Vortigeese

What other minds reside inside my own?
Whose thoughts navigate my thought's direction?
What collaborates the introspection
That I perceive as mine and mine alone?
How many inspirations have been shown
To me and made me like a reflection
Mirroring the past with some dissection
Under the craft that I study to clone?
I realize that these are not my eyes,
But a borrowed pair of another's use—
Bestowed upon me for but a moment.
I look forward, learned on the past's surprise
And the future's angle: wide and obtuse.
Somewhere there, I find what could seem present.

We Live On Borrowed Time

WE LIVE ON BORROWED TIME
I never thought there could be a love like yours and mine
I never dreamed that I would see the day that I would find
A love that feels so right, but here we are tonight
And now the only thing we really need is time
We live on borrowed time
No one can be sure when the loan will finally come due
But I'm loving all of mine, I know what time is for,
I've borrowed it so I can spend it all right here with you
There was a time when I believed that life held guarantees
There was a time when I was sure my future was secure,
But life had other plans, the future's in God's hands
And knowing that just makes me love you even more
We live on borrowed time
Yesterday is past, tomorrow seems a million miles away
But I promise you that I'm gonna make love last
By living every moment, every hour, every day
Now we may have a year, or we may have a lifetime,
No one can be certain what the future will allow,
But you and I are here, and this time is the right time
'Cause one thing that I know is that we have each other now, and now,
And we live on borrowed time
Let's celebrate and sing as we walk bravely into the unknown
'Cause we're gonna be just fine, whatever life may bring,
We'll face it all together and we'll never be alone
We'll face it all together and we'll never be alone

Borrowed

borrowed shirts, borrowed shoes,
borrowed books, borrowed thoughts,
borrowed bed, borrowed lover,
borrowed dreams, borrowed salt.

borrowed children, borrowed mothers,
borrowed study, borrowed lives.
borrowed God, borrowed heaven,
borrowed killers with borrowed knives.

borrowed flags, borrowed lies,
borrowed virtue, borrowed freedom.
borrowed bombs, borrowed bullets,
borrowed puppets, borrowed kingdoms.

borrowed soup bowls, borrowed numbers,
borrowed tents, borrowed bridge.
borrowed hope, borrowed survival,
borrowed till it's sacrilige!

Dimension Merge

For us the past has gone and the present moves on
into the yesterday of a future’s present time.
Despite living in the future’s past this will not last,
present and future will very soon combine.

Future or dimension, to some a misapprehension,
but they are one in the same.
If there’s more than one, they will follow on
to leave one, with it’s present name.

On merging we’ll realise we’ve no future to recognise,
and the past and present is all we’ll know.
The past will still be renewed, with each day used,
but the future will mean only tomorrow.

Present

Bury the Past
Forget the Future
Think about the Present

Be alert and cautious in the present
Do not regret about the past
Or worry about the future

Past is gone
Future is unknown
Present is what you have today

So utilise it to the fullest extent
Its your life's biggest asset
That will fetch you great dividends

Realize that this is a gift given to you by God
That's why it is called as "PRESENT"

Until you heal the wounds of your past, You will continue to bleed into the future,

Until you heal the wounds of your past,

You will continue to bleed into the future,

One can own ones past, but you can heal,

Move on I was told, by a human heart, mine,

A statement I read,

'Until you heal the wounds of your past, you will continue to bleed into the future.'

Gave me the the words,

I now own my future,

My human heart told me, it is time,

I own my past,

Now the past is misplaced,

It will rear it's ugly head, from time to time,

But the future is mine to keep,

Beyond all past examples, the future is mine,

Not knowing the future is exciting,

But it's mine to dream.

A Time Machine Mind!

Human mind, dreams, vision and imagination
Can transport one forward and backward in time.

Mind is the time machine to go to past and future
But time never goes backward but only forward;
Also, time never goes in circle but only straight!

Recollection of past is possible in the present;
Visualization of future is possible in the present;
But one cannot go to the past or future ever now!

Hour glass can show the time like clock of today
But it cannot bring back the past to reality now
Or bring to our vision the future of world now!

Mind is the time machine that can read history;
Mind is the same machine to see the future too;
But time never goes to the past but only to future!

Be ever enthused to be in touch with future

Be ever enthused to be in touch with future

Future
Philosophers say
Is an illusion
For each second that is in the coming
Is uncertain
Hazy and a mirage

Past is lost
And it is spilt milk
Nothing can be done
With the past
Each previous second is as past
As the previous century

They suggest
For keeping up with the pace of time
It would be wise
Not to dream of the future
And not to lament on the past
Enjoy the present

It is easier said than done
We keep busy thinking
Either about the future
Or keep grumbling with the past
Memory and acquired experience
Will not allow us
To thoughtfully digest
Events occurring at the present

It is also not debatable
The quality of the present second
Depends on
The quality of the efforts
Made in the previous second

Where we are and
What we are
All because of our
Struggle or otherwise
In the past

Past experience and
Our present standing
Take us where we will be tomorrow

It will not be unwise
To a dream a future
Matching our skills
And the present position

We often dwell in a future
That is not achievable
With our present standing
And our capabilities

Unrealized future
Makes us feel sad

Be ever be in touch future
As the present second only
Manifests itself as a future
Know what you do
Know what you have as means
To take you into
The dreamt future

A colourful future is not an impossible realm
To be scaled
If you take seriously the means
To be there

Your present actions
Are executed only
To be sure that
You are
There in that wonder tomorrow

That dream keeps you
Motivated in going ahead
That dream keeps you
On the path of learning
That dream keeps you
Innovating new solutions
That dream keeps you
Enjoy what you do
That dream keeps you
Enthused in living
That dream keeps you
Looking for opportunities for improvement
Be in touch with dream ever
And

Be ever enthused to be in touch with future
Though philosophically non-existent
Which only helps you realize your potential

Because i still cry 4 past
I still smile because of u present
And i still need u future...
I took a step back yesterday..
And realized I'm still in my previous..
but present told me 2 let go
I said i couldn't
'It Once Made Me Smile'..
Future laughed
And said

Emergency Exit

I must be present now
before I can have a past;
I must be present now
to create a future then.

If I still my present mind
and exchange present thoughts
for nothing at all,
I have escaped past and future
and achieved a timeless peace
with no yesterday, no tomorrow.

I am
before

Conscience Speaks

Sun is bright in the sky,
The old man walks and sighs.
He walks up the lane, stops and looks for a shade
Stops and takes a cold breadth;
My heart shakes, emotions pour through the eyes:

Why is it so?
Stress should I put on heart or brain.
My body shivers, eyes add to the fuel.
He comes to know of my stress.
Future Past or Present is it;
Ambiguity throws a coat.

FUTURE- Negative capability is the answer
Future and past go hand in hand,
Sins of past drowising in my heart,
Bring the fear of Future.
PRESENT- What is now is because of past,
What will come, a product of present.
Present, past and future housed both in heart and brain.

Im Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman

Im not a girl, not yet a woman
I used to think
I had the answers to everything
Mm but now I know
That life doesnt always go my way. yeah
Feels like Im caught in the middle
Thats when I realize
Im not a girl
Not yet a woman
All I need is time
A moment that is mine
While Im in between
Im not a girl
There is no need to protect me
Its time that i
Learned to face up to this on my own
Ive seen so much more than you know now
So dont tell me to shut my eyes
Im not a girl
Not yet a woman
All I need is time
A moment that is mine
While Im in between
Im not a girl
But if you look at me closely
You will see it in my eyes
This girl will always find her way
Im not a girl
Im not a girl dont tell me what to believe
Not yet a woman
Im just tryin to find the woman in me, yeah
All I need is time
Whoa, all I need is time...
A moment that is mine
... thats mine
While Im in between
Im not a girl
Not yet a woman
Not now
All I need is time
A moment that is mine
While Im in between
Im not a girl
Ooooh, not yet a woman

Time and Experience

I found the past in my present
I built the future on my past
I found the gift of today
When I thought about what
The future has to offer
Where is the wisdom in experience
If there is no folly in wisdom
What's the real meaning of death
If our spirits live forever
Times never change
But circumstances do
I'll let mystery play with the future
Surprises couple with the present
And experience mourn the past
Because sun always rises from the east
And each day always comes to an end
Experience is not chained to wisdom
Nor is folly tied to bad results
But to the circumstances that burden
Our past, present and future because
Time is always anxious for the future
Experience loves the present
And wisdom never divorces the past

A glorious past

Past is always glorious
by that only you have become known or famous
that must remain on or continuous
the reason may be many or various

you can't go by the past
though it might have ended fast
the present may still be eluded
if past is not at all included

you love the present and think of future
the thing which is not there for sure
Think of the past with little from present
you won't feel future too absent

don't read much about anything
you will have to prove for everything
you can't trust the present trend
you may plan accordingly with some mends

My Shadow

Things I have left behind
Within an effort to move forward,
Counting every minute, every second-
Reliving my life through every hour, day and year-
The night time sky is falling before my own eyes
Blocking the pathway before me, blinding me-
I cannot foresee a future-The rain that fell every time
I tried to venture outward,
Rain that transformed to tears
When all hope had ostensibly disappeared.
Things I have left behind-
Places where I had been locked inside,
Having lost grounds with all that is real-
Perhaps a few roses in a cracked vase by my bedside,
A mother that did not care and a father that did not believe-
When through my own eyes my world had fallen to pieces.
I left behind many people-
People I did not trust and it was then that I knew
I had to rebuild my foundation,
To build a future for myself that would be mine and mine alone-
Things I have left behind are now
Gone and gone forever-all that is left is time-
Time to move on and to bury the past in my back yard and
Search for hope, a purpose and a new reality.
These things I have left behind are sinking into the ground-
Now I can foresee a future- the flame on my candle is burning
Guiding me as I run forward into a garden of blossoming trees and
A paved pathway upon which to run forward- and a cloudless sky
Where I can lift my wings, once broken and are healing, and fly-
Fly high above looking down below at my newfound veracity-
I know if I were to take a look behind-
All I could see would be a shadow upon a sidewalk-
A shadow of my past and everybody knows that shadows don't last forever, and
All else that I have left behind is gone forever,
Looking forward at the allure of the springtime and
I see clearly now- there is no more rain and as I look above me
I can see trees seemingly touching the sun against a deep blue sky-
I can see clearly now because my eyes are open wide and
There are no tears to cry today and when I glance behind me-
All I see is a shadow- that shadow of my past, vanishing in the late spring's breeze-

Past, Present, Future

i lived in the past for so long
that the present was always unknown.

now i always look ahead at all the possibilities
and there is so much, that i now see.

a shimmer of light at the end of the tunnel
and my thoughts being poured through a funnel.

the past is the past, and that's where it will stay
and in the present, we have to find a better way.
for the present will soon be our past
and if we don't do something, it will not last.

we must always look to the future
for it is only twenty four hours away
then it will be our past
and we have so much to do and say.

when i look at life, i truely have to laugh
today is our future and tomorrow it'll be our past.

now that i have you confused as to what i am
trying to say.
i guess i will try' to put it a better way'.

we all tend to procrastinate
always leaving it for tomorrow.
but! what if you don't see tomorrow.
and today you did'nt accomplish that task
how will you be remembered
if the present you left for last.

when we leave this material world
and our souls soar up in the sky
we will still have our memories
and that we can rely.

for when we get up there(if we do)
your soul will have carried all that you did
in this life
and the memories of friends, family
husband, or wife.

now when you look down on all that you had did
and asking yourself the question.
did i use my time, the way it was
meant to be?
or did i procrastinate, that others now speak of me?

we all have to work in order to survive.
but we must stop on occasion to smell the flowers.
and to enjoy all that we was given
otherwise how can you call this living.

(my thoughts: the words and stories were given to me.
so that i could write them down, for al the world to see.)
this is my philosophy.

This Land Is Mine

From behind these walls I hear your song
Oh sweet words
The music that you play lights up my world
The sweetest that I've heard
Could it be that I've been touched and turned?
Oh love, please finally, finally things are changing
This land is mine
But I let you rule
I let you navigate and demand
Just as long as you know
This land is mine
So find your home and settle in
Oh I'm ready to let you in
Just as long as we know
This land is mine
After all the battles and the wars
The scars and loss
Well I'm still the queen of my domain
And feeling stronger now
The walls are down a little more each day
Since you came finally, finally things are changing
This land is mine
But I let you rule
I let you navigate and demand
Just as long as you know
This land is mine
So find your home and settle in
Oh I'm ready to let you in
Just as long as we know
This land is mine
Follow the days I've travelled alone
In this cold and colorless place till now
It's what I had to pay
This land is mine
But I let you rule
I let you navigate and demand
Just as long as you know
This land is mine
So find your home and settle in
Oh I'm ready to let you in
Just as long as we know
This land is mine
This land is mine but I let you rule
I let you navigate and demand
Just as long as you know this land is mine

Thanksmisgivings

THANKSMISGIVINGS
Edward Iacona

There's a little tradition on Thanksgiving
In which the family and each guest
Takes a turn before the dinner
To tell how their lives are blessed.

Each person speaks of gratitude
Within their minds reflection
As she listens and waits what does she think
In her personal introspection.

Does she give thought to her family
Once united, happy and strong.
Or a single thought to her husband
And how she did them wrong.

Details here are unimportant,
As our hurt remains inside.
Does she have any accountability
To consider how she lied.

If there's a mental inquisition
If recent past comes to her minds door...
My question ends with a preposition
What could she be thankful for?

A Photo from the Past

“A photo from the past’
I dreamt of returning home
Where for long time ago
I made a small house
Of green grass and broken woods.
I dreamt of returning to my childhood.
When there were no responsibilities
No worries, no fears of failure probabilities.
I dreamt of returning to my childhood,
When there were no extra loads.
Actually I returned
through a smiling child photo
through a moment from the past I borrowed.
The child ran far away
With her small hands she waves goodbye
She refused for only one moment to stay
Neither my world is hers nor the day.
I am not blaming her
As she is back to her time
And I am still in mine
So none of us can live in the other’s time.
And I wake up from my dream
On the smiling child in the photo
On the moment that for transient moment
I borrowed.

Constant Time

Time past and the future give way to this present picture,
But can somebody tell me how to recognize that gate that leads to the bed of roses,
We speak about the future like the past is a grain of sand on the shore,
Washed away by the ocean tide,
Giving way to new grains to make a portrait of the present,
These past memories stay deep in our heart like the depths of the ocean,
Though it gets washed back to shore ones in a blue moon,
Reminding us that our past is a standard measurement of our strength,

Time moves so fast making the past to fade away,
this makes us seem so secured about the present,
Forgetting the fact that our present becomes our past that was once a present from nature as a new day,
Some take the future to be a dream and a wish,
But I take my future to be what I see when I stand from the bottom of the mountain to look at the top,
And my past to be the depth of the ocean that can always be washed ashore …
The only thing I can control is my present,
Yes cos my mind controls my hands to give you a flash of what goes on in my head
Like this words i write to you was once my future and will become my past, making my future my past and my past my future..So ironical isn’t it?

Standing here I sure know 1 thing,
I will reach the top by that foot path,
Yes of course it’s not to mean that I wouldn’t fall,
But I have to break myself off my present past and walk with grace to stand where I belong,
There where I am the king of my destiny,
The past is just going to be a page of memories,
And my future will become my present making time constant in my head,
Because I stand on my past which was once my present and my present which was once my future, making time equal and constant
As I flip thru this page of life,
