Hypochondria
I listen in the quiet of the night to a faraway chirping of a bird.
She too awakes like me and I try to understand her austere song.
'Where's my Sweetheart and he's late tonight?
He promised me to bring sweetcorn,
Something happened to him or he flew in a wrong direction to some other roost?
I believe you and pray that you'll be all right,
And don't fly in the awful night.
I am awake till dawn until your safe return.
I dedicate this poem to the poetess Indira. Babbellapati

Ah, The Bird-night!
night fluttered
its wings-
a wounded bird
fallen into my lap
to be comforted
i lie awake
nursing bird-night
teary-feathers
gained strength
at the break of
a ruddy dawn
the bird will return
as night gathers, again!

O Let Me Have A Late- Night Poem
O LET ME HAVE A LATE- NIGHT POEM
O let me have a late- night poem
A way of saying goodbye
To all the thousands of jumbled feelings of today
To all the music and the beauty of everyday life
To all the quiet haunting search for some great epiphany
To all the letdown and the loss and the fading
In the small errands of daily duty.
Let me have a late night poem
Which hints at the sense of loss
The question of why so much so beautiful
Must die
Why each of us is a passing fragment only.
Let me have a late night poem
For all my sorrow and prayer my pleading to God
A poem to say goodnight and goodbye
Because I too in yet another day ahead
Will understand why
We must all die.

The crows, he said,
would roost each night in the middle one
of the three tall trees at my garden's end,
every night the flock of crows,
every night the middle tree,
except the once,
just the once,
the only night they did not come,
the very night a German bomb
hung-up, dropped late, and hit the tree.
The crows, he said,
were back next night in the left-hand tree,
where crows have roosted sixty years,
every night the flock of crows,
every night the left-hand tree,
except tonight,
except tonight,
the only night they have not come:
awake, I watch that moonlit tree,
the gap where something used to be,
awake, I wonder -

What Poem Can The Night Bring?
WHAT POEM CAN THE NIGHT BRING?
What poem can the night bring?
The poem of darkness?
The poem of silence?
The poem of infinite unrest?
What poem can the night bring?
When the night itself does not know its own meaning,
And all its quiet darkness says only:
A man alone cannot live as one.
A man alone can only write,
Until somewhere else
Somehow
He is heard.

The Late Night Poem
THE LATE- NIGHT POEM
The late- night poem
Is a tired poem
It wants to sleep,
But it has not done what it should do-
Once it is written
It can go to rest.
The late- night poem
Is not a real poem,
Nothing is,
Not tonight,
In all this tiredness.

A woebegone bird watches the forest burned!
Where's that silent tall tree
Who gave us shelter free?
My offspring kept in the roost
And I flew early in the morning
To a faraway farmland!
I collected a mouthful of golden seeds for my loved ones
And on my return in the twilight the forest almost burned!
Where's my children's father and all of them burned together?
Fire has extinguished but I found only the ashes.
In the thick smoke among the debris
I sniff their fragrance but the cruel odour of wildfire
Filled my prostrated lungs.
Where do I fly in the hopeless sky and to whom I bring the food hereafter?
*Is there any Establishment not a court in this troubled World a bird could plea and do they really understand the lament?

Land Of Canaan
You can go to the east to find your
Your inner hemisphere
You say were under the same sky babe
Your bound to realize honey its not that clear
Im not your promised land oh no
Im not your promised one
Im not the land of canaan sweetheart
Waiting for you under the sun
Im lonely tonight
Im missing you now
Im wanting your love
And youre giving it out
Im lonely tonight
Im lonely tonight
Im lonely tonight
Well, the meanings changed
For what its worth
Its just a senseless game
Well I should think of love
But its fear every time I hear
Honey your heartbeat strain
Its not the fallen man
Its not the call of time
Its just the london skyline sweetheart
Telling me youre not mine
Im lonely tonight
Im missing you now
Im wanting your love
And youre giving it out
Im lonely tonight
Im lonely tonight
Im lonely tonight
My blood is running dry
My skin is, my skin is growing thin
For every time you find yourself
You loose a little bit of me honey from within
Its just a raging cycle
Why cant we bring it all to the end of the line
From inside this existence, sweetheart
Time is not on my side
Im lonely tonight
Im missing you now
Im wanting your love
And youre giving it out
Im lonely tonight
Im lonely tonight
Im lonely tonight
Im not your promised land
(Im lonely tonight)
Im not your promised one
(honey Im trying to tell you that Im lonely tonight)
Im not your promised land
Im not your promised one
Im not the land of canaan
(Im lonely tonight)
Im not your land of canaan
(Im lonely tonight)
Im not the land of canaan sweetheart
Waiting for you under the sun
Im lonely tonight

And I write this on your white tomb with a piece of charcoal
When I see the twilight sky
I think of you and your poem paintings!
When I hear a bird's chirping faraway
on a tree, I count your unsung poems?
Whenever I pass burial grounds
I believe that you're still alive
and write?
But you're gone and it's certain.
Do you remember we made a promise once
That one of us do our Epitaph?
Yes, it's my turn and I write this
on your white tomb with a piece of charcoal
and who writes on mine in your absence?
I dedicate this poem to the celebrated poet Khalil Gibran for his love letters!

Later Tonight
You wait till later
till later tonight
You wait till later, till later
till later tonight
That boy never cast a look in your direction
Never tried to hook for your affection
Dresses like the mod of your invention, tall and proud
He is the head boy of the school of thought
That plays in your intentions, night and day
And you wait till later
till later tonight
You wait till later, till later
till later tonight
And you wait till later
till later tonight
You wait till later, till later
till later tonight
cause tonight always comes

A Little Poem Story
A little poem telling a story about the poetess who were falling in love
A little poem smiled
She knew that the poetess was writting love words shyly
One..Two..Three.....Seven.....a lot of love words she wrote
They were beatiful, they were mysterious
A little poem felt the poetess’s emotion
The poetess was loving an awesome man deeply
A man who had filled in her absolute majority life
Like a candle in the dark., he lighted the poetess’s days
A little poem knew the poetess’s feeling
And the awesome man had to knew too
A little poem waited for that special day
One..Two..Three.....Seven...a lot of days passed
But a little poem never leafted from her place
The poetess never allowed a little poem to talked to the awesome man
The poetess leafted a little poem in her drawer
The poetess leafted her love words and nobody knew
A little poem had the blues
Love is about braveness
Love will become love when it expressed
“May be the poetess didn’t know about it”, she thought.

Will I Have A Poem Tonight?
WILL I HAVE A POEM TONIGHT?
Will I have a poem tonight?
Or will tiredness take me to bed
Without an answer?
Will I be able to find within myself
Some sounds of meaning
Some hint of beauty?
Something deeper than the darkness outside
As real as the longing within?
The poem which is written about the poem which is not
Is the poem which is written about the poem which is
And the poem which is
Is tonight the poem of the night
And the poem of the night tonight
Is the poem this poem is.

But Still...
before you know
i'll be gone from this world
and so from your world too
like a whiff of smoke
do i wish to dissolve
into the elements never to return
but where do i go?
the thought does haunt me
several times as i keep awake
into an empty night...
down down there i hear
hey, haven't you done that
many a time by now?
you've known the other day
death and life
is of seventy two cycles
why brood over your next destination
you had been there before
in the solitude of a vacant night
the voice booms and rings...
but still...

Chirping Birds
the morning here
is always the sound of chirping birds
because the trees
have been their homes at night
when the sun rises
the birds fly away again
and when the sun fades
they come back
to their nests
and home
the night hums the song of silence
bird's eyes closing again
to the golden sheen
of the bright moon
the white owl flaps its wings
on a nocturnal adventure
in harmony with the bats
friends of the night
some shadows lurk in the night
in the pursuit of happiness
some souls are restless
on dreams unfulfilled
some wake up dwindling at dawn
opening the fridge for a glass of cold water
switches on the computer
and begin again
anew to another poem

Morning Star
As I wake I see a morning star
through the window dimly shines
its final statement at the closing of the day
I've got a few more minutes of night time before I rise
as the dawn is breaking through the darkness
the morning star will fade but never die
morning star, I can't see your face no more, and that's good
get out now, out on the streets of your nowhere neighborhood
as I laid down last night I felt no pain
the day went on without a sound
another night to put all the business away
I had a few more hours of night time before I'd rise
all the stars were out last night in the sky
I slept right through as they all went by
soon the dawn was breaking up the darkness
the morning star will fade but never die
morning star, I can't see your face no more, and that's good
get out now, out on the streets of your nowhere neighborhood
you come along with a color that I can't match
gold chain and a crystal ball attached
you're coming from the wrong direction
and as I sleep tonight I'll dream of you
sleeping somewhere far away
you come into my head so pretty and so true
I get a few more hours to dream of you till I rise
as the fireworks shoot off in the sky
I sleep right through as it all goes by
soon the darkness would suck up into the dawn
the morning star will fade but never die
morning star, I can't see your face no more, and that's good
get out now, out on the streets of your nowhere neighborhood
you come along with a code that I can't crack
gold chain and a crystal ball attached
you were coming from the wrong direction
you were coming from the wrong direction
you were coming from the wrong direction

Another Song to Sing (Second Draft)
When the night is long and dark and cold
And there's nobody around for you to hold,
Don't forget, whatever night may bring,
Tomorrow is another song to sing.
When the night is cold and there's nobody to hold,
When there's darkness all around you and within;
Remember there's a light at the end of every night,
And every day's another song to sing.
So try to carry on and make it through till dawn,
And listen for another song to sing.
When the clouds hang heavy and so grey
That you can't bear to face another day,
Just remember that, in spite of everything,
Every day's another song to sing.
When everything seems grey and you can't face the day,
When you just wish the world would go away;
Remember there's a spring, once winter's had its fling,
And every day's another song to sing.
When winter turns to spring, those sunny days will bring
Another brand new song for you to sing.
When your heart's been beaten black and blue
And it seems your dreams are never coming true,
Try and find something to keep believin' in,
And listen for another song to sing.
When your heart is bruised and there's nothing left to lose,
And life seems like a game you'll never win;
Remember there's a friend waiting just around the bend
With another song for you to sing.
Remember you've a friend with a song that's newly penned
Especially for you and me to sing.
The Gravedigger's companion
Spinster night has a sweet voice like a teenager nurse on duty.
I like her transparency and hate the daytime.
There she whispers something,
'Brother! You too awake like me in this quiet atmosphere.
It's very hard to sleep in the day as the misers count money greedily and grumble isn't it?
You look so sad and tired these days and how many graves you dig today? '
'As usual, approximately ten to fifteen but I didn't feel tired sister.
Thanks for this cheap liquor that gives me the courage to fight forever.' I said.
'I understand your plight brother but try to find a kind partner and you can share your worries as she is a pain reliever.
I pray that one day a night flower touch your fragile heart secretly as she knows the language of darkness thoroughly.'
* I dedicate this poem to my helpless friend who's name is Poverty.

Something Is Wrong
something is wrong
but i don't know what.
with in my life
with in my way's.
something is missing
is it my heart
who ruine my night
who ruine my day's
i passing my night
by counting the stars
i wishing you
with in dream's
with in my pray's
something is wrong
is it that time
or is it my words
which blackend the paper
and think himself a lay
(a short lyric or narrative poem)
so just give back my nights,
just return my days
just return my all dreams
just give back my pray
do you hear!
whatever i say
My Nights
In the middle of my night,
still hours from day
as I toss and turn I'm wide-awake
but still in my bed I lay.
But while my comforter
keeps out the cold,
still in my wakefulness
I fear getting old.
I'm aware that the world
keeps moving along.
The wheels and ships
are humming their song.
And as the hours
bring me to dawn
I stretch, I scratch
and then I yawn.
I must join the world
and hum my song
until another bedtime
comes along.
In the middle of the night,
still hours from day
as I toss and turn I'm wide-awake.
But still in my bed I pray.

Love in Flames
In the quiet of the night
Before dawns revealing light
Love is flame that lights the sky
She is the only reason why.
She rests safe in night's repose
Flames dance above and below
Out of reach but still in sight
She is the quiet of my night
Breaking dawn becomes the light
Love in flames has taken flight
Lost within the light of day
Morning truth holds love at bay
Bring the quiet of the night
When love's bright fire is my light
