S i m i l e
‘A golden evening; and we watched
the sun sink slowly below the horizon
like a golden dime
into a flaming jukebox’..
well, yes and no… similes –
one thing likened to another –
are sacred food: gifts
that we give to one another’s mind
to lift it with a sudden joy;
expand it so that all the world
is made afresh, anew, and
full of wonder and of praise..
a world whose unity becomes
in a moment, here and now, forever…
give a simile in words as if – like -
the most careful choice of gift of love
to the one you love the most:
to say, this is to show how much
I love the world in you; in You.
My eyes shine like your heart.

Give Love On A Christmas Day
people making lists, buying special gifts,
It's a time to be kind to one and all
It's that time of year when good friends are dear
And you wish you could give more
Than just presents from a store
Why don't you give love on christmas day (on christmas day)
Oh even the man who has everything
Would be so happy if you would bring
Him love on christmas day (on christmas day)
No greater gift is there than love
People you don't know smiling out hello
Everywhere there's an air of christmas joy
It's that once a year, when the world's sincere
And you'd like to find a way
To show the things that words can't say
Why don't you give love on christmas day (on christmas day)
The man on the street and the couple upstairs
All need to know that there's one cares
Give love on christmas day (christmas day)
No greater gift is there than love
What the world needs is love
Yes the world needs your love
Why don't you give love on christmas day (on christmas day)
Oh every little child on santa's knee
Has room for your love underneath his tree
Give love on christmas day (christmas day)
No greater gift is there than love
What the world needs is love
Yes the world needs your love

Let Me Give The World To You
Last chance to make believe in
Always and all it seems
Train wrecks hide underneath
Your umbrella
Set the frame
Destiny, on this first name soliloquy
Tired symphonies played downward
Let me give the world to you, my love
Let me give the world to you, my love
Let me show you what I'm thinking of
Let me give the world to you, my love
So far
So far
So far
Lovers form dead excuse
And blur the lines with soul abuse
My lonesome lies just have no use around here
New skin may hold you in
But the old skin still turns us on
Flicker fades the nitrate dawn to where
Let me give the world to you, my love
Let me give the world to you, my love
Times are hard and we're the last in line
'Cause in my grief I'd forgotten what was mine
No, I wouldn't change a thing
No, I, no
No, I wouldn't change a thing
About the way you are
The distance here
The speed so far
So far
So far
So far
Let me give the world to you, my love
Let me give the world to you, my love
Let me give the world to you
Let me give the world to you
Let me give the world to you

Share My Love
Well always be together
Well make it through until the end
And I will always love you
And we will be much more than friends
Ill build my life around you
Andd Ill do anything for you
No walls will bind around us
And show the world our love is true
Share my love with you my darling together
Let the love shine between us forever.
You came along when I was down
And lifted me up to higher ground
You gave me strength to live each moment
And fill my world with the brightest thing.
Share my love with you my darling together
Let the love shine between us forever.
Our love will shine forever
Well turn the darkness into day
Love will bind us together
To make our world a brighter place.
Share my love with you my darling together
Let the love shine between us forever.

Let the love shine between us forever
Share my love with you my darling together

Shine For You
Look across the world
And let us shine for you, Lord
The whole world is yours
And I want to live for you
One thing I know
Is that you've changed my life
I give you my all
All you are is good
Give you my heart
God it's only you I seek
Give you my praise
'Cause I believe in you
Look across the world
And let us shine for you, Lord
The whole world is yours
And I want to live for you, O God
All that I know
Is that you've changed my life
I give you my all
And all you are is good
Carry the lost
Make my prayer in this life real
Carry my cross
Hold on 'til I see you
Look across the world
And let us shine for you, Lord
The whole world is yours
And I want to live for you, O God
And I want to live
I want to love you more
I want to be used
Father in all of the world
May your word be heard
May it stay on my lips
Live what I speak
Until your kingdom come
Look across the world
And let us shine for you
And let us shine for you
Look across the world
And let us shine for you, Lord
The whole world is yours
And I want to live for you
Look across the world
And let us shine for you, Lord
The whole world is yours
And I want to live for you
And I want to live for you
And I want to live for you

If I Had The World To Give
If I had the world to give, Id give it to you
Long as you live, would you let it fall, or hold it all in your arms?
If I had a song to sing, Id sing it to you
As long as you live, lullaby or maybe a plain serenade
Wouldnt you laugh, dance, and cry or be afraid at the change you made
I may not have the world to give to you
But maybe I have a tune or two
Only if you let me be your world
Could I ever give this world to you
But I will give what love I have to give,
I will give what love I have to give,
I will give what love I have to give, long as I live.
If I had a star to give, Id give it to you
Long as you live, would you have the time
To watch it shine, watch it shine
Or ask for the moon and heaven too? Id give it to you.
Well maybe Ive got no star to spare, or anything fine or even rare,
Only if you let me be your world, could I ever give this world to you.
Could I ever give this world to you.

The Golden Hole
I am beside the river of love,
And of a wondrous marriage to swing my muse;
But of the joy like the flowers to forth a fairer hue.
The niddle's eye takes a camel through,
Far from the sacred shore i stand;
But while i was very sad,
The Golden Hole was there as my hope.
I love my wife and my children,
But let us give praise to the Creator;
Like the tree with the golden hair.
As far as eyes could see and the nose could smell,
For my share of the wine is over the cliff;
And out of the night,
This water from the river is spent and gone.
The moon was very bright on The Golden Hole,
And that germ of kindness will be my hope;
For my old age calls her love to me,
And like the one who does his duty by himself.
That germ of kindness in this hole,
Of the garden of herbs and fruits;
And out of the full heart and the boundless gratitude,
For this Golden Hole is all my hope.
Come and see this hole,
Like the working bee in blossom-dust;
And there is a thing in my mind to say,
But women are so quick to understand.
Fearing the lazy gossip of the port,
For by the river side i stayed and watched;
like a figure seen in the early dawn.
In The Golden Hole,
As a vision of a dream;
But i have loved you longer than you know.

I Can Love You
Yahooooooooooo
They rated cinderella
You hoped it would come true
That one day your prince charming
Would come rescue you
You like romantic movies
And you never will forget
The way you felt when romeo kissed juilet
And all this time that youve been waiting
You dont have to wait no more...
Chorus:
I can love you like that
I would make you my world
With heaven and earth
If you were my girl
I would give you my heart
Be all that you need show you youre everything thats precious to me
If you give me a chance
I can love you like that (I can love you like that x2)
I never make a promise I dont intend to keep
So when I say forever, forever is what I mean
Well Im no casanova but I swear this much is true
Ill be holding nothing back when it comes to you
You dream of love that is ever lasting
Ohhhhhoooo
Well baby open up your eyes
Chorus:
I can love you like that
I would make you my world
With heaven and all
If you were my girl
I would give you my heart

Show you youre everything thats precious to me
If you give me a chance
I can love you like that (I can love you like that)
If you want tenderness (tendernes, tenderness)
I got tenderness(tenderness)
And I see through to the heart of beauty
If you want a married man who will understand
You dont have to look very far
I can love you
Girl..i can love you
I can love you like that
I would make you my world
With heavan and earth
If you were my girl
I would give you my heart

Golden Touch
Golden touch
I was broken till you came along
You put the words back into my song
In your world is where I now belong
Golden touch is it that I love you so much
I was lost till I met you
I now love everything you do
I live now just because of you
Golden touch
Your are the object of my desire
I am like a cat on a high wire
For you I would walk in front of gunfire
Golden touch
This to you I must confess
Your mind and body I want to possess
I long for you to kiss and caress
Golden touch my Liege
You are the key to my success
My love I can no longer suppress
You are a beautiful princess
Golden touch
To me I grant you total access
With you I feel no distress
You have driven me to total madness
Golden touch
No longer these thoughts I can suppress
With my eyes you I’ve undress
If the world would know I could care less
Golden touch
These words I wish to you to express
You’ve brought me out of my sadness
You’ve driven back the darkness
You are my goddess and my empress
Golden touch
I wasn’t quite right and you made me see the light
You are what I’ve been longing for
With your love I could never want more

No One Can Love You More
Give you love 2x
I'm gonna give you all my love, all my love (give you all my love)
Give you love 2x
I'm gonna give you all my love, all my love
I used to be on my own
Every night, every day by myself
Feeling so far from home
How would I know I would go
Down the road that would lead me right into your arms
Destiny told me that you were the one
Stars fill the sky now I've finally found you
Chorus:
No one can love you more
No one can give it all
I'm gonna give you all my loving
No one can love you more
I'll give you my heart and soul
Feel it deep down inside
Give you love 2x
I'm gonna give you all my love, all my love (give you all my love)
Give you love 2x
I'm gonna give you all my love, all my love
I thought I was wasting time
Living in hope that I'd find a new love
Love can be so unkind
How could it be you and me took so long
To discover that dreams do come true
Everything's changed since the day I met you
The sun's gonna shine every time we're together
(Chorus 2x)
Yesterday has gone
And from this moment on you will see
This will be a forever lasting love
Give you love 2x
I'm gonna give you all my love, all my love
Give you love 2x
I'm gonna give you all my love, all my love
(Chorus 2x)
Give you love 2x
I'm gonna give you all my love, all my love
Give you love 2x
I'm gonna give you all my love, all my love
No one can love you more 3x

When I Made That Choice
god came to me in a dream one night,
and whispered, 'by your gifts you are named'.
to some i give dignity,
to some i give grieving.
to some i give prophecy,
to some i give doubt.
to some i give determination,
to some i give faith.
to some i give patience,
to some the gift of listening.
to some i give peace,
to some revolution.
to some i give healing,
to some i give suffering.
to some i give love,
to some i give loss.
to some i give eyes,
to some i give feet.
to all i give understanding,
though few choose to take it....
and remember, you chose your own gifts! '...
and i thought for awhile,
and then asked....
'but what about me? '
god laughed...
'to a few infidels i give poetry,
to sing to the weary! '
god, what was i thinking,
when i made that choice?

Forever
I'll be loving you forever
Deep inside my heart you'll leave me never
Even if you took my heart
And tore it apart
I would love you still forever
You are the sun
You are my light
And you're that last thing on my mind
Before I go to sleep at night
You're always around
When I'm in need
When trouble's on my mind
You put my soul at ease
There is no-one in this world
Who can love me like you do
That is the reason that I
Want to spend forever with you
Chorus
We've had our fun
And we've made mistakes
But who'd have guessed along that road
We'd learn to give and take
There's so much more
Than I could've dreamed
'Cause you make loving you
So easy for me
There is no-one in this world
Who can love me like you do
That is the reason that I
Want to spend forever with you
Chorus
And girl I pray you'll leave me never
'Cause this the world
Where lovers often go astray
But if we love each other
We won't go that way
So out your doubts aside
Do what it takes to make it right
I love you forever
No-one can tear us apart
Chorus to fade

0008 The Gift
Who does not wish to give the perfect gift
to those we love – to whom we have already
given the greatest gift we have – our heart?
To choose a visible and outward sign
of love whose meaning’s inward, spiritual?
But who would dare to challenge innocence
and ignorance in their demonic bond,
and break the spell of Christmas wish and hope
by telling children, that old Santa Claus
is but the God who gave their life to them -
dressed up in red and white and snowy beard;
and who, in needing nothing of himself,
would be delighted to receive their thanks
and nothing more; and who, we might believe
of one who has all gifts in his command,
might be obliged by those laws he himself
created, out of justice, equity,
to give them that which they themselves have made –
a life of gratitude for life itself –
a life of praise, where all the world is gift
beyond all human gifts?
What parents now
might give their children gold, myrrh, frankincense
with all their love; and teach them by this show
why Christmas gifts are godly metaphor?
Of course, no parents would dare break this spell;
you’ll laugh at me for this absurdity;
yet it might build a clear-eyed, praising race
who thought in metaphor; spoke poetry.

Give A Little Bit Of Smile
Friends of the universe
I welcome you all
To the world of sunshine and laughter
Theres so much to see if only you could see
That life is so merry, so jolly and free
Come listen to me and hear what I say
Just a little favor from society
cause it only needs a muscle to be happy
So come and show it and give all the love
Refrain:
Give a little bit of smile
And the world would smile too
Yes, a little bit of smile
And the sun will shine through
Give a little bit of smile
Spread the cheers now
Spread them smile after smile
Life will be easy, I promise youll see
Open up your eyes to things of beauty
And remember the world will find its glory
If you and me will only agree
Give a little bit of smile
And the world would smile too
Yes, a little bit of smile
And the sun will shine through
Give a little bit of smile
Spread the cheers now
Spread them wide like the bird
That keeps on flying in the sky
Like the child who listens to a lullaby
Theres a smile that we can share together
Give that smile and love one another
Give a little bit of smile
And the world would smile too
Yes, a little bit of smile
And the sun will shine through
Give a little bit of smile
Spread the cheers now
Spread them smile after smile
A little bit of smile

A Daughter
The moment she's born is a blessed thing,
Joy to the world, let us rejoice and sing;
The moment she smiles takes your breath away,
So precious is she, she's mine you say;
The moment she stands you begin to weep,
For the future is coming and soon she will leave;
The moment she speaks the world seems to stop,
Amazement and wonder as you fall back and drop;
The moment she grabs you and speaks so true,
Tears stream down your face, for she said 'I love you.'
A daughter's a gift, a reminder so clear,
Her mother she looks like, you can only cheer;
A daughter's a gift, protect her you must,
By God's mighty hand, there's no one you trust;
A daughter's a gift, and in her you'll find,
Compassion and love, a heart so kind;
A daughter's a gift from the heavens above,
For there is hope in this world now, full of love.
Sonnet 39
Give me a smile and lighten my day
Tell me that you will always love me
Show me you love me in every way
Forever my love for you will always be
If you crave attention I will be there
And when you cry let me dry your eyes
When this world is too cold and unfair
I want to give you all my love inside
How I would do anything for you
No matter I tell you the very cost
You see my heart loves you it's true
And without your love my heart is lost
I want to share my life with you
Love is forever and ever how true

My Mistake
(p. sawyer/g. jones)
My mistake was to love you, girl
Love you, girl
My mistake was to give you all
Tell the world
First i had you
In the palm of my hand
But i let you slip through
Like rain to sand
At the beginning
When i didn't care
Like my own reflection
You were always there
My mistake was to love you, girl
Love you, girl
My mistake was to give you all
Tell the world
You were sweeter
Then my very own skin
But what did i do for you
Not a thing
In front of my friends
You broke me down
Since then darling
It's hard to track you down
My mistake was to love you, boy
Love you, boy
My mistake was to give my all
Tell the world
Many a smile
You put om ny face
But i paid dearly
With the tears i taste
My tenderness
Made you cold, not sweet
'cause if a girl loves you
You only call her weak
My mistake was to love you, boy
Love you, boy
My mistake was to give my all
Tell the world
My mistake was to love you, girl
Love you, girl
My mistake was to give you all
Tell the world

Give me love
Appreciate me for every diamond i'm worth
Never take me for granted or leave me in dirt
Cherish me as i love you
Give me the love love that i give you
Give me love please i beg of you
But not the love for a beggars soul
Give me love that is pure and true
Give me love of more worth than gold
I ask you for love that never grows old
I ask for love that never grows cold
That time cannot kill and words cannot low
I ask for love that can never be broken
That can withstand the world and any of its burdens
Please give me love that no eye has ever witnessed
Or love that no lips have ever spoken
Give me love that the world cannot tear
That can be ganged by darkness and never fear
Love that has more value than this earth
Love more valuable than any worth
For this is the love i give to you
So value me as i value you
Cause if i have no worth to you
Than what worth are you to me?
So please i beg of you my love
Give me the love that i give to you
I cannot love and never be loved
No...
I cannot be a diamond valued with rocks
When value more than this earth alone
But if you cannot return this love
And i have no more value than a rock
Than i shall value you too as so
And spare my heart the sorrow
Fore as i shall never know your love
Is as you shall never know mine.
