youthful glow?
This isn't the mirror I saw myself in
So many years ago.
Innocence became reality.
Youth gave way to mature
Now I wish I had the mirror
I looked into before.
Mirrors show an image
We may not want to see.
The way we are today.
How we used to be.
Remember while you're looking.
The reflection doesn't last.
Just think of how it was
When you looked In Mirrors Past.

Chaperone
The old piano plays
John Strauss II's waltz
'The Blue Danube'
Under the dim chandelier lights
She dances alone an unmarried woman
Behind her a Charlatan struggles
to win her heart and breaks her innocence,
But the Chaperone, she looks after her well
And nobody could approach her
on this occasion!
I watch the Chaperone's
deep blue teary eyes like ripples
And I imagine her beautiful younger days?
Her secret smile utters
We both are passing the sad sixties
Isn't it?
It's really funny this old man peeps
into the dancing hall in his sugary dream
and the sepia glossy photograph fades away
at the dark room in the morning?

A Slogan
The Sun, Moon, Stars and Planets
all were abandoning in the Milky Way.
So, do not let them solve your destiny.
The God who hides in your heart is better than the God
who remains in picture frames?
When you stand in front of a mirror
you can see your god.
when you smile; he too smiles.
When you cry; he too cries.
Life is not a 'once upon a time' story
which has an ending?

Tears of a Mirror
As I peep into the Mirror.
I realized that I am getting older.
I stopped looking and keep away a long time.
This acute tooth ache brings me to the Mirror again to see the cavity.
Then I found moisture.
Alas! Mirror is nagging.
'You keep company always but your sudden change is a surprise to me.
You see in me your old face only.
But I can see your young soul clearly'

Life inquires?
'How is your life? '
'You know better than me.'
I replied.
For the first time
I saw life cries;
And heavy rains from the sky?
A little lull
For the first time
I saw Earth smiles
After a severe drought?

Going Grey
I woke up late this morning
And looked into the mirror
But the woman looking back at me
Had a grey streak in her hair
Where did this grey streak come from?
It wasn’t there last night
How did it get into my hair?
My god I looked a sight
I washed and I washed my hair 3 times
And washed my hair some more
But the grey it would not come out
And I was getting stressed for sure
I grabbed the phone to ring my friend
And said get your arse round here
I have a big problem that you need to fix
And bring all your hairdressing gear
Half an hour seemed like a life time
Before my friend was here
She said what’s all the fuss about
I sobbed and wept oh dear
I removed the towel from round my head
Well I didn’t want anyone to see
Look I’ve got greyness in my hair
And I’m only thirty three
She sat me down to have a look
And said don’t worry dear
We can soon cover all that up
With hair dye, so don’t fear
She put this dye upon my head
And then made me a brew
He had to wait for ages
Until the colour did come threw
So now I feel much better
And don’t need to get irate
I don’t have any grey streaks now
And my hair looks really great

My Idea of beauty
Beauty is the sensation of your heart skipping a beat,
when eyes full of mischief glance at you...
Beauty is the smile which appears on your lips, when you think of the way he smiles at you...
Beauty is in the heart which touches another
Beauty is tender hands holding each other
Beauty is strong arms holding you warm
Beauty is in water, beauty is in weather,
beauty is in air, beauty is in life
Beauty is in love, beauty is in wind...
Beauty surrounds you days and nights
yet no one knows beauty's heights...

Mocking freedom in cagey avenues?
[Time is a dressmaker specializing in alterations.]-Faith Baldwin
Fallen leaves of Autumn
Covered the old nursery road
and I pick them one by one
into my pushcart!
Nursery was closed for vacation
A squirrel rested on a bench
and the swings were chained?
It's really hard for me to climb
The Post-office hill
with this nagging sciatica pain?
But I have to send this letter
to my faraway unseen friend.
Rusty coins not sufficient
for the postage it seemed
and do they accept my letter
without a stamp?
Anyway I remember the few lines
of my new poem in the letter
and I murmured to myself
on my way back;
'I saw my bald head
in the shattered mirror
and I threw the toothless comb
into the nearby muddy river.'
To my deceased loving Mother!
(Still through your far seeing eyes I see the puzzling life Mom.)

Mirror Mirror
Mirror mirror
You tell lies
Who put crows feet
Round my eyes?
Mirror mirror
Hanging there
Who put that grey
In my hair?
Mirror mirror
Is that me
Is that really
Me I see?
Mirror Mirror
Stop your fun
That's not me
That is my mum
Mirror mirror
Don't stare back
For it's bad luck
If you should crack
Mirror mirror
On days like these
When what I see
Doesn't please
Mirror mirror
My mood this day
Will ask you turn
The other way!

The Mirror Struggled
The mirror struggled; reflecting beauty such as hers
Prescribed a glory in the challenge – a fairytale
Or such as like! To shimmer back hypnotic hues
From auras of her skin – how do mirrors cope?
Hoary tales of pretty adolescent buds
Could never hope to match the tomes of dreamy
Pulchritude apprising us of such a belle as she.
The mirror shone; and as it worked itself, a moment –
Did it overlook the hidden melancholy?
Were melting eyes bedewed–? Florid lips imbued
With mournfulness? The hindrance of the silver glass!
Oh! to seek – to know the meaning of the sorrow!
She (with tearful hair, an image out of heaven)
Never opened up her heart. The mirror struggled.

but it's not much?
Just a ten dollar bill.
And I try to eradicate

I take only a teaspoon

Then only I realized
It's a tablespoon

Morning Reflections
One early morning
I looked into the mirror
And remember the day
My reflection told me
Now don't run away!
Those wrinkles resemble
Years spend in the sun
And if you remember
Admit they were fun
The lines on the forehead
So long and so deep
You got from getting to little sleep
The smile is still the same
A little more weight is not a shame
The feet get quickly tired
But walking on the road still gets me wired
The long hair that once blew in the breeze
Has been shortened and ceased
Life still trills me and happiness fills me
To wake and hear a robin sing
Not knowing what the day will bring
So mirror say what you will
I don't consider myself over the hill.

A Pauper's dreamlike journey
When he kept his burdensome head on the velvet pillow
He felt very comfortable,
And the springy mattress shot him to the Heaven.
He walked here and there like a balloon.
When angels played with a singsong
He danced like a harlequin
And the sequins of angels' costumes punctured the balloon.
He fell down and broke his crown
And found the stone pillow by the roadside pavement.
He heard the distant horse car where the king heads for his secret harem in the midnight.

Broken Chances
My Love,
I don't know how you're going to get this,
But it is my last word on this Earth.
Just what ever you do sit alone and read this.
I want you to be at the lake where you gave me my first kiss,
I want you to sit by the tree that held us, and read this.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were my love, my only one person who always made me smile,
You held my hand through so many things, so many firsts.
You were my light you were my smile
And you told me the three deadly words,
The words that always kill, but first make you smile.
I have sewed my mouth shut, so you will never see me smile.
I would melt at the sound of your voice,
I would just sit and listen just to know you were really there,
I would call when you weren't home, just to hear your voice.
My wish every day was to hear you say 'I love you',
To hear your voice.
I have glued my ears so I don't have to listen to your lies.
I remember the feeling of your hands running through my hair,
You'd weave your fingers through it to comfort me,
Sometimes I would act sad just to feel your fingers in my hair,
I would silently smile and melt in your arms.
I remember your fingers running through my blond hair.
I have cut my hair so I can never remember that feeling.
U can see you standing looking at me with your sparkling eyes,
I always see you,
I can never see past those deep eyes,
I can see you smile at me, see your hands reach for mine.
I can still see your eyes.
I have cut my eyes out so I can never again fall into your deceiving eyes.
You made my heart race with butterflies, with hope.
I gave you my heart to keep, you said you'd never break it,
You gave me the one thing i needed ti keep going; hope.
And I fell for the traps, I gave you EVERYTHING.
I ave you all the hope I held in my heart, my soul.
I have stabbed my heart, just so you can't shatter what's already broken.
You became my life, you became my love, my everything.
No matter what happened I still loved you,
And no matter what I tried to give you everything,
And you made me loose so much that I'm left with nothing,
And with my dying breath I give you what was all I had left, my everything.
I take my life to show you what love really means, that it's not the lie you told.
I may not be able to smile when you hold me,
I may not be able to hear your words even if their truth,
I may not be able to remember you soothing touch, or your warmth,
I mat not be able to see your eyes, or your reaching hands,
I may not be able to press my beating heart against your skin,
I may not be able to give you a second chance, for like my heart it is broken,
But After the pain and lies, I believe in what I felt for you,
And hope maybe someday you'll believe the same, and find beauty from pain
Even with nothing left to give you but my word, I breath my last breath for you.
I lay in silence to let you live, to give to you a broken second chance,
For I will always love you,
Be............
When you walked in my life...
When you walked in my life
You wiped my tears
When you walked in my life
You built my heart strong
When you walked in my life
You made my life precious
When you walked in my life
You taught me meaning of love
When you walked in my life
You showed me many things
When you walked in my life
You made my love grow for you
When you walked in my life
You told me how much I mean to you
When you walked in my life
You made your caring soul inside me
When you walked in my life
You gave me memories to cherish forever
And I will there for you till my eyes close dear
My Love Story
There is a girl in my life,
she's someone so close to my heart.
i hold her dear and high,
for she brings light to my dark night.
I can remember vividly the first day i met her,
i was stunned greatly for she holds the beauty of the sky.
her smile was so mild, even nature would blush at sight
no wonder all the boy wanted her to be thier's in class.
I manoeuvered my way into her life,
and she accepted me with open arms.
everyday i sit quiet just to watch her smile,
for i was mesmerised greatly by her beauty charm.
As time passed, we became best of friends
life became sweet, for her smile wiped my tears.
there is no friend who captured my heart like her,
for she's as mild as the stars in the sky.
But shortly after, my friendship begat love
and everything began to change in my life.
my heart started beating faster without a stop,
my thoughts was clouded by the beauty of her smile.
she's all i think of all day long,
sometimes i call her name in my dream.
my love for her was so strong,
and i loved her even in my sleep.
But my love for her remained a tale,
for in her presence i become so lame.
not once could i summon courage to tell her how i feel,
for those three lovely words were tied on my lips.
Time flew before i realised it,
the final exam came and we all made our exits.
everything changed before i knew it,
for the world changed from how i met it.
My happy moments became a tale,
for my cheerful heart had lost its taste.
i sit all day long thinking of my past,
for all i have left is the memory of her smile.
