A Follower of Money

Starting is like completing one job,
To remark on this event is suited to heavenly conduct.

Start on a daily work, forever in work and play,
To mystically remain in a tomb of graveness.

Finish the employment when one is paid,
Hunting a world is not a barren activity.

Your voice is mellow after the job is spoken
And carried into relaxation, rather complete.

Many employers are selfish enough to destroy
The salary of an intellectual man, a follower of money.

Their Enemies

Their enemies result in air,
To stand forever now;
My work does work as your affair,
This stance works on this brow.

The meaning of this world is cruel,
A life has one event,
You start from one of them able,
Towards the event bent.

Disaster looms on this old world,
Defend itself, to live,
My anxious reading so unfurled,
The reasons now active.

The mind encases wildly this,
Too much of it is wild,
This mental work comes not amiss,
The world is reconciled.

Time Stealing Employment Responsibilities

in this modern age as in past ages
receding back into incredibly ancient times
work has entailed journeys departures separations

lovers wives children may miss
departing work bound fathers in modern ages
departing mothers work bound share similar responsibilities

when loved ones are busy employment gone
when loved ones have to complete work requirements
when work requirements face hairline deadlines

employment will demand its pound of flesh
so complete responsibilities efficiently professionally
this is your work complete it to best abilities wisely

Right Work

The look is of right work,
The workers move and change
Together and apart.
The wages are fixed according to the effort,
We leave them to powerfully state their grievances.

The look is of work too beneficial,
The developers of work will benefit
As they are employers, bosses and chiefs.
The salary is not a problem,
And I leave you at the toil of the tall.

Work

Work is what we have to do
to put food on the table
we work for years and years
that is until we are unable.
We are asked at school
what we want to be?
I remember telling the teacher
that I want to play football for Coventry.
There's all types of work to do
like in an office or a building site
if your lucky you can do sport
be a Boxer and get paid to fight.
But most of us don't do that
and often we do jobs that we hate
like working in a horrible factory
starting early and finishing late.
But some workers love their jobs
and rarely ever miss a day
they enjoy being there so much
they'd probably work for no pay.
Work is a big part of life
so best do something you like
earn vast amounts of money
buy a flash car instead of a bike.
So be happy wherever you work
no matter what job that may be
but most of us want to retire early
that's why we keep on doing the lottery!

Who Is Better Suited

It may be we are judged,
For that which we do.
However...
Is it in the 'doing'
Or how what is done,
That we do satisfies...
What is wished?
In the accomplishment of it.
That which is done.

And if we are not prepared,
To receive comments shared.
Who is better suited,
To inflict critique?
If the activity made public,
Is not determined to be complete.
And how is that method chosen?
From what aspect of authority...
Can that voice be spoken?
If that knowledge,
Has yet to one arrived!

The World Looks Upon Us With Worried Eyes

look at us who want to really finish the work
this afternoon
look at us being looked at the world with
worried eyes
it is reminding that if we finish this work
on time
the work shall soon finish us
earlier than expected
look at this world that looks down upon us
it is not sleeping
it keeps reminding that there is no apocalypse
of earth and rock
the sun will always be there until it finds us all gone.

Work!

Work or no luck
If you don't have work
You get killed sitting still
Work or no luck
If you have too much work
You get killed struggling still
Work or no luck
If you finish fast
You get killed killing time
Work or no luck
If you don't finish on time
You get finished on time
Work or no luck
If you do well
You get recognized well
Work or no luck
If you do not do well
You get the pink paper wall
Work or no luck
If you are organized
You finish it on time
Work or no luck
If you are disorganized
You get finished on time
Work or no luck
If you are interested
Toughest becomes easy
Work or no luck
If you are not interested
Easiest thing becomes toughest
Work or no luck
If you are carving
You keep doing it great
Work or no luck
If you are not carving
You keep doing it a trait
Work or no luck
If you have work
You have luck
Work or no luck
If you have work
Still nothing to do
You have no luck
That's the fate of
Work or luck! ! ! !

Maid

After a decade
Of housekeeping
When housework
Seemed like
Clock-work
Never-ending
The more you
Clean
The more
It piles up
For
Another
Clean…
I finally have a
Maid
Who helps me
Every week.

A luxury
I couldn't
Afford
In the past
Years
As the
Cost of
Living
In the UK
Is so high.

Now,
That she
Takes care
Of my
Home
And I
Pay her
Well -
For all the
Cleaning…
I should
Feel happy,
Shouldn't I?

I have more
Time…
For myself
And my
Family.

But why
Do I
Feel so
Guilty?

The Work
I didn't
Like doing
She does it
All for the
Money
She needs
To feed
Her family
Of four
Children.

The mother
In me
Doesn't
Quite
Relish
Seeing
This -
Another
Mother
Work
So hard
And do
Odd jobs
Such as
Cleaning
People's
Toilets
And baths.

We find it
So uneasy
To clean
Our own.

Money
Makes
A slave of you
You like it
Or not,
To feed
Four
Hungry
Bellies,
You have to
Clean
Other people's
Homes.

The Question
Remains:

Should I be
Feeling
Happy
About
Giving her
Employment
And giving
Myself
Some respite
From the
Daily
Drudgery
Of house-keeping?

Or should I be
Feeling uneasy
About the fact
That she's also
A woman like me
A mother like me
A human like me

Yet she works
So hard for
Money…
The kind of jobs
I would abhor
To do…
She does it
With a smile
To keep her
Employers
Happy…
As she knows
If she
Loses her
Job, her
Children
Will be so
Unhappy.

A New Beginning

A new beginning without an end, with Christ as Lord and friend,
With older ways now left behind, when in Christ new ways I find.
New found ways to live my life, all to the praise of Jesus Christ,
This as I begin to Honor God, as a pilgrim upon the earthly sod.

Until my earthly pilgrimage ends, my path will have many bends,
As I travel down every road, on a journey to my heavenly abode.
To when I step out of this past, into a future that will forever last,
As I enter that Heavenly place, prepared for me by God’s Grace.

This life will end, be assured, even for those who know The Lord,
But, what He began shall continue, by The Spirit who lives in you.
All who have embraced the Savior, will be blessed by the Creator,
For we are promised by our Lord, that we’ll receive eternal reward.

All believers can eternally trust, the one who began the work in us,
As He holds together everything, Christ the Eternal Lord and King.
Although this work He will finish, its eternality shall never diminish,
Once we’re finished here on earth, we’ll have work of eternal worth.

He always was and will always be, so with Him we’ll reign eternally,
Although we had an earthly start, once with Him, we’ll never depart.
We’ll finish what He began down here, in a time that’s drawing near,
And once we see Christ our friend, time together shall have no end.

Four Letter 'Work' Song

Work me up, work me out, work me flip side down.
Work me here, work me there, work me with renown.
Work me hot, work me greedy,
work me through and through.
Work me to the very marrow,
work me just like I'd work you.
Work me proud, work me late,
work me do not hesitate.
Won't you let me work for you?
Work me til I'm black and blue.
Work me steady, work me needy, work me to a lather.
Work me til my backbone breaks, and the buzzards gather.
Work me in, work me under, work me til I bleed,
Work me over red hot coals, work me like a boss in need.
Work me nasty, work me silly, work me through the clover.
Up down, 'n' in between, into a slipknot sweet Jehovah.
Work me, work me, go ahead.
Work me, work me, til I'm dead.

Money, Money

I work all night, I work all day, to pay the bills I have to pay
Ain't it sad
And still there never seems to be a single penny left for me
That's too bad
In my dreams I have a plan
If I got me a wealthy man
I wouldn't have to work at all, I'd fool around and have a ball...
Money, money, money
Must be funny
In the rich man's world
Money, money, money
Always sunny
In the rich man's world
Aha-ahaaa
All the things I could do
If I had a little money
It's a rich man's world
A man like that is hard to find but I can't get him off my mind
Ain't it sad
And if he happens to be free I bet he wouldn't fancy me
That's too bad
So I must leave, I'll have to go
To Las Vegas or Monaco
And win a fortune in a game, my life will never be the same...
Money, money, money
Must be funny
In the rich man's world
Money, money, money
Always sunny
In the rich man's world
Aha-ahaaa
All the things I could do
If I had a little money
It's a rich man's world
Money, money, money
Must be funny
In the rich man's world
Money, money, money
Always sunny
In the rich man's world
Aha-ahaaa
All the things I could do
If I had a little money
It's a rich man's world
It's a rich man's world

Work That Needs Doing… Later.

Work.
There is always work to be done.
Real work, busy work, work I make for myself.
But it doesn’t need doing right away.
And so I procrastinate.
It will bring stress later on
When it is multiplied.
But I’m okay with that.
Now, the real problem is
That I may take time now to relax and enjoy life,
But the thought of work still lingers
To trouble my mind
And prohibit relaxation.
And still I procrastinate.

Prayer

God, I need a job because I need money.
Here the world is, enjoyable with whiskey,
women, ultimate weapons, and class!
But if I have no money, then my wife
gets mad at me, I can’t drink well,
the armed oppress me, and no boss
pays me money. But when I work,
Oh I get paid!, the police are courteous,
and I can have a drink and breathe air.
I feel classy. I am where the arms are.
The wife is wife in deed. The world
is interesting!, except I have to be
indoors all day and take shit, and make
weapons to kill outsiders with. I miss
the air and smell that paid work stinks
when done for someone else’s profit, so I quit,
enjoy a few flush days in air, drunk, then
I need a job again. I’m caught in a steel cycle.

To Those Who Concern

Migrant workers from developing Third World
Move to developed countries for all sorts of work
They may be professionals or just basic workers
Trying to fill their pockets a little much tighter.

Their employers hire them instead of their own country men
Because they are the cheaper and more hard working ones
They don't understand workers' right and things like that
And work and work and collect their wages intact

The wages basic workers get are quite pathetic and petty
It barely is enough for them to send money back to their families
But for professionals the sum is quite attractive indeed
They can save and send money back to their families in need

These remittent money, says the governments of Third World
Boost their GDPs and increase their economic power overall
But that money, if huge enough, can increase the demand of commodities and land
And raises the prices in those Third World countries of concern

This is a problem for those who are trapped inside
With no family members abroad and self-ability to flight
They work hopelessly and barely survive for less than a dollar a day
Until their minds are exhausted and their body slowly decay

A Job for McGuinness

Oh, it's dreadful to think in a country like this
With its chances for work - and enjoyment
That a man like McGuinness was certain to miss
Whenever he tried for employment.

He wrote to employers from Bondi to Bourke,
From Woolloomooloo to Glen Innes,
But he found - though his wife could get plenty of work -
There was never a job for McGuinness.

But perhaps - later on - when the Chow and the Jap
Begin to drift down from the tropics,
When a big yellow stain spreading over the map
Provides some disquieting topics,

Oh, it's then when they're wanting a man that will stand
In the trench where his own kith and kin is,
With a frown on his face and a gun in his hand -
Then there might be a job for McGuinness!

Why Work Ourselves Hard

Hard workers are long lived that does seem a lie
For the harder you work the sooner you may die
You drive a car hard though it's engine and body is strong
It quickly wears out it does not last that long
Hard work on the ageing body does take it's toll
Relaxation is good for the muscles and the soul
A time to recover when you are feeling tired
A balance in life is the thing most desired
By sensible people who know how to relax
Too much of hard work on your health a huge tax
In a World where many are driven by greed
The more money we have the more we think we do need
Why work ourselves hard when we can live on less
The heart it lives longer without strain and stress.

Work Hard, Play Harder

Work seems to be mandatory,
For people like me,
Slaving over books at school,
Just to get the grades,

We don’t have much money,
So after school I work,
Cleaning, babysitting, retail,
It’s tiring after awhile,

Homework and coursework,
Two more pains of teenage life,
It seems to me that I,
Work all night and work all day,

In the future for many years to come,
I know I’ll have to work,
Uni work and training,
I’ll need a part time job too,

But then I see, between it all,
I do get a rest and have fun,
I have great times, out with friends,
Addicted to CSI,

So now I work faster,
To get it over with,
Cus my philosophy is,
Work hard now, play harder later.
