Memory Lingers (Revised)

Compiled a ‘to do' list in a whirlwind start,
security took my fingerprints for clearance,
I'm vindicated, my existence has meaning,
I've just proved I'm me with qualifications

Friends vouched acquaintanceship, name &
ID of every family member; were I suffering
amnesia I could so easily look myself up - it
makes me feel brilliant - only thing lacking

Is a pharmacy full-colour passport photo,
then I can identify my face too; ‘Diamonds
Are Forever' James Bond could use my ID
and fingerprints to fool smugglers -

Really for a moment I am Jill St. John adding
‘Tiffany Case' to my extensive repertoire; how
can everyone bend over their desks in cool
concentration when so many whimsical

Dreams await to be dramatized - let me write
down my fantasy freed restraint then continue
in cold boredom afterwards - secure while the
memory lingers in my heart…

Fingerprints

I touched you once too often
Now I don't know who I am
My fingerprints were missing
When I wiped away the jam.

Yes I called my fingerprints all night
But they don't seem to care
The last time that I saw them
They were leafing through your hair.

Annoyance Of A Family

1When you part of a family you face your ups and downs, you faces what goes and what comes back around, you face the headaches, heartbreaks, and most importantly the stupid mistakes. You face all of this and more and it always feels as though it is a chore.3But family is the most important thing anyone should adore. Family last for ages, through stone, through sand, family lasts even though a person needs to take a stand. Family is forever, and forever it shall be, no matter what you do, family is always within your destiny.5Family can be joyful as bell, but the one thing family always are, is annoying as hell. Annoyance any family shall be for it feels like their annoyance last for eternity, yet you love them with all your heart.7Towards the end of life from the start. Your with them even when the not near you, and for as their not in your sight there in your heart, to the moment you leave from the moment you had your start.9 Family is the only thing that last through the ages, from generation, and so forth, until true separation is in course, for then it is genocide of fellowship that often becomes remorse.

Watch Over Me

I dedicate my life as I dedicate this song
So your loving memory will never be gone
Your message and your song will continue on
The positive that you created shall never be undone
You taught me everything I know and everything I do
Taught me how to live my life and to always be true
True to your friends and your family
True to your heart be who you want to be
Youll forever be my mentor forever be my friend
cause brotherhoods the rule which can not bend
Youll be truly missed as you were truly loved
I hope youre watching me from up above
We will live our lives in your memory
We will try to be the best that we can be in your memory
Your short time on earth was very well spent some people they live 80 years and never make a dent
But you changed the world with the words that you would write
And taught us all to always fight the good fight
And I know youre watching over me from above in the center of my heart is where you will forever be
From the center of my heart is where youll never leave
Theres no way your memory will ever fade away
Because of all the happiness and the goodness that you gave
In my heart is where youll always be youll always be with me
Nobody can take away the memories well always have the memories
I remember you always looking out for me
Putting me on your shoulders so I could see
Being the best brother you knew how to be
I can still feel you looking over me
And it makes me smile to know youre still watching over me.

Guitar In A Stand

My guitar sits in a stand
rosewood neck
and maple bridge
chrome pegs
and stainless steel frets
six steel & brass strings
silent now
and no songs

for my fingers she longs
without regrets
upon her strings
a part of my heart
but she gives feelings in me wings

But there she sits silently
just an inanimate thing
that comes to life somehow
when I feel alone
and overfilled with the sadness
that life seems to bring
she makes me somehow
want to play and sing
through tears and everything
and in the end she says it's OK
somehow she understands

and now I look at her there
in her stand
and get up and walk across the room
to hold her in my hand
and play a little Bell Bottm Blues
and Little Wing
she allows this weary heart to sing
as if it meant something

I think when I'm dead and gone
this guitar will carry on
the memory of my feelings
and the memory of my hands
to another player
who has a similar feeling
and who understands
and listens to each note that rings
and makes them think of love and things

Or maybe it will have meaning to someone
or sit in a case or upon a wall
I wonder about it all
but me I hear something
between each note
as I bend the string and listen
a blue note
reminds me of you
and how your smokey eyes appear to glisten
and of your soft kind way

and from far away
my heart hesitates
and skips a beat
and dreams
and listens
and makes it's way to you

Creepy-The Sitting Duck!

So much has been exposed ALREADY-
So many players have been named...! ! !
And your publicity-even though bad-has spotlighted you...! ! !
Into the possible perp of 'Criminal Fame';

To say that you and yours are the number 1 suspects...
On a list near a full page long...
Would be an understatement...
But you continue-to write about doing wrong;

With your oft' hidden intimidating threats...
That are so easily caught...! ! !
It doesn't take a Criminal Profiler...
To see what you are STILL all about! ;

But in your little cruel life...! ! !
You prpbably say-what the hey...
My wife left and had an abortion to boot...
So i might as well spread the misery 'round this day! ! ! ;

And in your green pea brain...
You think any kind of publicity is okay...
Even if it is: 'criminally horrific'
You truly make: 'THE WATCHERS' day;

If anyone on this site is wondering- a lot of my poetry is about
our family being victimized. All of this when i am
Suffering from heart disease and a very serious chronic illness
That could take my life any time.

***I would like to thank my very kind friends who have helped me
With this and continue to moniter this whole situation.
Without you i would not know even half what i know.***
Also, i owe a great big thank you to My God!

Politically Incorrect Poem 3

The latest European edict from Brussels
commands that horses
must have a passport, with photo...
(our local brewery
still used them for local deliveries -
accountants proved them cheaper;
and of course, great publicity)

How many horses
can you get in one
photo-booth?

And they'll need quite a few more
shit-hot
passport inspectors

so watch that arab stallion
strolling so casually
onto the cross-Channel ferry -
might he....?

I'll Carry You with Me!

I'll carry you with me here in my heart
From now 'til forever, we never will part,
Though all that we hoped for is now in the past,
Your memory lingers -the mold has been cast;

I'll carry you with me each day from now on
Though miles lie between us and you may be gone,
You inhabit my dreams as you always have done,
Your memory lingers as bright as the sun;

I'll carry you with me in each precious thought
Remembering your smile and the joy that you brought,
My life has been touched by each gift that you gave
Your memory lingers from here to the grave;

I'll carry you with me wherever I go
Your love still surrounds me and grounds me I know,
And I can be happy just knowing you care -
Your memory lives in my soul everywhere.

All Around The World Or The Myth Of Fingerprints

Over the mountain
Down in the valley
Lives a former talk-show host
Everybody knows his name
He says theres no doubt about it
It was the myth of fingerprints
Ive seen them all and man
Theyre all the same
Well, the sun gets weary
And the sun goes down
Ever since the watermelon
And the lights come up
On the black pit town
Somebody says whats a better thing to do
Well, its not just me
And its not just you
This is all around the world
Out in the indian ocean somewhere
Theres a former army post
Abandoned now just like the war
And theres no doubt about it
It was the myth of fingerprints
Thats what that old army post was for
Well, the sun gets bloody
And the sun goes down
Ever since the watermelon
And the lights come up
On the black pit town
Somebody says whats a better thing to do
Well, its not just me
And its not just you
This is all around the world
Over the mountain
Down in the valley
Lives the former talk-show host
Far and wide his name was known
He said theres no doubt about it
It was the myth of fingerprints
Thats why we must learn to live alone

Feeling Vindicated

You took to me,
Like fish does to water.
And it was joy,
When my life had order.
But now we've become a mystery.

You take the gold.
Leave me the silver.
No 'beef' do I hold.
My heart is closed and bordered.
And what was is not meant to be!

And I feel vindicated.
To know ahead are my best days.
Yes I feel vindicated.
I stayed and did not cheat.
And I feel vindicated.
Since you strayed away from me.

And I feel vindicated.
To know ahead are my best days.
Yes I feel vindicated.
I stayed and did not cheat.

You took to me,
Like fish does to water.
And it was joy,
When my life had order.
But now we've become a mystery.

And I feel vindicated.
'Cause I believed.
I feel vindicated.
You would never cheat.
And I feel vindicated...
'Cause I was there,
I feel vindicated...
To see your deed.

And I feel vindicated.
'Cause I believed.
I feel vindicated.
You would never cheat.
And I feel vindicated...
'Cause I was there,
I feel vindicated...
To see your deed.

You take the gold.
Cause I feel vindicated
Leave me the silver.
Feeling vindicated.
No 'beef' I hold.
Though I'm feeling vindicated.
My heart is closed,
And bordered.

Since you strayed away from me.
And now we've become a mystery.

You take the gold.
Cause I feel vindicated
Leave me the silver.
Feeling vindicated.
No 'beef' I hold.
Though I'm feeling vindicated.
My heart is closed...
Since you strayed away from me.
And now we've become a mystery.

And I'm feeling vidicated,
No 'beef' I hold.
I'm feeling vidicated.
My eyes believe.
Feeling vindicated.
That truth is told.
And my heart,
No longer grieves.

You took to me,
Like fish to water.
And it was joy,
When my life had order.
But now we've become a mystery.
And my heart,
No longer grieves.

And I'm...
Feeling vindicated.
Yes I guess I'm,
Feeling vindicated.
And I and I...
Feel vindicated.
Yes I guess I'm,
Feeling vindicated.
And I and I...
Feel vindicated.
Yes I guess I'm,
Feeling vindicated.
And I and I...
Feel vindicated.
And I and I...
Feel vindicated.

And we leave,
Without the risk of rifts.
Feeling vindicated,
And we leave knowing this is it!
And I and I...
Feel vindicated.
Yes I guess I'm,
Feeling vindicated.

To Wait For Time

Footprints and fingerprints,
Be up and doing to respect my muse;
And learn to wait for time.
The evening lamps are lighted and,
To dance upon the narrow walls;
But the heaven is like earth without sin.
Footprints and fingerprints,
Let us visit the biggest cemetery in the world;
And of moulded ships in bottles and shells,
But let us learn to labour and to wait for time.

Of plant related species and art lovers,
The moon has a golden ring on!
And all my fears are laid aside,
But her eyes are as the fairy-fax.
Though often depressed and lonely,
Her checks are like the dawn of the day;
And like a look at the open door.
Footprints and fingerprints,
To wait for time and to muse up with your love;
And like love under the spreading chestnut-tree.

Like a Freight Train Coming

I am a poet, writer and psalmist,
Thanks to the events of a wedding reception.
Those three titles have been added to my list,
And now I write like my life is almost done.

I receive inspiration from just about anything,
From memories of old and new.
Thoughts of friends and family to me do spring
To mind, and my hand has a lot of work to do.

However, there are times when I am empty,
I can't think of anything to write.
I try so hard, it almost frustrates me
When my poem mill is void, therefore adding to my plight.

But then, there I'll be, not even trying to write,
When all of a sudden, like a frieght train coming,
Like a bolt of lightning, inspiration strikes. So, right
Then and there, I grab my book, and words from me start humming.

A mile a minute, word after word appears,
My pen can barely keep up
With my heart as it bears
The words like wine filling my cup.

Flowers Never Bend With The Rainfall

Through the corridors of sleep
Past shadows dark and deep
My mind dances and leaps in confusion
I don't know what is real
I can't touch what I feel
And I hide behind the shield of my illusion
So I'll continue to continue to pretend
My life will never end
And flowers never bend
With the rainfall
The mirror on my wall
Casts an image dark and small
But I'm not sure at all it's my relfection
I am blinded by the light
Of God and truth and right
And I wander in the night without direction
So I'll continue to continue to pretend
My life will never end
And flowers never bend
With the rainfall
No matter if you're born
To play the King or pawn
For the line is thinly drawn 'tween joy and sorrow
So my fantasy
Becomes reality
And I must be what I must be and face tomorrow
So I'll continue to continue to pretend
My life will never end
And flowers never bend
With the rainfall

That Hole Is Not Of Our Making

Although their fingerprints appear,
On the shovels used to dig themselves...
Into a hole so deep,
Those still digging can not be seen...
The ones standing above it and looking below,
Wish to have the ones they have deceived...
Believe they had nothing to do with it.

'But it is clear to everyone,
Your fingerprints appear on the shovels.
And your hands and pockets are covered with dirt.'

~We've only come to sample the richness of it.
But that hole is not of our making.'

'Can you explain why the ones in the hole below,
Have chosen to scream out your names?
Begging to be rescued from their predicament? '

~We too are mystified just like you.
However...
We have come together to insist,
Everyone should participate...
To free us from this embarrassment.~

A Forecast

What days await this woman, whose strange feet
Breathe spells, whose presence makes men dream like wine,
Tall, free and slender as the forest pine,
Whose form is moulded music, through whose sweet
Frank eyes I feel the very heart's least beat,
Keen, passionate, full of dreams and fire:
How in the end, and to what man's desire
Shall all this yield, whose lips shall these lips meet?

One thing I know: if he be great and pure,
This love, this fire, this beauty shall endure;
Triumph and hope shall lead him by the palm:
But if not this, some differing thing he be,
That dream shall break in terror; he shall see
The whirlwind ripen, where he sowed the calm.

I WAS A FOOL...by talile ali

I WAS A FOOL

I DON'T WANNA LOSE A FRIENDSHIP
JUST FOR SOME WILD ABANDONED SEX
IF THAT EVER WERE TO BE THE CASE
LIKE FRIENDS WITH BENIFITS

TO HAVE THEM BOTH WOULD BE SO NICE
IT'S LIKE A FANTASY OF MINE
ONE I'D LIKE TO REALIZE
WITH YOU BEFORE WE'RE OUT OF TIME

THAT IT'S YOU, I'M NOT SURPRISED
CAUSE DARLIN, I'VE ALWAYS HAD IT FOR YOU
NEVER THOUGHT I'D SUGGEST SUCH A THING
BUT LIFE MAKES US ALL A FOOL

YOUR MAN'S NOT FUCKIN NO MORE
AND NEITHER DOES MY WIFE
THAT WAS THEIR CHOICE, KEEP IT REAL
I WANNA HAVE SEX WITH MY REAL WIFE

AND AS STRANGE AS IT SEEMS
IT'S FUNNY THAT WE DIDN'T SEE
THE REALITY OF THIS
THING THAT WAS MEANT TO BE

TALKIN BOUT ME AND YOU
AND THE WAY WE FEEL
WE BEEN DENYIN TOO MUCH
WE SHOULD HAVE KEPT IT REAL

I ONCE WAS ANGRY
THAT I DENIED MYSELF THESE PLEASURES
AND THOUGHT I WAS SO BRIGHT
REALIZED BEYOND MEASURE

I WAS A FOOL
FOR NOT TAKING UP YOUR HAND
YOU SEE, THIS MAN'S NOT COMPLETE
UNTIL YOUR HIS WOMAN

AS THE STORY GOES
THIS TELL'S COME TO A CLOSE
I WANNA BE WITH YOU
SO THE STORY GOES

I Know One (feat. Emmylou Harris)

When all your loves have ended
When all your friends have flown
Who'll be around to want you
When all your loves have gone
Only a fool would do it
After the way you've done
But how many fools would have you I know one
This fool keeps wonderin' why
He fell in love at all
But you might need this fool
Around in case you fall
After the party's over
And you've had your fill of fun
If you need a fool to forgive you I know one
You never know, you might be lonely
When all your loves have missed
It wouldn't hurt to keep an extra
Fool on your list.
After your heart's been broken
And you need a place to run
If you'll take a fool who loves you
I know one
I know one
I know one

I'm Mute (Revised)

Today is lost, I could not navigate
a steady course, mind disturbed,
nothing claims my concentration,
surfaced now and again to where
my head is snared in a net of
meaninglessness

Could not create a purpose or set
a Don Quixote task, cannot dream
the impossible dream for mother,
a hip replacement which financial
constraints make impossible, pain
her constant companion

No state hospital operations, only
self-funded private interventions
so how long should she need to
suffer? Nor can anyone alleviate
the pain – only her trust and faith
will pull her through,

To know she has to endure the
destructive agony of pain dims
beauty of life, makes me unsure
of myself and the meaning of
spiritual growth I assigned to
simple existence –

I could not breathe without it or
hear music; she must be released
from jeopardy, freed of pain, I am
mute in face of her suffering, my
head aches as my heart burns
shrinks into oblivion
