An Ever Moving Friend

A shadows moves forward,
It`s mine...mine alone ever.
My shadow has a mission
He must tread past me ever and everywhere
Irrespective directions and distances.
He is like a calf mischevious full of energy.

Each time my shadow reaches the destination a lot early
And he sends a message to me with spellings accurate:
'I have reached safe, don`t worry'.
Should I go back now? I am uncertain.
I see very often much to my head-ache
Men and women travelling with no shadows close.

My shadow alone moves on leaving me far behind
And I just wish him all the best while I blow out a sad smile.
One day his destinations will end for want of pathways.
Then he will stay with me I am sure.
And he will triumph in his spring of youth
He doesn`t know about the unlaid tracks ahead.

A shadows moves forward,
It`s mine...mine alone ever.
An ever moving friend

You Are My Shadow

My shadow has atleast been of my size.
It was not mine for long, I proclaim

About my shadow very close to me
I think at times my dear you are a little bigger.
It is a shadow that needs no sun
Nor the kindness of a moon.
You are that- I have ever felt.

After me and before me
It moves like my past and future dear...
A shadow that wades across my world of no fun
Or the nod of a god who gives no boon.
You are that-I have ever said.

When I won`t exist in tomorrow`s world
What will you do my dear?
In the chambers of darkness ahead
Will you burn for our little one?
You are to answer-I have ever said.

My shadow has been mine thus
As you begin to shrink to my size.
You have never been so earlier
I am now to stand in the sun and under the moon
You have already answered.

Shadow March

All around the house is the jet-black night;
It stares through the window-pane;
It crawls in the corners, hiding from the light,
And it moves with the moving flame.

Now my little heart goes a beating like a drum,
With the breath of the Bogies in my hair;
And all around the candle and the crooked shadows come,
And go marching along up the stair.

The shadow of the balusters, the shadow of the lamp,
The shadow of the child that goes to bed--
All the wicked shadows coming tramp, tramp, tramp,
With the black night overhead.

His Shadow

When I was young
the shadow he cast was long.
When I was afraid.
In his shadow I could be brave.

Walking together
watching his shadow by mine.
I yearned for the time
like his my shadow would be long.

As the fledgling finally
flies alone from the nest.
To step away from his shadow
my time came.

One day long after
my child at my side.
Two shadows I saw.
One long joined one small.

In my thoughts
I reflected to when
the longer shadow.
My father cast.

I realized
the time had come.
The father's shadow
now my shadow.

Rover Chronicle

The rover leaves his home
Leaving his father with right hand
Leaving his mother with left hand
Leaving his brother with right foot
Leaving his childhood with left foot

He moves forward and release the burden
Put the cushion from his back
Put the robe from his shoulder
Put the wine from his waist

The rover goes and sacrifices all
Sacrifice his fellowship
Sacrifice his lover
Sacrifice his soul

He still moves forward though lost everything
The Gods condemn him
All mothers wail over him

Because the rover keeps moving forward
Leaving tears
Leaving past
Looking for redemption
For everything he left
When he moves forward

The Girl Who Loved Her Own Shadow

The girl who loved her own shadow
Once had a nightmare for all times.
She saw in it boys and men without shadows at all!
They were men indeed.

Men with muscles and moustaches as ever
But none had a shadow of their own!
Her father and brother were there
They too had no shadows of any size!

Scared and doomed she was
As she saw that her mother and elder sister
Too had either no shadows or they were very short!
But she saw her own shadow close to herself!

As the nightmare ended, she was seen
Lying in the flood of sweat.
But as she opened the window and she saw another sky
And her sun of resolution was there alone.

She walked along the gravel track
And saw and felt somebody following close to her.
It was her own shadow, another self of tall heights.
She was the first girl who loved her own shadow.

Look back never!
A shadow may be or may not be there.
Sleep not ever!
A dream and a nightmare chase us ever.

Shadows

There are two of me
One does the right thing,
One cannot see.
Standing back to back,
Who is the strong one
In the last act?
Every path I take,
Roads I go down,
Choices I make,
Take me right between
Patches of light and
Darkness in me.
Oh, we have to keep
A watch on our shadows--
Every move
They secretly make.
We try to be
So close to heaven,
But then our shadows,
They run away.
They pull away.
Oh....
And the shadows prove,
Falling behind,
Tracing each move, oh,
When I do some wrong,
There is no hiding;
Shadows are long.
So we have to keep
A watch on our shadows--
Every move (every move)
They secret make, yeah, yeah,
We try to be
So close to heaven, (mmmm....)
But then our shadows,
Pull us away.
They pull away....
We have to keep
A watch on our shadows--
Every move (ooooh....)
They secretly make, yeah,
We try to be
So close to heaven,
But then our shadows,
They pull us away.
Oh, we have to keep
A watch on our shadows--
Every move (oooh....) they secretly make, yeah,
We try to be
So close to heaven,
But then our shadows
Pull us away.
Pull us away.
Pull us away.
(ha, hu ha, oh no, cha cha.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
Keepin it under my shadow.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
On my shadow.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
Keepin it under my shadow.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
Keepin it under my shadow.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
Keepin it under my shadow.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.
On my shadow.
Oh no, gotta keep our watch.

Oh no, gotta keep our watch.

My Shadow

Things I have left behind
Within an effort to move forward,
Counting every minute, every second-
Reliving my life through every hour, day and year-
The night time sky is falling before my own eyes
Blocking the pathway before me, blinding me-
I cannot foresee a future-The rain that fell every time
I tried to venture outward,
Rain that transformed to tears
When all hope had ostensibly disappeared.
Things I have left behind-
Places where I had been locked inside,
Having lost grounds with all that is real-
Perhaps a few roses in a cracked vase by my bedside,
A mother that did not care and a father that did not believe-
When through my own eyes my world had fallen to pieces.
I left behind many people-
People I did not trust and it was then that I knew
I had to rebuild my foundation,
To build a future for myself that would be mine and mine alone-
Things I have left behind are now
Gone and gone forever-all that is left is time-
Time to move on and to bury the past in my back yard and
Search for hope, a purpose and a new reality.
These things I have left behind are sinking into the ground-
Now I can foresee a future- the flame on my candle is burning
Guiding me as I run forward into a garden of blossoming trees and
A paved pathway upon which to run forward- and a cloudless sky
Where I can lift my wings, once broken and are healing, and fly-
Fly high above looking down below at my newfound veracity-
I know if I were to take a look behind-
All I could see would be a shadow upon a sidewalk-
A shadow of my past and everybody knows that shadows don't last forever, and
All else that I have left behind is gone forever,
Looking forward at the allure of the springtime and
I see clearly now- there is no more rain and as I look above me
I can see trees seemingly touching the sun against a deep blue sky-
I can see clearly now because my eyes are open wide and
There are no tears to cry today and when I glance behind me-
All I see is a shadow- that shadow of my past, vanishing in the late spring's breeze-

Nocturne III

One night
one night all full of murmurings, of perfumes and music of wings;
one night
in which fantastic fireflies burnt in the humid nuptial shadows,
slowly by my side, pressed altogether close, silent and pale,
as if a presentiment of infinite bitternesses
agitated you unto the most hidden fibers of your being,
along the flowering path which crosses the plain
you walked;
and the full moon
in the infinite and profound blue heavens scattered its white light;
and your shadow,
fine and languid,
and my shadow
projected by the rays of the moon,
upon the sorrowful sands
of the path, joined together;
and they became one,
and they became one,
and they became only one long shadow,
and they became only one long shadow,
and they became only one long shadow....

Tonight
alone; my soul
full of the infinite bitternesses and agonies of your death,
separated from you by time, by the tomb and by distance,
by the infinite blackness
where our voice cannot reach,
silent and alone
along the path I walked ...
And the barking of dogs at the moon could be heard,
at the pale moon,
and the chirping
of the frogs ...
I felt cold. It was the coldness that in your alcove
your cheeks and your temples and your adoréd hands possessed
within the snowy whiteness
of the mortuary sheets.
It was the coldness of the sepulcher, it was the ice of death,
it was the coldness of oblivion.
And my shadow,
projected by the rays of the moon,
walked alone,
walked alone,
walked alone along the solitary plain;
and your shadow, svelte and agile,
fine and languid,
as in that warm night of springtime death,
as in that night full of murmurings, of perfumes and music of wings,
approached and walked with mine,
approached and walked with mine,
approached and walked with mine ... Oh, the shadows intertwined!
Oh, the corporeal shadows united with the shadows of the souls!
Oh, the seeking shadows in those nights of sorrows and of tears!

The Package

Clever got me this far
Then tricky got me in
Eye on what I'm after
I don't need another friend
Smile and drop the cliche
'Till you think I'm listening
I take just what I came for
Then I'm out the door again
Peripheral on the package
Don't care to settle in
Time to feed the monster
I don't need another friend
Comfort is a mystery
Crawling out of my own skin
Just give me what I came for, then I'm out the door again
Lie to get what I came for
Lie to get just what I need
Lie to get what I crave
Lie and smile to get what's mine
Eye on what I'm after
I don't need another friend
Nod and watch your lips move
If you need me to pretend
Because clever got me this far
Then tricky got me in
I'll take just what I came for
Then I'm out the door again
Lie to get what I came for
Lie to get what I need now
Lie to get what I'm craving
Lie and smile to get what's mine
Give this to me
Mine, mine, mine
Take what's mine
Mine, mine, mine
Take what's mine
Mine, mine, mine
Lie to get what I came for
Lie to get what I need now
Lie to get what I crave
Lie to smile and get what's mine
Give this to me
Take what's mine
Mine, mine, mine
Take what's mine
Give this to me
Take what's mine, take what's mine, mine...
Take what's mine, take what's mine, take what's mine,
This is mine, mine, mine, not mine

The Time And Shadow

Sometimes you walk away never looking back,
Trying to call you wont hear me,
The shadows that remain in my thoughts,
The visions that my eyes do see,
The drum beats make me remember,
Walk a mile or even double up,
Run a mile, and run for a while,
The time and shadows, I will be waiting

Does it ever cross your mind,
The love that my heart longs to give,
My mind did picture your face,
Its you my instincts do testify,
Has it ever crossed your mind,
The man you leave behind,
Walking away when you needed most,
I am determinism, determinism is me
The times and shadows, i will be waiting

Within the twinkling of an eye,
You maybe several metres away,
My mind is certain what I adore,
To be domiciled in you heart,
Just as long as I stay,
The time and shadows, I will be waiting

The million whispers I make,
To be in my arms and finding peace,
Finding joy in the pleasure of my lips,
Making love under the stars,
Scream my name a million times,
Such is love, such is us
The wish of a man in summer,
To see the snow whiten up his roof,
Against all the odds is my heart,
To wait upon the pregnant dream,
The time and shadow, I will be waiting

The clouds are gathering, sweet one,
Who knows, one day you will be mine,
All the agony trenched and eroded,
Wishing water over the bridge,
So stupid but the shadows I see,
Tomorrow you might always be mine,
The time and shadow, I will be waiting

Shadow

Your body's warm but you are not
You give a little not a lot
It could be love until we kiss
You're all I want but not like this
I'm watching you disappear
But you, you were never here
CHOURS
It's only your shadow,
Never yourself
It's only your shadow,
Nobody else
It's only your shadow,
Filling the room
Arriving too late
And leaving too soon.
And leaving too soon.
Your body gives but then holds back
The sun is bright the sky is black
Can only be another sign
I can not I keep what isn't mine
Your laughter, it lingers on
But you, you were almost gone
CHOURS
It's only your shadow,
Never yourself
It's only your shadow,
Nobody else
It's only your shadow,
Filling the room
Arriving too late
And leaving too soon.
And leaving too soon.
How can I tell if you mean what you say?
You say it so loud but you sound far away
Maybe I'll have just a glimpse of your soul
Or was that your shadow I saw on the wall?
I'm watching you disappear
But you, you were never here.
CHOURS
It's only your shadow,
Never yourself
It's only your shadow,
Nobody else
It's only your shadow,
Filling the room
Arriving too late
No, no, no
It's only your shadow
It's only your shadow
Nobody else
It's only your shadow
Arriving too late
And leaving too soon
Oooh.
It's only your shadow.

Shadows

Shadows, transparent grey,
ask me about themselves,
I only know that when they exist, I exist
I too am the shadow of my own self,

How many times I have tried!
to follow you,
You kept disappearing with each step,
and then at a certain step, a certain moment,
only you remained, my shadow!

Only then I realized, my shadow, my friend
that since the beginning
only you had existed

While, In vain, like a lost child
I kept following only shadows,

It was then,
that i realized that all my life
I have been following only shadows.

They took me to certain corners, certain dark places,
and deserted streets!

Until I found myself,
I was the discoverer of my self,
I discovered that I myself was a shadow
lost among the people.

Me And My Shadow

Sometimes, my shadow appears really short and small;
Whilst, at others, it stretches ahead of me, thin and tall.
Sometimes, my shadow is behind me; sometimes it’s in front.
Quite often, for my shadow, I find myself having to hunt.

Depending on how the street lamps shine their light,
My shadow may be hidden, or may be within my sight.
Sometimes, I have two shadows, plus me;
Then I appear in triplicate: one, two, three.

Sometimes, when I take my time, my shadow seems to rush;
My shadow dances round me, amid the dark night’s hush.
When I wander through an unlit patch, my shadow disappears;
Although I cannot see it for a moment, I know that it is still near.

As I emerge back into the light, I’m rejoined by my shadow.
My best buddy and I are very firmly attached, down at the toe.
My shadow is featureless; of me, it’s just a darkened outline.
During my night-time journey, it’s an ever changing design.

To my shadowy friend, I do feel really very attached.
We are two of a kind, and, I think, very well matched.
My shadow and I, travel everywhere together;
From each other, we will never ever be severed.

This Little Girl

Here she comes, walking down the street
You know shes walking just like shes walking to come and see
Oh shes so young
And shes so fine
I know whats on your mind, know what you want to do
But if you mess with her, Im gonna mess with you
You better watch your step, you better stay in line
This little girl is mine, oh oh
This little girl is mine, oh oh
This little girl is mine, this little girl, this little girl is mine
Oh oh this little girl is mine
This little girl is mine, oh oh
This little girl is mine, this little girl, this little girl is mine
Well if the world were mine to do with what I want to do, sir
Well Id wrap it up in a bow and giver it all to her
Yeah and all of my love, all of the time
You know Id hold her tight, Id never let her go
And late at night you know Id love her so
Yeah Id treat her right, so shed never mind
That
This little girl is mine, oh oh
This little girl is mine, oh oh
This little girl is mine, this little girl, this little girl is mine
Hey ! you better watch out
Im telling you the score
Or youre gonna be sweeping your broken heart up off the floor
Oh and that aint all
Im telling you my friend
I know whats on your mind, know what you wanna do
But if you mess with her, Im gonna mess with you
You like the way she moves, you like to watch her walk
You better listen up, cause man this aint just talk
You better watch your step, you better stay in line
This little girl is mine, oh oh
This little girl is mine, oh oh
This little girl is mine, this little girl, this little girl is mine
Oh oh this little girl is mine
This little girl is mine, oh oh
This little girl is mine, this little girl, this little girl is mine
This little girl is mine, oh oh

One and Only One!

I am in peace
At perfect peace with God;
O what a God and peace are!

A narrow dark tunnel I crossed;
To see that vast ocean ahead,
No shores not even
any bright shine,
shineth the self seamless
and endless,
Except the galaxies shine like light worms

This, this indeed is peace.
Is it, peace bestowed on me,
Or by my own effort I attained the peace?
By nature and by practice, peace was too far,
How very far I was from God;
Yet now by grace brought right to Him,
Through faith and mediation.

So beautiful, so very beautiful is God,
I was never nearer be;
For in the person of my own,
He was always with me,
I ran away from him,
Yet, he was with me like my shadow,
May be I ran and ran like shadow of my own,
I am as near as He.
He is as near as me,
So dear, so very dear to God I and all,
More dear I cannot be as you too are dear to him;
The love wherewith His love
now reflects in me and you too,

Such is His love to me and you,
just a touch made me melt and one with vacuum,
Flow into your heart as love divine,
And one with that bright light, all worlds are one,

Why should I ever anxious be,
Why should I be more a being,
Why should I be narrow and small,
When infinite was only one and vanished I in Him,

Since such a God is mine,
O is it true, is he mine or I am his?
I am his is more true
than he is mine,
who has to judge when we are one,

He watches me night and day,
Warns and guards
here and there and Everywhere,
Now I knew about this, he is always there,
And the fool and foolish,
I was never there

As this body and mind sent on a mission impossible,
Only his grace makes,
Even every thing possible,
You are the one my God,
You are the one before infinite zeros
Completing that look infinite,
yet when zero adds to one,
The one remains one and only Lord!

And tells me
'Mine is thine, Thine is mine.
And all that thou possess is mine and
Look you too were not only mine,
But also all are mine,
Pious and sinner alike,
Happy and pain alike,
Beauty and ugly all alike,
Drunken or mad lover all are mine!
You are my own shadow and shadow alone,
Shadow of puppet with I play on,
My own light plays the shadow,
The shadow of puppet on the screen
of my own mind!
Such is my God, only one always one,
One and only one!

And I Under The Moon

The jug and I under the moon
and my lips around the neck of the bottle of wine,
by the moon light is it full of the flowers dew,
I pour the scarcity of each dropp and it's association
against the bamboo and I watch to need the heron it's
crest off i see it go by as a dragons shadow independently.
Moving off, 'Therefore before the lifting of the glass,
I invite you because of our friendship,
revalations are made as to my shadow which then makes up
the moon myself and it's our three.
Is it not known my shadow follows each movement of my body
swaying as the leaves from which the rice it makes is simply.
Moon of moon shining down between shows us company
and my shadow because I am by you for wine maintained,
as to the spring flowing forth nothing is forever
and would be assisted wise are you adjusted too practice
each our lips the neck of the bottle of wine our pleasure.
As for me and as for you the moon I who am I have begun
babmboo in sleep before I go, the stand gently rising,
you dance and the shadow it moves strangely
and with you including swan song.
I' Between; Still you be looking up at the dark sky
moon smiling down and of which you are consciously, moving.
Afterwards, and you rejoice mutually; exclusively then thus do I
and Each one tried where it was, we laid down our heads
friend of moon, knew us drunk to go off searching for the shadow of your friend. Passion is less this night when travelling.
Under the moon and friends are friends, permits that fact, we are.

Shadow Man

Theres a man back a-ways
Who believes at where he is
And theres a girl
Up ahead who says she knows
And the street overflows
With the folk who understand
But for the guy who cant be seen
Hes the shadow man
And the shadow man is close at hand
Take a turn and see his smile
Made of nothing but loneliness
Just take a walk and be a friend
To the shadow man
You can call him joe, you can call him sam
You should call and see who answers
For he promises to come running, guided by the truth
But the shadow man is really you
Look in his eyes and see your reflection
Look to the stars and see his eyes
Hell show you tomorrow, hell show you the sorrows
Of what you did today
You can call him foe, you can call him friend
You should call and see who answers
For he knows your eyes are drawn to the road ahead
And the shadow man is waiting round the bend
Oh, the shadow man
Ohooooo oooo
Shadow man, shadow man
Its really you, its really you, its really you
Hes the shadow man
Oh yeah
Shadow man

Passion of fury

Embers of isolation,
Finally fading to charcoal,
And allowing the beast to approach.
Swift and silent,
She moves with the fluidity of a feline.
But her eyes glow with the passion,
Of all the fires of Hell.
Her face is mischevious,
As I know mine is.
Her smile is flirtatious,
As I know mine is.
And I see the fire in her heart.
And it unleashed the wild animal within me.
The kiss lasts forever.

Children Of Shadows

Children of bullying wake to a befallen doom
As they prepare for school
Not knowing what the day will behold

Everyone wants to be understood
Why must they be bullied?
You just don't know how it tarnishes their self esteem
It hurts so bad
Please stop!
Let me be
The pain is unbearable
So they see themselves as a shadow

Children of shadows don't want to be spit on
Children of shadows don't want to be laughed at
Children of shadows don't want to be humiliated
No one wants to be thrown in the trash

Children of shadows can overcome
Children of shadows can be loved
Children of shadows can be understood

Because we are not a shadow
But a fierce soul
