The marks of sorrow
The marks of sorrow
Scar the faceless sky
Each cloud a wound
Each wound a sign
Of things no more
Quivering up in lines
Countenance shades
The Moon impaled
On blades

Wound
a wound will always
be a wound.
a scar may come
to say you are healed
but soon it will
remember the wound.
perhaps you have not
loved enough
to learn from those
whose hearts
are broken, they
say: forgive and forget.

Flesh Wound
We flew over miles of ocean--be prepared.
I don't have the faintest notion who'll be there.
You underestimated; nobody sympathized.
I think you'll soon feel better once we get inside.
I see the door is open -- Why don't we walk right in?
Let's put our party hats on and let the fun begin!
We should have called and said that we were on our way;
Who would have ever guessed that you'd be so unreachable?
Just another flesh wound--another thorn in my side
Just another flesh wound--another wonder-cure that you tried
Just another flesh wound--another scratch on your hide
Just another flesh wound--another irritation you abide
You know the rumour's going that he was synthesized.
And if we had to dress, I wouldn't be surprised.
I say -- you're so outrageous -- you'll go to number one!
They'll have us both arrested for having too much fun.
Just another flesh wound--another scratch on your hide.
Just another flesh wound--another thorn in your side.
Just another flesh wound--another bruise on your pride.
Just another flesh wound--another paranoia that you hide.
And when she held her nose, she took an underdose.
It was nice to see her completely comatose.
You go first, you're completely debonair;
Let's go dutch -- it's only fair.
Just another flesh wound--another thorn in your side.
Just another flesh wound--a minor injury you dignified.
Just another flesh wound--another unsuccessful suicide.
Just another flesh wound--another curse that you ride.

The sorrow for the dead is the only sorrow from which we refuse to be divorced. Every other wound we seek to heal - every other affliction to forget: but this wound we consider it a duty to keep open - this affliction we cherish and brood over in solitude.

I could not forget..............
Sorrow laid by me all nights along
his tears were flowing all along
He cried all nights and never depart
Cause me pain in my heart
I asked him to leave me for a night
but he refused and hold me tight
Sorrow told me he feels so sad
for me cause i treat myself so bad
I told him not to do what he do
because i will never let my love go
Sorrow surprised for my speech
cause he thought he could be the leech
to the deep wound that inside
the heart of me and i denied
But sorry, I could not forget
the one i loved once and get
So leave me sorrow for loving him
Cause no one could ever be like him
About the wound believe me i can endure
because i will do my best to get back its cure

When It Was Over, You Did Not Tell Me Where It Really Ended
you show me a scar
in your heart,
you assure yourself it was once the wound
of things that ended
years ago
of the wound
that i inflicted
you had anger and
now when we meet again
you are smiling
you now
have happiness beside him and your children
i look deeper inside your eyes
showing you also my scars
in my own way of telling you about
my loneliness for years
accumulating like layers of mud and
rocks
this loneliness
that never ends like doors that always open
to the night skies
without stars
on the surface of my skin
lies a wound that never heals
you caused it too
but i did not tell you
let them believe that i am the guilty party
the fault of your earth
the murderer convicted but was never heard
i smile at you this day
i am happy on this casual meeting
it will be the last
i am dressed but i am not prepared to go anywhere
on the surface
how can you see what is on this deep
sinking eyes?
the sharks, the pointed rock, the deaths on the ocean floors
the corpses there rotting
unearthed unnamed.

Moon!
I only fly to carve a scar,
to mark your name on moon's surface,
this pain herein my heart so marred,
comes from a love I can't retrace
oh fleeting thought, your face within,
casts me in awe of foul dismay,
a lost puzzle in burgundy,
false reality in portray
the distant moon which seems to cry
in our precious 'valse de la lune',
when only for you so stain I,
the tender countenance of the moon
as these heavy wings soar sn high,
shape the moon face into yours
as sharp as blades that these wings are,
tainting the sky with my remorse
your only face I save in mind,
yet hold me in cold and decay,
you leave your trace along with stars,
behind the eclipstical play
from then on I begin to hate,
the way the moon shines more than you,
from then on I dream to impale,
the light the moon cast upon you

Nucleus
How can you take away the nucleus
and expect everything outside of it
to stay mended together with strength?
A family is held together by a bandage.
You take away the bandage and you got a wound.
Sometimes a wound can heal on its own
and sometimes it can get infected or never heal.
I've seen it all before, the bandages go away
and then the wound that is left attacks itself.
The skin, the blood, the puss, and all the cells
that were once held together by one bandage
turn on itself and then it all melts as if touched by acid.
I don't think that will happen to our wound.
I think we'll all band together and form a new bandage.
It might not be one person holding it all together,
but it will be all of us coming together
like hospital staff to make sure we don't die of an infection.

A wound never heals so well that the scar cannot be seen.
Tracing My Steps
I'm back from insanity.
I'm back to being sane.
What I'm wishing
is that it can remain.
I don't know
and I can't say
if what I'm feeling
can ever stay.
For in my body
there's a wound.
It's like a piano
that needs to be tuned.
It doesn't leave
an outward sign,
not a scar,
not a line
that anyone
can ever see
except for you
if you see me.
But I will try
to hide it well
so no one else
can ever tell.
I must pray every day
and make a vow
to keep my feelings
inside somehow.
Please God
make me strong.
Help me try
to get along
without him.

Even if the wound is healed, the scar of it remains.
Lie Still, Sleep Becalmed
Lie still, sleep becalmed, sufferer with the wound
In the throat, burning and turning. All night afloat
On the silent sea we have heard the sound
That came from the wound wrapped in the salt sheet.
Under the mile off moon we trembled listening
To the sea sound flowing like blood from the loud wound
And when the salt sheet broke in a storm of singing
The voices of all the drowned swam on the wind.
Open a pathway through the slow sad sail,
Throw wide to the wind the gates of the wandering boat
For my voyage to begin to the end of my wound,
We heard the sea sound sing, we saw the salt sheet tell.
Lie still, sleep becalmed, hide the mouth in the throat,
Or we shall obey, and ride with you through the drowned.

“Faithful Trust”
There’s nothing to offer to those ignoble vows
But a long wail of dejection if this heart allows
Trust has come to open the wound
Averment carries no word for word
The misguided mind has become the guard
Trust has come to open the wound
A solemn promise’s been made to none
With faithlessness it is believed to have gone
Trust has come to open the wound
The wound that's trapped into bleeding emotion
To heal the pain it drinks the potion
Then trust has gone with its faithful notion
And everything fades with that true devotion.

Impromptu
Keep away from sharp swords
Don't go near a lovely woman.
A sharp sword too close will wound your hand;
Woman's beauty too close will wound your life!
The danger of the road is not in the distance;
Ten yards is far enough to break a wheel.
The peril of love is not in loving too often;
A single evening can leave its wound in the soul.

I Miss You Too
today, something is broken,
the pieces shattering all over the floor
a drinking glass just fell
my feet are cautious, getting too defensive on those
which can possibly hurt, and so is my heart,
too numb in fact, but still feels
wanting to at least beat and show that it also knows how to survive
a wound graduating into a full scar,
there are no little things here that remind me of you,
your photo with your dedication and signature
had long been burned,
i burned it
alone,
when the wound was still fresh
when pain was yet a jumping frog,
this time however, the rain comes unexpectedly,
something unpredicted by the
weather bureau
i am looking for a black umbrella
this i remember only when it rains
something so important in my life
one that does not want to get wet
and feel the cold
and the dampness of my existence,
and i remember you beside me
there was that rain and we were so
warm and close and
true, oh, yes, i hate to admit this
i still miss you.

Little Toy Soldier
Once upon a time there was a toy soldier and he lived in the play room
Once upon a time there was a toy soldier with a whip lash in his hand
And every night little girl sadie would take all her clothes off and wind up the toy soldier and he raised his whip and said
On your knees little sadie
Little sadie on your knees
Taste the whip and love might given likely
Taste the whip and bleed for me
Little sadie loved her little toy soldier
And she run home from school each day
Little sadie loved her little toy soldier
And she locked her door so she could play
Little sadie got ambitious
And wound the clockworks so to tighter
So he could whip her harder and harder
On your knees little sadie
Little sadie on your knees
Taste the whip and love might given likely
Taste the whip and bleed for me
One day sadie wound and wound
And wound and wound
And wound and wound
Til suddenly the little toy soldier spring, went. . .
(ugly, beat her to death)
Ahhhh
Cough, cough, cough

Set Me Up
Well a thing was said to me
Times your enemy
It may heal a wound, but it wont hide a scar
And the only thing to do
Is to yourself be true
cause a head thats in the clouds wont see the stars
When I was young I never walked away
Id nail my colours to the wall
Though black and white soon turned to shades of grey
There is one thing that I really know for sure
Nobodys gonna set me up
Nobodys gonna set me up
Theres a bitterness in you
cause all you ever do
Is to drag your spirit screaming to the floor
But you gotta make your luck
Before your time is up
And they take you in your box out through the door
But Im not saying I dont care at all
Id rescue you before you drown
But if behind my back they start to talk
Im a tougher kind of man this time around
Nobodys gonna set me up
Nobodys gonna set me up
When you look back and see what you have done
Well was it really that much fun
To laugh and kick the fallen ones
Gonna grow another skin
This ones getting thin
Ive been bitten twice but never lost my nerve
Well you gotta hide the hurt
When people dish the dirt
cause if you dont try nothing thats what you deserve
There are people with their eyes of green
Smiling when you take a fall
Maybe a friend or someone never seen
But even with my back against the wall
Nobodys gonna set me up
Nobodys gonna set me up
People said to me
Times your enemy
It may heal a wound, but it wont hide a scar
Nobodys gonna set me up
Nobodys gonna set me up
And the only thing to do
Is to yourself be true
cause a head thats in the clouds wont see the stars

There is something beautiful about all scars of whatever nature. A scar means the hurt is over, the wound is closed and healed, done with.
