The World Looks Upon Us With Worried Eyes

look at us who want to really finish the work
this afternoon
look at us being looked at the world with
worried eyes
it is reminding that if we finish this work
on time
the work shall soon finish us
earlier than expected
look at this world that looks down upon us
it is not sleeping
it keeps reminding that there is no apocalypse
of earth and rock
the sun will always be there until it finds us all gone.

Work!

Work or no luck
If you don't have work
You get killed sitting still
Work or no luck
If you have too much work
You get killed struggling still
Work or no luck
If you finish fast
You get killed killing time
Work or no luck
If you don't finish on time
You get finished on time
Work or no luck
If you do well
You get recognized well
Work or no luck
If you do not do well
You get the pink paper wall
Work or no luck
If you are organized
You finish it on time
Work or no luck
If you are disorganized
You get finished on time
Work or no luck
If you are interested
Toughest becomes easy
Work or no luck
If you are not interested
Easiest thing becomes toughest
Work or no luck
If you are carving
You keep doing it great
Work or no luck
If you are not carving
You keep doing it a trait
Work or no luck
If you have work
You have luck
Work or no luck
If you have work
Still nothing to do
You have no luck
That's the fate of
Work or luck! ! ! !

Life's End

Then life was a wonderful happiness,
If its commencement was fulfilled by soceity,
If its finish was not of unhappiness
And the ending was its finish,
The very same as Fate.

One loved the purpose of existing on the World
As we were thrust headlong into peril of work
Yet made a finish.

The perils are to demand a finish,
and leave us with splendour,
To find Height at the Heaven.

Pablo Picasso

To finish a work? To finish a picture? What nonsense! To finish it means to be through with it, to kill it, to rid it of its soul, to give it its final blow the coup de grace for the painter as well as for the picture.

Childhood Lost?

Can you tell me a story, Mom and Dad

Have to finish my office work, Dad said

I am watching my favourite TV serial, said Mom

Little, just a little story ('time', he meant)

Did you finish your homework

Haven't you any story books to read

Or Disney movies to watch on the VCR

Or games to play on your play-station

Dear, I have to finish my project

Let me watch TV in peace, darling

OK. No problem, said the child

Silently curled up in his bed and prayed

Tell me GOD, will they tell me a story tomorrow

Musing on mortality

Musing on mortality.

Though we all start on equal terms
Your life experience will affirm.
All finish up as food for worms.

Some will win whilst others lose
We have no choice we can’t refuse
All finish up as food for worms.

Although we strive to stay alive
By any means we can contrive.
All finish up as food for worms

Some settle for cremation
An act of desperation.
All finish up as food for worms

Although the ashes are broadcast
They mingle with the soil at last.
All finish up as food for worms

That is the way it’s meant to be.
There is no doubt eventually.
All finish up as food for worms

The only true equality
Is found within the cemetery
ALL FINISH UP AS FOOD FOR WORMS.

The whisper(sun)

When we were sleeping early in the morning
Rays of sun comes into our room
Knock our doors
Hello........man of God
Hurry up, get up, ready for work

When we were working, at noon
Sun comes straight on our head
Says, hey man, , , , , stop your work
Have your lunch
Take a nap
When we were close to finish the day
Sun turns it, s attitude, becomes kind heart
says us, leave your work, you have tired
it, s sufficient for today, sleep itself also

A Nice Guy

‘nice guys finish last’
such a famous quotation
so often apparently true
in a dog eat dog world

in the western world
nice guys do so often
seem to finish placed last
but is this ultimately true?

eventually all are Judgement Day judged
those first with men are often
last with heart perceiving God
nice guys do not finish last with God

Finish What You Started

(m. malamet/a. roboff/a. lang/d. lambert)
So, near yet so far
Thats how it is
Oh, thats how you are
What more can I do?
These walls wont let me get through
But if I know you, you will
Chorus:
Finish what you started
Youll come back to me
I know its gonna feel, baby
Like it used to be
So finish what you started
I will wait for you
I know where I stand
A fool for your love
Oh, thats what I am
Im losin control
Youre down too deep in my soul
To let you go, wont ya
(repeat chorus)
Im standing here shakin
Wonderin if you let me in
Oh, dont watch my heart breakin
Knowing what we could have been
What more can I do?
Your heart just wont let me through
But if I know you (finish what you started)
And I think I know you, baby (finish what you started)
And you can really show me if
You finish what you started
Youll come back to me
I know its gonna feel, baby
Like it used to be
So finish what you started
I will wait for you
I will wait for you (ahh)
Finish what you started
Im gonna wait for you
Finish what you started
Dont you keep me waitin (ohhh)
Finish what you started (ohhh)
Finish what you started
Youll come back to me
I know its gonna feel baby
Like it used to be
So finish what you started
I will wait for you

Four Letter 'Work' Song

Work me up, work me out, work me flip side down.
Work me here, work me there, work me with renown.
Work me hot, work me greedy,
work me through and through.
Work me to the very marrow,
work me just like I'd work you.
Work me proud, work me late,
work me do not hesitate.
Won't you let me work for you?
Work me til I'm black and blue.
Work me steady, work me needy, work me to a lather.
Work me til my backbone breaks, and the buzzards gather.
Work me in, work me under, work me til I bleed,
Work me over red hot coals, work me like a boss in need.
Work me nasty, work me silly, work me through the clover.
Up down, 'n' in between, into a slipknot sweet Jehovah.
Work me, work me, go ahead.
Work me, work me, til I'm dead.

Song -- Rondeau

Finish these langours! Oh! I'm sick
Of dying airs, I know the trick;
Long since I've learn'd to well explain
Th'unmeaning cant of fire and pain,
And see through all the senseless lies
Of burning darts from killing eyes;
I'm tir'd with this continual rout
Of bowing low and leading out.
Finish, &c.
Finish this tedious dangling trade,
By which so many fools are made;
For fools they are, whom you can please
By such affected airs as these:
At opera near my box to stand,
And slyly press the given hand,
Thus may you wait whole years in vain;
But sure you would, were you in pain.
Finish, &c.

A New Beginning

A new beginning without an end, with Christ as Lord and friend,
With older ways now left behind, when in Christ new ways I find.
New found ways to live my life, all to the praise of Jesus Christ,
This as I begin to Honor God, as a pilgrim upon the earthly sod.

Until my earthly pilgrimage ends, my path will have many bends,
As I travel down every road, on a journey to my heavenly abode.
To when I step out of this past, into a future that will forever last,
As I enter that Heavenly place, prepared for me by God’s Grace.

This life will end, be assured, even for those who know The Lord,
But, what He began shall continue, by The Spirit who lives in you.
All who have embraced the Savior, will be blessed by the Creator,
For we are promised by our Lord, that we’ll receive eternal reward.

All believers can eternally trust, the one who began the work in us,
As He holds together everything, Christ the Eternal Lord and King.
Although this work He will finish, its eternality shall never diminish,
Once we’re finished here on earth, we’ll have work of eternal worth.

He always was and will always be, so with Him we’ll reign eternally,
Although we had an earthly start, once with Him, we’ll never depart.
We’ll finish what He began down here, in a time that’s drawing near,
And once we see Christ our friend, time together shall have no end.

A Follower of Money

Starting is like completing one job,
To remark on this event is suited to heavenly conduct.

Start on a daily work, forever in work and play,
To mystically remain in a tomb of graveness.

Finish the employment when one is paid,
Hunting a world is not a barren activity.

Your voice is mellow after the job is spoken
And carried into relaxation, rather complete.

Many employers are selfish enough to destroy
The salary of an intellectual man, a follower of money.

Bosses

Ted Jones our supervisor a quiet bloke he doesn't have much to say
But he makes sure we do our work or so 'twould seem that way
For he's often with our foreman Tim and on us they keep an eye
The word from them if you keep working the time so quickly fly.

I work because I have to work though work I don't enjoy
And it's never easy cutting branches when you are way up high
It's scary on cherry picker bucket when you look towards the ground
But we must keep on working on with Tim and Ted around.

Ted to me seems a gentle sort but the system's got to him
And then of course I never could see eye to eye with Tim
For if you dare complain to Tim he'll tell you where to go to
He'll say there's plenty out of work and better men than you.

I'm slave to Southern Travel Towers of trimming trees constantly
And living stress and repetitive work has made an old man of me
And the Company Directors have Ted and Tim to make sure I earn my pay
You start from the work yard every morning and finish there each day.

If Ted Jones had his own way the job would be okay
At least he doesn't keep watching us like Tim does every day
But Tim more than makes up for him and Ted now must feel sure
That with Southern Travel Towers leading hand in charge his job must be secure.

Payment

A tortuous path of neurons arced a call: ‘Awake! ’
I did; in rising, peering, stretching, bearing,
Pained anticipation saw it all:
Foretold, another filthy day.

I drew the drape: diluvian lay the ground
Beneath a lazy leaden cloud – apissing out
The puddles; irksome on the roof –
The drumming drops of bitter glee
Were hounding out a hapless me –
Reinforcing doubt that I am sound.

I left the house
to go to work
to earn a crust
without a perk
then on to bust
another straining vessel.

Trudging on thro’ mud and clay, I pondered:
‘Why a drought of happy times?
Auspicious climes were
Old and fusty books
Atop a dusty shelf
Inside a morgue-of-a-room,
Somewhere in a long-forgotten library
Down a lane without a way.’

I thought again: ‘And still I pay.’

Work, Sleep, Work, Sleep, Work

Work, sleep, work, sleep,
Work, sleep, work, sleep,
Work, sleep, work, sleep,
Work:

Work, sleep, work, sleep,
Work, sleep, work, sleep,
Work, sleep, work, sleep,
Work.

Oh free me please with gentle ease
From work, sleep, work, sleep, work!
This odium, pounding tedium
Of my work, sleep, work, sleep, work.

Just whisk me off to lands afar
From work, sleep, work, sleep, work -
That grinding train of rhythmic pain
Called ‘Work, sleep, work, sleep, work.’

Poor neural circuits fizzle and pop
In work, sleep, work, sleep, work,
In trying to make some sense of all this
Work, sleep, work, sleep, work.

But Hark! I see a golden gleam -
A saving spirit of hope:
‘You’re fired! ’ He screams. What news to bear,
This wondrous hangman’s rope!

So now I’m free, released from all this
Work, sleep, work, sleep, work -
Eternal peace and rest for me, no
Work, sleep, work, sleep, work.

Work To Make It Work

(r palmer)
Push it along
Work work work to make it work
Push it along
Work work work to make it work
Push it along
Work work work if you want to improve it
Push it along
It's all there for you to feel it
Help your self to one that you can't deal with
Ain't no way that you could steal it
You misunderstand if you get greedy
Ah push
Work work work to make it work push it along
Work work work to make it work
Push it along
Work work work to make it work
Push it along
Work work work if you want to improve
Don't confine your dreams to bed
You'll get scared if you get lazy
If you can't take enough to satisfy yourself
Then you'll go crazy
Wont do no good thinking
You got to do it
So it don't come easy the first time
Practice makes perfect, you know that i'll try hard
Use it or lose it
You got to put your heart and soul into it
Yeaheheh
Push it along
Work work work to make it work
Push it along
Work work work if you want to move it
Push it along
Work to make it work
Push it along
Work work work if you want to improve
It's all there for you to feel it
Help your self to one that you can't deal with
Ain't no way that you could steal it
You misunderstand if you get greedy forget wishful thinking
You can do it
You just need a push to make a start
If you don't succeed the first time
Try and try again
Use it or lose it
You got to put your back into it
Work work work to make it work
Push it along
Work work work if you want to move it
Push it along
Work work work to make it work
Push it along
Work work work if you want to improve
Work work work to make it work
Push it along
Work work work if you want to move it
Push it along
Work work work to make it work
Push it along
Work work work if you want to improve

What Do We Do To Aldo Kraas?

i have poured
a bucket of cold water
to wake him up
so he can finish
his poems
that we love
to see
in full
whole

he didn't
he holds us in super suspense
our feet could have danced
all night
our hands could have touched
the world in so much
thrills and freshness

but he didn't
he caught us suspended
frozen and
almost dead to extinction

what do we do to Aldo
to finish the poems
we want to read?

i am afraid
hot waters cannot
make him finish
what ought to be

i am afraid no one
can

because Aldo is Aldo
and just like me
Ric is Ric

that is how it goes
without saying

let them be
let me be

the freedom to be
unfinished
the freedom to be
finished

and perhaps be praised
or just be scorned
