Night Dreams

They come and quickly go
Revealing joy, concerns, even cries.
Incredible stories we didn't know
Lively unfold before our eyes.

Past experiences may be shaped
In new contexts around,
And every image created
has the power of a life bond.

Stories

Through every window, we look out
what we see on the other side
holds many stories waiting to unfold.
Stories of great achievements
within someone’s life.
Stories of gathering love
found with in open arms.
Stories of perusing heartaches
where someone has gone away.
Stories a million fold
that surround every living thing.
Stories we are not aware of,
but happen before our eyes.
Stories to share with all
from those who can see them unfold.
The next time you look out a window
try and see what is really there,
the stories that are everywhere.

God Created The Lamb And The Tiger Also

When God created the world, called it 'GOOD',
He didn't say some is good, some is bad, but this is our lively hood.
That is how here is only the LAW, where we can choose,
Life or malediction, positive or negative, hope or fear or we loose.

Some was created to follow the law,
Some to play out the law as a flaw,
Everything is just a passing play on the stage,
Go on, face your lessons, get wiser with age.

After many experiences you can figure out your part,
Whatever it is your part, play it with all your heart.
Do not try to be what you are not created,
Just follow your inner feelings, do not complicate, be right spirited.

However, the wise will find the way to fate,
Will choose life and never malediction & never hate,
They will live in perfect harmony,
No matter what goes on in the surrounding irony.

Remember, we cannot force the world for our will,
We can change only ourselves, then will disappear all the ill.

Valentine Comp Poem 2

The heart shaped card with pretty words
Be my Valentine, my dear
Is there because the poor old man
Knows if the old lady doesn’t get one
She’ll box his blinkin’ ears

Author’s Note:

This little poem was read out on radio between 10 February and 13 February and won a box of heart shaped chocolates for my lady fair.

Yes Yes

when God created love he didn't help most
when God created dogs He didn't help dogs
when God created plants that was average
when God created hate we had a standard utility
when God created me He created me
when God created the monkey He was asleep
when He created the giraffe He was drunk
when He created narcotics He was high
and when He created suicide He was low

when He created you lying in bed
He knew what He was doing
He was drunk and He was high
and He created the mountians and the sea and fire at the same time

He made some mistakes
but when He created you lying in bed
He came all over His Blessed Universe.

I Believe In the Power

I believe in the power of you.
As the rain falls upon us and
everyone else scatters.

I believe in the power of you.
As I look into the shadowy pools
of your mysterious eyes.

I believe in the power of you.
As I fall into your arms always
trusting you to catch me.

I believe in the power of you.
As you listen while I pour my
heart and I cry my eyes out to you.

I believe in the power of you.
As I sit and listen to your
words, your wisdom filtering your deep voice.

I believe in the power of you.
As I lay in your warm embrace
feeling protected and cherished.

I believe in the power of you.
As you turn away and walk out
the door, promising to come back.

I believe in the power of you.
As I sit waiting patiently
for some sign of you to return.

I believe in the power of you.
As even now I doubt all my
faith in the one person I truly love.

I believe in the power of you.
As I sit here crying and swearing
wishing you could hear me.

I believe in the power of you.
As I begin to lose passion for
everything I loved when I was with you.

I believe in the power of you.
As I lay dying in bed suffering
from a broken heart.

I believe in the power of you.
As I close my eyes and an
image of you forms in my mind.

I believe in the power of you.
As I begin to feel a rage that
is red hot and will not go away.

I believe in the power of myself.
As i see your true image; a true
image of who you are inside.

I believe in the power of myself.
As I begin to build my life up and
start doing the things I enjoy.

I believe in the power of myself.
As I understand the things that
were so illusive to me before.

I believe in the power of myself.
As I take back your control over
me and start living my life.

I believe in the power of myself.
As I no longer believe in the
power of you.

I believe in the power of myself.
As you and your power
no longer affects me.

I believe in the power of myself.
As I begin to love the one true
person I've forgotten in all of this

Me.

Burning Question

Do you believe there is a God?
and if you do pray tell me why.
Myself I find it rather odd.
I do believe I would reply.

I do believe I have no doubt
Though I cannot prove it’s so.
Despite the stories told about
God. Nobody seems to really know.

If God created man or he
created God so he would be
a whipping boy who we could blame
or pour out blessings on his name.

When everything goes right for us.
Does God exist omnipotent?
And do we make him furious
because we’re always discontent.

And if you do can you explain
why God created bad and good
and why must we experience pain.
You cannot I didn’t think you could.

Shaped For Service

We are formed by The Creator, in the image of God, our Savior,
And God created each one of us, for His pleasure and purpose,
Shaped by the Hand of God, for service while upon earth’s sod,
From His Truths there’s no escape, as God molds us into shape.

Spiritual Gifts were given to all, to cover all needs big and small,
The needs, that God did foresee, covering the scope of Eternity,
Gifts, God provided to everyone, to serve The Body of His Son,
To all men God had skilled, to finish the Church, Christ will build.

Hearts by Christ, have been filled, for His Purpose, as He willed,
Filled with passion for God’s plan, to reach for Christ every man,
With God’s Gospel of Salvation, preaching Truth to every nation,
Until all upon earth have heard, the saving message of His Word.

Abilities that we have naturally, are used throughout God’s family,
In those everyday tasks and deeds, while caring for others needs,
Serving The Lord in ordinary ways, all for God’s Glory and Praise,
For it’s God who we seek to please, even with our natural abilities.

Personality The Lord did impart, for His purpose, into every heart,
For diversifying the passion of, our Lord God, Who reigns above,
All believers still of one accord, with various passion for the Lord,
As The Spirit uses every individual, in full harmony with God’s will.

Experiences by God are aligned, in each life, just as He designed,
Using all situations of this life, experiences of peace and of strife,
For Testimonies of God’s Grace, as we move from place to place,
To be a help and encouragement, wherever, by Christ, we are sent.

We are shaped for God’s Ministry, while living this side of Eternity,
Saved and called by Jesus Christ, to be for God a living Sacrifice,
Gifted by God and then authorized, in a New Life that is prioritized,
By The Lord God of our Salvation, to reach for Christ every Nation.

The Power to Touch Lives

Do you
have
the power
to
touch lives?

Are you defeated
in
every second
of
every hour?

Is your heart withholding the keys
to put many out of their miseries?

Were you created to make somebody see
what their purpose in life is suppose to be?

Were you put down here to be of some help
to uplift when others can't do it for themselves?

Have you answered your calling,
which was to keep others from falling?

Do you have any power?

Is your power distorted in some way?

Are you destroying souls
by
what you do
and
what you say?

Is the power
of
Life and Death
within
your tongue?

Then tell me
why do you choose
to
use it like
a gun?

Do you have the power
to
enlighten others,
who just might
be
a sister or a brother
of
another color?

Were you
created
to be
a blessing?

So until this time,
you would've
still been
guessing

Please let me know
when you will believe,
that
you have the power,
to help those in need

You have the power
to encourage
someone to succeed

So Yes,
You have,
the
'Power to Touch Lives'
If I've said it once,
now
I've said it twice

Master, Or Slave?

All men were created to be free
But some have chosen another way
Life choices were made into slavery
That ebbed their humanity away.

A man is a slave to what mastered him,
Alcohol, drugs, gambling and such.
Greed, pleasure, and every evil whim
Yes, the tendrils of Sin can grip so much.

Man takes the drugs in his own hand
And with his own mouth, he will then swallow.
Man takes the guns, pulls the triggers and then
Does the killing, the murders he sows.

Man, he created those nuclear weapons
Surely for the purposes of making war
For Hatred and Strife has mastered him on
And his Sin has gone so very, very far.

Though Man was given all dominion
Over the Earth and all living things
He has managed to reap sheer destruction
And the Cause and Effect now is coming.

Poverty and famine are man-made
Through corruption, neglect, and pollution
The Earth has succumbed and its womb forbade
The harvest of food for our consumption.

Pride is the other master that holds
Man will never acknowledge his need
For the only God Whose power can mold
Man back to his image, a master...His Seed.

'When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. What benefit did you reap at the time...Those things result in death! '
Romans 6: 21

'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.'
Romans 6: 23

You Don’t Look Like An Author

Many, many years ago,
thirty odd years in fact
I met a woman at a writing class.
We have been friends
ever since our meeting then.
It was a little while after that meeting
that she said to me.
“You know, David,
when we first met
you didn’t strike me as being an author
as you didn’t look like one to me.”
I’ve joked about it with her ever since.
Because what does a writer look like?
Is there some set format
in everyone’s eyes
of what a writer is suppose to look like?
If someone knows
could they please tell me,
then I’ll change my image
and start looking like one.

Mirror On Wall

mirror on wall
what stories you tell
a lie or a tale
of my only friend
you show me what i wanna see
a pigment of the future
a broken shell of the past
i look to you for answer
but you just look back
i cry to you for an answer
but tears just come out of you eye
i miss our conversation
little said but so much was told
we share the same pain
but you carry all the blame
maybe love isn't for us
maybe it was always meant to be
just us
no one to hear our cries
no one there to dry our eyes
so we hold on to each other
and share our stories
we stay strong and fall apart together
so sitting here staring through
these mirrors i see my past
my present and future to
and all i see is me and you

Just A Dream Slaying Dreams

'The lengths that I will go to'
'Oh no, I've said too much I set it up'
'Oh no, I've said too much I haven't said enough'

consider this
mask haunting artists
love paradoxes

more is less
proof pulling stories
slaying dreams

out of hatters hat
veil past present
social contexts

screen obvious
life slice subtle
juxtapositions

season lives
lit within
looking glass

eternal heart bleeds
written porous soul lines
weeps empty spaces

I Have Witness Many Great Things In This World

I have witness many great things in this world, in this life. The greatest ones by far where when my children were born. They both entered this world differently. The oldest entered calm, he entered this new world with a gentle easy calmness, an alert curiosity, not certain as to where he landed yet trusting, ready to face this new world. Seeing this new life entering the world, I saw myself entering life, all life entering life, all humanity entering life. My second child entered the world, yelling; to me his cries could have been heard all around the world, he announced himself, to the world, to life, with power, with intensity, with certainty 'I am here. '

As a preteen, as a teenager, as a young man, I had many peek experiences while playing sports. Other types of experiences as well, Creative flashes of inspiration that moved me to the core.

I have witnessed the love of the human soul, the tenderness, of the human soul, the strength, endurance, the depths, I have seen, listen to, was moved by all of the Gods of the pantheon of life, the incarnations of being. I seem them go on past endurance, yet still loving, making miracles, finding hope, making ways where there where none, for their children, for loved ones for them selves for life.

Rewind

Sitting all by myself
with subsistence on a momentary hold

Could feel the bygone brush past
and start itself to unfold

The life seemed full of fantasy,
a surrealistic make believe

Naivety fuelled convictions
which improbable were to achieve

How quickly all slips by,
near the end of the one's arduous trudge

Past blames are viewed differently
and own follies we fairly adjudge

Life Is Incredible

Life is incredible
Nothing is impossible
Nothing is illegible
Life is incredible
Sometimes unfair
Like a nightmare
Sometimes like a dream
As clear as a beam
You have just to care
You have just to dare
Live it, share it
And you will go too far, so high
Like a rainbow in the sky
Life is incredible
Sometimes like a fairy tale
With the singing nightingale
but just dare live it
Think a bit
That's it Life is incredible
