and though there are places, times,
when you are most likely to find it
there in your heart,
there in front of your eyes –

the mossy glade within the woods,
the sunlight filtering through the trees,
or in the pure air of the highest hills,
or among the tossing white-topped waves –

or at the quiet times –
as the dawn sunlight makes the world anew,
plays to make diamonds of the dew,
or as the peace of dusk descends,
carrying a silent blessing –

the places and the times
when you’re most ready in yourself to meet it –

yet it can appear to you at any time or place –
the crowds, the rush, the noise
cannot disturb it
if it wishes to be seen by you

and afterwards, you’ll remember,
know just why it happened to be then and there;
and what it told you, all about yourself;

when it’s there, although we call it ‘white’,
it’s more than white – almost transparent,
almost like a living crystal sculpture of itself,
almost silver; somewhere where substances and colours
are first made, and meet each other;

it may look at you, with eyes that seem to know everything
and find everything, peaceful, loving, beautiful and reasonable;
or it may not look at you; but still
it talks with you with its very presence;
you know that’s so, because
you find yourself speaking to it in the same way,
opening your heart to it, because
it listens to you; it’s there just listening;
its listening is understanding;

and afterwards, the ‘afterwards’ is changed for ever;
as if you’ve met yourself, and find that good;
the world is yours, and possibilities
are boundless; and the unicorn
does not need your eyes - it makes its home
there in your heart
as if it had never been away.

Sunlight on white paint. For the New Year.

The house across the way is newly painted white.
Right now, that’s all my being seems to need:

this winter morning, sharp, cold, bright and clear,
the morning sunlight pours across white paint;

contains a thousand messages, in me
interpreted.. or simply left to be..

this moment, that’s as much as being craves:
this morning’s glory; and I, born for praise..

even as I write, I watch the sun’s
white paint brush move across the house’s front

and tell the eye of reason that this world
is turning, basking, in this morning sun;

already sparkling on the Bondi waves
as if the world had just been washed anew;

cast early dawn’s pearl light on Taj Mahal
as if the sun itself could never tire of beauty;

Italian villa forecourts just hosed down,
the air all fresh to meet the warming day;

the gardens of Carmel, eight hours from now,
will paint their flowers fresh with mist and dew;

as every carefree holiday yourself
recall, as proof eternal of pure soul..

and here - the witness of my silent mind
needs nothing, need go nowhere else to find
its very self, this moment without taint:
immortal sunlight shining on white paint.

Do You Remember

Do you remember when you said I wasn't listening to you,
But you know that I really couldn't.
Do you remember when I asked you to repeat what you said,
And too me you said that you wouldn't.
Do you remember when you got mad at me daily for my hearing,
And I told you that you shouldn't.

Do you remember when I flew thousands of miles,
So that I could Just to be with you.
Do you remember also when I flew you here to my home,
So that we could become just two.
Do you remember when I did or went wherever that you wanted,
And all you really had to do was only to ask me to.

Do you remember how I went into deep, deep debt,
So that I could get you all that you did and do own.
Do you remember how I said that everything of mine was yours,
Which included my heart and also my home.
Do you remember how you then mocked and laughed at me,
When collectors would come and not leave me alone.

Do you remember when I prayed to GOD for our love,
Every single day and also every night.
Do you remember how happy and proud I always was of you,
And all you had to do was stand at my side.
Do you remember all the argument that you started with me,
And with me you would love to argue and fight.

Do you remember those many plans that we had made,
But never alone but while we were together.
Do you also remember how I would always say,
That you and I would always be forever.
Do you also remember as I still do and that I always will,
That once again you secretly chose some other.

Do you still remember the many sins that you've done,
And also the many lies to me that you had spoke.
Do you still remember the times that you weren't in our home,
Especially the times you weren't there when I had awoke.
Do you still remember those many times when you just hid away,
I wonder still if your conscience ever did choke.

Do you still remember and of course I always will, ,
How you have done this again and also once before.
Do you still remember how you had use all your other men,
So that you could get what you were looking for.
Do you remember how you lied and how you used them too,
Maybe that's why you always left for a different shore.

Do you remember the vows and promises that you made,
And once again in front of GOD and in the presence of man.
Do you remember how you would always be at your mans side,
While you were holding onto another mans hand.
Do you remember all those promises you made and then broke,
I wish truly that you I could understand.

Did you also know that years or even days from now,
Your eyes will begin to grow a bit dimmer.
Did you also know that about that same time from now,
Your heart will rebel and will begin to shimmer.
Did you also know about that same time GOD you will meet,
And then did you also know, that GOD too will also remember.

I Just Wasnt Made For These Times

I keep looking for a place to fit
Where I can speak my mind
Ive been trying hard to find the people
That I wont leave behind
They say I got brains
But they aint doing me no good
I wish they could
Each time things start to happen again
I think I got something good goin for myself
But what goes wrong
Sometimes I feel very sad
Sometimes I feel very sad
(cant find nothin I can put my heart and soul into)
Sometimes I feel very sad
(cant find nothin I can put my heart and soul into)
I guess I just wasnt made for these times
Every time I get the inspiration
To go change things around
No one wants to help me look for places
Where new things might be found
Where can I turn when my fair weather friends cop out
Whats it all about
Each time things start to happen again
I think I got something good goin for myself
But what goes wrong
Sometimes I feel very sad
Sometimes I feel very sad
(cant find nothin I can put my heart and soul into)
Sometimes I feel very sad
(cant find nothin I can put my heart and soul into)
I guess I just wasnt made for these times
I guess I just wasnt made for these times
I guess I just wasnt made for these times
I guess I just wasnt made for these times
I guess I just wasnt made for these times
I guess I just wasnt made for these times

U n i c o r n 1 5

Those to whom it has revealed itself
- grazing in a grove of trees,
a ray of morning sunlight
lighting the dewdrops on the mossy grass;
or galloping, white mane flying in the wind,
over the high green hills;
or briefly glimpsed, shining-eyed
between the white-spumed waves –
they bring back with them, the experience
which always will be theirs;
some place of inner peace
to which they may refer all the events
of life; so that, like some shaken bright kaleidoscope,
all falls into its place.

Some never speak of this; some see no reason not to speak;
and risk response: thus, some envious, as ‘why not me? ’
some, just curious; some, eager to hear all,
as if they always knew, or ‘thought they guessed’, that it exists…

Even spoken from the heart, words live a life that’s perilous:
some who are so fortunate as to catch it there
in that sacred grove of trees, and on whom
the unicorn bestows its glance, as eye to eye,
speak of a softness, of a sweetness; some
say, it looked into my inmost soul;
some simply fall in love with their true peaceful self;
some speak of being so at one with it,
that all the world is ever one: so that,
its glance bestowed on them, their every glance
henceforward, sees that unity in everything.

some speak of it; some hold it in
pure silence of the heart, and live it
in themselves, as if
they are its children in the world;
their glance, as sparkling eye meets sparkling eye,
will tell us all we need to know

that moment when we know
that there is something which we know, have ever known,
but knew not what it was until
- like some glimpse of the unicorn,
here, now, always; one glimpse, one glance,
and its work done -
we know we know

You're Always On My Mind

There's a place where you will always be
in my memory.
And all the days I get to live
I will find you there.
There's a place I always see
that lives inside of me
and everywhere that I go
I can find you there.

I close my eyes and picture you
and watch you come alive.
I think of all the times we've shared
and know how I survive
every single ache that comes
that tears my heart apart.
All I have to do is picture you
and the ache starts to depart.

For you have made my life complete.
You did it from day one.
You make me feel the wonders of life
that warm me like the sun.
For all the places where I'd go
are not enough for me.
They'd simply be too empty
without you there with me.

So if I want to feel like this
forever and a day
I'll keep you in my memory
and always find a way
to hold on to the times that are just ours
and keep them in my mind.
For the love that I have shared with you
is the kind that's hard to find.

You Won't Find Me There

I'd like to know what makes you stay
While your eyes still search for escape
You think that I don't feel the cold, baby
But I wait, while confessions unfold
You'll never make a living from reading minds
Or from getting your direction from exit signs
Look into your heart and you won't find me there
You won't find me where you hide, baby
And that makes us a matter of time
Like trees exposed by fall, baby
Time reveals it all
You'll never make a living from reading minds
Or from getting your direction from exit signs
Look into your heart and you won't find me there
Oooooooh...
Tell me you want to do everything
But you're stuck up to your knees
And I'm less likely pushed forward
By ambition than a breeze
But there's a flame that must be fanned, baby
And it appears as a beckoning hand
Don't think 'cause you're not talking, you're being kind
You've been getting your direction from exit signs
Look into your heart and you won't find me there
You won't find me
Oooh, there
You won't find, you won't find
You won't find me there, oooh
You won't find, you won't find
You won't find me there

Before The Beginning

Written by peter green.
So many nights I lay awake
Cant sleep
I lay here thinkin bout a woman
I used to love
Cant sleep but no good to count sheep
Ill just count the worries
That Ive got plenty of
And how many times
Must I be the fool
Before I can make it
Oh make it on home
Ive got to find a place to sing my words
Is there nobody listening to my song?
You talk about a life
Been searching for the key
But cant find an answer
To comfort me
I ask myself about love
Cant even find the door
To take me to a place
Ive never seen before
But how many times
Must I be the fool
Before I can make it
Oh make it on home
Ive got to find a place to sing my words
Is there nobody listening to my song?

You First Believed

How many times did I pray
You'd find me
How many wishes on a star
Gazing off into the dark
Dreaming I'd see your face
Safe at home unafraid
Captured in your embrace

So many times
When my heart was broken
Visions of you
Would keep me strong
You were with me all along
Guiding my every step
You are all that I am
And I'll never forget

It was you who first believed
In all that I was made to be
It was you looking in my eyes
You held my hand
And showed me life
And I've never been the same
Since you first believed

There were times
When I'd thought I'd lost you
Fearing forever was a dream
But it wasn't what it seemed
Placing your hand in mine
You could see in the dark
You were guiding my heart

It was you who first believed
In all that I was made to be
It was you looking in my eyes
You held my hand
And you showed me life
And I've never been the same
Since you first believed

How many times did I pray
You'd find me
How many wishes on a star

My Home

How do I find my way back?
I've strayed too far from home.
I've gone so many places
for so many days.
I've even been to Rome.

I have seen so many sights now.
It seems to me that somehow
that every place I've ever seen
were places in-between
from the place that is my home.

My search for brand new places
and all those other places
never filled the gap
as I crossed the map,
so far from my sweet home.

For I missed the landscape,
the place that I grew up in.
The old familiar faces
were not in the places I've been.
And now I must retrace my steps.

I've searched this world all over.
Too long I've been a rover.
I'll take a trip on back
for I'm on the wrong track.
I wonder what I'll find at my home?

Nothing seems the same now.
Familiarity has changed somehow,
except for the peace I feel around me.
'Cause in my memory I still can see
the place that is my home.

Can you look beyond the shallow

Can you look beyond the shallow?
To find a deeper meaning which is true.
Can you look beyond the shadows?
To find a philosophy for you
Can you find hope in times of madness?
to bring you through your despair
can you find strength and guidance
in the books over there
can you find faith
in actions good works and deeds done
can you find solace when the game is lost and not won
can keep both eyes open
when others with prejudice are opposed
can you find meaning where there seems to be none or it is supposed
, then my friend you’ll never lose and the battle will be half won.
For how we perceive and what we believe
Makes us whole
a heart that looks beyond the shallow
will find what it looks for it will find its goal.

thank you
for everything you have done for me
that is not nearly enough
I’m sorry sweety

Dream Away

(d. warren)
When this world, the real that world youre living in
Just gets too much for you to take
When you find too many troubles on your mind then
Feel just like there is no escape
And it seems your heart has forgotten how to believe
Turn a page in your soul
Theres a place you can go
Close your eyes and let your heart fly free (fly free)
(chorus)
Dream away, dream away
Let imagination light your way
Take you as far as your heart can see
Dream..., dream away, dream away
To a place where hope is shining
Find your silver lining (find your silver lining)
Everything you need is just to dream away
Remember when (remember when)
The dream could take you anywhere (anywhere you want to)
Just to wish (yes) anything could be
When the father sol is one more star you could reach
Take a look in your heart
cause thats where dreams are where start
Anything is real if you just believe (believe...)
(chorus)
All it takes is faith to make your dream come true (ah ah)
And somewhere in this world therell be somebody
To share your dreams with you

You Told Me

I remember you reading me about
Places beyond the mountains,
Above the trees and behind rainbows-
You told me that skies turned gray here sometimes
And the sound of thunder would
Resonate throughout -
The places I used to run and hide from and
Those places where the skies would at times turn red in hue
Where the light of the sun would bear down
Upon that paranormal pond I so often spoke of-
I had told you about the world I lived in where
Few people lived and cats ran wild while
Trees grew tall to scrape the clouds as
Pink and silver as they reflected in
The course of a running stream that lead
Towards a safe place where I could hide from
That world I so feared where cars ran vicariously-
Clocks ran from nine to five in that world where
Three billion people were known to live-
That world where I had never felt safe at home.
To retreat to the land beyond the mountains and
Behind rainbows-
I told you in those rare moments when I was afraid to speak and
Fearful of everything you deemed as “real”-
I know the world in which you live is real to you and
Although this land of purity, and through my eyes
I saw as safe and majestic-
You told me this was none but a delusion-
I remember living for a short while
In your world, where guns fired, thunder clapped, cars would rush
Carelessly down boulevards and skyscrapers were built
To barely withstand rain, sleet and snow-
In desperation I spread the wings you told me did not exist-
Lifted my body and flew beyond the mountains and the rainbows and far away from
This world so overwhelming and so threatening-
You were the one who read me tales about lands beyond the mountains
And in my mind I found a place behind a rainbow-
And it didn’t matter if it was none but a delusion because-
Through my own eyes, what feels like home,
No matter where the place may be-
Is truly home to me- no matter where its destiny-
You told me the thunder would sound soon and the lightening would strike-
I told you “Never in my world” and if some day I also saw it as a “delusion”
It would not matter because I have found my safe haven here-
Alive and content in this place where I can call myself
Settled and secure,
I would never turn my head to see the rain falling upon
Skyscrapers and cars breaking down on the highway
Early in the morning-
Whether my dream world is real to you or
Just a figment of my imagination in your mind,
It is true to life to me-
That is what matters and
If some day you wish to see what living blissfully encounters-
Climb over that mountain and beyond a rainbow
After a storm-
You shall find me there to
Welcome you and perhaps you also-
Shall never see any turning back, as
What is veracity and what is phantasmal-
Is as has been said-
Is in the eyes of the beholder-

Unicorn 13

who does not wish, openly or secretly,
to meet it, in some quiet place?
even a secret image in the mind's dead index
of those materialists who
deny it a reality, calling it a
‘mythological creature’ – as if
the mind were not superior to flesh and earth?

this, the very reason for
its longevity – who would not,
were it material, have hunted it by now
for a prince’s ransom, its magic horn ground down, hunted to
extinction – so that we would say
‘as dead as unicorn’ and left
the dodo forgotten and unmourned?
and so, to be a myth is logical…

and thus, the unicorn lives, beyond
some banal death at a hunter’s hands;
easy, peaceful in its own preserves,
grazing in the pure air of our minds,
free to remind us that we too are born free.

the secrets of creation
hide in such unthought hills as paradox –
we, yearning for a meeting
in a place we know not where
where in that still and silent place
loud with silent joy,
moving in ways beyond the movement seen,
we meet it when the looking stops

and paradox on paradox,
once met, we do not seek to meet and meet again –
its tender single glance
tells us for ever that it always lived
inside ourselves; we ourselves
that ‘mythological creature’,
more real than our mirrored self,
grazing in the wooded groves of stillness,
the mossy dells of silence; or,
its wild mane wind-tossed,
on the flying highest hills of freedom
or bright-eyed, salt-browed, white
between the spraying waves and curling surf:
knowing ourselves to be, forever to have been:

Love Will Find A Way

Are you feeling down, and lonely.
Feeling like you cant go on.
Just remember love will find a way.
Tell me are you going through changes.
Time seems like its passing by.
Just believe that love will find a way.
(bridge)
I see the tears you cry.
I see the pain thats in your eyes.
So many times you were so lonely.
And no one seemed to care.
But if your hopes, for your tomorrows.
Are drowning in your sorrows.
Know your heart will show you the way.
Are you trying to find a beginning.
Or something just to hold on to.
Always know that love will find a way.
Is it hard this life youre living.
Does the world seem so unkind.
Dont you worry love will find a way.
(bridge)
Some say weve lost, our way.
Some say the world has gone astray.
But if you know where youre going.
Theres nothing you cant do.
cause problems will come.
And they will leave you.
The world will try to deceive you.
But the truth will always be in your soul.

I Believe in Love Eternal

I am an old man and even an older soul that's been around many life times. I will find the one that will make my journey complete so I won't have to do this forever endlessly. We are here to meet each other many times over and correct the problems/mistakes we have encountered and lessons not yet learned. I hope I have learned all I need to learn to pass on to pure energy and remain till all ascends.

I Believe In Love Eternal
Written by Wilfred Charles Mellers Tuesday, August 19,2008

The meeting of two souls is what’s important
To find oneself is of the utmost significances
Reaching out to seize the moment when you find someone
Boundaries not known race, shape, creed, or color
Statures slender, petite, voluptuous, doesn’t matter
The body is nothing more than the souls vessel

Always growing founder for love is eternal
Magic happens when you find one another
Once in a lifetime it only happens
Do we hold back what we feel due to social stereotypes
Do we pursue with a vengeance the love of each other for life

All things relative for love crosses space and time
In a human shell life is energy enclosed and refined
Loving souls will meet always again
Specific gender souls are not rendered
Colors, creed, and cultures souls cross
For that purpose we are all here
To love and be loved in return

Greater than love there’s nothing
Like a ton of bricks when love hits
Eternity seen at a glance in each other’s eyes
The gates of heaven are flung open to embrace us inside
The world now seems a new

I’ve gone around many times I’ve been told
Patiently waiting for my love to have and to hold
Recognizing my true love in a crowd I could never pass
A sparkle in my old eyes and a gleam overcomes at last

A wasted life without passion is
A crime without love life is
A squandered life without loves intimacy
No life at all without living inside your love

I have been to many places
I have had so many, many faces
I have been far to many races
I’ve search through the depths of time
For the love of my life once more I’ll find
I will not rest until I make you mine

Coming back looking for you I have been
Through the centuries for your love to win
I will search till the end of days and time
Until I finally make you mine
All withstanding for the greater powers
The days are long and so my sunlight hours
My love for you is never ending
These words for you I will always be sending
I’ve been longing to hold love so true
Come find me for I have been waiting so long for you

P.S.

Walk good and never be afraid of the rain for God is in the rain.
One love
Blessed
Rastafar I

Carryin' The Torch

Did I hear you say you wished that you could leave her?
Has some foolish disagreement made you blind ?
If you traveled round this world, you wouldn't find another girl
To hold the candle to the guy you left behind.
And boy, she's carrying the torch for you
Though solid tears may fall, you never know.
But on the day that you discover how much you really love her
You'll find her love has never lost its glow.
She believed ya when you pledged her your devotion
When she watched you as you walked right out the door.
After all that she's been through tonight she still believes in you
As she stands there all alone upon the shore.
And boy, she's carrying the torch for you,
Though her heart may break, you never know.
But on the day that you discover how much you really love her
You'll find her love has never lost its glow.
You know, I still remember the first time I ever saw her.
You see, I was coming home from overseas,
And well, she was just standing there as the ship was comin' in.
Well, she really stood out from the crowd, I can tell you that.
And the golden light of dawn was gleaming in her eyes.
Well, there's some folks that call her proud,
And there's some folks that call her wild,
And there's some that even go so far as to call her free,
And then there's some ...
Well they just call her the Statue of Liberty!
And boy she's carrying the torch for you
Thank you!
Her love light shines for all this world to see.
Thank you very much!
And on that day
Thank you!
You'll find a way to love her
She wants you just to know you're always free.

Still I Find You Deeper In My Heart

There are times that I wonder how much you do love me
when people want to drive us apart
and still I find you deeper in my heart,

even when people fabricate lies,
when they hit, spit and lay accusations.
There are times that I wonder how much you do love me

even when there is resistance in every sentence of yours,
even when people bring you to anger by saying things
and still I find you deeper in my heart

and I know that nothing can conquer true love,
while I keep to the oath that I have made.
There are times that I wonder how much you do love me

and even if my words and deeds as if without affect
when people hide behind hearsay
and still I find you deeper in my heart,

as if our love continually starts over again,
when people want to squash everything beautiful between us.
There are times that I wonder how much you do love me
and still I find you deeper in my heart.

Sunshine

Sometimes I can't get enough
Ooh, of you
This friendly game keeps getting rough
Think I'm breaking through
I cannot hide this well
This well as I should
There's always something left to tell
Tell me is it good?
I see you
Do you see me too?
Close your eyes and meet me in the sunshine
Come on through
I will find you
Close your eyes and meet me in the sunshine
I guess you chose a different road
I am not aware
I got the one that's been closed
Shut down for repair
I hold a highway in my head
Ruling of a king
Driving away the things I've said
And I've said everything
I see you
Do you see me too?
Close your eyes and meet me in the sunshine
Come on through
I will find you
Close your eyes and meet me in the sunshine
Meet me in the sunshine
Meet me in the... sunshine
There's something better in this heat
Getting it on
I feel the warmth, I feel the greed
And I fear the fall
I hold this window wide enough
To keep the whole world
I want to spit out all this stuff
And keep the girl
I see you
Do you see me too?
Close your eyes and meet me in the sunshine
Come on through
I will find you
Close your eyes and meet me in the sunshine
Meet me in the sunshine
Meet me in the sunshine

Air

the air is warm yet feels cold to me
as i smoke my cig and try to breath
thinking and crying tears of white
as the tears roll down my cheeks i think
i think of why the world is changing so much
and why things go bad
i realize good things go bad
to teach you a lesson you must learn
and no matter how much you get hurt
learning these lessons
it all works out so you know
wiping my eyes and earasing all sighns of sadness
i put my smoke out and take one last look at the sky
wondering who's feeling the way i am
i know everyone goes through it
but some times stuff gets out of controle
if things are supposed to get this bad
will they get way better after?
like a loss of air from my lungs
my heart pounds and my chest hurts
i am silent and keep it in
but some times it comes out
life is like this for all of us
some live through
and some decide to eliminate the pain
by eliminating themselves
self mutilation is one of them
it takes away the other pain for a while
and makes it so you focuse on your mutilation
as time goes by it becomes a habbit
it takes over but then suddenly
you find people who love you
and care about you
and help you all the time
they are your best friends and or your lovers
you come to find that you dont need to do it anymore
cause they will always be there to catch you when you fall
i should know i have a best friend/sister and a lover who help me
i used to cut alot now i jst look at my scars
and find they love me for who i am
not what i look like or what i do
so my dear friend and lover
i love you and thank you
