Faustus
The spell was broken. All that evil lay in shards
on the floor: unseasonable scarves
shed, unruly, along the backs of furnitures
Once-fiery little stones cooled and quenched underwater
each incantation unsung, each
dance undanced as if they'd never been
danced and sung. Exhortations
into the river flung
while on the banks the reeds
hiss-dress and kiss like departing lovers. Va!
Bards, dear, are not to be taken so easily.
Goodness has finally won
at the cost of so much sweat and candle-sheen;
from this known cosmos everywhere withdrawn
the keening demons of yore-never to return.
Never? Then why that path of stars
sowed, conveniently, to guide back tired feet-
those wailing demons that disdain defeat.

Incantation, (oo-oo-oo)

If ya ever meet the sweet rolling thunder
(flying on the dead of the night)
Just call me if ya cant get his number
(watching how that rattle snake bites)
All hes got is real understanding,
Smokin through his medicine head.
Watch him get down to the unreal voodoo
And shove it to the living dead.
Incantation, (oo-oo-oo)

Whats happenin, found his face in a bad dream, momma?
(flying on the dead of the night)
I woke up and then I let out a bad scream, ooh!
(watching how that rattle snake bites)
Rolling thunder said, ya got this one started
What happened there, did the kid get high, high?
All the dog soldiers shootin uncoke-a-cola
Get em dancin til they lose their minds.

Underwater
You and I,
Are here, underwater
Seconds are so dear, underwater
Searching for a light, to draw me closer
I hold my breath in tight, bring me closer
I feel your touch, will you pull me up again?
It's not so bad down here, underwater
Once you get past the fear, underwater
Since you through the haze, it's like a memory
I've been down here for days, have you seen me?
I feel your touch, will you pull me up again?
It's all the same for me, underwater
There's nothing much to see, underwater
I cannot make a sound, but I can listen
I can't tell up from down, now I'm listenin'
I feel your touch, will you pull me up again?
You're just in sight, will you save my life again?
You and I are here, underwater

My New Look
My heart just melted on the floor,
I know I can’t have you anymore,
I have no more feelings to feel bad,
I have no more emotions
to make me jealous, angry and sad.
Now all my senses are so real,
The Ice spell is broken so that I can feel.
Now that I’m not evil anymore,
I’ve changed my look for you to adore…
Yes the spell is broken I see my fate,
I have a new look on my fashion plate.
You wouldn’t recognize me as of late.
For my hair and eyes are no longer dark,
I’m just like Mel with her beauty mark.
My mark is not for freezing anymore,
Just wait for my new book to see what’s in store.
The End

Underwater
It's in her head, it's in her mind.
She can't believe it,
Can't believe she's running out of time.
And any hold that she can find.
Something to lean on.
Everybody fails her half the time.
Nothing to be,
She's already been
Oh, in plenty of time.
Plenty of time...
Plenty of time...
She lights her candle, six A.M.
Starting a new one.
Every new one hits her just the same.
Just like clock work,
She climbs down into her bottle.
Yeah, and no one down there cares to know her name.
She's underwater, nowhere now.
She's underwater, upside down.
The rising tide won't find her now.
She's lost and found.
Underwater...
She's underwater.
She's underwater, but she won't drown.
She can't believe it,
And everyone she meets feels just the same.
It takes all day to get to tonight.
What makes the sunset,
And what makes it go back to where it came?
Nothing to be.
She's already been
In plenty of time.
Plenty of time...
Plenty of time...
She's underwater, nowhere now.
She's underwater, upside down.
The rising tide won't find her now.
She's lost and found.
Now she's upside down.
Now she's six feet down.
Underwater...
Underwater...
Underwater...

Drown
Drown, drown
Drown, drown
Drown, drown, suffocating no air, underwater no air
Drown, drown, suffocating no air, underwater no air
And you know that I need you
So give me something I can do
But you just take and rip away, until its over
Ive been waiting for so long
Finally found out what went wrong
Listen closely and you will hear, that it is over, right now
She ties you down, down, down, down, down, down, down
Wasted!!
You made me love you
Drown, drown, suffocating no air, underwater no air
Drown, drown, suffocating no air, underwater no air
Lie your head down thoughts consume
On a blanket in your room
Wraps into fire and comes so clear
Face head over
Drifting out, out into sea
Looking glass, cleared for me
Glancing slowly for some room
To bang a nail solidly through
Its all over cant you see
Ive given you all of me
So scratch until you dig away, all of the venom from your vein
I cant help you, cant you see, that it is over
Dont you know its over, dont you know its over
Drown, drown, suffocating no air, underwater no air
Drown, drown, suffocating no air, underwater no air
Drown, drown, suffocating no air, underwater no air
Drown, drown, suffocating no air, underwater no air
Sacrifice my soul to you
Disappearing in thin air

Broken
Broken,
Like a thousand shards of glass,
Bloody on the floor.
Still here,
Too afraid to walk out the door.
The hands that used to caress
Now inflict pain and suppress.
No love is left.
Broken,
Tattered, torn and scarred,
What once was love
Is now battered, bruised and marred.

The Piece Just Under The Top Right Corner
I was 'Shattered' I'm the mirror
There's broken pieces everywhere
I'm just shards now
I hold onto these shards with my hand and grip them tightly
I want to re-make myself But I won't use the ugly shards I'll grip them tighter
Let them sink into my skin
The problem
Is the paradox of me picking up myself while I'm broken
It just doesn't work
But then You came
But then You came and asked me to let go of the pieces
For all to see
The ugliness hidden deep inside of me
I'd never have let go for anyone but You
You'd offered me this chance many times too
But for some reason this time I just let go
Instead of trying to make myself into something I just let go and let You
And now my broken shards we're the pieces just under the top
The top right corner
We're.... I'm whole, and my once-makeshift shard
Has been made by the master
Into a part of the masterpiece that is Your kingdom
I'm just a piece but You saw the whole picture since the beginning
Now I'm proud to be there for all to see
But You aren't done with Your work in me
Or in this world
So now my brokenness is a beautiful mosaic of hope
A beautiful mosaic of love
All the broken pieces
Make a picture of something like a cross
To remind us that sin has no power
The sting of death is gone
So I'm just under the top right corner
But I need to gather some more pieces to make the corner
Not that it is I but You, my Lord
It's time to go out and show the world that brokenness
Brokenness healed through God's power
That's beautiful

The Fire That Burns
A surge is welling up inside me,
I feel a fire,
and it burns.
I write,
and the fire is cooled.
I teach,
and the fire is cooled.
A knot is tied up inside me,
I have to undo it,
help me, Lord.
I compose,
and the fire is cooled.
I profess,
and the fire is cooled.
This feeling I have,
the fire that is burning me,
it is a passion,
a passion for Jesus.

The Leaking Roof....
there is no use
repairing the leak of the roof
of this
house
it is raining
let it rain
let the water wet this floor
and the furniture
let us wait when will this dark night
end
when this heavy rain shall stop
on the same leak
we shall see the light that falls
on those wet floors
and furniture
it will show us the truth
and shall guide us
what to do next

Alzuna
The forest of Alzuna hides a pool.
Beside that pool, a shadowy tree up-towers.
High on that tree, a bough most beautiful
Bends with the fragrant burden of its flowers.
Among those flowers a nest is buried deep.
Warm in that nest, there lies a freckled shell.
Packed in that shell, a bird is fast asleep.
This is the incantation and the spell.
For, when the north wind blows, the bird will cry,
“Warm in my freckled shell, I lie asleep.
The freckled shell is in the nest on high.
The nest among the flowers is buried deep.
The flowers are on a bough most beautiful.
The bough is on a tree no axe can fell.
The sky is at its feet in yonder pool.
This is the incantation and the spell!”

Broken Glasses (2)
It's all broken glasses falling on the floor
Piece by piece breaking even more
One becoming two with each and every blow
A tree of glasses will never grow
Broken glasses on the floor
A million pieces becoming more
Each piece alone starts to shine
As though each one were becoming alive
A million pieces lie on the floor
Broken glasses broken to the core
They make me cry with their silence alone
As though they believe that all hope is gone
And the light that shines on the edge of a piece
Is like an un-witnessed tear of the pain unseen
As though when the pieces stop falling
All the glasses stop fighting
And chose to shine no more
Broken glasses falling on the floor
What can I say what have I more
Broken glasses I adore
Like a silent heart beat being ignored
Broken glasses are alive
Broken glasses are the life
Of a character broken deep inside

Steps On The Road!
capitalism...
has ridden the backs
of the working poor,
both here, and
around the world...
till these backs are broken!
now these backs have faces,
and the faces have names.
we can no longer allow
the few to own the many...
the time of economic slavery
is over! it is finished!
dignity, respect,
and equality....
these are the steps
on the road to tomorrow,
a tomorrow based and
founded on freedom!

that we are well qualified to represent the lbc

spreads her lovin' all over and then there's none left for me

Rumors, Lies and Infernal Spies
Damned ARE the Evil-
That cast their spells (hex)
To a fiery grave they are bound-
Destinataion-Earthen Hell;
Some often times refer to it-
As the River Styx-
Where all condemned when dying-
Enter into Hell and the Rivers fiery mix;
Evil comes in all shapes and sizes-
Witches come in all styles -
Absolute wickedness 'tis recognized..-
Oft' times in words of bitter bile;
Clinching for all who NEED: 'To Know'
The accurate count and details..-
Where Evil grows and God-He knows-
Quenches the victims of the spells travail;
Much suffering has already been spent...! ! !
To wit and his viscious spark..-
Still inflict with their sharpest blows-
From deep in their Infernal Dark;

Just a write about the evil that some
Still practice in this (civilized?) world.

Uncle Jack
Are you ready for suicide?
Let me run a razor across your throat
You took a child for a ride
Led them down a long and shameful road
It rips my heart out to see you livin
You gave them money in exchange for pain
Youre the monster in the closet
Theyll take your secrets with them to their graves
Locked you away behind cast iron doors
Rather see you dead on the floor
I hope that youre feeling so much pain now
Uncle jack
Can you hear them still screamin?
Broken hearts, broken dreams
Uncle jack
Is your evil still creepin?
Never comin back here again
What were you thinkin, are you human?
Took their innocence and made them slaves
You want forgiveness, youre so sorry
Id rather put you in an unmarked grave
Locked you away behind cast iron doors
Rather see you dead on the floor
I hope that youre feeling so much pain now
Uncle jack
Cant you see them still bleedin?
Broken hearts, broken dreams
Uncle jack
Tell me how are you sleepin
Never comin back here again
Uncle jack
Cant you hear them still screamin?
Broken hearts, broken dreams
Uncle jack
Is your evil still creepin?
Why? tell me why

The Shearers Dream
O I dreamt I shore in a shearing shed and it was a dream of joy
For every one of the rouseabouts was a girl dressed up as a boy
Dressed up like a page in a pantomime the prettiest ever seen
They had flaxen hair they had coal black hair and every shade between
There was short plump girls there was tall slim girls and the handsomest ever seen
They was four foot five they was six foot high and every shade between
The shed was cooled by electric fans that was over every shoot
The pens was of polished mahogany and everything else to suit
The huts had springs to the mattresses and the tucker was simply grand
And every night by the billabong we danced to a German band
Our pay was the wool on the jumbucks' backs so we shore till all was blue
The sheep was washed afore they was shore and the rams were scented too
And we all of us cried when the shed cut out in spite of the long hot days
For every hour them girls waltzed in with whisky and beer on trays
There was three of them girls to every chap and as jealous as they could be
There was three of them girls to every chap and six of them picked on me
We was drafting them out for the homeward track and sharing them round like steam
When I woke with my head in the blazing sun to find it a shearer's dream

Poem (‘It Doesn’t Look Like A Finger...’)
It doesn’t look like a finger it looks like a feather of broken glass
It doesn’t look like something to eat it looks like something eaten
It doesn’t look like an empty chair it looks like an old woman
searching in a heap of stones
It doesn’t look like a heap of stones it looks like an estuary where
the drifting filth is swept to and fro on the tide
It doesn’t look like a finger it looks like a feather with broken teeth
The spaces between the stones are made of stone
It doesn’t look like a revolver it looks like a convolvulus
It doesn’t look like a living convolvulus it looks like a dead one
KEEP YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF MY FRIENDS USE THEM ON
YOUR BITCHES OR
YOURSELVES BUT KEEP THEM OFF MY FRIENDS
The faces between the stones are made of bone
It doesn’t look like an eye it looks like a bowl of rotten fruit
It doesn’t look like my mother in the garden it looks like my father
when he came up from the sea covered in shells and tangle
It doesn’t look like a feather it looks like a finger with broken wings
It doesn’t look like the old woman’s mouth it looks like a handful
of broken feathers or a revolver buried in cinders
The faces beneath the stones are made of stone
It doesn’t look like a broken cup it looks like a cut lip
It doesn’t look like yours it looks like mine
BUT IT IS YOURS NOW
SOON IT WILL LOOK LIKE YOURS
AND ANYTHING YOU SEE WILL BE USED AGAINST YOU
