Sonnet and Sonata

May sonnet ever match sonata form?
whose opening movement catches restless mind;
whose new and ever-fresh harmonious sound
puts spark in eye and ear, and feet on ground;

then, slower movement, drawing us to still peace,
takes mind within to where all movements cease;
murmuring all that inner nature knows,
restoring to our self its true repose.

Then! final movement, dancing out new joy
in life within to outward present joined,
send us out Creation's messengers
to sing that song our heart in truth enjoys.

Coda, last, or couplet: solemn sum
of all before; that's present; may become.

If our republican form of government is perishing because communications - the infrastructure of that republic - is under the yoke of international business how, at last, do we save it? We must build a confrontational movement to reclaim our democracy, a movement committed to active and sustained protest against the present order.

Ernst Mach

A movement that we will to execute is never more than a represented movement, and appears in a different domain from that of the executed movement, which always takes place when the image is vivid enough.

We Are Family

LOL.

'We are here standing on your feet.
To prevent any moves you may take.
Back...
Or forward.
And you find this funny?
Why are you laughing out loud? '

It just dawned on me!
While you are preventing my movement...
You are not making any movement at all yourselves.
You know that song, 'We Are Family'?
Wouldn't this be a great time to sing it?
Hey...
What about Michael Jackson's, 'You Are Not Alone'?

I do not believe in political movements. I believe in personal movement, that movement of the soul when a man who looks at himself is so ashamed that he tries to make some sort of change - within himself, not on the outside.

Now

Now.
Sit down.
Let go.
Tomorrow’s now will be no more than this
- another was.

Nothing is enough
to distract
your present thought.

And your present thought
is only movement between two points,
a wave that leaves the water behind,
plotted by an electrical mind.

So take your nothing.
Now.

Past-Present-Future

They spend no time together
Yet they're relatively linked
These three birds of a feather
Who march through time in sync

Present is right now
Past is just before it
Future rightly vows
Nothing will detour it

The past flies by too fast
It's movement so incessant
And with a final gasp
Bestows on us the present

The past is understood
When at present we look back
Most memories are good
But some do sadly lack

For the time that's yet to be
The future, as it's known
Let's prepare it present-ly
With good memories all it's own

I came at age in the '60s, and initially my hopes and dreams were invested in politics and the movements of the time - the anti-war movement, the civil rights movement. I worked on Bobby Kennedy's campaign for president as a teenager in California and the night he was killed.

Sun Shine

It is pleasant to experience cold
Possible when you run in rain and feel the world
So cool around and peace in mind
Run around in happiness and just go blind

It is incessant rain then little troublesome
Heavy damage and may cause problems to some
Darkness in day time and whole sky is fully overcast
It is felt night in day time and looks contrast

The sun is covered by dark clouds
Static with movement and clashes so loud
Down pour of heavy water with no respite
One may sit at home and quietly does the nail bite

Sun is eclipsed and no rays can penetrate
Lots of anxiety and excitement generate
It is expected for sun to come out in open
There is fresh attack from black clouds all of sudden

But this sage not to remain permanent
There is heavy attempt by sun to make movement
Little break through weak defense and emergence of ray
As if someone is trying his best to show the way

What can be turned into beautiful scene?
Rainbow is in offing and beautifully seen
What a lovely present from nature at this juncture?
Little hope and encouragement for the bright future

One can make great efforts to break through
Nothing is impossible and can be proved true
Only whole hearted try with no big expectation
I feel it is quite reasonable to pick the indication

Poetry Is Movement Without Effort

Poetry is movement without effort
Poetry should take you to places far beyond what your eyes can see
Take you to places where you can be free
Poetry is movement without effort
All you have to do is think and feel
and it will move you
and make your experiences real
poetry can cause pictures to form in your mind
speak a thousand verbs, a thousand nouns, or a thousand rhymes
all written for you to experience on a personal level
poetry is a journey
to self discovery
out of a thousand doorways to roads never walked travelled or taken
poetry can cause your eyes and your heart to awaken
remind you of a friend’s love remind you that your never forsaken
because while you live you can experience life to the full
poetry is movement it is a tool
for cataloguing things seen and unseen
for poetry can be the very fabric from which we dream!

What For Them Was Isn't

What for them was isn't.
Like the taste of a lollipop,
That has faded from one's memory.
The activity is remembered.
But the flavor of it is gone.
And many are trying to hold onto it.
With a savor craved...
That brings them to the edge,
Of a tantrum fit!

Since what sits in their minds from yesterday,
Hasn't for them really gone away.
They want it returned!
They want it to stay!
They feel betrayed by an enslavement made!

What for them 'was'
ISN'T anymore.
Or will be again.
For anyone else to be explored!

Those heard droaning in a whining moan...
Are lost and locked in a consciousness,
Soon to be all their own.

What for them was isn't.
It's never coming back!
That's a fact they wished attacked.

But from a clock that has stopped its tick tocking...
The hands on it sit!
And there is no movement witnessed from this.
There is no movement witnessed from this.
And there is no movement witnessed from this.
There is no movement witnessed from this.
No movement,
Is witnessed from this!

Cocoon Born

Never have I hear a Blackbirds song so sweet.
Never have I had the ground unhinge beneath my feet,
Awaiting suspension between the plains of existence,

One as all the same.
Form, Un-form.
Cocoon born.

No one ever warned us that we would one day grow our wings.
Morning bird takes the child unheard shaken from his dreams
Movement in the herd portrays a portrait to which all's not as it seems.
Nestle to the pillow, Close your windows open dreams.

In the Grave

My boat is a grave,
Seas of blood form in my ghostlike mind,
Forces of deadly power inhabit the spirit of my life
As I crawl inwardly into a stupor of beauty,
As my moving is sitting, and movement is a comedy
Of movement, inside I laugh, never outrageously,
Just my brain is calm,
In proud spirits, offering me chiming of bells
And musical instruments from the minstrels
We use to adore, fading away now,
Just now, just now; when finally
I die.
Like a boat that belongs to the drowning.

Silence Oceans

Oceans of life,
Oceans in one's life
are wonderful,
Heart is one ocean
Brain is another ocean,
mind is the third,
Trifles are fourth,
Intelligence and wit make fifth,
wisdom and knowledge sixth,
God and Love are seventh!
Soul is the land,
Raised above these oceans
And look as their shore,
Every instant a wave of thought hits the shore!

High tides of happiness,
low tides of sorrow,
High tides of success,
Low tides of failure hit the shore!

Ego is that wind blowing,
Desires and pride are changing gravity
cause wave and tide!
Sometimes disappointment,
Or hurt ego,
can create storm and tsunami!

Silence in solitude,
become grand solitude,
Takes one to that altitude,
everything is cool in love and gratitude,
Peace incarnate in multitude,
In that great solitude,

When wind stops,
and become still,
When there is no movement Of Sun and Moon,
When everything comes to still,

No waves, no tides,
ocean meets shore, all in love,
No raising or falling tides,
No roar of chasing waves,
That is that grand silence,
Silence of All oceans,
When no bird fly or sing,
When no events,
they are
Time's own parents,
And time give birth to
Three tenses,
Past and future
compress the present,
Now lose pressure,
Present expands to eternal!

All merge in present
One is present in present tense only,
Both presence and absence,
Merge in that grand existence,
That is the grand silence,
That is the solitude,
Where no one to disturb,
Nothing can disturb,
Soul is immersed in the universal soul,
Mind goes out of universe and sees the grand truth,
Truth is that truth,
no false can never reach,
No false can never touch,
Universe infinite is not even atomic,
Because mind itself has grown,
fantastic and gigantic,
No atlantic, no antarctic,
Only ocean remains,
peaceful pacific
No reason to love,
No reason to hate,
No one can touch,
No arms can harm,
Listen to that drummer,
Beats drum continuously,
AUM AUM AUM,
Now in that silence of absolute solitude,
No drum, no AUM,
No drummer,
No judge's hammer,
No eternal vibration,
As one become one's own master!
