Definite came straws lightening a hut of promises,
Destruction of wilderness came only to second attention.
Fortnightly the pressure unbearable, a strange affair,
One that flooded gravely so stupidly inside me.
If only praise wandered across boundaries when delivered
Ghosts of lost soldiers feeling prisoner ship in their joining times.
General after general had forsaken a key element of strategy,
Most of the lives were picked by handsome folk, in the sewage system;
This is Wednesday and Thursday in the week of the last year,
A lovely two days of illnesses, forgotten much over thinning the waist
As the two days after come - Friday and Saturday - unfortunate of them.
We disembark on a flight to the Netherlands, and meet stages often.
Eventually, the flight has achieved our dreams of development.

Days Gone By....
Thursday.
got a headache on Wednesday
Tuesday was bad,
and Monday was unforgiving.
negative energies are always here with me.
There is a maggot feasting on the poisoned rat.
I poisoned it last week, and days are not
that efficient to kill it without seeing
another light.
It died inside the cabinet causing us
too much disturbance.
Friday, another poem.
I hate sadness. I expect redemption.
But Friday is another usual Friday.
It cannot forget that poisoned rat
that died on a Thursday.
Saturday, i will be away on a boat
crossing the sea towards an island
Sunday, again
there is no church, It is the mountain again
No, not Calvary.
It is my day with the working people.

I like to think of Monday,

Wednesday
To everyone else Wednesday is nothing more than
the middle of the week. But to me Wednesday is
much more than three days to Saturday. See to
me Wednesday is like Christmas, my birthday,
and Valentines Day all rolled up in to one.
For every Wednesday my love and I take time out
for one another. We run a warm bath with milk
rose bubble bath and light candles. As we soak
we gently caress and hold one another. Then
after the bath we dry off, and go sit by the
fire. Meanwhile, as Kenny G. plays on the
stereo we snuggle. Now as we snuggle I watch
the reflection of the crackling fire in my
lover's eyes, and it makes me fall in love with
my lover all over again. Now, after about an
hour of snuggling by the fire we both drift off
to sleep in each others arms. Only to be
awaken by Thursday morning's sunlight.
This is why Wednesday is much more
than just the middle of the week to me.
Holding on
I do not want to die on a Monday with rain raging down on my pain
my mind drifting back through a lather of dreams and fear grabbing hold of my name.
I do not want to die on a Tuesday it's the least of my favourite days
like the start of New Year there's little to cheer unless I change my ways.
I do not want to die on a Wednesday in sight of the weekend fair
too much to remember and much more to do - would be easier to finish off there.
I do not want to die on a Thursday for it's my favourite day of the week
the cheque in the door the wine on the floor - do not want to go anymore.
I do not want to die on a Friday because my father did
fallen, alone, by a railway line just as I started to live.
I do not want to die on a Saturday with people rushing around
voices that laugh in the sun in the park and footballers pounding the ground.
I think I'll go on a Sunday when my summers have no more to give and children play by the Great Lucan weir unaware that I ever had lived.

Said General Clay to General Gore really must we fight this silly war
To kill and die in such a bore I quite agree said General Gore
