A woebegone bird watches the forest burned!

Where's that silent tall tree
Who gave us shelter free?
My offspring kept in the roost
And I flew early in the morning
To a faraway farmland!
I collected a mouthful of golden seeds for my loved ones
And on my return in the twilight the forest almost burned!
Where's my children's father and all of them burned together?
Fire has extinguished but I found only the ashes.
In the thick smoke among the debris
I sniff their fragrance but the cruel odour of wildfire
Filled my prostrated lungs.
Where do I fly in the hopeless sky and to whom I bring the food hereafter?

*Is there any Establishment not a court in this troubled World a bird could plea and do they really understand the lament?

Fire And Smoke

Fire And Smoke

red as searing hot
the flames of desire
fanned by yesterdays thoughts
' collected visions, relived investments '

gone realities in burned debris
beginnings born from empty arms
stirred the fire as ashes waft
warmth friction sparks blazes high

broken branches are bodies spent
gratefully torched the flame subsides
resistant coals of burnished red
reminisce the temperature of last nights fire

spent fire works lay cold and damp
fragments used now used up
burned and gone ashes now gray
in the smoke of lingering ideas

who carries the torch in today's heart?
a matchbook moment to ready the fire
restore the heat of passions desire
quell the flames that still are warm.

Mr Puppet Man

Mr Puppet man lived in a van,
a very, very dirty van
where he drank wine
and he did dope, ol' Mr Puppet man

He liked a bit of a smoke he did
he liked a bit of a smoke
and he blew and blew and he blew
until he was cyanosed.

Mr Puppet man was sad
for all that he had was very bad
and the bad was getting him down, it was
and so he'd frown and frown.

Mr Puppet man, he died
with nobody there, I tell no lies
and no one to pull his chords of life
and bring him back from death

and they never even buried him,
just set the van on fire
and it burned and it burned and it burned, it did,
it burned all bloody night……

and when they found the ashes,
next day when all was done
there were no signs of Puppet man
and my tears, they put out the sun, they did,
and my tears, they put out the sun.

Burning In The Skies

I used the deadwood to make the fire rise
The blood of innocence burning in the skies
I filled my cup with the rising of the sea
And poured it out in an ocean of debris
I'm swimming in the smoke
Of bridges I have burned
So don't apologize
I'm losing what I don't deserve
What I don't deserve
We held our breath when the clouds began
to form
But you were lost in the beating of the
storm
And in the end we were made to be apart
In separate chambers of the human heart
I'm swimming in the smoke
Of bridges I have burned
So don't apologize
I'm losing what I don't deserve
It's in the blackened bones
Of bridges I have burned
So don't apologize
I'm losing what I don't deserve
What I don't deserve
I'm swimming in the smoke
Of bridges I have burned
So don't apologize
I'm losing what I don't deserve
The blame is mine alone
For bridges I have burned
So don't apologize
I'm losing what I don't deserve
What I don't deserve
And here's the dead wood to make the fire
rise
The blood of innocence burning in the skies

The Night The Carousel Burnt Down

Werent you there when the carousel burned down
The fire and confusion, the smoke and the sound
I swear you were there when the carousel burned down
We were all around
The rings charred and tarnished all over the ground
And the heads hung down
And we all left town the next day
The children all cried when the carousel burned down
The old ladies sighed and the carousel burned down
The rest of us lied as the carousel burned down
And the flames did fly
The pipes steamed and shrieked out a blazing goodbye
As the boiler died
And they melted down the midway
And we all left town the next day

Hypochondria

I listen in the quiet of the night to a faraway chirping of a bird.
She too awakes like me and I try to understand her austere song.
'Where's my Sweetheart and he's late tonight?
He promised me to bring sweetcorn,
Something happened to him or he flew in a wrong direction to some other roost?
I believe you and pray that you'll be all right,
And don't fly in the awful night.
I am awake till dawn until your safe return.

The Vision the Tree that was Me

I saw a tree so tall and straight
It almost reached to the heavenly gate
I was very close to that tall tree
I became the tree, and the tree became me A fire was burning all around
It burned the roots that were attached to the ground
The fire did not burn the heart of the tree;
As I was the tree and the tree was me. God saved the tree that was me,
God looks upon the heart you see
He saw a sinful heart set free
Sins all buried on the cross of calvary God took the tree that was me,
And planted it by crystal sea
I am the tree, and the tree of life is in me
I, and the tree are one you see, Would you like to be our neighbor?
A tree planted by the waters.
Come to the cross dear sisters and brothers
Jesus will meet you; and we will meet each other.

The Bridge I Burned

Im walking down times square in the electric daylight
The sailors on shore leave stand out in their perfect white.
Im up here with my spying glass at the window of the world
For better or for worse - its a perverse universe, my love.
Now I know, I should have never walked over the bridge I burned
Now I know, somehow I dont feel so alone.
[the sermon]
You mutter underneath your breath - it echoes round the world
Everybody comes from nowhere.
There is hope, it loops up in the air
Now I know, I should have never walked over the bridge I burned
Now I know, somehow I dont feel so alone.
You said I used to be handsome if you screwed up your eyes
Professors and vampires drank up all the tears I cried.
Now theres a bird at my window, he feeds upon the pain
And sometimes he sings to me - a mocking bird in the twilight of infamy.
Now I know, I should have never walked over the bridge I burned
Now I know, somehow I dont feel so alone.
Now I know, I should have never walked over the bridge I burned
Now I know, theyve burned one sinner and the others are set to follow
Now I know.
Now I know.
Now I know.

Bohemian; A Flyleaf in the book of morals

He makes his roost on an uprooted and a flamboyant tree.
The wingless bird is longing to fly.
They divide the earth and inside the barriers build their own prisons
In different colors and shapes it seems.
They fly in dreams along the illusory sky and smile, cry, sing and dance.
The grown-up offspring struggle to flutter over their new roost.
The elders isolate in their old gloomy shacks and lament.
The dumb earth knows everything,
Yet her dialogue is a dead language in morbidity.

Wildfire

The border of this fire crackled and snapped.
It's undulating movement that moved
All over the earth's body.
It's leaping orange and red intertwined,
This fire in all it's glory made me scream.

It made me heat up, this fire of old and fire of new.
This fire's constant singing made me wonder how it had a voice.
But it did, sometimes lower and sometimes higher, and then
So high.

This fire was nature's mischief maker and he made mischief.
Of all the leaves, branches and trees around him,
And he made mischief on me.

One day I disclosed to all my friends,
This fire was not a true fire.
It didn't burn down anything,
But it so excited me that it did burn my heart.
It excited my whole body and burned through my soul.
This fire just lit up my life.

But this wildfire was no ordinary fire.

This wildfire was my lover.
For this there was no other.
For his mother had named my lover Wildfire.
Watching his antics and speeding around on the playground,
I'll always hold Wildfire tightly in my arms because he's so hot.

Your Eyes

My heart always cries
When I picture your eyes
Singing love with silent song.
Shining like dew
In the fire of the sun
Haunting me all day long.
Rainbows and you
Hide where distant dreams belong
Sparkling but out of view.
Why did it end
When the note i did send
Flew with Cupids' dart
Blew your world apart.
Sweetest sonnet at twilight hour
And laid upon it dawns' fragrant flower.
Arriving
The rhyme for your sighs
Reviving lost tears in your eyes.
When we made love
With the rhythm of the rain
Tap dancing on your window pane
Your eyes burned starlight
Into my brain
In dreams I return to again and again
Sweet birdsong i hear
Through avenues of pain
Your eyes call me back
Through midnight forest I run
My colours fade to black
Then kissed awake by morning sun.
But clouds still drift across my soul
Lovelight departed, I tumble and roll
And lie waiting alone
In this world of disguise
I look up at starred night
For just one glimpse
Of your eyes.

Candle of Love

He was the fire...the fire to my burning candle

When I first recieved him he lit up my life

His flame burned vibrantly, it burned with care, and

it burned forever

Now that fire that once burned for me won't even
spark for me

Maybe its old, maybe I'm not lighting it right..or
maybe his flame is tired of my candle

Love without Pain

Fire is unexpected without smoke
Love is also unexpected without pain
If love is fire then pain is smoke
Smoke is the realization of fire
Pain is also the realization of love
Fire is the coincidence of two objects
Love is also coincidence of two hearts
Soul is free from pains and pleasures
Mind can only understand the pains and pleasures
But heart can feel the pains and pleasures
May be throughout life
Love of one’s is not understood
But isolation of the beloved one
Makes us the realization of one love
Love is the natural phenomenon like fire
Life without love is a barren land
Fire sometimes burns to ashes
Love also sometimes makes the life to ashes
If life is delighted due to love
Surrounding is also enlightened due to fire
But when love and fire comes together
Fire is extinguished due to love of a beloved one

The Story Behind The Fire This Morning

before the house was razed by fire
the old man visited the house and cried
telling me about a young man who promised
that if he ever loves another woman
the house shall be burned
to strip it of its meaning

at 6: 30 today early morning the firemen
called it a day. The house is gone
The old man gone. The young man gone.

i like to write the story behind all these
misfortune
but i am afraid that some parts of it
may not be true
or that if true, it may not be fair at all,
or that it be totally unjust
so that there is no use
writing it anymore

The old woman died a year ago
She floated in air
suffered vertigo
she gave up finally
the young man to the world
heard the promise of the old man
who could not do anything
when the house
got burned.

April appears lusciously

The fourth month comes with the Eastern wind
And I hear the faraway my cuckoo bird sings,
Apprehends our new year begins soon.
I sniff the fragrance of oil-cakes.
Oh! Our nest scattered and wife & myself
The old couple here and the loved ones there.
Who makes the longest bridge in between us?
I see the World map hangs on the wall
Where my tiny island standstill like a Pearl.
My beloved took a footruler
And measured the length like a Surveyor.

Smoke And Ashes

I'd heard rumors and I'd heard talk
About the trail you'd left of broken hearts
About the sea of tears too wide to cross
But a little bad press has never scared me off
So I burned a path to figure out
How to get me some of what you got
I've got a red hot heart
If the talk is true your's is the same
And we should be together
And let our passions fan love's flame
When I looked for you I almost passed you by
You were so cool and calm
I thought my friends had lied
But I thought so much reserve must make you wild inside
It was there and then that I knew
I had to get some of what you got
I've got a red hot heart
If the talk is true your's is the same
And we should be together
And let our passions fan love's flame
I thought I'd won your heart when I held you hand in mine
I thought it was true love the way we complemented each other
But my right is your wrong
And when you're right then I'm left with nothing
Your light and your heat have all been spent
Leaving only smoke and ashes
Only smoke and ashes baby
I've got a red hot heart
And your heart's as blue as the blood in your veins
I say there's fire down below
You say it's only smoke and ashes baby
I'm crying all the time
Salty stinging tears
And mourning for the past carbon-dated years
But knowing now for certain that you were always right
Because if a breeze could blow you out of my life
It's only smoke and ashes baby
Only smoke and ashes baby
I've got a red hot heart
And your heart's as blue as the blood in your veins
I say there's fire down below
You say it's only smoke and ashes baby
I was blinded by devotion
My unwavering love for you
So blinded that I thought all your lies were true
But now I know for certain since you've gone away
It was just a smoldering fire I mistook for a blaze
Only smoke and ashes baby
I've got a red hot heart
And your heart's as blue as the blood in your veins
I say there's fire down below
You say it's only smoke and ashes baby
Only smoke and ashes baby, baby ...

When There Is Nothing More To Be Done...

got a call and she is dying,
whatever that means
dying to see me
or dying to die
it does not matter to me anymore
now that i have burned all the bridges
and made holes of those wooden boats
and broke all the paddles
what then is going to be done
as a matter of
last resort to save what she thinks
is still valuable
inside our hearts

we are like those burned houses
early dawn with nothing saved
we see all the ashes and some smoke
still clinging on the charred pieces
of furniture and beams
of the past

'there is nothing anymore'
and i have not opted for those memorized prayers
those usual offerings of
chicken blood and pork
or the newly hatched egg with a squeaking chick
hoping that perhaps someday
the root cause shall be known
how the tree falls off and how the worms
begin their feasts
on our own stupidities.

Ashes

(lonnie wilson/chris waters/charlotte wilson)
Ashes
Hes nothing but ashes
No feelings have lasted
No love remains
Ashes
Thats all that our past is
Hes nothing but ashes
From a cold old flame
I saw your face when
He waltzed in here
But those old embers
Havent burned for years
The light thats shining
In my eyes
Is for the one that
Im with tonight
Ashes
Hes nothing but ashes
No feelings have lasted
No love remains
Ashes
Thats all that our past is
Hes nothing but ashes
From a cold old flame
No I dont blame you
For having some doubts
But when he left me
That fire burned out
So dont be thinking
Theres still a spark
cause he could never
Tear us apart
Ashes
Hes nothing but ashes
No feelings have lasted
No love remains
Ashes
Thats all that our past is
Hes nothing but ashes
From a cold old flame
Hes nothing but ashes
From a cold old flame

Schizophrenia

And so I closed my eyes, my soul shielded
They'll never find me through the smoke.
by the darkness. Protected by the warmth
Like a blanket. I should rest here.
of the wildfire that lay before me.
The flames smell of Blood and Hope
The ashes blanketed the ground:
and the ashes float with my footsteps
a ground made from layers of dust
The dust will swallow me.
left by countless fires of the past.
I must find Home.
By flames only quenched by suffocation.
Suffocation! My suffocation!
And I felt the heat of those flames, too.
But Home is hiding from me.
They licked at my fingers, but I ran.
My fingers were frozen. Red and frostbitten
And no matter how fast I ran, they ran
Home will be gone soon. I must find it.
faster. A Labyrinth of flames.
I am lost,
Where my thread was burned and the Minotaur
never to be found:
would never be found, just as I was.
Home destroyed by the flames with me.

A migratory widow bird from Afghanistan

Her long black tail feathers and the somber color of its plumage
Gave me an impression of widowhood,
I try to listen her plea and it's sorrowful
The bird speak the language of human
But nobody understands.
'My innocent husband died in the poppy fields while searching food
A bomb dropped from the sky and I escaped and flew here,
Oh! It's a winter I forgot and I left my winter clothing at my husband's roost,
Don't know whether I could be friendly with the birds here? '
