To Me, A Mystery
In some ways you choose to remain, to me, a mystery-
Wonder do I at thought of such: 'why...what for? '
Alas, the more I know about you-I love you more!
Know do I too, not is it I you fear, but your pain's 'history'!
You must know this though my bonnie lass:
Nary can cause repeat of hurt for you, being my cause-
Thought surely of my requited love enough to give pause!
In return, I offer you stewardship of my heart, made of glass!
Replete am I, heart and soul, with you in my embrace-
Harm shall ne'er come to you as long as I am alive,
To be the Prince worthy of my Princess, is what for I shall strive:
Wanton of naught in return, but witness to your grace!
The fates surely have been kind to me in their erudition:
To recompense their faith in us, I shall make my life's mission!

And Let Me See Your Circumstances
She said
'How will I know that I love him'
and she said 'you'll know at the time.'
'What time will that be
and why does Time have to be
the decider of my love needs? '
'When your body is ready
and the time is right-
and the person is right-
you will know
and you will be ready for love.'
'So' she said 'love is circumstance? '
'In some ways.'
'But if circumstance is what is required
what about me? she said.
My dear.I said, 'Romeo and Juliet fell in love in a bad
circumstance and all died in the end.
So circumstances matter.'
But I think love is irresistible
outside rationality.
Love is Ultimate Mystery.' she said.
'Only in the young.' she said
'As we mature
especially near 30
love becomes mostly circumstance
and moved mostly by rationality.'
'So are you saying maturity dictates
that we choose from among partners
available then
and is more decision than
true love's mystery.? '
Ah what I am saying
is that while young we choose
from mystery
and after the divorce
we are more governed by circumstance.
And choosing in weighing circumstance
is the height of rationality
and the opposite of mystery.'
'Ah' she said 'then in the end
all you are offering me is hard truth
and circumstance? '
'
No, I am saying love
is first wasted on the young
who cannot afford Love's Circumstances
and Love in later years
is given only to Youth's Survivors who
fight their way through
and beyond circumstance.
That is the real definition of maturity.
True Love survives Circumstances
and does not become
its victim.
'Oh, ' she said.
That too
is a hard truth.

Back To The Old Ways
Back to the old ways
It's been days
Since pen has tasted paper
Days since soul and heart thought together
Mind on fire
Situation dire
So much falling
I hear her voice calling
Just some light
Coming from both sides... how might
I choose where to go?
I honestly don't know
Yet I do
I know which ways, but by nature and my will
I wish to go toward the false light which could kill
Me, though it's wrong I still wish to pursue
The girl who
I claim to love... yes it's her yet what do I do?
To not go after her I must against my nature
To go after her I must subvert my faith.. all for her
It's back to my old ways
It's been days
Crying
Trying to decide
I know if I choose wrong the punishment then a chide
I think I choose the pure light
Did I choose right?

Divine protection?
Although we try, we can’t define the attributes of the divine
So most of us choose to accept what we are told; someone’s concept.
Is God a he? Is god a she, perhaps both simultaneously
Did God create the universe? Is curiosity our curse?
Is it right that we should fear god? I find this idea rather odd
It does not seem appropriate to live in fear the normal state.
Maybe God is a neutral source of power we can tap into
Though we are free to choose our course. Responsible for what we do
I do not know what I believe and I refuse to speculate
There’s nothing guessing will achieve I will not learn if I but wait.
Perchance we are collectively all tiny parts of one great whole
And will attain divinity, when we rejoin the over soul.
A theory you may reject and many will I must expect
alhough I say in its defence you must weigh up the evidence.
Consider what you have been taught, cast doubt on its validity
It may not be as you had thought, an absolute, a certainty.
The truth is that nobody knows. Because we aren’t intended to.
If we were wise we’d recognise some things are hidden from our eyes.
Because we could not comprehend the nature of divinity.
To suffering humanity God must remain a mystery.

To One Across The Way
When at your window radiant you've stood
I've sometimes thought-forgive me if I've erred
That some slight thought of me perhaps has stirred
Your heart to beat less gently than it should.
I know you beautiful; that you are good
I hope-or fear-I cannot choose the word,
Nor rightly suit it to the thought. I've heard
Reason at love's dictation never could.
Blindly to this dilemma so I grope,
As one whose every pathway has a snare:
If you are minded in the saintly fashion
Of your pure face my passion's without hope;
If not, alas! I equally despair,
For what to me were hope without the passion?

Sonnet: Choose The Things in Your Life
0 choose your friend who must be good as you;
And choose your spouse better than you; make sure;
And choose the one best as your Teacher too;
And choose ambitions that suit your nature.
0 choose the profession thats truly best;
And choose the hobbies that ne'er interfere;
And choose your Time to begin work, take rest;
And choose your enemies, you surely fear.
0 choose your food that gives extended health;
And choose your garments -comfortable wear;
And choose the honest way to added wealth;
And choose the burden right, body can bear.
0 choose the people who deserve help most;
And choose good principles, yet never boast.

Grown And Flown
I loved my love from green of Spring
Until sere Autumn's fall;
But now that leaves are withering
How should one love at all?
One heart's too small
For hunger, cold, love, everything.
I loved my love on sunny days
Until late Summer's wane;
But now that frost begins to glaze
How should one love again ?
Nay, love and pain
Walk wide apart in diverse ways.
I loved my love - alas to see
That this should be, alas!
I thought that this could scarcely be,
Yet has it come to pass:
Sweet sweet love was,
Now bitter bitter grown to me.

Always, In All Ways
For always, in all ways
You'll be in my mind
For always, in all ways
The words have been
So hard to find
I still remember you as a child
Holding you in my arms
The way you looked up to me
I thought that I'd always be
I'd be there beside you
For always, in all ways
For always, in all ways
You'll stay in my heart
For always, in all ways
This distance is too far apart
I thought you'd always be Daddy's child
Then suddenly you were grown
And now that you're on your own
Whenever you feel alone
I'll be there beside you
For always, in all ways
I never thought that
This day would come
When we'd have to say
Goodbye
But now that you're on your own
Whenever you need a home
I'll be there inside you always, in all ways
I'll be there inside you always, in all ways

What Right Have You?
What right have you
To lament your love
When the widowed lyrics of my unrequited love
Remain unread?
What right have you
To sing your sorrow
When the clenched rhythm of my forbidden sorrow
Remain unvoiced?
What right have you
To fake your fear
When the solitary tune of my pregnant fear
Remain unheard?
What right have you?

A Bruised Reed Shall He Not Break
I will accept thy will to do and be,
Thy hatred and intolerance of sin,
Thy will at least to love, that burns within
And thirsteth after Me:
So will I render fruitful, blessing still,
The germs and small beginnings in thy heart,
Because thy will cleaves to the better part.—
Alas, I cannot will.
Dost not thou will, poor soul? Yet I receive
The inner unseen longings of the soul,
I guide them turning towards Me; I control
And charm hearts till they grieve:
If thou desire, it yet shall come to pass,
Though thou but wish indeed to choose My love;
For I have power in earth and heaven above.—
I cannot wish, alas!
What, neither choose nor wish to choose? and yet
I still must strive to win thee and constrain:
For thee I hung upon the cross in pain,
How then can I forget?
If thou as yet dost neither love, nor hate,
Nor choose, nor wish,—resign thyself, be still
Till I infuse love, hatred, longing, will.—
I do not deprecate.

Sweet Mystery - Song Lyrics
Walked into a store
Started talkin' bout the Lord
The people told me to leave
Didn't want to hear it anymore
So I walked away dismayed
They thought they were being played
But little do they know
With Him they'll have it made!
Chorus:
Did you ever wonder
Why things happen as they do
The puzzle pieces don't fit
It's the old that makes things new
Cause He takes what is broken
Gets everything all fixed
Does it simply with love
He don't use any tricks
What a sweet mystery!
When I was back in school
I always acted like a fool
People thought that I was messed
But I thought that I was cool
When I got a little older
I started getting colder
Life started getting tough
I never used His shoulder
I tried to do it all myself
Threw my problems on the shelf
Hoped they would just go away
Wasn't good for my health
Chorus X 2
Did I plant one of your seeds?
Can You tell me when it grows?
Can You let me in on your plan?
Are You the only one that knows?
Do you want to keep me guessing?
Are you going to use him too?
Is this all a part of Your will?
Is this what you called me to do?
Chorus
What a sweet mystery!
What a sweet mystery!
Was blind but now I see
It's such a sweet mystery
What a sweet mystery!
What a sweet mystery!
Was blind but now I see
It's such a sweet mystery
It's such a sweet mystery
It's such a sweet mystery

Let The Mystery Be
[ iris dement ]
[ from her debut album: infamous angel ]
Chorus:
Everybodys wondering what and where they all came from
Everybodys worrying bout where theyre gonna go
When the whole things done
Nobody knows for certain,
And so its all the same to me
I think Ill just let the mystery be
Some say once gone, youre gone forever
Some say youre gonna come back
Some say you rest in the arms of the savior
If in sinful ways you lack
Some say that theyre comin back in a garden
Bunch of carrots and little sweet peas
I think Ill just let the mystery be
Some say theyre going to place called glory
And I aint sayin it aint a fact
But Ive heard that Im on the road to purgatory
And I dont like the sound of that
I believe in love and I live my life accordingly
But I choose to let the mystery be

The Poignant Consequence Of A Love, Ignored
You said that you love me, yet you do not know me;
You said that you love me-so, why do you not show me?
I wonder what your thoughts tell you now when no one is there! ?
Perhaps you may wonder why it is that I even care,
After you so unceremoniously discarded me with nary a second thought.
Perhaps you are ignorant now of all the dreams you sought
So long, and shared with me-it is not like you to give up;
I know who I am, and I know that I most certainly live up
To the man you need, it is you that shutters with fear
Of ghosts that haunt you-though, the reasons are not clear.
'What if...? ' should never be more important than what is,
And fear should never lead your actions, but is.
You show so much bravery and conviction in all you do,
But somehow only unto thine own self you have not remained true:
You do not fashion your want and needs, they fashion you.
You cannot simply ignore them, not when you possess this passion, to
Become who you know you can be-we are not 'unreal';
You cannot have this ardor and simply choose to unfeel
It-it defines who you are in so many ways.
Whether I am in your life, there are sure to be many days
Where these thoughts linger with you, and you begin to doubt
The wisdom of the decision to first seek your love, then cast it out-
As though the risks are not far outweighed by the rewards.
Alas, you now run away from the love that once ran towards:
Out of a sense duty to an ignorance that is assumed,
You now pretend, that a love that once consumed
You, does not exist and your life is not prime
For the glory of this fervor, sublime.
Instead, you pretend as though, your happiness does not matter;
You have allowed the reality you know exists, to scatter
From the realm of plausibility, to that of a love, lost.
Have you ever stopped to consider the cost
Of continued subjugation of you own hopes and dreams! ?
A heart withers if kept from that which it esteems
More than all else-a haven for both its guard and sustenance.
This is the reality of your loss-its poignant consequence!

Army of One
I do not see your intention.
Only my perception.
Actions must be clear.
As words can get misconstrued.
The intent behind an action,
Must have no expectation of other.
Only the will to achieve what it set out for.
Love is a choice, love is an action.
So is disappointment.
What do I choose?
I choose to be free.
Free of expectations, free of disappointment, free of fear.
To love unconditionally is the only way.
It is okay to be scared,
But it is not okay to let the fear control me.
If fear controls, fear wins.
If fear stops me, I have nothing to lose.
I have nothing to win either.
His will, my determination, my desire, His Glory.
I will lay my life down for such things.
For the battle has already been won.
When the battle line has been drawn,
It merely comes down to choosing which side I wish to fight on.
My side, or the right side.
I’ll choose the right side.
My side had many soldiers.
All fighting for their own causes.
The Many Armies of One.
The right side also had many soldiers.
An Army of One.
One army with one cause.
May His will be done.
For me, it already has!

Mystery Boy
Ooh mystery boy
Ooh mystery boy
Its too sad to point the finger
I told the boy to look at me
But what you say it never lingers
Its not what you say, but what you see
Boy look at me
I couldnt look no better see
Ooh mystery boy
Ooh mystery boy
Its too sad that love would sting you
You told the girl that it would be
A kind of love thats deep within you
A boys a boy, but did they say hed be
For eternity?
Or just a mystery
Ooh mystery boy
Ooh mystery boy
Ooh mystery boy
Ooh mystery boy
Mystery boy
Ooh
Ooh
Mystery mystery mystery boy
Its too sad to point the finger
I told the boy to look at me
Its too sad that love might sting you

Some kind of love thats deep within you
Some dream thats hard to see

Love Conquers All
Love can seem such a mystery
Confusing though it may be
It*s the one thing that we all need most
Love can make your world go round
Sometimes it can bring you down
Yet there*s no way to avoid the fall
Love conquers all
Love conquers all
Love conquers all
Love will finally bring us all
Together eventually
There*s only one road for us all
Releasing our fear of the unknown
Believing in what could be
Now it*s time for each of us to answer the call
Love conquers all
Love conquers all
Love conquers all
Love conquers all
Love conquers all
Sometimes love can be so true
Sometimes it*s running out on you
No matter how hard you try
You can*t avoid the fall
Only love conquers all
We can solve the mystery
Believe in what could be
Now its time for each of us
To answer the call
Love conquers all
Love conquers all
Love conquers all
Love conquers all
Love conquers all
We can solve the mystery

Two states
There are two states
One love
One hate
Two ways to go
At the fork in the road
Some choose left
Some choose right
And some sit up and think about it all through the night
And some walk straight through
Unplanned in what they 'ought to do'
And when you are young you can run down the street
But when you are old you have two left feet
There are two ways to go
One pace is fast, the other slow
Two ways to be
One stands in chains
While the other walks free
And there are two states of the heart
One love
One hate
So why do we hate the things we love?
And love the things we hate?
Is it because we're born into a 'divided state'
We hate the ones we love?
And love the ones we hate?
Too blind to see
Standing here in chains
When we were all born to be free.

In Your Own Ways
You are smart in your own ways
you are lovely in your own ways
you are beautiful in your own ways
You smile in your own ways
So crazy in your own ways
The madness of your own ways
such mysterious in your own ways
Those eyes of your own ways
You inspire me in your own ways
You talk in you own ways
you love me in your own ways
You suprise me in your own ways
Your kindness of its own kind
Your love of its own loveliness
your touch of its own comfort
And your kisses of its own sweetness
There is nothing so much worth to
treasure in my own ways than the
sweet memories of your own ways
Your life in your own ways
changes mine in its own way
God must have taken His own time
for sush a creation of its own kind
With everything in its own way
I must live your way.

I Choose You
(r palmer)
I choose you
When love comes along you go with the flow
You should trust your feelings on it
When you get hit by the arrow youll know
Cupids aim is always on it
Its half past two now
Your face is lovely
Its only lit by candlelight
Just me and you here
Our room is quiet
Only our sighs and whispers
You dont choose who you fall in love with
You dont mess with the gods of love
You cant choose who you fall in love with
So I choose you
When love comes along you go with the flow
You should trust your feelings on it
When you get hit by the arrow youll know
Cupids aim is always on it
You mesmerise me
My head is spinning
This is much more than fantasy
Lost in your kisses
My senses tingle
We lose our inhibitions
You dont choose who you fall in love with
You dont mess with the gods of love
You cant choose who you fall in love with
So I choose you
Ohohohah
I choose
I choose you
I choose
I choose you
I choose
Oh babe I choose you
I choose
I choose you
Whooo
You dont choose who you fall in love with
You dont mess with the gods of love
You cant choose who you fall in love with
So I choose you
Whoo
You dont choose who you fall in love with
You dont mess with the gods of love
You cant choose who you fall in love with
So I choose you
