Collecting Memories

Want to cherish the laughter and joy of the
wonderful times spent with the kids taking
them to school, Tiaan reading Nicis essay
aloud with such funny comments, we were
in stitches, she claimed the king was on the
ceiling meaning he stood above his slaves

Tiaan claiming my aggressive driving causes
them to suffer epileptic attacks, that they are
emotionally scarred by the determined way I
stick to my guns when others try to cut us off
or appear right before me, happy banter and
mock sarcasm creating a warm atmosphere

I love the delighted laughter, magical moments
spent together, would like to record them in my
head to rejoice and relive whenever needed to
lighten dark times, saving the sunshine of warm
companionship for the lonely future, beautiful
memories to keep my dreams sweet

Childhood Revisited

memories of childhood...
such a wonderful, hazy, warm feeling,
special memories, filled with love
come welling up, and send my senses reeling,

aromatic fragrance, wafting up from the kitchen,
aroma of my mothers cooking,
father getting ready for work,
how handome he is looking,

I'm ready for school., hair plaited,
clutch my little, sisters hand tightly
bags perched securely on our backs
and off we go, skipping lightly,

lessons and studies, dilligently done,
supervised by dad, but always fun,
carefree, happy times were those
one could do, what one chose....

the familiar house, and the close kinship
so many friends, and closely knit friendship,
no cares, no worries, they were not for us,
only love and protection, and a special fuss,

what wonderful years I can never forget
a happy childhood is an important asset
and now we are grown........
only memories are left....

when we are feeling down, or nostalgic,
just go back to those magical years...
relive those times, that sparkling innocence,
that time, devoid of from doubt and fears

oh childhood...so quickly did you fly
your very memory makes us sigh...
and remember.and smile, and feel content
for the Godgiven wonderful years, so well spent...

oh childhood, I hope I have been a good mother,
what I learnt from you, I hope I have given another,
a treasure for my children, to recall, and to cherish
a treasure to revel in and sustain, when we perish.

Goodwill Permeating Everything…

Everything is lined up because Martin helped,
Tiaan’s “wildlife farm” and tourist attraction,
with a model in wood, Nici with a fossil in
plaster of Paris, without Martin I would have
paid someone to do the trick, I’m an academic
myself, today schools require engineers and
private entrepreneurs… I’m so happy, at least
I washed the floor while everyone had their
own kind of fun! Thanking Martin in verse is
all I can do for his wonderful job in taking care
of the kids, checking that Tiaan cleans his shoes –
and Nici’s also, seeing as she covered all his books,
the feeling of goodwill in the house is permeating
everything…

My Heart is Broken

Does anyone know that my heart is broken?
Perhaps no one really knows because of the laughter I show when I'm with them,
Nobody knows that my heart is hurting because of that person.
Those days in love it was the laughter that made me happy,
Waking up in the morning next to the person that I loved,
It was everything that I could wished for,
But the laughter faded when the person said it was over.

Years have passed by but the memories are still here,
And I don't think I could ever erase the person from my mind,
Those wonderful memories from my heart.
My heart is bleeding from the sad memories that were once happy,
I can laugh and laugh,
I can lie to myself and my friends,
But the tears from the laughter are the tears from the heartbreak.

Sometimes in the nights I hear myself laughing,
The laughter that echoes through the nights,
Through the lonely dark room,
I sometimes realize that not all of the echoing sounds are laughter,
But they are the tears and sadness coming from my heart.
How can I erase anything when the person's love was so beautiful?
How can I erase that person from my memory,
When I still love that person so much

Life can be fun

Life can have it's ups and downs
days that are dark and Grey
but it also can be full of fun
with laughter along the way.
Some people just make us happy
they make you feel good all the while
you get out of bed feeling lousy
but their humour soon brings a smile.
There are times you need to be serious
because life has it's moments of pain
but laughter can ease the worries
and bring relief to the stress and strain.
In life you will live and learn a lot
have good times along with the bad
but a beautiful rainbow follows the storm
and a friend can lift you when your sad.
So whatever life may throw at you
try and have a laugh and some fun
and while some people can be cold
others can be friendly and warm as the Sun.

Not Home Tonight

Tiaan not home tonight, Nici nowhere in sight,
Martin surviving his life, I am watching X factor
alone, Tiaan introduced me to the programme
last week; without his presence, I am by myself

I miss my son’s sardonic humour, his smile, his
long-suffering patience when his dad comes down
on him and his friends; his Stoic acceptance when
his acerbic, hostile Scorpion dad administers a

Sting to his knight-in-shining-armour image; Tiaan
filled with zeal to help those suffering, while his dad
wants him to set rules and self-interest above all else
- Tiaan so enthusiastic about life, concerned to

- earn the marks he deserves, to build a six-pack,
to take care of us, becoming a dedicated cook; oh
how I miss him – though I am so proud of his new
self-confidence visiting his friends…

Laughter

Laughter
Mole-like token let it be bestowed on you
Laughter
Bell-like liquid an outpour light and blue
Laughter
The joyful cords in music born blessed throats
Laughter
The happy rowing in plenitude golden boats
Laughter
Running wild shaking bellies to dance
Laughter
Sweet disease swell infective trance
Laughter
The tongue tip peeping to mock the hands of time
Laughter
The gift of he’s she’s of you’re we’re or I’m
Laughter
The blissful eyes when joyful tears go down
Laughter
The king or queen carrying the highest crown

For A Nephew And A Niece

i will give you sweet memories.
nice dining. stories. fairy tales.
some realities.
shells and the sounds of its songs
when felt by your ears.
i give you laughter.
jokes that you have not heard before.
i can be your clown
and you trusted adviser about first love.
these moments you must always remember.
we feast on a beautiful sunrise.
wide span of grass, so green.
we breathe the cool sea breeze.
here. we make the bond. we seal the day
in peace. in harmony.
i have become your friend
i bring you tidings. I bring you sweet years.

when i get old and you become your own selves
i ask you, let us relive these moments.
do not forget, we had the nicest times together.
do not forget, i will just be a memory.

Just The Wave Of The Hand

Each day we search our memories
for the perfect moments in time
when there were tears of laughter
to see us through some bad times.

We look for those moments,
which were written by loves hand
to transport us back
again to that magical land.

We want to forget about any worrying times
that might lie just ahead,
and think of the pleasures
we had somewhere in the past.

Remember how love once praised us
with everything we have now,
and remember all the good times
and forget about the bad one somehow.

If only we could do it
with just the wave of the hand
and banish away all the sorrows
forever from our beloved land.

How I Love (Revised)

The rain came with assuring displays of
Valkyrian thunder and lightning; at last
we can breathe again – showers have
cleansed the air and with an iniquitous
sun gone I can watch TV all day;

Tiaan stayed with a friend overnight, never
slept; sleeping now at midday. Nici said she
would like to adopt her friend’s adorable
boa constrictor, agreeably feed him mice,
I warned I would leave our home

A joyful discovery – I am flexible enough
to watch TV in the spiritual Lotus position
just like my book’s sweet protagonist;
watched Tales of Belle of Beauty and The
Beast; delighted – just how I would imagine

She must have spent her enchanted castle
days by herself with only servants under a
spell to take care of her – Nici so happy, her
friend is back, found her lost necklace
in the driveway

Texting us now with her Blackberry birthday
present from her room, at last we can plan a
proper celebration, she said with shining
eyes, condescending to share a restaurant
meal with her family –

Oh, I love my little world
with these wonderful kids…

Capturing life with precious moments to spare,
With smiles and love and timing so rare,
Living on forevermore within frames for all to see,
With a child's laughter as precious as can be.
Capturing memories of a soon forgotten childhood,
And family moments that never felt so good.
A truthful memoir in beautiful display,
Of a family picnic on a newborn summer day.
To savor the moments of joyous proportion,
Knowing it could all end in distortion.
Capturing the moments of an infant's first step,
Or a Christmas morn shining with pep.
An image of laughter and joyous jest,
A friendship jokes what they thought was best.
Memories taken of a sweet romance,
Of two young kids at their first school dance.
Capturing life with precious moments to spare,
With smiles and love and timing so rare.

Golden Days

I long for those days
which were filled with full of laughter,
Without worrying about time
when we just used to loiter

I miss those days
which were full of pranks n mischief,
When we used to burst into laughing
without minding the crowd or anything

People used to mock us
& call us the laughter stock,
yet we were unmindful
& simply used to rock!

Yes I long for the lost happiness
for the lost world,
My today seems to be void minus those moments
Its like an ocean without a pearl!

For the moments we spent together
were The Best,
As we used to have a blast
with all the zeal n the zest.

Today we know its not possible for us
to rewind again,
As we were girls then, n now a mother n a wife
who has taken a more responsible path now in life.

But I still live in those moments
by rewinding the cute, sweet, unforgettable memories,
By smiling all alone
forgetting all my present worries!

Laughter - Laughter

LAUGHTER - LAUGHTER

laughter - laughter here I come
to make my friend smile and calm
jump and jump to the left to the right
thru the day time and night

laughter - laughter here I am
to make true all the sweetest dreams
like my friend always has in sleep
thru the very beautiful night
that will never skip

laughter - laughter here we are
my friend and I are blab - blab - blab
and we are happy and careless
cause the better future are waiting for us

laughter - laughter, who are you?
WHAT! you don't recognize me?
I am sorry, I thought I know you
but just let it be
because a real friendship doesn't care who we are

I'll remember

I'll remember you
Your smile
Your laughter
And your brown eyes

Your smile was the most beautiful smile I've ever saw
It's hotter than fire
It's prettier than me
Your smile was a sun to me
You smile to welcome me
And to let me know that you loved me
Your smile was charming and calm
No matter how others' smiles are beautiful
As long as it's not yours, it's not special.

Your laughter was the most fantastic music I ever heard
The gentle melody with cheerful and soft harmony
I was glad I could listen to it everyday
Your laughter was a medicine to all the scars in my heart
When you laughed, I laughed
All the burdens, sadness, and angriness flowed away as I laughed
Your laughter was much more special than any other laughter.

I'll remember your brown eyes
Your brown eyes always looks into mine and says 3 wonderful words
I love you
I love to look at your eyes
I could see the reflection of me, only me
And it's so warm and sweet
Warmer and sweeter than drinking hot chocolate in winter
Your laughter always remain inside my heart forever.

I'll remember you
Your smile
Your laughter
And your brown eyes
No matter how pretty and beautiful other people's smile, laughter, and eyes are, if they're not yours than they're no special.
I want to thank you for everything
Thank you for always being there and my hero
And thank you for being with me and loving me
I'll remember you.

Solitude Of Togetherness

I love my solitude
Coz when I am lonely
I am with you
I feel ur presence around me.
The moments of our togetherness
Comes alive again
The moments of joy, laughter, sorrow
The moments we shared 2gether
Moments when we sat side by side
And let the silence speak for us
Its when I am lonely
The time comes to a stop
And I relive our memories
I feel the happiness of ur compainionship
I feel the pain of losing u
I understand what u meant to me
And how much I love you
I love my solitude
I find solace in my lonliness
And I am with you

A Little Laughter

Laughter shows no disrespect
to the memories of those we've lost…
sadness is a fact that will remain

An absence creates a vast emptiness
when a love that was shared is severed…
laughter is a small way to ease the pain

Share a little laughter with a friend
even when shadows of sorrow
are laden in the clouds of rain

A little laughter sparingly shared
can bring warm rays of sunshine
breaking through… keeping us sane

Loved ones who have passed
would want us remember this…
In their memory... enjoy life again

Memory Walkway

O how I miss those times
Those times with you
Those times when i felt so happy
Those times when we were both so happy
And now it's all gone
And we can't get it back
It's all gone
Forever
O how I wish i could go back
And relive my mistakes
Relive those times
Be happy again
For once
In my life I was happy
Nothing else could've brought me down
Until the day that it ended
The day it all cam crashing down on me
Everything died
Nothing was fine
Everybody thinks I'm happy
But how could I be?
Use your common sense people
Can't you all see that I'm not happy?
Memory Walkway
O how I miss those times

One By One

Bobby lakind/michael mcdonald
Where and why Im destined to go
Right here and now thats all I know
On either side future or past
Neither is real both fade so fast
So one by one were given these moments to live just as one by one theyre taken away
So one by one Im taking each day in my stride
And one by one the memories stay
Good times are still there to find
When times are their worst
Keep your eyes open wide
cause through it all are moments that shine
And moments that glow
Im gonna be there for mine
So one by one were given these moments to live just as one by one theyre taken away
So one by one Im taking each day in my stride
And one by one the memories stay
Even when youre close to a dream
It can still let you down
Youll always have a chance to give up
So why do it now
So one by one were given these moments to live just as one by one theyre taken away
So one by one Im taking each day in my stride
And one by one the memories stay

We Need Some Laughter In Our Lives

We need some laughter in our lives since laughter makes us happy
I know this bloke he never smiles like baby with wet nappy
He always seems so close to tears for him I do feel pity
Financially well to do and spiritually poor many like him in this City
With a lovely school going daughter and a beautiful wife he ought to feel lighthearted
But happinness out of his life 'twould seem has long departed
A millionaire many times over his business it is thriving
But about him he has the sad look of one barely surviving
He needs some laughter in his life since by laughter he's forsaken
Without laughter happiness sleeps on and never does awaken
Materially wealthy but spiritually poor he always looks sad and lonely
But such is life as some do say and he is not the only
Wealthy person for to feel this way for him I feel some pity
For he is a poor man in some ways one of many in this City.

I Bid Thee Farewell

I bid thee farewell my sweet love
All the staggering moments we both shared
All the joy we both brought to one another's heart
All the great things we did for one another

I bid thee farewell my sweet love
All the laughter we shared together
All the memories we created together
All the pleasures we did for one another

I bid thee farewell my sweet love
It was good while it lasted
O, I do miss it, all those moments
I am only left with memories, which I shall forever cherish

I bid thee farewell my sweet love
Now that it is all over, all I can do is bid thee farewell
As I must set you free, free to be happy
