Feeling Vindicated

You took to me,
Like fish does to water.
And it was joy,
When my life had order.
But now we've become a mystery.

You take the gold.
Leave me the silver.
No 'beef' do I hold.
My heart is closed and bordered.
And what was is not meant to be!

And I feel vindicated.
To know ahead are my best days.
Yes I feel vindicated.
I stayed and did not cheat.
And I feel vindicated.
Since you strayed away from me.

And I feel vindicated.
To know ahead are my best days.
Yes I feel vindicated.
I stayed and did not cheat.

You took to me,
Like fish does to water.
And it was joy,
When my life had order.
But now we've become a mystery.

And I feel vindicated.
'Cause I believed.
I feel vindicated.
You would never cheat.
And I feel vindicated...
'Cause I was there,
I feel vindicated...
To see your deed.

And I feel vindicated.
'Cause I believed.
I feel vindicated.
You would never cheat.
And I feel vindicated...
'Cause I was there,
I feel vindicated...
To see your deed.

You take the gold.
Cause I feel vindicated
Leave me the silver.
Feeling vindicated.
No 'beef' I hold.
Though I'm feeling vindicated.
My heart is closed,
And bordered.

Since you strayed away from me.
And now we've become a mystery.

You take the gold.
Cause I feel vindicated
Leave me the silver.
Feeling vindicated.
No 'beef' I hold.
Though I'm feeling vindicated.
My heart is closed...
Since you strayed away from me.
And now we've become a mystery.

And I'm feeling vidicated,
No 'beef' I hold.
I'm feeling vidicated.
My eyes believe.
Feeling vindicated.
That truth is told.
And my heart,
No longer grieves.

You took to me,
Like fish to water.
And it was joy,
When my life had order.
But now we've become a mystery.
And my heart,
No longer grieves.

And I'm...
Feeling vindicated.
Yes I guess I'm,
Feeling vindicated.
And I and I...
Feel vindicated.
Yes I guess I'm,
Feeling vindicated.
And I and I...
Feel vindicated.
Yes I guess I'm,
Feeling vindicated.
And I and I...
Feel vindicated.
And I and I...
Feel vindicated.

And we leave,
Without the risk of rifts.
Feeling vindicated,
And we leave knowing this is it!
And I and I...
Feel vindicated.
Yes I guess I'm,
Feeling vindicated.

Vindicated

Vindicated!
When you've been vindicated,
There's a feeling that is felt this is elated.

When you've been vindicated,
From those acts that can decay...
There's a weigh that lifts and chases blues away.

When you've been accused,
By other people for things you did not do...
There's a weigh that lifts and chases blues away.

Tossing and turning and can't sleep,
By those deceivers planning defeat...
There's a weigh that lifts and chases blues away.

When you've been depicted to be a fool,
By others who wish to undo you...
There's a weigh that lifts and chases blues away.

Vindicated!

When you've been vindicated,

There's a weigh that lifts and chases blues away.

In a word, if any kind of slavery can be vindicated by the Holy Scriptures, we are already sure our making and holding the Negroes our slaves, as we do, cannot be vindicated by any thing we can find there, but is condemned by the whole of divine revelation.

Vindicated

Hope dangles on a string
Like slow spinning redemption
Winding in and winding out
The shine ahead has caught my eye
And roped me in so mesmerizing
It's so hypnotizing
I am captivated
I am
Vindicated
I am selfish
I am wrong
I am right
I swear I'm right
Swear I knew it all along
And I am flawed
But I am cleaning up so well
I am seeing in me now
The things you swore you saw yourself
So clear
Like the diamond in your ring
Cut to mirror your intention
Oversized and overwhelmed
The shine of which has caught my eye
And rendered me so
Isolated so
Motivated I am
Certain now that I am
Vindicated
I am selfish
I am wrong
I am right
I swear I'm right
Swear I knew it all along
And I am flawed
But I am cleaning up so well
I am seeing in me now
The things you swore you saw yourself
So tired of the corners of your lips
Part them and feel my finger tips
Trace the moment for forever
Defense is paper thin
Just one touch and I'd be in
Too deep now to ever swim
Against the current
So let me slip away
So let me slip away
So let me slip away
So let me slip against the current
So let me slip away
So let me slip away
So let me slip away
So let me slip away
Vindicated
I am selfish
I am wrong
I am right
I swear I'm right
Swear I knew it all along
And I am flawed
But I am cleaning up so well
I am seeing in me now
The things you swore you saw yourself
My hope dangles on a string
Like slow spinning redemption

Directed Through Adverse Winds

There is nothing like the feeling,
Of being vindicated...
After spending YEARS of one's life,
Doing those things felt right...
For reasons one could not explain,
But knew to do.
As if directed through adverse winds.
And stormy seas.

There is nothing like the welcoming of light.
Or a calm feeling existing from within,
That validates the path one has taken...
On a journey,
And most times alone...
One has known,
Has always been the only route to secure...
The meaning of one's happiness.

Relieved

I often wondered,
Why it was natural!
And there it was...
The evidence!
I felt relieved.
Almost vindicated.
There I was posing...
As a baby,
In pictures.
With my foot in my mouth!
I knew I did it with such ease.
Now I don't have to make excuses.
It's something I've been accustomed to doing...
All my life!

Truth

Truth is a solid crust,
Sledgehammer cannot crush.
Truth is iron cast,
It is as hard as diamond.

Truth erodes deliberate falsehood,
Corrodes devious propaganda,
Dissolves trump-up charges,
Resolves unfounded allegations,
Absolves the humiliated.

Truth dismisses fabrications,
Making their effects fleeting,
Earning victory for the vindicated victim,
Exposing the evil in the slanderer.

Truth is invincible, untruth very visible
Truth is transparent, untruth ungodly.
Truth is a perpetual burning torch.
I will hold on to it.
All must hold on to it.

Memory Lingers (Revised)

Compiled a ‘to do' list in a whirlwind start,
security took my fingerprints for clearance,
I'm vindicated, my existence has meaning,
I've just proved I'm me with qualifications

Friends vouched acquaintanceship, name &
ID of every family member; were I suffering
amnesia I could so easily look myself up - it
makes me feel brilliant - only thing lacking

Is a pharmacy full-colour passport photo,
then I can identify my face too; ‘Diamonds
Are Forever' James Bond could use my ID
and fingerprints to fool smugglers -

Really for a moment I am Jill St. John adding
‘Tiffany Case' to my extensive repertoire; how
can everyone bend over their desks in cool
concentration when so many whimsical

Dreams await to be dramatized - let me write
down my fantasy freed restraint then continue
in cold boredom afterwards - secure while the
memory lingers in my heart…

Suspicious Minds

Lately I've sat here afternoons
just listening to the
gluttonous newsmen argue

about fathers who kill
their wives and kids
then spirit off to Mexico.

My life's knee-deep
in fathers, embedded
in my own shaky tenor,

and though mine's as good as dead
my life still wakes up and pees.
My world's still on fire.

If I could be anywhere else
in the world, if I could be anything
but ham-handed today, I could cheer on

the vacationing comedian
who finds one this morning
hidden in a hut.

I could be vindicated.
What I mean is all this father-surrendering
gets me tired,

that it's getting old,
that it's the most difficult part of my day.

Feel Like a Simile Sometimes

I feel like a train sometimes
that can't get no locomotin.'

My wheels lumber
and my Ideals get stuck
in sideways roller motions.

I feel like the moon sometimes
beautiful but dead.

Feel like thinking sometimes
but get tangled up in emotions.

Feel like a bird sometimes
remembering how to soar.

Feel like sleeping sometimes
and not getting up,
being in bed for a while.

Feel like Christmas when
someone gives me a smile.

Feel like feeling more
on certain days and times.

Feel like talking deep
and thinking light
laughing loud
and quiet.

Feel like feeling like
my best days
sometimes.

Feel like is feeling like
if a good poem rhymes
sometimes.

Feel like is feeling like
if the rhythm beats in time,
if my heart skips to music quips
and rejoins at the metered line.

Feel like
is feeling like
feeling is ok;
but feeling good or bad
without that like
is better;
well..
like superior.
Like ok?

Vindicated

There are two of me, one believes you implicitly, all
arguments and problems are my fault, everything I
say is wrong – as you claim with such conviction –
this enables me to respect and honour you
quite unconditionally

And an inner core, a rebel self who believes for mental
health I should believe something else, I have a right to
an opinion, you make mistakes and refuse to listen, I’m
not the mean and egoistic being you believe me to be
this enables me to tolerate myself

Not die on the spot of shame and humiliation for being me
though you are Doctor Know-It-All and Mr Perfect, I have a
right to be imperfect, horrible me without pretension; - if I did
not move all this into negative me, I would have had nothing
left - but the positive side still believes

Someday I shall be vindicated in love…

Dad - Stated In Letters Of Gold

I’m deeply touched by a situation
I’m helpless to change – but firmly
convinced that the story of the
intrigue against my father
must one day be
revealed

My father WILL be vindicated one day
I shall keep on formulating his story
until it becomes stated in letters
of gold and his unselfish spirit
undying love and unique
brand of eccentric
integrity

will prevail over my mother’s mercenary
religious conniving and refinement
in using of him and his family
I started reading the book
of my father’s life about
three years ago - I’m
intrigued

determined to play a role in
reinstating him to a higher
position after my mother
relegated him to the
lowest dungeons
of infamy

All answers

Why have we extended so much or overstretched
Why do we feel frustrated and our dreams wrecked?
Have we grown so much obsessive and materialistic?
Do we not care about real world and remain static?

All answer is in yes and we got to consider it seriously
Complete thing stands vindicated and to be understood obviously
Either we remain contended with whatever we have
Or stands exposed in eyes and strangely behave

We want to become millionaire without hard work overnight
We want to have smooth way without making so flight
This is all we are doing everyday in our day to day dealing
It has absence of kind touch which is needed for healing

We endure no pain and get excited at little setback
We become overenthusiastic at sudden come back
We don’t take it casually and surrender to the tendency
The moral fabric is lost and has increased its frequency

Nothing may prevail or last long if there is no mental peace
Life can’t become normal if we don’t live at ease
Everything has to be given go bye and must cease
We may feel elated with the source of new energy release

Even if we go for the things which are not destined for
You will have nothing on hand or might have seen before
It will have its own course and is bond to happen
Fruits to may not have yellow color if they are not ripen

Rejoice and participate in the thing at natural way
Not to worry much and any attention got to pay
It will have its own impact and make swing
We may be able to fly even with crippled wing

Let it go in natural way and feel the joy
Have your own way and completely enjoy
It may take you to the world of your own
Where there is no pain and no one can disown
