It is the greatest thrilling event
of our country,
The whole world may not take it seriously
But we take it,
All the activities come to standstill
Office, schools, business centres
Wear deserted look
People go crazy,
They forget everything in the storm of the event
Money flows like water and people are
Oblivious of the fact that three fourth of
Our population is still deprived of
The basic requirements of their life.
I can't understand why these people don't show
The same madness for the eradication of Poverty, corruption, illeteracy, and communalism,
They make so much hue and cry,
Their faces down cast,
when India suffers a defeat.
These elements also cause the country a massive defeat
But their same tongues turn mum
And they take everything as it is
This is not the sign of patriotism,
This is the sign of selfishness.
It shows that we are politically and socially immature,
If we can't show show our wrath at poverty, corruption, communalism and
illiteracy,
We are the most selfish men on the earth.

Theres no business like show business like no business I know
Everything about it is appealing, everything that traffic will allow
Nowhere could you get that happy feeling when you are stealing that extra bow
Theres no people like show people, they smile when they are low
Even with a turkey that you know will fold, you may be stranded out in the cold
Still you wouldnt change it for a sack of gold, lets go on with the show
The butcher, the baker, the grocer, the clerk
Are secretly unhappy men because

What the nation needs is unity
and people's will to fight all foes;
What the world lacks is amity
Of countries, and solving woes!
Terrorism is a war on-going,

The people’s struggle against corruption
The non-violent war against corruption
The revolution making all money, white
The struggle by the people, for the people
The new awakening of a modern India.
The giant step to cleanse mal-functioning systems
The call to make India truly progressive
The need to make workable laws

To Remember
To remember those people who risked their lives
To show appreciation, to show we care
To save our country, they gave their lives
For their families it was like a dreaded nightmare
To support those soldiers and wear a poppy
To give some money, and not be soppy
To wear a poppy and remember that first day poppies grew, that one day it was sunny
Do you remember why
Why we wear a poppy for a couple of days
To show we remember and to show our gratitude is high
To do that, doesn’t pay
So to remember
To be silent
For a couple of minutes
Doesn’t pay
It just shows gratitude
For that one sad day
None More Selfish Than I
Some humans are such selfish creatures and none more selfish than I
The World revolves around me and praise of self I do enjoy
Some call it self survival or call it what you may
And meanwhile people dying of hunger every day.
I've never known what it feels like to be hungry or known of hunger pain
Yet of my poor existence I often do complain
So many poor and oppressed people would envy one like me
It surely can be a relative thing when one talks of poverty.
I meet so many selfish people who for themselves only care
Of the sufferings of others they don't even seem to care
As well as self centred they are ignorant and without thinking they say
That poverty is self inflicted in the World of today.
I may be a selfish bugger but in that I'm not alone
And I am one not without sin so I can't cast the stone
I feel that the World revolves around me how selfish can one be
And only the best of people are blessed with the gift of empathy.

It's very simple. If the American people care about a lot of things including corruption in government, then, in fact, if you use the power to appoint in order to do political business, to clear fields, to save your party money and so on, if it's not a crime - and I believe it is - it certainly is business as usual, politics of corruption.

Where and when does freedom really come?
I am just a normal guy
who wants to make a living
and I went to university to study
but what is the value of it now?
My country has been given away
and Afrikaner businessmen go along pliable,
with suppressing laws
as if they are not in the highest positions.
Still I have got to pay tax
and my people are brutally murdered
on farmsteads and in the cities,
and even from before Dingaan
it is the story of this country.

It’s the 21st century
The media displays it day and night,
Poverty.
Poverty across the globe lies
Poverty cries out from the belly of little boys
Little girls, parents too
Desperately searching for food,
Shelter, clothing, for love,
Companion, for attention
Those with plenty, refuse
To amend, a world haunted by
Poverty.
Is poverty affecting the rich?
Are their poverty the same
As the poor in financial constrains?

Power tends to corrupt

Inequalities in the world
So much corruption,
so much hurt,
so much pain going on in the world,
so many people are treated unequally,
they haven't heard of equality,
they're exploited for everything they have a way of living from,
and we see the poverty infront of our eyes,
but it seems however hard we try,
it's always worse than before,
all these bloodthirsty wars,
pulverising our morals,
corrupting our purified souls,
grinding away at our faith,
discrimination progressing,
slowly generates hate,
predjudice blossoming angrilly on a dead tree,
so many people,
so many lives,
so many children are blatantly deprived,
so much greed,
so much is unfair,
we need to pull together for their welfare,
so many families struggling to survive,
all of these people have difficult lives,
yet we're complaining about working from nine till five,
if we swapped lives,
we wouldn't survive,
so why don't we realise,
that they're so many people,
so much of them are deprived?
We need to work together,
work as a team,
we can make this better,
we can make the world gleam.
