A Glimpse of Heaven
The sky resplendent
With translucent streamers
Suspended from end to end…
In colours brilliant-
Fuchsia, grapefruit yellow
Dove white and indigo,
Watermelon red and,
Purple grapes.
I joined the celebrations
Along with crescent moon-
Looking with an indulgent smile
Like a grandparent, at a
Child, jumping with joy...
At 10,000 feet height
While flying,
Wondering if it was
A flight of fancy…
The city was fading away
In twilight, din of traffic
Far below,
Dim lights only sign
Of civilized living...
Just a shift of glance
Filled me with amazement
And I gasped incredible, incredible-
Festivities in the sky,
Is it a farewell to the Sun
On it’s onwards journey?
My spirits buoyed
And I revelled at this
Surreal representation,
Till I was rudely woken from my reverie
By a voice
We have reached our destination,
I touched ground,
After a glimpse of heaven…

Standing On The Moon
Standing on the moon
I got no cobweb on my shoe
Standing on the moon
Im feeling so alone and blue
I see the gulf of mexico
As tiny as a tear
The coast of california
Must be somewhere over here - over here
Standing on the moon
I see the battle rage below
Standing on the moon
I see the soldiers come and go
Theres a metal flag beside me
Someone planted long ago
Old glory standing stiffly
Crimson, white and indigo - indigo
I see all of southeast asia
I can see el salvador
I hear the cries of children
And the other songs of war
Its like a mighty melody
That rings down from the sky
Standing here upon the moon
I watch it all roll by - all roll by
Standing on the moon
With nothing else to do
A lovely view of heaven
But Id rather be with you
Standing on the moon
I see a shadow on the sun
Standing on the moon
The stars go fading one by one
I hear a cry of victory
And another of defeat
A scrap of age old lullaby
Down some forgotten street
Standing on the moon
Where talk is cheap and vision true
Standing on the moon
But I would rather be with you
Somewhere in san francisco
On a back porch in july
Just looking up to heaven
At this crescent in the sky
Standing on the moon
With nothing left to do
A lovely view of heaven
But Id rather be with you - be with you

How to make your wishes come true
She liked white and had not said a word yet
On her tenth birthday
she stood on the red steps
of the red opera house
-the red opera house on the north side of Sydney Harbour
almost opposite the white opera house
She scattered orange petals, yellow petals, green leaves and spoke
in a light blue voice
A bird of navy blue pink and gold feathers stood by her. Was this the grateful bird? Purple gold and white danced
She said
white stillness, pure gold, purple wonder, gold strength, pink joy, pink infinity, navy blue now, strong indigo blue, light blue fountain, the green first reason, compassionate orange, endless yellow,

Night was coming
Night was coming
with a piercing huge orange sun
breaking through
white and black clouds
in the west.
It found a gap
and the sun was hanging
like a orange ball
above the street
and it was blinding.
Cars passed barely visible
above the orange glare
and some had already
turned their lights on.
The sun dipped down
below some trees
and for a time
it glowed behind them
and soon it would be dark
and the first stars
were already appearing
and a full yellow moon
was rising,
but below bright lights
was already burning
right across the city
in colours of amber
streetlights
green, yellow and red
traffic lights,
blue lights flashing
on police cars
and almost every bright colour
caught on neon signs
while people came and went
to different destinations
some smiling and relaxed,
others in a hurry
and some others
locked in a world of their own.

The Minds of Those Like These
The escalation of a hatred,
By those accustomed to doing it...
Produces for them great sorrow.
And on borrowed time,
They proceed to show themselves...
Out of their minds with a choice to grieve.
Incredible.
Incredible...
Wh at people know.
What people know..
And find it,
Hard to believe.
And,
Incredible.
Incredible...
What people know.
What people know...
And find it,
Hard to conceive.
Self seekers enforcing to impose their will,
For the purpose to fulfill...
The prophesy of their demise.
So unwise are they who do not pay attention.
So unwise are they who do not listen!
As they forge ahead,
In disbelief of what has been 'envisioned'.
Or comprehend words to them said.
As they forge ahead,
Strickened by positions...
That restrict their minds to limited conditions.
Incredible.
Incredible...What people know.
What people know..
And find it,
Hard to believe.
And,
Incredible.
Incredible...
What people know.
What people know...
And find it,
Hard to conceive.
The escalation of a hatred,
By those accustomed to doing it...
Produces for them great sorrow.
And no tomorrows come to those,
Making attempts to dethrone and dispose...
Of truth and the existence of it,
Because they refuse to 'see'.
Instead of reacting emotionally,
To rapid revelations.
Programmed and delivered by the 'Deities'.
Incredible.
Incredible...
What people know.
What people know..
And find it,
Hard to believe.
And,
Incredible.
Incredible...
What people know.
What people know...
And find it,
Hard to conceive.
It is hard to believe,
How people live and they deceive!
It is hard to believe people who seek no remedy.
Incredible.
Incredible...
The minds of those like these.
Incredible.
Incredible...
The minds of those like these.

The 'Poem A Day' Project ~ Day 193
I’m a traffic cone up a tree
Someone on a drunken spree
With all of their might
Gave me new height
Here for all to see
I’m a traffic cone up a tree
Not really where I should be
I’m usually found
Much nearer the ground
Lined up uniformly
I’m a traffic cone up a tree
It makes me feel rather free
To have reached a place
No other cone’ll grace
Fills me with real glee
I’m a traffic cone up a tree
Plastic and bright orangey
I might catch the eye
Of some strange passer by
Who’ll write a poem about me

Fancy Colours
Going where the orange sun has never died
And your swirling marble eyes shine
Laughing
Burning blue the light
Bittersweet the drops of life
Memories only fading
Fancy colours
Fancy colours
All we ever did see
When were down at the sea
We see things so very clear at the sea
Fancy colours
Fancy colours
All we ever can do
The morning covered with dew
We do things so very fine in the dew
Fancy colours
Fancy colours
All we ever do hear
But whether were here or there
We hear things so very fine when were there

Kite
Come up and be a kite
Beelzebub is aching in my belly-o.
My feet are heavy and Im rooted in my wellios.
And I want to get away and go
From all these mirror windows.
I look at eye level, it isnt good enough.
And then I find it out when I take a good look up.
Theres a hole in the sky with a big eyeball
Calling me:
Come up and be a kite,
On a diamond flight!
A diamond kite, a diamond kite.
Ooh, what a diamond!
A diamond kite
On a diamond flight.
Over the lights, under the moon.
Over the lights, under the moon.
Over the moon, over the moon!
I feel a rush along my body, like a bullet.
Im 2-d after a push-and-pull feeling.
And I want to get back to safe home:
I love the homeland dome.*
I got no limbs, Im like a feather on the wind.
Well, Im not sure if I want to be up here, at all.
And Id like to be back on the ground,
But I dont know how to get down--down--down!
Come up and be a kite,
On a diamond flight!
A diamond kite, a diamond kite.
Ooh, what a diamond!
A diamond kite
On a diamond flight.
Over the lights, under the moon.
Over the lights, under the moon.
Over the moon, over the moon!

Life Is Incredible
Life is incredible
Nothing is impossible
Nothing is illegible
Life is incredible
Sometimes unfair
Like a nightmare
Sometimes like a dream
As clear as a beam
You have just to care
You have just to dare
Live it, share it
And you will go too far, so high
Like a rainbow in the sky
Life is incredible
Sometimes like a fairy tale
With the singing nightingale
but just dare live it
Think a bit
That's it Life is incredible

Flowerbed
Placed in the midst
Of a twilight zone
My vision went hazy,
My fancy disoriented,
And while my failed dreams
Were in desperation
I had a glimpse
At the loveliest of faces.
Under a white veil.
I stole a glance of the loveliness
Of the countenance benign,
While lamenting
Over the distorted reflections
On the fragmented glass remains
Of my dreams
Of phenomenal dimension,
Which I had fondled
And renewed over the years.
Through your white veil
I stole a glimpse
Of a fascinating amalgam
Of beauty and compassion,
A flowerbed
Of exclusive red roses
Of dewy-freshness
Clad by a thin pall
Of a late winter snow
Of Kashmir Valley.
Through your white veil
I had a glimpse
Of the last oasis
Of my life
In the midst of
A harsh and fiery desert.
Through that white veil
I rejoiced the sight
Of a gorgeous painting
Drawn by a ceremony
Of profound colours.
Under the white veil
I had again a glimpse
Of a fairy of Ajanta fresco
Full of exquisite tenderness
And love of beauty.
Yet, always with a suspicion
Of something deeper
And transcendental.
Beneath the white veil
That embellished your face
Like a patch of snow cladding
The upper reaches of your abode
I had a glimpse
Of your soil and scenery
Of reflection and reality
In full bloom.
A City Once Spoken Of
Every day shines with the lights of heaven
Every question imagined - unanswered.
Shaded under the tree of life
No more bloody blades, no more war
No more strife
Our spirits glowing on the golden shores
Warming and melting the crystal snow
Joyous and free the city forever keeps
Nature natural with secrets of the deep
A musical melody heavenly notes float
To this shade tree, I pause to whisper
Of a city once spoken of, a righteous city
Full of grace, hope, peace and love.
People never will know twilight, sin, pain, death
Again. Thoughts comfort my mind with tender flight.
My body does cherish these Earthly times, but I
Must leave their rhymes behind, as the bird of my soul
Roams skyward.
Truly if you have heard a faint whisper from above,
Set your sights on that city, and fly like a dove.

Sensitivities Have Been Numbed
It's incredible,
How the inevitable can be there glaring...
As those fixed into routines will not notice.
It is incredible,
How people can line up in front of a hotdog stand...
And ignore those homeless with nothing to eat,
Sitting on the street right behind them.
It's incredible how sensitivities have been numbed.
In a second one can express an empathy.
And in the next,
Have none.
Although argue with a vendor people do,
Over the price of added condiments.
It is incredible how people accept their selfishness,
With a relishing of mustard and onions to spread.
'You have any change for a hotdog? '
~Sorry.
I only have two twenties in my pocket.~
'Did You hear that, Father? '

Ballad IV
Farewell, my lady dear and dread,
Farewell, of all sovereign and queen,
Farewell, perfect and sacred head,
Farewell, who dost all honour mean,
Farewell, true heart, loyal and clean,
Farewell, best flower the world doth bear,
Farewell, yet not farewell, O white and fair !
Farewell, O wise, that no ill said,
Farewell, river that made life green,
Farewell, in whom fame harboured,
Farewell, voice that all ears could win,
Farewell, solace of all my teen,
Farewell, whose grace is wide as air,
Farewell, yet not farewell, O white and fair !
Farewell, soft look that through me sped,
Farewell, more fair than Helen queen,
Farewell, body and sweet soul wed,
Farewell, thou most gracious demesne,
Farewell, pole-star, joyous and keen,
Farewell, fountain of valour rare,
Farewell, yet not farewell, O white and fair !
Farewell, Princess of noblest mien,
Farewell, thou aweing smile serene,
Farewell, without fault, sin's despair,
Farewell, yet not farewell, O white and fair !

So Many Colours
Rainbows on my windowpanes,
Each one a different scene;
Pink, purple, yellow, green sheep;
Red, orange, indigo, clouds;
Can you see?
Rainbows on my windowpanes,
Each one a different scene;
Pink, purple, yellow, green aliens
Atop red, orange, indigo trees;
Can you see?
Rainbows on my windowpanes,
Each one a different scene;
Pink, purple, yellow, green everything,
Red, orange, indigo too;
Oh mommy daddy can't you see?
Why does everything have to be blue?

Standing Out Reality
I'm living in a civilized nation
Seeing true colours of cultural chime
Black or blue white too
All around the globe god bless you
Let's come together
We will fight
Our natural colours with delight
Civilized nation insight
Looking bright as we fight
For freedom and the guilt or racism...

Purple Sun
I would often imagine the sun was purple and there existed another solar system
In some far off distance in this never ending universe-
If the sun did not shine upon our horizon and the moon was always nearby?
Clouds could be none but smoke emanating from our planet earth,
Having been caught on fire-
Fire from the hell beneath our feet,
Flames rising from this hell we have never seen?
I have been asked "Do you believe in heaven and
Is there a god who radiates goodness and answers all of our prayers?
Then I would ask "What made the sun turn purple? "
I hear a voice saying ‘The sun has never been purple-
Your delusions have cast shadows upon the horizon and
You are lost inside of a trance-
A trance where the world is burning and the moon is fading behind the clouds-"
I would wonder if I could only awaken from this frightening reverie and
I hear a siren loudening as a vehicle approaches me -all I can do is to glance upward-
I hear voices saying "We are coming to take you away-"
I feel metal clasping about my wrists as I look up into the sky-
Rain is falling now but will not quench the flames and I ask "Why? "
I hear a voice respond "Because you have escaped reality-"
Voices are calling me, voices are threatening and which are real and which are not
I cannot distinguish- What is truly burning are the tears falling from my eyes and I find
My spirit escaping to that other solar system in this never ending universe-
In this never ending universe, inside of the world of my fondest dreams,
In this place where the sun is purple and the moon is always nearby,
Rising above golden mountaintops, where there is no hell beneath my feet-
I hear the slamming of metal doors as sirens louden-
But all fear has abandoned me because in a moment I can lose my spirit inside
The world of my fantasies-
My spirit becomes a bird that can fly away to that place where
The sun shall be forever purple- never burning- perhaps my body shall burn in hell, but
My spirit shall dance amongst the clouds, singing songs of joy and freedom,
Because I believe in heaven and perhaps there is a god radiating goodness,
Answering my prayers and pouring rain down to quench those flames from hell-so
Perhaps that is why everybody is laughing, -
I am laughing and that laughter has set me and everybody free,
The moon and the clouds disappear behind the mountaintops and as another day begins,
The purple sun of my dreams appears on the horizon…

Dream Girl
So amazing, unbelievacle, miraculous women you are.
Incredible, unforgetable, your the worlds greatest by far.
Sensational, so lovable, my cinderella you are.
So beautiful, ghetto fablous, the reason I wish upon a star.
As I lay me down to sleep i, pray your heart ill always keep it.
Hope you feel the same.
So baby come and hop on board my life and,
Just let love take us away.
[chorus:]
Dream girl lets take a flight,
Far away to a paradise.
Dream girl lets take a ride,
Destination rainbow skys.
Dream girl lets kiss and hug,
On a beach with white sand and all white doves.
Dream girl lets cuddle up.
Somewhere, where ever and make sweet love.
Baby you are my dream, dream, dream, dream girl
My sunshine, my blueskys, love is who you are to me girl,
My angel, my piece of mind, woman you have come to set me free.
Love makin, breath takin, sweet valentines to me.
Heart racin, creatin, and incredible fire within me.
I believe in you and me, together for all eternity.
And I hope you feel the same
So baby come and hope on board my life and, let love take us away.
[chorus]
Baby this love we make is to good to be true,
Heaven must really love me because heaven sent me you.
Keep bringing me joy, I dont wanna wake up.
I stay asleep as long as I can have you right here in my dreams.
