You are not going to know,
From where I'll be coming from!
The flow of winds and I are not strangers.
I am not one to make announcements,
To prepare anyone for my arrival.
I am coming with no expectations.
And none will I honor or receive.
Yet,
To anyone I deliver,
Quickly my respect.
I am often easy to please.
Although I prefer spontaneity!
Routine is okay.
But I don't try to wear it as a fit,
For my way of life.
And...
I'll be the first to excuse myself and leave...
If it gets too thick I can detect it!

Uncomfortable With Themselves
I am a slave to spontaneity.
I can not see myself,
As a keeper of 'stats'.
And one who massages personalities,
Of those who have reached heights...
With expectations to be treated,
As if they keep secrets from Mother Nature.
You know the kind!
The ones who rattle off résumés of folks,
To entitle themselves to feel important.
And prefer to hobnob and mingle with those,
Of equal insecurities.
With a tolerance to pretend...
Others are the ones who have them.
I am a slave to spontaneity.
Anything premeditated...
Seems such a waste to what being 'real' is!
And some folks are so,
Uncomfortable with themselves.
Keeping that proper etiquette and home training appeal,
As boring as their conversations.

Christmas Is Coming
Christmas is coming
the turkeys' are getting fat
no one has told them
why we're doing that.
Christmas is coming
the stores are full, they're packed
with so many shoppers buying
buying this and this and that.
Happy holidays I call out
in case a passer by
is offended by an exclamation
that has a religious connotation.
Christmas is coming
the party dates are set
in a disco or a restaurant
some smart venue I should bet.

the supermarkets have a boom
of stuffings for a nation
that eats more than enough for two.

the children are all a quiver
with the expectations
of what Santa will soon deliver.

to celebrate and praise

Spontaneity
You know where and how to find me.
I make no attempts not to be accessible.
But to hear from others...
You have not seen me for awhile,
Is more than a bit embellished.
In fact...
The last time I saw you publicly,
You pretended not to see me at all.

Go ahead...
You have already proven,
To have a reliable selective memory.
Were you waiting from me to approach you?
To display your best act of phoniness?
I only have one face to give in this life.

I use to have those expectations myself,
When others I would see...
On the street with their friends,
Taking opportunities to avoid me.
But these are the days of our lives,

Odd Balls
Who needs other people coming to deliver,
Baskets of grief as if fruit to eat.
Respect is what is needed,
To help lift those tensions,
With relief.
Expressing respect,
Should be one's prime delivery.
False sympathies spoken,
From those hearts deep in misery.
Hinders the healing of the ones who leave,
Agonies felt,
Behind them as they mend.
They wish not to hear them over and over again.
Those that are able to reflect from mistakes,
Are free to welcome happiness,
With a shedding of that which has caused heartbreak.
And doing what it takes,
To stand strong and tall to then walk away.
Who needs other people coming to deliver,

I’m Coming Home
I listen to the train whistle blowing
as it disappears down the track.
I would have been on it
and not coming back,
but a little voice inside me said stop
and reconsider all the things you will lose.
I listened to that little voice
it made me stop and think
of what I was giving up
if I ran away.
Now I’m standing at the station
as the train disappears from view.
I’m coming home my daring;
I’m coming home to you.
I’m going to change I promise
my roving days are through.
I’m coming home for good
just to stay with you.
You’ll never have to worry
any more at closing doors.
There won’t be any leaving,
only when I’m coming home.
Our life hasn’t been easy

Heard to Say From Observances Relayed
With a 'healthy' mix that sits between giving,
And being solicitous...
Those who are unafraid to admit any wrongs perceived,
Or believed committed...
Can be relied upon for their genuine responses.
'Actions speak louder than words! '
Many are heard to say from observances relayed.
With betrayal conveyed by those reluctant,
And in hesitation to make any decisions that must be made.
To leave intentions mentioned,
Less effective than those deeds in faith done.
Allowing a respect no one second guesses to deliver.
'I don't particularly care for his directness!
He is too mean.
I prefer a more evasiveness!
At least a deceit can be easier to receive.
Leaving us all to 'feel' we can 'like' the one who does it! '
