Picaro grew smaller and smaller
The hurdles grew taller and taller
Satyros tragos peeled off his skin
Piled up reality up to his chin
Now swim through the dim
Oceans of blue heart
Butterfly style make it an art

Lies About Tall Guys
Just seems like it’s that way to me
Taller guys seem to get executive jobs
Shorter guys work mostly as clerks
Taller guys never seem to be slobs
Shorter guys always seem to be jerks
Taller guys seem to get all of the action
Shorter guys seem to be quite invisible
Taller guys always seem to deserve satisfaction
Shorter guys are lonely and miserable
Just seems like it’s that way to me
Taller guys just seem born to play sports
Shorter guys kinda seem to like tennis
Taller guys certainly look better in shorts
Shorter guys look like Dennis the Menace
Taller guys are usually at the top of their class
Shorter guys seem to fail quite a lot
Taller guys always seem to kick ass
Shorter guys want to, but simply cannot
sure seems like it’s that way to me
Taller guys get better grades and such
Shorter guys seem to barely scrape by
Taller guys seem to do better, pretty much
Shorter guys always wonder why
Taller guys seem to have eyes like a hawk
Shorter guys seem to wear glasses a lot
Taller guys cover more ground when they walk
Shorter guys, to keep up, have to trot
Sure seems like it’s that way to me
Taller guys and their friends look like N.B.A players
Shorter guys look more like cheerleaders
Taller guys seem to look like dragon slayers
Shorter guys look a lot more like bleeders
Taller guys seem to have more gear to protect
Shorter guys wear more protective gear
Taller guys, more confidence seem to project
Shorter guys have less confidence, more fear
Really seems like it’s that way to me
Taller guys appeal to the female gender
Shorter guys always seem to choke
Taller guys carry a lot more legal tender
Shorter guys always seem to be broke
Taller guys seem to drive high dollar cars
Shorter guys drive toyotas
Taller guys seem to reach for the stars
Shorter guys reach for diet sodas
Taller guys are obnoxious, let’s neuter them all
Shorter guys are great people, always a delight
Taller guys are an abomination against mother nature’s law
If you think I’m a short guy….well, you’re right!
Really seems like the way it should be

Ash earthen fallen hurdles into dust
A sigh sign blown into whirls of time

You may grow taller, but no taller than your head.
Tis a highly descriptive task
to write your lips as they bite the glass
rims standing even and the drink it's been
made of sweet and bitter
rivers lakes and oceans
spilling drops of blue
to dwell on your eyelashes
eyes closed quiver fear
to stand on the fingertips
and to read the lines
broken palms of hands
geometry divinity
grasped in human kind

Walking Tall
I'm going stronger and stronger
I'm growing taller and taller
With each and every failure I savor
With the wounds on my naked heart I preen
Like a lofty tree with Axe-made hews
That stops not sprouting new leaves
Nor buildings it's trunk's thews
Nor doling out, for free, sweet fruits

I Have Always Wanted to Write You One, Sorry it Took so Long to Find My Inspiration...Hey That Rhymes!
Written: October 12,2011
Since we were born, I think we were meant to be
The best of friends we were and are, nothing ever came between
Sharing came easy to us, for our parents to see
To be honest, you were never evil or mad and definitely not mean
As the years went past, taller and taller we grew
You were taller for a while then, but I won as we always knew
Our competitions became more elaborate, you were smart I athletic
Although, I think my writing skills are better but my handwriting still pathetic
Look at our accomplishments now, past President of HICAP and me an ex-Captain
Both black belts and teachers in the makin’
We have shown courage, endurance, tolerance, and loyalty
Which is seen in our friends to whom we never forsaken
I know in the future, with no doubt in my mind
No matter what happens we will be at each others side
We have seen each other struggle and fought through with out rest
For me it was to be like you who always was clearly the best
I never told you who my heros are, especially who they are today
It is you, Mom, and Dad. And Mike Piazza, when the field was called Shea
I have always looked up to you, literally and metaphorically
And I have never want to leave you, or have you go away
In the best way that I can
In the best way like no other
Happy Birthday Meg

Swim Baby Swim
Swim baby swim through the waters blue
It’s the first thing a human can do
Swim honey swim the beauty surface strokes
Swim the deepest bottom glow
Swim the exists of the drop
Swim the serpent river curves
Swim the stillness of the lake
Swim the murmurs of the springs

Hold Her In Your Hand
You got to walk a little slower when youre with her
Take the time to be tender, thats the plan
You got to stand a little taller while her world falls to pieces
Only then can you hold her in your hand
You got to live for every moment that she gives you
Make the one in a million understand
You got to stand a little taller while her world falls to pieces
Only then can you hold her in your hand
Now too many faces have come down between us
And I was the fool to be
And I cant deny you the wide open spaces
As long as she stops loving me
You got to stand a little closer when you hold her
Make her feel like a woman , understand
You got to stand a little taller while her world falls to pieces
Only then can you hold her in your hand

Liberation of female sex.
You cannot grow taller than you are.
But you can be leaner than you are.
Dwarf is not the sign of beauty.
Be thin to look taller.
Surging breasts and broad hip are outdated.
Tiny breasts and narrow frame are the order of the day.

I'm Really The Kind
I'm really the kind to dazzle and twirl
Have tantrums like silver slanting rain
Walk up to strangers
Parade with my pride
And stride like a lion up
A mad mountainside
So steep, so lovely
Don't think about the fall
Then suddenly, no warning
No nothing, I'm small
I'm small
Smaller than anyone, smaller than you
You see, I'm really the kind
To cower in the corner
And pray that some guy
Will have a kind word to say
Then be tiny in his arms
And be stroked to my heart
And coaxed and caressed
And combed and undressed
Then finally I'll trust him
Abandon it all
Then suddenly, no warning
No nothing, I'm too tall
I'm tall, taller than anyone
Taller than boys
I'm tall, taller than anyone
Taller than you
The pendulum swings both ways
And I lose my equilibrium
I swing so fast inside it's motion
That I become the hum
I become the hum
You see I'm really the kind
To walk the avenues
And criticize the mannequins
And ogle the jewels
Justify spending the cash
I don't have
Break resolutions
With a naughty little laugh
I'm nothing unless
I'm the belle of the ball
And then suddenly
No warning, no nothing
I've got it all, I see it all
I have it all, I have it all
It is, it is, it is, it is
It is, my soul, my soul

For Frankie
My words are taller
Your native canes cannot reach them
So you always say
You misunderstand me
My murmur
You mishear as my sole reason
For waking up from cubic morning
To the edge
Of twilight
Perhaps you miss
The light burning in the middle
Of your forehead
As old woman
You’re taller as I am
Even when I stand and look up
I see the nimbus bursting
In the dark
You never really tried
To be
Like a puppy
When first thrown
Into the sea

(V – 1985) Joy & Woe
Joy and sorrow always walk hand in hand!
Upon all human hearts they come and stand!
Oh, behind all considered-happy souls
Look, a dropp of sorrow verily rolls!
When taller and taller woe piles up in some
Gets hidden behind, oh, the gladness in them!
Yet hardly do they come with us to live without inviting
For man himself it is who keeps him, oh, laughing and grieving!
Oh Lamen Self
Oh lamen self
Why do I do fault on thee
I think I am capable of these things
To discover I am weak
I am ready, I declare
Though fate will be told halt
I push through direction
And bring this on myself
Pains me so deep
Physicality is no bother
Yet that by which I do not fall
Will only help me to stand taller
And the taller I command
The smaller I am inside
For thy surface is of no resemblance
To the monster that I hide
That of greed, hunger
Mortality and fate
That which brings me down, twists me in two
And allows my heart to break

Height
If I was just a little taller
I'd never use needle and thread.
I'd nothing to hem
and things unreachable
I could grab instead.
But good things come in small packages.
That's how the saying does go.
So I content myself with 5 foot 3
and take out my needle to sew.
When I was a kid I'd look up to see
people growing taller than me.
I wondered how it felt up there?
Was it easier to see?
Now that I've reached that 'I don't care stage'
it's not that bothersome at all.
If I need something way up high
I just find someone that is tall.

Possum Holler
Duet by Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner
Writer Dallas Frazier
Copyright 1967
As time goes by the tales grow taller about possum in Possum Holler
As a young man I'd go a courtin' with my sweetheart so young and fair
Down the mountain to Possum Holler that's where he'd always find me waitin'
there
Now I tell my mama that I's goin' out walkin' neath the moonlight so bright and
fair
And I'd tell daddy I was huntin' possum
And take off a grinnin' and a slickin' down my hair
As time goes by the tales grow taller about possum in Possum Holler
Then one evening in Possum Holler my sweetheart's daddy stopped all our fun
Yeah we got married in Possum Holler just you and me my daddy and daddy's gun
As time goes by the tales grow taller about possum in Possum Holler
Now when they see a possum hunter young and handsome and a smellin' fair
We just lean back and bust our laughin' cause we know there ain't no possum
there
As time goes by the tales grow taller about possum in Possum Holler
About possum in Possum Holler

All is dark
The moat is dry
Shadows fall
The roof lets in the sky
All these memories
Go round in my head
Of the life I have led
Minstrels play
Familiar melodies
And once more
The past comes back to me
All these memories
Go round in my head
Of the life I have led
The grass has grown much taller now
Over running everything
Oh, oh, since Ive been gone
The grass has grown much taller now
Over running everything
Oh, oh, what have I done
Break
The grass has grown much taller now
Over running everything
Oh, oh, since Ive been gone
The grass has grown much taller now
Over running everything
Oh, oh, since Ive been gone
All is dark
The moat is dry
Shadows fall
The roof lets in the sky
All these memories
Go round in my head
Of the life I have led

Not anything else
you say that's been said
you say that's been said
you've seen that's been seen
you've seen that's been seen
you've been that's been hurt
you've been that's been hurt
'there's still some heart that beats under this shirt'
you've said it's been said
you've said it's been seen
you've said will beat again

Significant Other Numbers
SIGNIFICANT OTHER NUMBERS
Edward Iacona
I’d love to find a companion
Whose heart I’d make go pitter patter.
Until I read what women want
And then some numbers are going to matter.
As I read one online profile
I’m sure that for me she’d fall.
But, then I read that she’s five feet two
And wants a man that’s six feet tall.
To use her as an example
Here is a thought to debate or rebuff.
I am four inches taller than her,
So, why is that not enough?
There must be some adaptability.
There’s no formula or calculation
One needs for vertical compatibility
When involved in joyful copulation.
If I met and liked a lady
I’d not hesitate to call her
Just because the reason was
That she’s just simply taller.
To date a woman taller than me
I can imagine the relief she imbues
Being with one without the need
To balance on high heeled shoes.
Additional significant numbers
That figure onto this page
Are the variable considerations
About the differences in age.
There’s an allure to older with younger
Though others may wonder, squawk and gawk.
The biggest challenge to the couple is
That eventually they’ll have to talk.
Be one younger or one older
There’s really no true reference
Perhaps the only factor is that
It speaks to a mutual preference.
To use an acronym of today
Some might want to find a M.I.L.F.
So in the final equation,
I aspire to become a D.I.L.F.

I'm a thing
I’m a thing
A thing to do
A thing to make
A thing for you
To cast and remake
I’m a thing
For this world to sing
A thing to take
A thing to leave
A thing to break
A thing to grieve
I’m a thing
For this world to do
For this world to make
A thing for you
A thing of blue
