Earthquake In Haiti
The Earth of Haiti quaked,
Shook the towers of the towns,
Pulled down structures of the buildings
Big or small of the cities and villages,
Thousands of human beings buried alive,
Beneath the debris of roofs and walls,
Constructed by the human hands;
But now the survivours forgetting the deceased
Fight for food, packs of milk and edibles,
They snatch from each other the contents,
As if the contestants show their strength
In basketball, driving the ball with full vigour;
And some sit forlorn strengthless,
Waiting for their own turn.
But on the contrary,
The pioneer-kings of the countries,
Are busy in recruiting armies and making armadas,
Missiles and shells, bombs and bullets,
Nuclear and chemical weapons,
For the better future and wellbeing of mankind.

Put Your Big Toe In The Milk Of Human Kindness
Put your big toe in the milk of human kindness
Have you ever seen the like of this mankind?
If a boy or girl is cute, we simply shoot to starry heights
Any maybe, any might
But always so capricious, in the face of wonder were suspicious
And though we came from frogs and fishes
Our taste is far from fine
Put your big toe in the milk of human kindness
Put your big toe in the milk of human kindness
Have you ever seen the like of this mankind?
You take the himalayas, youll take manhattans finest mountain top
He wouldnt change his whiskey sour for any bitter crop
But always so contrary, from father christmas to the virgin mary
And though the moments of belief
Fly by before you find if youd just unhand your mind
Put your big toe in the milk of human kindness
But always so contrary, from father christmas to the virgin mary
And though the moments of belief
Fly by before you find if youd just unhand your mind
Put your big toe in the milk of human kindness

What is the only provocation that could bring about the use of nuclear weapons? Nuclear weapons. What is the priority target for nuclear weapons? Nuclear weapons. What is the only established defense against nuclear weapons? Nuclear weapons. How do we prevent the use of nuclear weapons? By threatening the use of nuclear weapons. And we can't get rid of nuclear weapons, because of nuclear weapons. The intransigence, it seems, is a function of the weapons themselves.

Insignificance
Vedder
All in all its no ones fault. excuses turn to carbon walls.
Blame it all on chemical intercourse.
The swallowed seeds of arrogance breeding in the thoughts of ten-thousand fools that fight
Irrelevance.
The full moon is dead skin. the one down heres wearing thin.
So set up the ten pins as the human tide rolls in.
Like a ball thats spinning.
Bombs dropping down overhead. on the ground.
Its instilled to want to live.
Bombs dropping down. please forgive our hometown in our insignificance.
turn the jukebox up, he said. dancing in irreverence.
Play c-3. let the song protest.
The plates began to shift. perfect lefts come rolling in.
I was alone and far away, hey. when I heard the band start playing.
On the lip they take off.
Bombs dropping down overhead. underground.
Its instilled to want to live.
Bombs dropping down. please forgive our hometown in our insignificance.
Feel like resonance of distance. in the blood the iron lies.
Its instilled to want to live.
Bombs dropping down. please forgive our hometown in our insignificance.
Oh, in our insignificance, oh.

Spread All Over The World!
Guns and bullets have spread all over the wolrd,
Homosexuals and Lesbians have spread all over the world,
Bombs and nuclear weapons have spread all over the world,
Sickness and dealdly diseases have spread all over the world!
And many do not have clean water to drink even though,
There are many rivers all over the world;
So, are we behaving better as human beings with our increased knowledge or,
Being worse than ever before in the world we live in today?

O! Poets And Men Of Letters Awake
The world is in the shadow of nuclear war
Our own neighbor chatters to use the nuclear devices
As if a thing common or a child’s play.
O! Poets and Men of Letters awake
Only and you can save the earth from the imminent doom.
The weapons are with the so-called civilized nations,
As if the guns are in the hands of monkeys,
We too have processed uranium
Enough to combat the challengers many times,
But we possess patient hearts in the chests
And minds discreet, prudent and judicious in the heads.
O! Poets and Men of Letters awake
From the slumber deep for it is a time to weep,
Use your pen and paper and moments of nights and days,
Your talents, the power of your embellished words,
Weave the stories of novels dramas, and lines of poesy
To shake the inner most part of the souls
Of the leading heads of humanity who make a trade
On human blood: the most precious gist of the universe.
O! Poets and Men of Letters awake
Infuse into them astuteness to discern the difference
Between just and unjust, between right and wrong,
Instead of making tiresome efforts to please the kings
And approving their all actions though immoral,
Write not panegyrics lest you should become accomplices
Against the crime of trampling sanctity,
And deforming magnificence of the Mother Earth.
O! Poets and Men of Letters awake
Impede the itchy fingers of the leprous hands
Lest they should press the buttons in their own craze,
If once they push the buttons, there will be a chain in reaction,
And then holocaust, extinction of biological life,
The cities, the towns, and the villages big or small,
The parks and streets, the houses and huts will become silent.
The earth will move dull drab, into spaces around the sun,
With a load of skeletons, skulls and bones,
But all purposeless like an astray stallion whose veteran
Is killed in the battle and it runs away unrestrained.

The inspections started in 1991, right after the Gulf War. One of the conditions for the ceasefire was that Iraq had to do away with all of its weapons of mass destruction - biological, chemical and nuclear weapons and long-range missiles.
Billions Billions Alive Today
Officially half of all the human beings
who have ever lived are alive today.
The entire population of all human history
an equivalent of all humans who ever lived.
Half entire human race who were ever born
are alive on earth now living on earth today.
Asia China India regionally 2.5 billion alive today
in fifty years Asian population will double triple?
In fifty years planet earth will need to produce more
food than has presently by humans ever been eaten?
Are these food figures statistics not impossible odds?
Famine pestilence war pandemics what future awaits?
Will compassion seeds flower in collective soul humanity?

The Catastrophic End
Humanity can not help making
The devilish weapons,
Each nation is running the race
Of inventing the fatal devices
For the catastrophic end,
Conventional, nuclear and chemical,
Some have attained the skill to devise
The antimatter bomb.
I know on a certain day
Some crazy so-called pioneer
Of peace will push the button
With a leprous hand,
A hail of missiles will pour down,
The earth will sustain the wounds
Of enormous, massive craters,
Smoke will engulf the planet,
Biological life will be at the verge
Of extinction, a few furious rivals
Will survive, but they will incessantly fight,
With stones, clubs, teeth and nails.
A time will encroach when two rival combatants
Will remain behind,
They will wrangle with each other,
One will be killed and the other left behind,
He will regard himself in arrogance,
The great warrior, the hero, the triumphant,
And move unaccompanied all alone,
Prolonged solitude will make him brute,
And he like a lunatic bull will smash
His head against a rock by ending himself,
No animal, no scavenger bird will be to dispose
The bodies on the lifeless face of the Earth.

The Australian Marseillaise
Sing the strong, proud song of Labour,
Toss the ringing music high;
Liberty’s a nearer neighbour
Than she was in days gone by.
Workmen’s weary wives and daughters
Sing the songs of liberty;
Men hail men across the waters,
Men reply across the sea.
We are marching on and onward
To the silver-streak of dawn,
To the dynasty of mankind
We are marching on.
Long the rich have been protected
By the walls that can’t endure;
By the walls that they erected
To divide them from the poor.
Crumbling now, they should not trust them,
For their end is drawing near;
Walls of Cant and walls of Custom,
Walls of Ignorance and Fear.
Tyrants, grip your weapons firmer,
Grip them firmly by the helves;
For the poor begin to murmur
Loudly now among themselves.
Hear us dare to say that Heaven
Gave us equal rights with you,
Dare to say the world was given
Unto all and not the few.
Tell us that the law has risen,
Make us bend beneath its sway,
Throw our leaders into prison,
Wrong us in the light of day.
Drive us to our dens, forgetting
All our woe as greed forgets,
While our weapons we are whetting
On your levelled bayonets.
Treat us like the beasts you’d make us,
Pen us close in wretched sties.
’Til our patience shall forsake us,
And like wolves we will arise.
Louder still for this shall rattle
Rifle shots, and sword blades ring
On the blood-wet fields of battle
In the days of reckoning.
We shall rise to prove us human,
Worthy of a human life,
When our starved and maddened women
Lead our armies on to strife.
When our war hymns wake the valleys,
And the rushing missiles shriek
From your barricaded alleys,
’Til your cannon cease to speak.
Then when Mammon Castle crashes
To the earth and trampled lies,
Then from out the blood and ashes
True Republics shall arise.
Then the world shall rest a season
(First since first the world began)
In the reign of right and reason
And the dynasty of man.

Wanderer
It was a taxidermal view
thousands of fawns on the lake.
Can you handle the die-off
of the whole truth?
I have nowhere to go. Genes are
turning on, turning off. Bare hands
holding the bruises.
Hungry, but cannot eat
looking at the tattoos on the back of
starving children.
I am sick these days in the midst of glory
and shame. Faithlessness is a prize
wrapped by shadows. The snakes
are climbing on the walls.
Human things, like chimps
kissing and hugging to calm down.
in memoriam of a lost tribe.
The body of a chaste god
lies buried under the debris of unholy secrets.
Homeless I wander, beneath the high sky.

Sonnet: Nukes are Satanic Evils
The nuclear arms produce great loss of life,
Destroying structures miles across, tho’ strong!
And leave behind human misery and strife,
That make generations sing woeful song.
Cities can turn incinerators soon!
Diseases kill the future populace;
The soil’s unsafe; who wants the sun or moon?
No one can heal the wounds or even dress.
A button’s press can bring the destruction!
And insane leaders threaten with their nukes;
The ill-effects can affect earth’s function;
Nukes are Satan’s ideas, born like flukes!
Who would destroy the planet made for man?
Yet, earth will go on as per divine plan!

Mother Nature She Will Survive
I feel that we live off of Mother Nature and that to Mother Nature we belong
And if we bite at the hand that feeds us then to ourselves we are doing wrong
Another war now almost certain and more huge bombs will be dropped from the sky
And Mother Nature she will suffer and some of her human children will die.
Harm we do unto others unto our own selves we do
And in these times those words are relevant and those words as ever ring true
Those who dropp bombs on distant cities a part of the Planet destroy
And the words what we do unto others to them more than any apply.
Those who order the bombings of foreign cities may think to themselves it's okay
To destroy a small part of the Planet in a Country from them far away
But we all breathe the same air and the big bombs poison and pollute
And for everyone the price is big when Nature we persecute.
To Mother Nature who feeds us all, mankind cause much offence
And that we damage her by bombing her makes very little sense
And another war is looming if we believe all we hear
But Mother Nature she will survive though mankind may disappear.

The Happiness
There's a happiness, a joy
in one soul, that's been
buried alive in everyone
and forgotten.
It isn't your barroom joke
or tender, intimate humor
or affections of friendliness
or big, bright pun.
They're the surviving survivors
of what happened when happiness
was buried alive, when
it no longer looked out
of today's eyes, and doesn't
even manifest when one
of us dies, we just walk away
from everything, alone
with what's left of us,
going on being human beings
without being human,
without that happiness.

War Path
So many of my brothers and sisters are traveling this road
What’s expected is really unknown.
Death and destruction all around
Gunfire is the only sound.
War is really a living hell
Especially when you find out
Your best friend fell.
Innocent children sitting in the debris
Asking “ what’s going to happen to me? ’
We have the technology to send people into space
What’s going on with the human race?
There is fear etched on every child s face.
Why don’t we use the brains that we’ve been given
To find peace and keep on living.
Wars have been going on since the beginning of man
Why can’t we search for peace?
What’s to understand!
There are insects and bugs, such as ants and bees
Who is in charge by their queen.
They have armies which they control
And they’re used to maintain their environment
In which they live, and do not use them for war.
So why can’t we follow their lead and settle our scores.
We kill other human beings to feel alive
Animals kill just to survive.
We say that they are the animals
So I guess we must be the beast
For on others miseries we do feast.
We fight for land, and we fight for power
Then what will happen in our final hours
Will we fight the temptation
to beg for our salvation.

This Sad Dam
The dam is dried up and there is no water for us,
But how cam our tears flow down to fill this dam?
For the laws of mankind hangs on our necks always and,
Who will help this sad dam?
Human errors and nuclear weapons!
The first day is a working day and i need your help;
So dropp down the weapons of war and let us save this dam.
Now, get the facts straight!
It started with Eve and it is now all around us;
And the human laws have affected the water of this dam;
And now we have no water to drink from it.
This sad dam,
And of the wrtiters and the readers who came around it;
But the sayings of the hidden code of love is what we need,
Because water is really life for us all!

Help Haitians Now!
In just a few minutes of time,
The whole landscape was gone,
Undone by Mother Nature’s fury – Quake!
And no one ever imagined,
Catastrophe would strike,
Without fore-warning signs any that day!
The land was shaken severely;
Most buildings turned rubble,
With lakhs dead; maimed or missing; some still trapped.
The place was thrown in darkness fast;
Survivors took to streets;
Some groans and muffled cries for help are heard!
The world knew what had happened soon;
Relief trickled in late;
But no one can be truly blamed for it!
Concrete structures too had come down!
Utter chaos prevails;
The locals tried to save some lives, they could.
Why Haiti shook, no one can tell?
The victims need our love,
Consolation, help and care and prayers.
Can aid efforts be streamlined fast?
Will leaders work a deal?
Survivors need food, clothes and medicines!
There are some trapped and still alive;
There some dying fast;
Some are suffering agonizing pain!
The world can stall its scheduled plans;
Helping victims is prime;
Unite efforts to save unlucky lives!
O world! Act now and rather fast;
Time precious is ebbing;
Search the rubble; rescue lives that you can!
Pray God relents and showers grace;
Pray things get cleared out fast;
This is a test for faith and human love!
Be charitable, generous;
Show love for neighbors all;
Today ’tis Haiti; morrow could choose us!

100 degree C
Fire, fire, fire
The earth is burning
No spring, no autumn, no snowfall,
No green leaves
My forest, my trees, my bamboos,
My flowers,
Crying in the midnight
Winter becomes summer
Summer become lava
Lava becomes human
My clouds, my rain, my ponds,
My rivers, my lakes, my oceans,
Each looks like the sand of desert
Buildings are high
Furniture is beautiful
Nuclear weapons are pretty
But the morning dews never fall down
The sky is start burning
My trees getting vaporizing
They make me boil
Human beings make me fire
If I stop cry today
Everything will disappear tomorrow
Don’t let you keep me at 100 degree C
Kind for tomorrow
Kind for your souls!

A Dialogue With The Man Of New Century
O! Modern man
Of the new century,
Resting in my back bone,
Waiting anxious,
For the moment of creation.
I know,
In exultation to become a flower
From the seed,
Your tiny feet are restless;
To touch the terrestrial planet of the Earth,
But you wait a little,
Stay in the very tavern of creation.
On the creasy existence,
Of this old Mother Earth,
The environ of life
Is not yet congenial.
Sense of hearing
Is becoming infertile,
On being lavished
The words of disgrace;
And thousands of un-reflected facts
Of life are perturbed
To encounter truth for themselves.
Though there is a boundless pleasure
In your graceful creation,
From my own blood
And essence of bones,
Yet I wish lest you should step
Into such a home,
Flowers of which that blossom
In you own lawn you do not have
The right to claim your own.
Would you like, your mother
Deprived of medical
And nutritious facilities
During the painful process
Of you birth, at the sill
Of a very expensive hospital,
Collecting in the life blessing lips
All unripe kisses,
Of your share may die panting
Tossing and unattended.
O! God protect us,
Lips of the life imparting hospitals,
Are yet locked and all angles
Employed on security
Of the breathing fellows are on strike,
For the more privileges,
But unaware of felicity of the holiday,
The Angle of Death
Is busy in picking up the yellow flowers,
From the mustard farms,
With his death acquainted hands.
Who should tell him that all over the world,
No one works more than eight hours.
Life is being ground
Amid mill-stones of the overtime.
O! My child, though attraction
Of the Earth is pleasing,
Yet in the infertile yard of the school
Seeding of the new flowers
Is forbidden;
And childhood of most of the children,
Is passing with
Hunger
Illness
Ignorance
Shelterless ness
Starvation
And playing with toys of war.
Your future has been mortgaged,
In the lockers of IMF.
Will you sell water in the buses,
Or polish shoes on the paths,
Instead of resting
In the blossoming spring
Of the lap of your motherhood?
Will you like to be branded like me
Indebted by birth,
For the loan which was never spent on me?
If luckily you are born alive,
From the exterminating womb
Of your mother,
There is the possibility
That police might arrest you
Without warrants;
Or murder you in a fictitious encounter,
And eyes on the spot of occurrence
May shut their lids tight,
At last who will wish to eat
The steaks of his own tongue.
O! Man of the new century,
The atmosphere is yet replete with
Prejudice and stink of explosives;
The air is not worth-breathing.
In such a season as this is
It is impossible to blossom
The fresh roses of your thoughts.
Calls from the mosques,
With the help of damned speakers,
Are engaged in the war of sounds,
To let the rival down;
And on the cities
The plague of pollution is descending.
Tummy-touching servile tongues,
Are protesting against the dish-antenna;
The matters against war,
Poverty,
Hatred,
Illness,
Ignorance,
And exploitation,
Have not yet been included in priorities.
More than half of the world,
Is self-dependent
In production of children
And the remaining half in explosives;
The compelled decrepit refugees,
Carrying on their heads the packs of homesickness,
Are waiting for their return.
Tarry awhile!
The mother Earth has apologized,
To carry the weight of more human beings.
Future of the earth
Is not yet secure
In the hands of human beings,
For equal right of all inhabitants
On sources of the universe,
Has not been yet recognized.
On sudden breakage
Of one side of the scale of strength,
The lender of the world,
Is selling with half scales
To the beggar-like customers,
Commodity of the New World Order,
On the price of self offered terms;
And in consequence of fear and rumble
Of nuclear explosions,
The Earth went through an abortion;
And now in the womb of infertile soil,
Only radiation breathes.
Listen!
The future of man on the Earth
Is yet uncertain, and he did not learn
How to prefer life to death;
The armies not yet prepared to surrender
Their preeminence,
And the mother of the martyred
Residing in the neighbourhood
Is not willing to concede “wars are not sacred”.
Man is not yet prepared
To give priority the problems of war,
And survival of the Earth in the agendas.
Armies are yet busy day and night
In preparation of waging such a war
As perchance there will be no one to determine,
The Conqueror or the conquered,
Once its bugle is sounded.
The wish for peace is smouldering,
Amid the half burnt cigarettes in the ashtray,
Lying on the table of the dialogue.
My babe!
Impede your impatient soul traveling to the earth,
Overpowered by a thrill of creation;
Lest in the journey between the backbone,
And shelter of your mother’s womb,
Your desire to materialize should turn into nothing;
And you could demand from no one
Compensation of your blood.
Stay!
First we should decide that peace,
Food,
Education,
Freedom,
Happiness,
And on the hygienic environment,
Either all have equal right or no one.
Stay friend!
I to get a guarantee of life
And survival of the earth have submitted,
An entreaty across the seas,
And your being or not being,
Is conditional with acceptance
Or rejection of the appeal.
Though your impatience to emerge,
Is justified yet I can not greet you abasing
On the heap of ammunition;
I do not like that after descending
Your chariot on the Earth
You could not avail yourself,
The chance to cut,
The cake of the first birthday.
