Poets’ Occupation

You insist on some occupations to grasp,
Yet lying has happened for some time.
The understanding is full, fulfilling us,
As men who bear the pains insist on us.

The warriors of controversy shake us
Around the jugular veins, where there is a deity;
The deity is wrong, fulfilling nobody
Just as skies are around to tempt.

May we insist on the men of old,
Poets who are strong and never gaining;
The ends of the story are folded
Into many chambers of the heart.

God sometimes grants your prayer to punish you....

do not insist. God has a way of punishing
your unreasonable widow
persistence, the Greeks are warned
about Wooden Horses,
and Achilles' heels,
do not insist. Don't you know that sometimes
God grants prayers
purposely to punish
those who are hardheaded?
Pray what God wills you to be.
Do not insist.
God knows better
Before you were born
He knows what is in store for you
Till the last
breath. Till you dropp dead.
So do not insist
Natural laws cannot be compromised.
Legal laws maybe.
Man made ones, those that twist
and pride on
Compromises.

Do not insist. Let God flow inside your
Heart. Let the seeds grow
As he sets the fertile soil
of the mind
As he gives the light in your
Sun.
As he prunes and cuts
and Makes you
The most beautiful tree
within the forest of your tangled
hairs.

Deity

You want a deity?

Come
Pickup a stone or wood log
Have some sindur
Have some flowers
Have some agarbati
Light wick
Deity formed.

Worship it.

Your deity is
Ready to give you
What you want.

Pray before the deity
With heart and soul.

The deity never
Try to and never
Done anything
That would put loss.
It is you to decide
How far you believe
On your deity
How far you have
Trust on Him.

A Narrative About Masks And Love

somehow the mask has become my own face
you lift it up with your hands and there are no more stories
to be told: about love? there is none anymore, if you insist,
there might be one, but it was about the love that did not die,
and for which i have told you once, and for me to live some more
years, as i insist, i wore a mask full of love and laced with
lust, and then i met you and you say
i am beautiful.
you say you love me, and i fall on an abyss of silence,
and i keep on falling, and i should have told you about
a story that i keep on telling but which you have not heard,
some twists, a clinch, a pinch, an inch of truth
that could have reached you,
but you do not want to listen anymore,
this is a love story,
but at the scene when you begin to unrobe me,
i tell you the truth,
this is not about you and I,
this is still about my past,
about pain and sin,
how could you be so unkind?

Woman In The Village

The woman in the village
Stood there on the gravel street
With a face pale and a gloom evading nothing.
Famished body and tensed mind
Are her two duals well knit for ever.
Her man is dead long before
And her kids are wretched and apart.

The lone woman of all seasons of the land!
She stood before the deity dark all over
With her folded hands shivering for want of strength.
The deity heeded none of her prayers for
It did not know even for once that it was a deity indeed!
The skies rained the big drops
And hers struggled to run down.

Down her feet
Earth shook and a hole caved in,
She fell not
For above her head were flying strong
Vultures dark which had begun to claim
Her famished flesh once more.
The clouds had now given in to thunders loud.

The Middle Class

Between dire straits and meager existence,
There are those who insist...
They represent the middle class.
And doing the best they can to make ends meet,
While that gap is widening fast.

Exhausted from swimming in debts and credit.
And unable to afford the keeping up of appearances.
Although they support those standards they value...
Those that have given up such tasks,
Can not convince them their beliefs have been trashed.

Between dire straits and meager existence,
There are those who insist...
They represent the middle class.
And as they hold onto dreams quickly slipping away,
Deluded they remain that changes made aren't here to stay.

Between dire straits and meager existence,
There are those who insist...
They represent the middle class.
And even though the sight of this continues to be sad,
Few are heard left to brag about what they own...
That others do not have.

Today...
Those struggling to maintain their middle class status,
Have one thing in common with those who are poor...
Wishing they had just a few dollars more!
And a door they can close to ignore what's going on.
Those days are gone.

What Is in a Name?

This I have to justify, Hope as a girls name
Born in the morning dew, Faith I refuse to choose
This day is lovers day, yet Valentine is not my daughters name
Hope I still insist, to quench our lusting drive

I guess you will get me right, as I insist on Hope as a name
Convincing I may not sound today, but Hope it had to be
Thinking hard and hard to think, not to give you Val as a name
May be Valerie as a Pet name, but Hope remains your only name

Valentine was everyones choice, while Dad insisted on Hope
Understanding this may be hard for now, not bad for futures sake
Swallow this with ease my girl, as Hope is all I see
Swallow this I beg my girl, as Hope is what you portend

The Problem With God

The God Problem

Religions’ root
Is mans guest to live forever
Not only of flesh
But superior to other life forms
Spiritual and advanced

He seeks a deity
In his own vain image
Insist he’s right
Ready to kill for his icon
And askew timelessness

Will not accept
He’s no more than a weed
Or a dandelion
Forever seeking assurance
That life offers more than death

Displays Of Diversity

They insist they wish more displays,
Of diversity.
And less racism expressed.
To move forward their policies of democracy.

And yet with their attempts with incompetence made...
They find themselves disqualified.
Since in a suburbanite isolation...
Is the only progress shown they have ever made.

With feelings they know best,
How to save and protect their own interests!
And yet...
They insist they wish more displays of diversity!
As long as there are more of them...
And fewer minorities!

Each one somehow thrives.

Each deity has some devotees,
Some of whom might be well off,
and ascribe their getting fortunes
To the grace of that deity and feed it.
So every deity is fed; so is the priest

Three Things That Cannot Be Hidden

allegedly there are three things that cannot be hidden.

the sun
the moon
and the truth

throughout my life i have hidden the truth
about myself and it will still be that way
till i take my last
breath

do not insist in seeing that face of truth
my truth is ugly
and i have seen it from the very first day
that they brought
me here
without my permission

i know you like to see it and perhaps describe the horrible details of its
features
i plea before you
do not lift the cover of my being
you may soon regret that you live in this world having seen
the ugly face of my
truth

do not insist to see my truth
it may be the cause of your untimely death
and the gods may pity you

look at me
i wear a smile but my heart is bleeding
it is inflamed
but never bursting.

(Something Inside) So Strong

The higher you build your barrier
The taller I become
The farther you take my rights away
The faster I will run
You can deny me
You can decide to turn your face away
No matter 'cause theres,
Something inside so strong
I know that I can make it
Though youre doing me wrong so wrong
You thought that my pride was gone, oh no
Theres something inside so strong
Something inside so strong.
The more you refuse to hear my voice
The louder I will sing
You hide behind Walls of Jericho
Your lies will come tumbling
Deny my place and time
You squander wealth that's mine
My light will shine
So brightly it will blind you
Because theres,
Something inside so strong
I know that I can make it
Though youre doing me wrong so wrong
You thought that my pride was gone, oh no
Theres something inside so strong
Something inside so strong.
Brothers and sisters
When they insist were just not good enough
Well we know better
Just look 'em in the eye and say
Were gonna do it anyway.
were gonna do it anyway.
We're gonna do it anyway.
Something inside so strong
I know that I can make it
Though youre doing me wrong so wrong
You thought that my pride was gone, oh no
Theres something inside so strong.
Theres something inside so strong.
There's something inside so strong.
Something inside so strong
I know that I can make it
Though youre doing me wrong so wrong.

Why Did You?

Why did you make me do it?
You know you led me on.
If you hadn’t started the way you did
I wouldn’t have that far gone.

Why did you insist?
You know my resistance is low.
If you hadn’t looked at me the way you did
it would’ve been easier to say no.

Why did you take advantage of me?
You knew that I’d give in.
If I hadn’t lost my voice just then
you would’ve heard my shouting.

Do you now regret for leading me on
and doing what we shouldn’t do?
Oh dear, you are giving me that look again,
and my voice is going too.

Are you thinking what I think you’re thinking?
Oh dear, I’ve got to go in a minute or two.
Well, if you insist in doing it again
I’ll try my best to resist you.

There you go you’ve done it again,
and I’m going to be late for my tea.
Tell me am I safe to put the kettle on,
or should I wait and see?

The Sea-Bedroom

Under the sea is a bedroom for me to exist,
In it I lie and commit eating and to insist.
My waters are pure in the heaven,
Causing widespread damage to notation.
These letters are in the water, in salt,
For we are in heavenly fault.
The reasons for gaining results is fine,
The sea is a bed for the sleep that is mine.

i am a human being a smart thought
i have any reason about it

how about you?
you just have a plenty of anger, no more
without understanding

do not ever blamed me
i do not liked it
if you insist on doing it then i will fight you

This Or That

You want me to understand...
This about you
And that about you
And this about you
And that about you.
And I'm understanding this...
Listening to you insist about that!
It is you that could give a rat's ass
About anything that doesn't include you!
And YOU don't understand this Or that,
About me...
Or if a tree 'pees' at all!
