Addiction of a poet

Addiction of a poet
~
The dull ache persists
a disquiet longing
the opium of my words
knowing only silence
leaves me feverish
the addiction of it
draws every breath
anxiety, confusion
eyes lost into a gaze
the urge, desire to write
to feed upon again
the opium of my words
to satisfy this hunger
and break down the wall
which blocks creation
still the ache lingers
unnecessary
I must write

Ache, Ache, Ache

Stay calm
Put your mask of indifferent
Stay in control
You have gone through the worse

Stand tall
Throw the pain to the wall
Spread the smile
Even to deceive a little longer

Before it consumes you
And ache, ache, ache
Before it defeat you
With ache, ache, ache
Whisper you to break
For ache, ache, ache
Pushing you to the world
Full ache, ache, ache

Keep moving
Your body needs the adrenaline
Keep struggling
You don't want to end here

Glare angrily
It's better than being a hopeless
Act strongly
Do not let it weakens your will

Because it starts throbbing
An ache, ache, ache
Because you don't need pity
Though ache, ache, ache
They waiting you to fall
By ache, ache, ache
And wish you to slowly die
In ache, ache, ache

Focus on your duty
Forget other unnecessary mind
Carry your burden
Even you have to endure it forever

Brace the inevitable
Never let anything get you down
Give up is losing
Whatever left for you to own

But it keeps reminding you
Till ache, ache, ache
But it rounds you to the corner
To ache, ache, ache
You don't know where comes
This ache, ache, ache
And how to stop or numb
The ache, ache, ache

The opium pen

The opium pen
~
I get high off this write
inhaling each word
which gives me a hunger
to bite into another verse
ingest further prose
I'm reeling onto the next line
and seeing things on my own
things few others see
that they find strange
but I'm addicted to this
there's ink in my soul now
its as much a part of me
as it is to the pen
I score with this ink
a trip of the mind
I found my opium
in the freedom of expression

Addiction

I have an addiction
that eats away at me
sadly there is no medical cure
for the habit that I have.
I have to feed its hunger everyday,
I tried to go cold turkey
and almost succeeded once
and stopped for almost seven years,
but its hunger kept breaking through.
Finally, I got to grips with myself
and said enough is enough
I am going to let my addiction go.
It was not that easy to break free
of something you have had
for almost half a century.
I had to try I said to myself
before it takes over my life itself.
Just as I was about to put
the last nail in its coffin
it escaped and got free.
Free to enslave me once again
to do its bidding.
I have given up now
to its craving of paper and pen
and to do its dance again and again.
What am I addicted too?
If by now you have not guessed,
my addiction must be pretty weak
as I am addicted to writing
at least one thing everyday.

A Poet To Be

A poet I claim not to be,
For words are never there.
In all the years I've tried to write,
I have no words to share.

I sit and think but nothing comes,
No inspiration here.
I want to write of anything,
But still no words I fear.

I read the works of other poets,
I wish I were like them.
How do they write such beautiful lines,
A poet, I'm not him.

I try to write from the heart,
From deep within my soul.
I try to write of the love I have,
But cannot reach my goal.

But why I ask, why can't I write,
Of love so pure and true.
Why can't I write about her eyes,
A mix of green and blue.

I want to write about her smile,
It brightens up my day.
I try to think of anything,
But words I cannot say.

I wish I knew how to write,
A poem with such bliss.
I wish I knew how to describe,
Her soft but tender kiss.

I cannot even begin to write,
How she holds me tight.
How her arms around me,
Makes everything just right.

A poet does not have to think,
The words flow right out.
When I sit and try to write,
I want to scream and shout.

I mean come on, how hard can it be,
To write about her hair.
Such long beautiful natural blonde,
That flows in the air.

I try to write about her laugh,
The words will not fly.
Time passes and finally,
I say it's soft and high.

It's been an hour and a half,
I'm here on verse twelve.
I had to go to Rhymezone,
To find out the rhyme is shelve.

A poet does not do that,
Go online to find a rhyme.
A poet has it in his head,
And can write at any time.

But a poet I am not,
For I cannot write of love.
How the girl I am with,
Is an angel from up above.

How I love her with all my heart,
And want to spend my life with her.
How her love for me is more,
Than I can ever be for sure.

As I draw near the end,
My mind is not so numb.
I realize I've just written of love,
A poet I have become.

Words

I write there, and then you write they’re
I write who, and then you write whom
I misspell my words, too me you then curse
Then you call me a stupid loon.
You call me names, from which I refrain
Then I am off to a different room.

I forget punctuation's, It gives you frustrations
I don't use a contraction, you give me verbal action
Then I misspell a word, you call me absurd
I give you my silence it’s my only reaction.
You call me a name, my innocence I proclaim
My humility is seems, is your only satisfaction.

I sit at my typewriter, I still am a fighter
As I close my eyes, words still materialize
Words are my friends, rhyming is my sin
Maybe someday that, you will realize.
I finish another poem, to the world I show them
I write another verse, it becomes my universe.

You are my inspiration, my poems your creation
You correct what I write, it gives you such delight
You enjoy to respell, at words which you excel
You tell me they are wrong, I know you are right.
But you still are my friend, I hope it will never end
I am the poet, your a wordsmith and you show it.

I Need You, I Want You

satisfy my hunger, satisfy my greed

satisfy my longing, satisfy my need

satisfy my yearning, satisfy my desire

satisfy my craving, with your hose put out my fire

Take me to paradise, take me away

Take me to heaven, every single day

Feed me with your passion, feed me with your soul

Feed me with your fruit, feed me with your control

I need you to want me, I need you to be here

I need you to control me, for you are my puppeteer

Control me with your love, control me with your mind

control me however you want. I do not mind

For I am under your spell, and whatever you want i will give

For without you i am nothing, without you i do not want to live

The Poet Despairs

THE POET DESPAIRS

The poet despairs,
He cannot write-
All his thoughts and words are confusion.
He has lost who he is,
And does not know why he is in the world.
The poet cannot write
He is no longer a poet
He does not know why
But he can no longer be.
Oh how he loves Poetry
And how he is tormented
By having lost it.

Why Do I Write

I write from my sadness
I write from the madness
I write because I have something to say
I write to pass the day
I write only from the heart
I write for sometimes I am not that smart
Whatever is in head just comes out on paper (in this case a word document) , and I go with the flow
Write to let my mind go

I follow my hand to where ever it takes me
I write all the things that I can see
I write when I am happy, but not as much
I write from my heart that you can touch
I write because I’d go insane
I am driven to write quell my pain

At times I feel alone so I write what I am feeling
I write for it is self-healing
Confident not so I write it all away
I write and write to pass the day
I write to comfort my soul that cries out in the night
I write for love is always out of sight
I write so I don't have to cry any more
I write for I have no one to adore
I write so someone somewhere will hear my plea
I write for someone is out there for me
I am lost and I the clown
I write to turn my frown upside down

I write to embrace the sadness I hide inside
I write with my heart opened wide
I write to silence the ghost
I write for I’ve been let down by the one I loved the most
I write through the stormy weather
I write for I am light as a feather
I am not a writer nor am I a poet
I write for the grief I do know it

I will write until I draw my last breath
I write because I'll die a lonely death
I have to write for strangers delight
I write because I have to write
I write for my own happiness
I write to relieve my stress
I write because I have no other choice
I write as if I was writing a letter
I write because I can’t do any better
I write because I am afraid not to
I write for this is what I do
I write for I give a damn
I write just because I am

On Writing a Poem

I yearned to be a Poet someday;
Enthrall the literary world someway;
I knew to write a good Poem,
Was not quite easy- from my mom!

Of all the many talents I’d got;
My one thing-my Poetic thought;
From the Heavens like a thunder-squall,
Master-like, I began to enthrall.

Even my wife, she makes some fun
Of me- Poet? I like to pun,
With words; and under the Sun,
I will be great and try to stun.

The urge to be a good Poet,
Persists to goad me on and on;
So, now and then, I tried to write,
And whenev’r the lines are born!

Many a talent, I possess,
I will also become famous;
If my one Talent, I pursue,
Very soon, limelight will ensue.

Whatev’r thy aim, begin, one must;
Swim, one day, the unchartered sea;
Success will come to a brave heart;
That keeps writing with immense glee.

This stress though strange, I’ve suffer’d;
To struggle thus, undeciphered;
‘Tis a worthy cause and the fame,
Everlasting shall end the game.

Poetry, addiction to some,
Like cannabis, heroin, rum;
A Poet should best deliver,
But God is the sole Giver!

No matter all the blunders writ,
Despite critics calling unfit;
One stealthily makes progress,
In any field to bring success.

With time, the poem gets mended!
Hours of hard labor seem ended;
All is so well that ends so swell!
The Poet happily will revel.

Not all need win laurels, acclaim,
Man must his creator proclaim;
God’s love of Mankind, knows no bounds;
And haunts us tenderly, all around!

Feed the Need In Me

Bleeding...
Desire!
I wish to satisfy...
A smoldering tempered fire,
Inside of me.

Hungered from the pain,
Sustaining that remains,
To feed!
And wishes quick release.
That leaves me wanting...
With urges to feed,
This need in me!
And I am haunted!
With wants to be set free...
And emptied!

Feed...
The need in me!
Whenever I'm overcomed,
I'm wishing more than some.
And I am needing...
To be free,
Of a bleeding need...
To feed and breathe!

Feed...
The need in me.
I wish to satisfy...
This hunger here inside!

Feed...
The need in me.
Wanting to be free,
To explore my destiny.

Feed...
The need in me.
I wish to satisfy...
This hunger denied,
In me!

Bleeding...
Desire!
I wish to satisfy...
A smoldering tempered fire,
Inside of me.

I want and wish,
A happiness complete...
And free of bleeding need!

You are my opium

Is it a mystery to love you so,
Is it a myth that i cant forget you,
Is it a joke that i cry at times,
Is it a spell that im addicted
I search answers but reach none,
I search thought and reach some,
Its true, you are my opium

Did i forget to say bye,
Did i just shed a tear,
Did i just walk away,
Manhood and bravity,
Just to prove im a gentleman
Kiss me again and again
Just to prove you are my opium

I tell you i love you,
Just to prove im a gentleman,
You tell me i can go far,
Just to prove you are my opium
I tell you im sorry,
But you tell me otherwise
Just to prove you are my opium

Where are the stars,
Where is my old life,
You made me new,
You shuffled my life,
Just to prove you are my opium

Shampoo

Youre the shampoo in my eyes
You are the salt in my wounds
A necessity in life
But always in the wrong place
Youre the thorn in my side
You ache and ache and ache
Still I cant live without
You will be in me
Youre the warmth in the eyes
Not knowing what to do
Should you laugh or should you cry
You lead me to the wrong place
Youre the thorn in my side
You ache and ache and ache
Still I cant live without
You will be in me

Places To Inspire

There are places in this world,
that when you are there inspire
you to do things
associated with that place.
Some are artistic and others of prayer.
I have been to both
and the validity of those words I can swear.

Once I went to Knock
the most holy place in Ireland.
A place where serenity
hangs over everything.
A feeling of something beautiful
comes over you.
That you never want to leave.

Another place is Stratford,
the birthplace of the bard.
Any would be poet,
can’t help to be inspired there.
It has to be something in the air.
Words just keep forming lines in your head,
and urge you to write them down.
Therefore, you feed your compulsion
and a new poem is found.

So if you are feeling,
the need to write, but can’t.
Go to Stratford on Avon,
and change the situation around.
You will find yourself inspired,
under the eyes of the bard,
when you follow the Shakespeare way.

A Song About You

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

I would write about how
You’re all I can every think about
How you flood my dreams each night
How thinking of you takes my breath away
When I look up to the satellites

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

I would write about how
The long lost butterflies returned
How I hope my number you’ll dial
And how your memory smothers me with smiles

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

I would write about how
You were the only one
Who had enough of me to break my heart
And when love took over my heart
You tore it all apart.

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

I would write about how
I gave you my heart
Caught up in the thought
That we were off to a great start
But how you threw a damn dart
Right into the center of my heart

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you
About how you crushed my heart
Not bothering to look back.

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

That's How Close I Am

Writing is my addiction.
If I'm not able to do it...
I suffer withdrawal anxiety.
I carry a pad and pen.
And if for some reason,
I forget or misplace them...
The breath from me,
Seems to be squeezed.
And I know I show I am paniced.
As if I hear my 'children' weeping...
In a desperate seeking for me.

That's how close I am to what I do!

Writing is my addiction.
I'm always in need of a fix.
And if I'm not able to do it...
I suffer withdrawal anxiety quick.
And if for some reason,
I forget or misplace them...
The breath from me,
Seems to be squeezed.
And I know I show I am paniced.
When I am not prepared to receive a 'flow'.

For Whom Do We Write?

for whom do we write?
for us, we beg the world
to know what we are in the realm
and bounds of our words
our sadness & madness
our longing for love
unrequited our desire to
taste what passion is
that which the bed cannot
speak that which the
blankets cannot fully give in
to warmth and
lust.

for whom do we write?
we write for those passions
those explosions of suppressed
feelings long kept inside the steel
boxes of our hearts
we write for those lamentations
of love rejected and those
dreams that simply die
even before they were born
for those eggs
that never became chickens.

forgive me, but i write
because i have nothing else to do
about my life
forgive me for exposing the
truths
about us, this existential angst
lost in the labyrinths
of the empty
shell.

Doll Parts

I am doll eyes
Doll mouth, doll legs
I am doll arms, big veins, dog bait
Yeah, they really want you, they really want you, they really do
Yeah, they really want you, they really want you, but I do too
I want to be the girl with the most cake
I love him so much it just turns to hate
I fake it so real, I am beyond fake
And someday, you will ache like I ache
Someday, you will ache like I ache
I am doll parts
Bad skin, doll heart
It stands for knife
For the rest of my life
Yeah, they really want you, they really want you, they really do
Yeah, they really want you, they really want you, but I do, too
I want to be the girl with the most cake
He only loves those things because he loves to see them break
I fake it so real, I am beyond fake
And someday, you will ache like I ache
Someday you will ache like I ache

This Is who I Am

Theres heart-ache where these tears come from. Attached to them a life time of hurts caused by too many hopes gone awry.

Theres heart-ache buried so deep in this heart that its hard to seperate where the heart-ache ends and anger begins.

Anger strong enough to break through any kind of heart-ache.

Anger that paralyzes the heart to stone. Making it unbreakable to any heart-ache. Making it unbreakable for those that cause that heart-ache.

coupled with that anger is regrets and self-pity.

Drowning in them but at sinful piece.

This is what i'm used to.

This is who i am.

This is what i know, understand.

This all consuming emotion that builds day-2-day behind blu eyes that smile at every joke that goes bad.
