Many Speak Like Giants
Many giants stagger at the battle they have fought,
Fighting inhibits the brain that rides and sways;
It innocently speaks, the wars bespeak to count,
So then fighting designs a right of conduct;
Many giants fall at their age of reason,
Reasons fell from the clouds and smothered with rain.
The real message awaits to see me as gigantic
And huge for the purpose,
I can wait and observe the crowd of people,
Watching is their insult and I have observed.

They Might Be Giants
Hang on
Hang on tight
They might be giants (boy)
They might be giants
They might be rain
They might be heat
They might be frying up a stalk of wheat
They might be giants (boy)
They might be giants
They might be brain
They might be washed
They might be dr. spocks back-up band
To make the merry-go-round go faster
So that everyone needs to hang on tighter
Just to keep from being thrown to the wolves
Tabloid footprints in your hair
Tabloid footprints everywhere
We cant be silent
cause they might be giants
And what are we going to do unless they are
They might be giants (boy)
They might be giants
They might be bald
They might be snow
They might be something else in the snow
Hang on tight
They might be giants (boy)
They might be giants
They might be fake
They might be lies
They might be big, big, fake, fake lies
Tabloid footprints in your hair
Tabloid footprints everywhere
We cant be silent
cause they might be giants
And what are we going to do unless they are

Killer Of Giants
If none of us believe in war
Then can you tell me what the weapons for
Listen to me everyone
If the button is pushed
Therell be nowhere to run
Giants sleeping giants winning wars
Within their dreams
Till they wake when its too late
And in gods name blaspheme
Killer of giants threatens us all
Mountains of madness standing so tall
Marches of protest not stopping the war
Or the killer of giants
The killer of giants
Mother nature people state your case without its worth
Your seas run dry your sleepless eyes are turning red alert
Killer of giants threatens us all
Mountains of madness standing so tall
Rising so proudly it has nowhere to fall
This killer of giants
This killer of giants
Killer of giants threatens us all
Mountains of madness standing so tall
Marches of protest not stopping the war
Oh the killer of giants
Oh the killer of giants
Killer of giants
Killer of giants

A Sparrow's Thoughts... (Number Eight)
'steady rain, black dirt,
birds singing, to the clouds.
streets wet, cars passing,
time turns inward, so do i...'
a long slow Sunday afternoon.
winter whispers, almost forgotten.
spring turns the page, life begins again.
we are faced with so many issues;
poverty, joblessness, hunger, homelessness,
wars fought for profit, the corruption
of Wall Street and big business,
the oil companies raping the earth....
people fighting over religions,
over politics, over pieces of ground...
forgetting, we dont own the earth,
we belong to the earth.
and anyone who believes in god,
would have to know, that if god
is a real god, he/she wouldnt love
just one type of people...
if you believe in god,
god created all of this rich diversity
for a reason!
if we quit fighting the endless wars of the elite,
we could take the money spent and feed the hungry,
and house the homeless...
if wages and goods were distributed in a fair manner,
people could live!
there should be no divide between rich and poor,
only people, working and living, side by side.
those who have excessively taken for profit need to be tried,
and convicted. we absolutely have to find a way
to replace our dependance on oil, and now!
we need to go back to teaching respect,
we must learn to accept people for who and
what they are...
we need to go back, and find our way!
will end the same way i began, (we all do!)
'steady rain, black dirt,
a sparrow leaves the nest behind.
the simple faith of beating wings....
time turns inward, so do i! '

My Almighty Comes To Defend With A Rescue
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
I...
Do believe,
My Creator has a plan for me.
Without those battles,
Fought straddled to a saddle.
And I don't,
Fight any battle
Strapped high on any saddle.
No I don't,
Fight any battle
Strapped high on any saddle.
My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.
My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.
My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.
My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.

Old Fighting-Men
All the world over, nursing their scars,
Sit the old fighting-men broke in the wars--
Sit the old fighting-men, surly and grim
Mocking the lilt of the conquerors' hymn.
Dust of the battle o'erwhelmed them and hid.
Fame never found them for aught that they did.
Wounded and spent to the lazar they drew,
Lining the road where the Legions roll through.
Sons of the Laurel who press to your meed,
(Worthy God's pity most--you who succeed!)
Ere you go triumphing, crowned, to the stars,
Pity poor fighting-men, broke in the wars!

Fighting To Struggle Against The Grain
We all must come to learn,
We will and can make adjustments.
And not perceive ourselves,
As incredible creations incapable of listening.
Especially to messages delivered to us,
By those we deem unqualified...
And not having established credentials to bring them.
There is a reason why,
We can all identify the hearing of birds chirping.
There is a reason why,
We can all smell the scents...
From different flowers that bloom.
There is a reason why,
The Sun is where it is...
With a moon orbiting a spinning Earth.
Sitting where it is to benefit from this.
There are reasons why these 'mysteries' applied,
Before our eyes...
Remain as they are to be specific.
And 'if' anyone believes they are NOT here existing,
As a result of this...
To do as they wish with another agenda on their list,
Well...
They will follow anything to believe,
That the doing what they please has been ordained.
Like many who are caught up,
Fighting to struggle against the grain.
Even when the rain has come to fall to leave,
Nothing survives without its nourishment.
Regardless of implementing divisions and religious beliefs.
Even when the rain has come to fall to leave,
Nothing survives without it falling down from the sky.
Why?
Because everything we are,
Plays a part in being a piece of the whole.
And...
Fighting to struggle against the grain,
Is not going to change it.

The Dark Knight Comes Too Pass
The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known
From a mere boy
Being raised by the wolves
Living in the darkness for just too long
Something just went so wrong
The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known
Was it a death so desperately
Forever in misery
A loves tragedy
Is always so sad to see
The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known
The not so dead family
A murder held with in their arms
With no recourse
With no remorse
The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known
He's the alternate ending
As the light comes to pass
Shadows lurk
They shouldn't be disturbed
Let them rest in peace
The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known
Festered hate fills his eyes
As he is victimized
By those desecrated his loves ones grave
Becoming of the nightly terrors
The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known

I just took the idea that King Kong was too big for everything and reversed it and put George in a land of giants, which is basically what every kid goes through anyway - that, you know, the world is made for grownups, for tall people, for the giants.

Racoon
Racoon wakes up every night,
with its black soft mask and painted paws,
its quiet and still and white,
The sparkling snow mountain is where all the bundles of food is kept,
It walked up the frosted moutains,
just like the giants that came once a year,
up on the mountain there is a big wooden den, where the giants snore,
but Racoon has not come for watching the giants,
he has come for the big shining silvery can,
like the lonely stars that shone above,
Inside there is enough food to last for moons,
the sun rises and Racoon runs home,
For when the sun sets Racoon will climb snow mountain again.

Jimmy Sharmans Boxers
From the red dust north of dalmore downs
Sharmans tents roll into town
Twelve will face the auctioneer
Sharmans boxers stand their ground
Their days are darker than your nights
But they wont be the first to fall
Children broken from their dreams
But they wont be the first to fall
Fighting in the spotlight
Eyes turn blacker than their skin
For jimmy sharmans boxers
Its no better if you win
Standing in the darkness
Lined up waiting for the bell
The days are wasted drinking
At the first and last hotel
Why are we fighting for this?
Why are you paying for this?
You pay to see me fall like shrapnel
To the floor
What is the reason for this?
There is a reason for this?
What is the reason they keep coming back for more?
The blows now bring him to his knees
But still the crowd calls out for more
The drums are burning in his ears
The man keeps counting out the score

Conquering Giants
All of the giants within your life, are conquered with Jesus Christ,
Those giants that rage within, and those we face in a world of sin.
God who conquers giants for us, seeks only obedience and trust,
As we live for the Lord each day, following our Savior all the way.
Wherever in the world we trod, we faithfully need to seek our God,
To seek out our Savior’s will, as His purpose in life He does fulfill.
As believers, we’re God’s servant, to be used wherever we’re sent,
To fulfill a purpose bigger than us, through our Lord, Christ Jesus.
Like Moses and Joshua too, The Lord will strengthen me and you,
To stand strong and courageous, when things appear outrageous,
Whatever in life, may be our lot, The Lord God will forsake us not,
When we endeavor to follow Jesus, our Lord God will comfort us.
Being faithful to Christ’s call, God helps us stand, strong and tall,
So we will be ready and available, for God’s purpose and His will,
With a teachable spirit for Christ, God helps us deal with sacrifice,
As we meditate on God’s Word, God helps us live all we’ve heard.
If only in God we truly believe, with a humble spirit, we will receive,
Strength and courage from above, provided by The Savior’s Love,
To conquer those giants that we face, guided by sustaining Grace,
As God leads us with His Hand, toward that future Promised Land.

Never Believe
Is anybody here?
Is everybody here?
The service is about to begin!
I make my servant by fires insidious
Instead of the laughter, theres the last of the separated jewels
Ill make dust of the whole damned wall
Ill make hovels for all the worms
I left off my hands to save these idiot bastards
Bastards!
Me and cellmate have lost again for ever
The sun shines and I breathe my father...
I want so much to remove your past
And deliver your neurotic flesh from evil
Grab this giants hand
Grab this giants hand
Grab this giants hand
Grab this giants hand
But Im only allowed to touch what I know
And all that I know are hypocrites
Liars and witches who burned in the name of human fear
You will never believe
Never believe
We havent much time left
Evening will come
And with it the equivalent
Of the devils animals
With fear to come
They ask of us favors we cannot fulfill
They ask, curse at us, and we smile
Caught in conviction
A crowd of senseless individuals
Will go further than both love and greed
As the clear salvation -- the future is here!
You will never believe
Never believe

Dogs And Giants
You know the one who lifts stones and pelts the strongest of men,
And you have heard of ruinous giants stalking their prey with menace.
The stray dogs barking crazily at the giants and strong men
Are being killed, being slaughtered, like the killing of the troops.
The one who pelts at gigantic crowds called the exercising army
Shall be returned with a gust of freshness before being shot by the bullets.
So then canines deter the wicked and laugh in their way to the winter ground.
The summer sees a dog too fit for human consumption,
They pelt at the dog too fit for the consumption of themselves.

Art and People Watching
Do you ever go to an art show
And spend much of the time
Looking at the people there
People watching is fun I find
Perhaps the display is outside
There are booths serving food
You can sit and munch away
And get in the art and ‘people’ mood
Or walk around carrying food
And observe as you go
Much like a fair atmosphere
Always a huge people flow
With summer on the way now
More opportunities will arise
To go to art exhibits and observe
For art and people watching is on the rise
Art exhibits are everywhere
When the summer arrives
Ah yes, art and people watching
Always hold a terrific surprise!

Listen To The Darkness
i dont want to write
anything soft and beautiful
anything moving tonite
i'm just damned tired
of oppression and fighting
to just barely get by
of watching good people lose it all
children going hungry, wars
and more wars
no work, no jobs, no chance
to get out from under
of being lied to, used and abused
i'm tired of people not being human
and i think i'll just go curl up
with my dog
and listen to the darkness!

Soldiers march
march
march
march
march
wait ing for that first gunshot
waiting

whats wroth fighting for they wonder
whats there for me?
will you lead me away?
or leave me lying here?
yes i am a soldier now
but far away in the distance a voice calls
remember yourself and your life
your a soldier now fighting in a battle to be free once more

We May Be Little
We may be little, not to tall,
but the love we share is above all.
To be little is just fine,
if I were tall I'd run, and hide.
Short people are here to stay,
so giants get out of our way.
Trampled in life by big people's laughs, because they think we are so small,
they think they are so smart, just because they are tall.
Ha! ! I say to these giants, for short is all right,
and if they don't like us because of our height,
We won't go down without a fight.
(I wrote this back when I was a teenager, and living in Chicago.

True Soldier
You're off in war
While the love of your life is here
Be sure to come back
Be sure to come back for her
Don't forget the sights of our U.S.A.
The freedoms along with every privilege
Every privilege
Every privilege
(chorus)
You're fighting for freedom
You're fighting for rights
You're fighting to keep America in sight
Fighting for freedom
Fighting for rights
Fighting to keep my America in sight
Our affection is w/ you along w/ our pride
Keep us alive
Keep us alive
the tattoo on your arm reminds you of death
And friends who have died
The friend who has died
(chorus)
You're fighting for freedom
You're fighting for rights
You're fighting to keep America in sight
Fighting for freedom
Fighting for rights
Fighting to keep my America in sight
Down on her knees your mom prays for you
She's begging the Lord to bring you home safe
Come home safe
Please come home safe
Fly in the sky w/ all of your crew
Don't close your eyes the enemy stays true
You know what they can do
You know what they can do
(chorus)
You're fighting for freedom
You're fighting for rights
You're fighting to keep America in sight
Fighting for freedom
