Meeting

Evening dimmed, like ourselves charmed
With this first warmth of the spring.
Stirring alive, Arbat was alarmed;
With sympathetic tenderness, the kind
Gale touched us with a tired wing.
In our souls, raised on a fairy tale,
Sorrow quietly cried for past things.

He came - so unexpected! So hurriedly -
He who helped in all things before.
And far off in a line unconsolably
The streetlamps' radiant dots
Burned though light darkness some more…
All around flowers we bought;
We bought a bouquet.. What for?

Quietly withered away unseen garden
In the sky violet-red.
How to be saved from late trouble?
All returned. For a moment? For long?
We speechlessly looked at sun going to bed,
And Gogol nodded, thoughtful, from
The pedestral like a brother, sad.

I'm Alive (That Was The Day My Dead Pet Returned To Save My Life)

I was just kicking down the street
And the sun was in my eyes
So I couldn't see the truck
That was sixty times my size
And just seconds off from splattering me
Let me tell you
I was so scared I couldn't move
Like my boots were full of glue
Then I felt a little tug
And I thought of good Old Blue
And he pulled me from that catastrophe
That was the day
My dead pet returned to save my life
I'm alive
He's alive
I'm alive
I was spitting in the canyon
Near the cliff up on the mountain
When an unexpected sneeze
Hung me in the breeze
At forty five degrees in the sky
Suddenly I felt something
Had me by the belt
And in between my praying
Swore I heard a stallion neighing
Was the ghost of my horse
And I cried, yes I cried
That was the day
My dead pet returned to save my life
That was the day
My dead pet returned to save my life
I'm alive
He's alive
Hey, I'm alive
Things were getting gory
Got caught on territory
Belonging to the Crutches
In an alley in their clutches
Looking kind of dismal that night
Well the leader's name was Fats
Swinging broken baseball bats
Things got really frantic
Starting jumping in their panic
That was the day
My dead pet returned to save my life
That was the day
My dead pet returned to save my life
I'm alive, I'm alive, real alive
That was the day my dead pet returned
That was the day my dead pet returned
That was the day my dead pet returned
That was the day my dead pet returned
To save my life
Hallucinating billions of rats
Lots of rats
I'm alive, I'm alive
He's alive, he's alive, he's alive
I'm alive, yeah
He's alive, he's alive
I'm alive, real alive
Alive, alive, alive
Alive, alive, alive, alive
Alive, alive, alive, alive
I'm alive

An enviromental Poem

In your garden, in your house
Tip-toe quietly like a mouse.
You never know what you might find
A squirrel, a dog, or an animal of a different kind!

Out in the bushes, behind the trees
Get down quietly on your knees.
You might see an ant going back to its nest,
Or maybe a robin with its bright red breast.

In the greenhouse where lots of things grow
There are more than just plants in there, you know!
If you look closely you will see lots of things,
Maybe a ladybird with its transparent wings!

In your garden, in your house
Tip-toe quietly like a mouse.
You never know what you might find
A squirrel, a dog, or an animal of a different kind!

Joy greets you at doorstep, Sorrow awaits you in drawing room

Half moon in the mid of cloudless sky
Chillness in air despite nearing summer
Things looked bright even with not-functional street lights

I was enjoying a merry running to the street corner shop
To fetch betel leaf and nuts for my mother and aunt
Both resting at home after an eventful festive evening
And a grand reasonably early dinner

I was happy because at home there was peace
And all kids, including my cousins, having a great time
I felt lucky for having been chosen to perform
This service

I was proud as the women folk at home said
That I would get the best betel leaves
Tender and juicy, as I know how to pick up
These made me rush from home
And ended up in a joyful double up run

Everything was fine
Some elderly was asking me, whom I did not answer
“Why running, my boy”

That was the mind set with which
I kept running
I had to stop suddenly because
A thinly built but taller than me boy
Also running opposite jumped in front of me

Before I could understand and say something
The boy slapped on my left cheek
Did not say a thing
Moved towards my right and
Continued running

It took sometime for me synthesize the happening
I stood there for seconds
Looked back to see the running hitter
As I am not knowing even now
The reason for his slapping

Was it because I came on his way
I quietly walked; I dropped the idea of running,
Fearing another slap
Bought the leaves and nuts
With no words uttered and in a
Very thoughtful mood

Returned home with no cheers
But a saw in my family the same joy, they had when I left

Who was that boy
Why did he slap me

Joy does not last long sorrow comes immediately after that
Was the lesson I learnt
And this lesson proved to be right
As the very next week my mother breathed her last

Fusing

You lay now on your silver bed
flowers all around

and that seems right;

always you were the last
having brought your book to the party
to the last to leave cleaning up
arms always full
of emotional gifts
for each and everyone
who took shelter within them,
there was always with them
an inexhaustible supply of love
gentle hope transferred to the hopeless
who came away still warms from those arms touch
from those late night talks
supports given and renewed and
all able to make a new way back to the light.

All knew how limitless was your giving
but few noticed the toll it took
because you made those tolls invisible.

Who knew your way of being
left you exhausted in the long nights
where nonetheless the next day
you made your self recover
or even took the dead of night phone call
from each and every one
who never noticed in you
any hesitancy
only your giving;

never had a cat or dog
people took from you all the time
you always gave more than asked for.

It was you who cooked the potluck dinners
made the small loans
so many times
helped to comb
the papers
with those whom needed a job
your thin arms
pointing to this one or that one.

On the day of interview
it was you standing outside
even in the dead of winter
to see how it had gone
to take the job seeker
out for coffee or dinner
always there to celebrate
every minor miracle
there was
for one or many.

If Devotion is true friendship
then it utters your name
if love of the other has any substance
then it came from your hands.

if drugs could be conquered
it was because
those times heads lay in your lap
til dawn
alive again
against the overdose.

And now
for you it is this silver slab
but I saw from the moment you closed your eyes
I saw your spirit
fly
away
to nestle
quietly
in the hearts you touched
and in the lives you saved.

Farewell
my love
to you
to whom
all my heart
given
was yet another one
touched by you
and as I weep beside you
I feel your soul rise
our two souls
then fusing.

Good bye
and Goodbye again
and thanks to you
for all you have given
us
survivors
who now
will
see
that your spirit
continues to live.

We all came down
to the morgue
before they took you off to potters field
but it didn't matter
it was fitting that you were the only one
there
with flowers.

tailing Tale

in the garden of the east
i saw the pink fairy fly
sparkling trails i saw her leave
as i've seen in picture books

fascinated by this wonder
i followed through the woods
as though guiding me in a dream
it gently slowly led me on

through the garden of the east
into woods and fields
by the brooks and the streams
i just kept on going

wondrous were those sights
of lovely flowers and heady scents
'twas a fairy tale garden indeed
an' i thought it all a fantasy

humming bees and butterflies
led me to that tree
where i saw my fairy perched
on a tiny flower

on that magic pear tree
hung two magic pears
it was not for me i knew
it could have been for you

the air was a sharp delight
the wind was crisp and light
the colors of the evening
had drawn together there

in that magic moment
as me and the fairy stared
the air went suddenly still
and the pears went out of view

it was nothing but a twinkle
like the glitter on a diamond
a beauty to behold
but never to be held

fairy tales have meaning
its always been so
still, for all my searching
i don't find none in here

About The Tomorrow

Don't worry so much about the tomorrow
For life doesn't only show you sorrow

So be happy and try to forget
All bad things in your life you have met

For good and bad and all kind of things
Come rushing towards you in a ring

So try to pick and avail these chance
And see how joy can be bought in advance

For once if you'll learn to handle with care
All sorts of trouble and distress my dear

Then you'll know that life not only show you sorrow
But there're chances of some nice and bright tomorrow.

The Lovely Lady Linnea

A winsome lass I spied one day
Who cared not for herself.
As she went on her winsome way,
She thanked God for her health.
From street-to-street and road-to-road,
She raised funds for the poor
And so her blessings overflowed
As she knocked door-to-door.
With total love her foremost thought,
Her soft voice spoke to me.
I told her of the things I'd bought
Supporting charity.
I passed them to their High Street shops,
Where they'd be sold anew
And so the blessing never stops,
As I bade them, 'Adieu! '
To hold things back, while others starve,
Is cruelty indeed.
The world is one big cake to carve,
Yet still some pray in need.
She made me think of years ago,
When charities helped me,
When savings were so hard to grow -
Ask any family...
When I looked back, my heart gave thanks.
I promised that I'd give
And as before, from out my banks,
My money helped some live.
Though I may never know their names,
I've helped fulfil God's plan.
Like Jesus, Peter, John and James,
I've helped my fellow man.
The winsome lass continued on...
Another street to bless...
And in a moment she was gone...
With smiles of happiness...

Flightless (age 16)

*On that glorious night an 'Angel' appeared
With eyes as green as the exotic mountains
The 'Angel' sparkled like the beautiful stars that the world got trapped beneathe
Soaring through the gental hum of the night breeze
The 'Angel' saw the most beautiful 'Fairy' ever seen
All life had stopped as the 'Angel' flew down beside the beauty
The 'Fairy' was laying on the ground with broken wings
Startled by the 'Angel', the 'Fairy' sat up with tears of emptiness
With each fall of pain, it stained the earth; it stained the air
The 'Angel' looked upon the 'Fairy' mesmorized at those 'burning eyes'
Gazing up at the 'Angel' with complete adoration
For the 'Fairy' had never seen such beauty, such gorgeousness
The 'Angel' stood there infatuated
They both fell into eachothers eyes; into their souls
As though the rest of the world had been obliterated from all existance
Eye meets eye, beauty meets beauty
The 'Fairy's' pain vastly turned to passionate respect
So much energy without a single touch
For it would be a Dream to be touched by one so ostentaious
They closed their eyes and percieved eachothers soul
Inches away from one anothers warmth
They looked longingly into eachothers mysterious eyes
Then the 'Angel' grabbed the 'Fairy's' hand with passion
The 'Fairy' touched the 'Angel's' velvet skin
Such exoticness filled the air as their mystical souls embraced
They were captivated only able to see one another
The 'Angel' of beauty held Me closely as we erotically kissed under the moodlight
For his intoxicating eyes, his glorifying smile, and his gorgeous mind is all that I needed
He helped me fly again
That 'Angel' helped me fly!

No Step

I looked out of my window, saw a stencil black,
No step. no step.
There were nervous mothers with children crying in the back.
No step. no step.
Someone bought me my ticket, now Im on the wing.
Hope my angels are watching me, do I hear them sing?
No step. no step.
Those afterburners cut in and kicked us high.
No step. no step.
The thin air shimmered, the sun cut through and burned my eye.
No step. no step.
Someone bought me my ticket, now Im on the wing.
Hope my angels are watching me, do I hear them sing?
No step.
No step no step.
No step no step.
No step no step.
Give me a jet stream schooner or a crew-legged goose.
No step. no step.
Im a clear-air jockey when they turn me loose
No step. no step.
Someone bought me my ticket to the captains seat.
Will the shakes soon leave me, will I find my feet?
No step. no step.
No step. no step.
No step.

Clean Coal?

She worked the counter
at the local diner.
He worked in the caves.
He was a miner.
They both left for work
early every day.
Returned in the evening
with not too much to say.
Too tired to talk
They ate quietly.
They accepted their fate
and the monotony.

She was used to the siren
that sounded the alarm.
Workers in the mine
had come to some harm.
She would leave her job
and run to the site,
saying the words
that she prayed every night.
'Please God have mercy
on my man.
Bring him out alive
if you can.'

And when she saw him
she held him and cried,
happy he was safe,
sad that others died.
They went back home
with not too much to say.
For tomorrow would come
and they needed the pay.
So back to the mine
and the diner they went.
It was their way of living.
They had to pay rent.

Garden of Life

A garden of life is again a garden that I desire,
It grows from a point and a line that I concoct,
The real line is here, the garden is upon us.
What can May bring towards the end of the day?
It is summer evening, gardener of the week is absent
To feel fellowship with flowers and with plants and with trees.
Why do the seasons give in? What do you do in the night?
The day felt a picture too bold for the night, which was kind,
I like it when heat has ridden past the day.

Violets For Your Furs

Tom adair / matt dennis
It was winter in manhattan
Falling snowflakes filled the air
The streets were covered with a film of ice
But a little simple magic that Id heard about somewhere
Changed the weather all around, just withn a trice
You bought me violets for my furs
And it was spring for a while, remember?
You bought me violets for my furs
And there was april in that december
The snow drifted on the flowers and melted where it lay
The snow looked leke dew on the blossoms
As on a summer day
You bought me violets for my furs
Aand there was blue in the wintry sky
You pinned the violets to my furs
And gave a lift to the crowds passing by
You smiled at me so sweetly
Since then one thought occurs
That we fell in love completely
The day you bought me violets for my furs

Flowers

(orbison/dees)
When I was a boy I ran among the flowers
Looking left and right at the bright array
I played through the spring, whiled away the hours
Lingered with the flowers every day
Flowers, pretty flowers, flowers, lifes bouquet
Flowers, pretty flowers, flowers, along the way
Flowers, pretty flowers, flowers, lifes bouquet
Flowers, pretty flowers, flowers, along the way
When the summer ends and the storms of life are over
When the winter comes and the petals fall away
They may write it on my stone, he was just a roller
But he stopped to pick some flowers along the way
Flowers, pretty flowers, flowers, lifes bouquet
Flowers, picked some flowers, along the way

and began to undress
and she said Wait there’s

the question of the fare
here I think it’s less the

fare too and he nodded
again and removed his

shirt and she raised a
finger saying Hold on a

minute there’s the matter
of the cost of the hotel room

and less the price of that and
he paused undressing with one

slowly taking it all onboard and

took money from his wallet and
said You’re a demanding broad.

Friendship With The World

Friendship with this evil world turns your Love for God into hatred,
As one who is a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God instead.

We were bought out of this Market of Sin when Christ died and bled,
Christians are alive in Christ and to this world we should be dead.

As Believers we are the Body of The Church and Christ is the Head,
And rather than following The Lord's lead we go our own way instead.

But once saved by His Grace we should have only one thing in mind,
That of course is sharing The Good News of God with All of mankind.

As Paul said that some are ignorant of God and this is to our shame,
Many go on quietly believing in The Lord as they profess His Name.

He also said Come back to your senses as you ought and stop sinning,
We still have the same task at hand, which is serious Soul Winning.

Just look around and you can see a true Darkness that seems to lurk,
For the Day is almost over and Night is coming when no one can work.

And as days get darker and much more evil we must redeem the time,
For we have been bought for a purpose and my life is no longer mine.

Paul makes it clear, that to this world we are not to be conformed,
Instead through The Holy Spirit our hearts should be transformed.

For God and Christ, it was serious work when He died for you and me,
And we are obligated to live Sanctified lives so others can believe.

Rose Garden

I watched you in your
garden,
Roses growing every-
where.
Flowers were so lovely,
Perfume filled the air.

Touching them so
gently,
Creating a bouquet,
Tieing yellow
ribbons,
So they would'nt blow
away.

As I left the garden,
On that summer day
I turned and looked
once more,
Then slowly walked
away.

I admire your lovely
garden,
So happy I would be,
If I were the rosebud,
You touched so
tenderly.

Lewis Carroll

My Fairy

I have a fairy by my side
Which says I must not sleep,
When once in pain I loudly cried
It said "You must not weep"
If, full of mirth, I smile and grin,
It says "You must not laugh"
When once I wished to drink some gin
It said "You must not quaff".

When once a meal I wished to taste
It said "You must not bite"
When to the wars I went in haste
It said "You must not fight".

"What may I do?" at length I cried,
Tired of the painful task.
The fairy quietly replied,
And said "You must not ask".

Moral: "You mustn't."

I was dumbfounded

When I was a student
I bought a box of chocolates
one evening at a café
to give as a gift
to a girl

who chatted with me
in class and with whom
I had a walk
and a talk that afternoon

and she was really pretty,
far past cute
and the sky glittered
in her grey-green eyes.

The box looked inviting
beyond the glass
and I bought an apple there
later a pear
which I gobbled down

and at twenty one
I experienced how astounding
new love could be
and was more dumbfounded
that she really liked me.

Chevrolet Deluxe

I had a wife and kid, and I tried to settle down
I just wanted to live an honest life on the edge of an honest town.
But in the end they left me danglin danglin (in the night? )
And I went crazy tryin, tryin to walk that thin line.
Oh chevrolet deluxe, I bought you with all your accessories,
Oh chevrolet deluxe, I bought you with all your accessories,
But mister, I cant keep my payments up
I lie awake at night and wonder if Im tough enough
To win back the hand of chevrolet deluxe.
......
They shut the power off down at the mill (the count the third time? )
And these days when you ride down main street
Its just whitewashed windows and vacancy signs
Did you ever think til the end your kids you would never believe
That if you would leave this old town, that it would leave me.
My brothers down in ft bragg, been there for half a year
Man he just got into too much trouble around here.
Chevrolet deluxe, I bought her with all the accessories,
But mister, I cant keep those payments up
Chevrolet deluxe, I lost my heart, I lost my guts....
......
She was sittin down at highway chevrolet out on route 3
She was looking like she was waitin just for me
I worked all summer long and I saved my money up
And I went down and I put that money down
In the fall, billy, (...? )
I drove him down rode down together down to fort bragg
In the years that he was gone (...? )
(...? ) in the refinery (...? ) go along
Chevrolet deluxe, I bought her with all the accessories,
(...? )
Another year end gone, and billy he came home
(...? )
But it was like all of a sudden there was a curse
Things got band and things got worse
Hmmm... went the power there down at the mill
Hmmm... the thrill when they shut the power down at the mill
(...? )
Chevrolet deluxe, I bought her with all the accessories,
But I cant keep those payments up
Chevrolet deluxe
(...? ) you were so clear to see
Now when I wake in the mornging I dont know whats happening to me
Chevrolet deluxe, I bought her with all the accessories,
Mister I cant keep those payments up
Chevrolet deluxe you let me down took the heart right out of me
I saw her when I was 17 down at hansens chevrolet
I made up my mind to get her any how, any way.
That whole summer I worked until I had enough
Then I went and put my money down on that chevrolet deluxe.
[...]
Chevrolet deluxe, I bought her with all the accessories,
But mister, I cant keep those payments up
Chevrolet deluxe, I lost my heart, she took my gut...
It dont matter what you want, it dont matter what you say,
Are you tough enough not to play the way they play.
