Abrasive Waves (Revised)
Belligerent discourse, each statement
aggressively confronts, an aggravated
inflexion rasps pugnaciously, grating
voice deepens ostentatiously for each
pretentious word at end-of-phrase
Drawn out vowels – discordant notes
create nerve-quaking noise, grows
exasperation in already aching ears,
words exploding in my mind until I’m
speechless with dismay
Only physical separation can dissipate
this callous cacophony, prevent it from
breaking in abrasive waves…
[ORIGINAL]
Belligerent talking, every statement
an aggressive challenge, an irritated
inflexion becoming a rasping sound,
lowering this grating voice for each
significant word at the end of a phrase
Drawn out vowels in discordant notes
become a nerve-wrecking noise, creating
a feeling of such exasperation my ears
start to hurt, exploding in my mind
until I am speechless with dismay
Only physical distance can shut out this
callous cacophony breaking in
abrasive waves…

Because I'm speechless...
Because I'm speechless...
I miss you and i
Stand behind you
Always in you shadow,
cry with a cloud face
Because I'm speechless.
Because I'm speechless...
Because it has been tenable
In my silence still,
I can't even seem
To utter a word.
Because my love weep
I'm still speechless.

Well
'Well' is the most used word in your vocabulary.
'Well' is the word you use to give you the last one.
'Well' is the word when you're losing an argument.
'Well' is the word used when talking is done
'Well' gives you time for further consideration.
'Well' gives you chance to later state your case.
'Well' to you is an answer not a question.
'Well' is the word to use in time of haste.
'Well' is the word you use to cause exasperation.
'Well' is used because you can't think on your feet.
'Well' alleviates embarrassment in your slow repartee.
'Well' is the way to halt an argument's defeat.

Worldly faces never look so worldly as at a funeral. They have the same effect of grating incongruity as the sound of a coarse voice breaking the solemn silence of night.

TEST: Listening part
My mind was blocked by the hardness of ears
My brain was half shut when I tried to understand
All I heard just became noise
The sound of meaningless voice
Time rushed problems rushed tension
So I grabbed every spider's silk reached
To get my point from

Word Made Flesh
Suck my breast, I'm the word made flesh
Ain't no rest for the word made flesh
My lips are moving but I hear no sound
It's that same old noise, it's in sensurround
Tune yourself up and count yourself down
Word made flesh, word made flesh
Lord help me rise to this occasion
Word made, word made flesh
I've been toiling so hard in the vineyard
Pay your debts to the word made flesh
East meets west in the word made flesh
I see you talking, but I still can't hear
Like a box of glass blocking off my ears
Turn off the charm and prey on your fears
Brainless pests for the word made flesh
Wall Street desks curse the word made flesh

One Clear Voice
The whole world is talking
Drowning out my voice
How can I hear myself
With all this noise
But all this confusion
Just disappears
When I find a quiet place
Where I can hear
(chorus)
One clear voice
Calling out for me to listen
One clear voice
Whispers words of wisdom
I close my eyes
till I find what Ive been missing
If Im very still, I will hear
One clear voice
Im always searching
For which path to take
Sometimes Im so afraid
To make mistakes
From somewhere inside me
Stronger than my fears
Just like the sound of music
To my ears, I hear
Chorus

Breaking The Law
There I was completely wasting, out of work and down
All inside its so frustrating as I drift from town to town
Feel as though nobody cares if I live or die
So I might as well begin to put some action in my life
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
So much for the golden future, I cant even start
Ive had every promise broken, theres anger in my heart
You dont know what its like, you dont have a clue
If you did youd find yourselves doing the same thing too
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
You dont know what its like
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law

A Few Words
A few words
Could bring more than a sound
Touch the ears turn wry to golden smile
or sharper than a glass to cut into pieces
Misunderstanding,
Winding up a road between us
Separating emotions out of mind from the case
Would be wrong to let ego reign the grace
How ignorant sometimes heart could be?
Deaf two ears, and blinding opened eyes
Pretend the silence is your voice
Avoiding you is not a choice
Misunderstanding
A curse of few words
Lead a way to stray from the truth
A plead for apologizing replied by ignoring
A few words used for fighting and shouting and hurting
You............Silence
Standing still but beautifully broken
I looked into your eyes and surprised
In a mirror of a story without lies
Heard...listened a word...'sorry'
Encodes a meaning of 'Forgive me'
No, your lips tightly sealed
It is your voice within sent to me
A few words
I used as the sharp glass tease
Cut you deeply, and you bleed
Saw it all behind the naked eyes
But you still standing to hold me
Never mind how wrong i can be
How i can find a magic in a few words
To heal your pain stained and clot
Regretting how wrong i did to you
To believe unreal and count your tears
I never thought so hurtful this way
When i thinking of myself it linking to you
I hurting myself whenever i hurt you
A few words
I tried to search for proper sorry
Would you blind your eyes, deaf two ears?
Words crime sound nothing but now i fear?
It fears me as i don't to lose you
...Forget the past and start a new
we never meant to be hurt...
You replied with A few words
In form of softness creating golden smile
Your sweet words neutralize the voice of bile
I learned how to speak when i was a child
But just understanding 'A few words' now
Misunderstanding
Lesson of learning to understand
If i can turn back each time i hurt you
Will avoid this bruises stamp on you
Now, between this winding road
As i standing at the aisle of choices
Picking either Emotions or Mind
Decided to fuse, balance these two
A relevant choice for not to hurt you
Sanity tell all to me,
We meet not to wait this end
We born to be happy till the end of time
A few words
Powerful or hurtful
Time to choose...

0011 Chet Baker Sings and Plays: a homage
That’s the word we use
for the abrupt suddenness
of the old rubber-squeezed car horn
on the outside, by the driving seat
of the old battered Ford
and unforgettably for the anguished heart,
the bugle on the battlefield
as stretcher-bearers move in gathering dusk,
the final drawn-out, liquid, haunting pa-a-a-rp.... dies away
to pregnant, bloody silence;
death after life; life after death.
and then the sound of the civilian trumpet
in the days of the uneasy, hopeful postwar peace
hitting our eardrums, calling to attention,
stirring our blood
or perversely,
making the silence in between the notes
more silent, more laid back, more significant,
as if to say, how quickly
rest may follow action, action rest,
hot, cool; cool, hot;
So trumpet can be voice; voice, trumpet;
behind them, heart and mind, and mood and mode
sing, even whisper, you’re unforgettable,
that’s what you are; there will never be
another you; that’s how it is;
if you don’t know what love is,
I’ll play it to you; maybe sing..
his husky, boyish voice,
a hint of Oklahoma on Pacific shores,
sang – sings – the standards tenderly
as if they are the given texts for all mankind
of this new day of love; they apply
to him, and you; and everyone; so
he makes no pretence he thought them first; .
yet, in the long pauses in his singing, he's thinking them into now.
then as the line’s still finishing, his trumpet
turns the words to comment, as the cage is opened,
the bird flies out and up, released to joy
in boundless air and space;
as if it were outside the soundproofed recording studio
but recognised the song; and knew itself as free,
soaring high in sad songs or in glad songs,
knowing them the same at heart,
as a trumpet soars its notes
out over the Pacific air as gulls call to the waves,
singing liberty, equality, fraternity -
I’m telling you what love is

Loves Cacophony
For a love which seems so simple
That with quiet ease it must ring true
A rousing chorus does sound
Which deafens the calls of sanity
Should love be an illness of the mind
A sick note to the heart
Let it play and be sung in my own
That I am maddened by the sounds
The words of love which speak
Make no sense but to themselves
The song of which this word does sing
Let me be lost in their melody
Confused in their chorus
And drawn to their verse
Oh the words and sounds of love
How simple they claim to be
I find myself happily lost
In loves cacophony

The Noise
the people of this world has produced so much noise
the honk, the fan, the sirens,
all these machines that pierce the ears of silence
all these restlessness
making holes in our hearts
i know, you are not loved
and there is so much noise from your pains
the miseries that seek the company of more miseries
i know you have loved much
much greater much painful than you can even afford to give
the babbles, the ramblings, the rattling of the bones
stripped of their flesh
the restless mind looking for the cure
these aches in every corner of the mind
drink some glasses of hard liquor
take the analgesics of other friends
on the same boat with you
the noise is too much
unbearable in fact not only to our ears
but the protest of all our senses
but wait, try this, this sacrifice
that sits on the corner of this nook
silently talking to itself
the irony of loving and being hurt
the tragedy of the smile
that you force upon your mouth
the upper lip that kisses the lower lip
your hands may caress all that you are
your mind shall rest
in the soft comforting bosom of your heart
try this unprotesting silence
and the noise dies
then you have triumphed
the contentment of your loving arms
embracing no one
but the self that you have accepted
as your friend
the noise leaves, the silence lies
like that beautiful lady waiting on your bed

Noise
Dads stuck in the factory, machines are banging all around.
Mommas in the kitchen, she got the radio on all the time.
My little sisters screaming, and stamping on the ground.
And the radio keeps pumping out the same old boring sound.
All I hear is noise.
Cant get away from the noise.
Can you hear me above the noise?
Can you, can you, can you, can you, can you, can you hear me?
Can you hear the noise? (noise)
Cant get away from the noise. (noise)
Can you hear me above the noise? (noise)
Can you, can you, can you, can you, can you, can you hear me?
Banging in my ears, in every direction.
Listen to the roar, hear that city[? ], poundin, poundin.
There oughta be a law, hey buddy, turn that radio down.
Sometimes I get used to it and I forget that its around.
But all I hear is noise. (noise)
Cant get away from noise. (noise)
Can you hear me above the noise? (noise)
All of this confusion is ruining my day.
Let the noise be like the sunset, and slowly fade away.
Fading, fade.
Girl, I want to build a better world for me and you.
I wanna pull out all the plugs before I finally blow my fuse.
Wish all the confusion would slowly fade away.
Id tell you that I love you, but you dont hear what I way.
All you hear is noise. (noise)
Cant get away from noise. (noise)
Can you hear me above the noise? (noise)
Can you, can you, can you, can you, can you, can you hear me?
Noise in the street, theyre digging up the pavement.
Noise in the air, those traffic jams are everywhere.
Noise on noise, to cover up the noise.
The pressures building up because theres no way to avoid,
All the noise. (noise)
Cant get away from noise. (noise)
Can you hear me above the noise? (noise)
All of this confusion is ruining my day.
Let the noise be like the sunset, and slowly fade away.
Fading, fading.

Intrigue
Not a single fictitious character in my head,
the inner monologue is dead - not a single
feeling stirring, no emotion except the dis-
comfort of boredom being uncomfortable
in my chair, in exasperation I wonder what
part of my wild diet is turning on me today
Why did my pre-physical spirit decide to have
allergies and pay for each sin of dietary indis-
cretion with physical and mental discomfort -
was this some idiotic pre-birth plan to keep my
life within narrow confines as happy all-knowing
spiritualists claim, wrongly, as far as I can see
I only turn into a self-pitying grumbler and that
can't be good, just waiting for time to pass to
eat again - if only my inner group of characters
would present a story again - life is so boring
without an intrigue in the mind!

Cause And Control
a nerve has its own domain
like a territory
when a bone creates a wrong
the nerve begins to run
out of control
an impingement
an erroneous reach out
a right arm screams in pain
stressed out
the mind invents a fabrication
you do not mind it
trace the cause
it's but a nerve, that nerve
that hate.

Hysteria
it's bugging me
grating me
and twisting me around
yeah I'm endlessly
caving in
and turning inside out
because I want it now
I want it now
give me your heart and your soul
and I'm breaking out
I'm breaking out
last chance to lose control
it's holding me
morphing me
and forcing me to strive
to be endlessly
cold within
and dreaming I'm alive
because I want it now
I want it now
give me your heart and your soul
I'm not breaking down
I'm breaking out
last chance to lose control
and I want you now
I want you now
I feel my heart implode
and I'm breaking out
escaping now
feeling my faith erode

The Abuser
it does not matter if you're male or female
in the mind of a abuser
they will always prevail.
when you allow the abuse from the start
in you life, it becomes a part.
whether it's verbal or physical, it matters not
you let it start, and it won't stop.
the verbal can be more damaging than the physical
because it becomes daily.
like a sculptor chipping away at its mold
until it becomes the way that they want it to be.
and if you don't stop it
you will never be free.
they do it because of their own inadequacy.
which is something that their mind won't see.
how much abuse should you take
before it becomes much to late?
the verbal abuser will always put you to the ground
and expect you to not make a sound.
they will tell you that you was put here to serve.
and to make a move, you have no nerve.
that you must obey their every command
and that you are the scum of the land.
if you have no - or low self esteem
it is something which will be seen.
and when an abuser has you in their sight
no matter what you do, it won't be right.
STOP the abuse, before it's too late.
for this can not be your destined fate.
the verbal abuse will always start first
then from there, it will get worse.
YOU must walk away, so that they can see
a victim you will not be.
(abuse is like a broken tool, it could damage whatever is good)

In My Head
In my head
voices speak,
Ingrid says,
each one suggesting
different things,
proposing I do this
or that, each voice
distinct from the other.
The Psychiatrist
pares his nails,
gazes at the photo
of his wife and kids,
the silver frame,
the wife with that stupid grin,
and the voice of Ingrid
grating on his ears,
like some whiny cat
shut out in the night
with the heavy rain.
In my head,
Ingrid says,
voices are beginning again.

Words
Words,
mere words,
Mind’s birds.
Alpha to omega,
conglomeration of syllables,
Meeting of vowels,
Flirting of consonants.
It’s permutations
and combinations
begets
Couplets, stanzas
poetry’s extravaganza
Or maybe haikus
tankas, senyrus
allegories, lyrics
epigrams, limericks
sonnets, elegy
epics and cacophony.
Words have so much-
to say in ones life
Joie de vivre
can infuse life in dead
Vitriolic venom
can fill another with dread
can start Armageddon
can broach a peace deal
A trump card for politicians
a balm for the lonely
a granary for the poets
a missile in a duel
a bower of hope
Some words so calm
and tranquil
methinks I hear
in accents low
some so harsh
give goose pimples
some so witty
can make one
smile away all the blues
and some spewed
like venom
even one word
will drive deaths nail
deep within you.
So choose the right words
For the right moment
And at the right time
Beware
or you
will be caught in
devil’s snare.

Silence is the axe
You are the vowels and I, consonants;
When was the word formed?
It must have, perhaps, in our first meet.
You are cotton and I, fire,
The gap between us hare-line,
Enough to prevent from sparking.
I do not want to be with you but in you;
I do not want you to be in me but with me.
You do not know what I feel of you
Nor have I courage to reveal it either.
Silence is the axe, the word was split.

The Sounds
I can hear her heart beat
It seams a little strong
I can hear the things I did wrong
I can hear her thoughts
By looking in her eyes
I can hear her all the times she cried
I can hear the memories
As they echo off the wall
Falling from the pictures down the hall
I can hear regret
Building up in side of me
And I can hear all the things
I could not see
Those are the sounds of a woman leaving
Stronger then the wind in a willow tree
Those are the sounds of a heart breaking
You can't hear it
But the noise is killing me
I should of heard it coming
But I chose to pretend
I should of recognizes that sound
Way back then
But I just wouldn't listen didn't want to all those years
Now the truth is ringing clear
In my ears
Those are the sounds of a woman leaving
Stronger then the wind in willow tree
Those are the sounds of a heart breaking
You can't hear it
But the noise is killing me
Those are the sounds of a heart breaking
You can't hear it
But the noise is killing me
I can hear it
And the silent is killing me
