The countdown has begun,
As you prepare to leave coming autumn.
You look excited yet subdued,
At times I catch you brood.
Yes, it’s hard to leave behind,
All you have known all your life.
Stepping out of home for the first time,
To go away thousands of miles.
So much change can cause anybody,
A lot of anticipatory anxiety.
If you get homesick and feel out of place,
We can meet and chat in cyber space.
use this time to expore the city,
with abandon like a nomad and a gypsy.
walk the streets, taste the food
talk to the locals, get into the mood.
take it as a big adventure,
learn, have fun, not just as a visitor.
you'll be amazed to discover
people want the same things all over.
love, laughter, caring and sharing.

My Hometown
Jersey City is where I was born
I woke up to see many a dawns
It's not a bad city, it was a place to live
But there were many times it didn't forgive
The streets were tough, the winter's cold
It s city you can embrace, but one you can never hold
The streets will own you and rule you
There's not too much one can do
After some years you'll be ready to leave
It will no longer have the things you need
That's when you know it's time to leave
Because in the city you can longer believe
Now people grow up there and decide to stay

Separation
If I walk a thousand miles
and have no place to go
my adventure will be worrisome
and all the things I know
will make me want to hesitate
before taking another stride.
For all the places I leave behind
are places where I cried.
But I needed the walk to show me
that escape was not the way.
All I did was travel right along
and at the end of the day
those miles I walked were numbing
and gave me nothing new.
So I walked a thousand more miles
and came back home to you.

You have the right to bend over you must do anything they tell you now you must not fight or cuss or get angry at the perverts or the queers or queens in charge of the citezen rights. Corporate city is ant see not see communistic in its view of worms inside the people lives as nothing to the function of the building more important then the people using functions within the soulless city proper is the administration hiding in the 666 in functions and in offices still hidden from the public eye feel like a Protestant hiding in a catholic cemetery in plain cite of the city guards. Eye candle my wick no one shall force me to be criminal eye keep my own council a corporate city makes up its own rules the people the poor the poor people are fools jesting and prancing but no sitting no standing allowed in corporate amerika no homeless allowed to eat inside the money is not green they must not be saved in a plain brown wrapper is the food gone eye will eat the scrounge and found eye am so fond dew will come the snakes will leave my San Antonio for winter comes. Eye will remain a buffoon perhaps iff my toe gets better where eye can walk more miles eye will try to find a dry space on the freeway loop the 410 freeway loops around this city it is perhaps only 5 miles from me every day much too far to walk in my condition is uncertain but eye pray to Saint Jude the Saint of all depression. Never Coming Home
Well it's five in the morning and the light's already broken
And the rainy streets are empty for nobody else has woken
Yet you turn towards the window as he sleeps beneath the covers
And you wonder what he's dreaming in his slumbers
There's a clock upon the table and it's burning up the hour
And you feel your life is shrinking like the petals of a flower
As you creep towards the closet you're so careful not to wake him
And you choose the cotton dress you bought last summer
There's a time of indecision between the bedroom and the door
But the part of you that knows that you can't take it any more
There's the promise of the future in the creaking of the floor
And you're torn if you should leave him with a number
And in your imagination you're a thousand miles away
Because too many of his promises got broken on the way
So you write it in a letter all the things you couldn't say

She starts running for the railway station praying that her calculation's right
