The Kinsmen

The face of our kinship
So beautiful and rare
Will stand forever
Gifted of heaven
No earthly care.

Between time and tranquility
A quest for sensibility.
The search for friends a hunger serves
But most, alas, get on my nerves.

Alone in life
What mortal curse
Could scarce be breached
By something worse.
Companions?
One behind each tree...
Is it I, alone, who thinks like me?

My kindred with a wit so free
A heart so pure and true
You conjure up the best in me
I hope the same for you.

Yes I Believe

The spirit of Christmas is the spirit of love
Still there when the innocence has gone
But we have each other we laugh and we cry
The cares of the world still carry on
Yes I believe in a better world
And like the rest of us I pray
For peace on this earth and a better life
With every beautiful day
I once met a holy man who showed me the way
The road to tranquility at last
The more he was listening, the more he would say
With the tales of the days of future passed
He said "Yes I believe in a better world
And like the rest of us I try
To hold on to hope for a better life
With every day that goes by"
And if we dare to dream of Paradise unseen
It might come true
And if you stand by me
I swear with all my heart
I'll stand by you
Yes, I believe in a better world
A world where my sisters can be free
And I have a place in my brother's heart
For everybody to see
I dream of my destiny, my days in the sun
To live in the garden of our love
I search for some happiness
I search for my soul
I pray for some strength from God above
Yes, I believe in a better world
And like the rest of us, I pray
For peace on this earth and a better life
With every beautiful day
With every beautiful day.

Broken Chains

The light of love, found a place
On the brook, flowers, and trees
Now it burns inside my heart
The hope of things, I now can be

The light of love abides within
My heart now tender and mild
Like flowers that bloom, it grows
My eyes, and face now can smile

Today no more unseen purposes
By love's rare light, I feel
My friends, family, it's my pure heart
To you, thanks, I've been healed

Today I stand, strong, noble, and free
Because of your love
My heart is now like, that strong great oak tree
Because of you, the past is gone, I'm free
I'm free
The chains of abuse, are broken, I'm finally free

There is no face as fair

There is no face as fair
and dear to me
as yours
and no light shines as bright
and pure
as the look in your eyes.

If anything endures
it’s your heart that is true
and pure
and strike me with sincerity.

You alone satisfy the hunger
of my soul
and come as the drug
that brings sense and sensibility
when I want to brake free
from the things surrounding me.

Even if the world is sick
and malignant with horror,
pain, unfairness, cruelty
and hardship,
you still remain
the light in my life
and the one
that brings clarity
to the abyss around me
because you love unselfishly.

What’s Up Yonder?

Friend did you ever truly ponder, the sky above and what’s up yonder?
Does your mind ever pierce the sky, to what’s up there and even why?
To a place you have never been, the place many call the third heaven.
A holy place where God resides, that’s well above the temporal skies.
High above these earthly clouds, are multitudes of Heavenly Crowds,
The many saints who went before, now in the presence of The Lord.

It’s a special place we are told, one that’s paved with streets of gold.
In this place flows a Crystal Sea, from under The Throne of Eternity.
And there will be a River of Life, that flows from the Throne of Christ.
On each side is a Tree of Life, for healing the nations of their strife.
There will be no more night, for The Lord God will give all men light.
Heaven’s Light will be His Son; He’s The Eternal Light for everyone.

But, is this place truly there, and why would a Holy God even care?
To extend to mere mortal men, a place for us, to live forever friend.
Heaven is a place that’s pure, and will remain that way forevermore.
A place that’s free of sin and strife, where all men live a blissful Life.
There we’ll have an eternal home, beside God’s Everlasting Throne.
On that Throne, above the sea, where Christ shall reign for Eternity.

Have you ever pondered friend, just where in eternity you will spend?
For Heaven is a place for sure; a place you get to through The Lord.
The curse of earth shall be gone, and replaced with an Eternal Song.
Eternal Praises to Christ our Lord, who upon a wicked cross endured,
A wicked death for both you and me, so that we could live for eternity.
It was His life Christ chose to give, so in Heaven forever we could live.

Solitude

There is in stillness oft a magic power
To calm the breast, when struggling passions lower;
Touch'd by its influence, in the soul arise
Diviner feelings, kindred with the skies.
By this the Arab's kindling thoughts expand,
When circling skies inclose the desert sand;
For this the hermit seeks the thickest grove,
To catch th' inspiring glow of heavenly love.
It is not solely in the freedom given
To purify and fix the heart on heaven;
There is a Spirit singing aye in air,
That lifts us high above all mortal care.
No mortal measure swells that mystic sound,
No mortal minstrel breathes such tones around,—
The Angels' hymn,—the sovereign harmony
That guides the rolling orbs along the sky,—
And hence perchance the tales of saints who view'd
And heard Angelic choirs in solitude.
By most unheard,—because the earthly din
Of toil or mirth has charms their ears to win.
Alas for man! he knows not of the bliss,
The heaven that brightens such a life as this.

Psychology

How does it work?
When you're friendly and smile
He thinks you're the one
Psychology!
How does it work?
You say no
He thinks you mean yes
You say friends only
He wants your heart
You say friends forever
He wants a lifetime together
Think about it!
why can't he comprehend?
Humble, hard working
You're leading a simple life
Simplicity pinch his nerves

He has fallen in love
With the idea
Of you in his life
I wish I knew
How does psychology work?

The Quest

Part i:

Three men set out for their worldly quest
One for gold, another for a pleasure nest
The third for what he could not tell
But trusted his heart to lead him well.

'I shall have every silver and every gold'
The first boasted so bold
'All pleasure everywhere is mine'
The second yelled, 'with plenty wine and dine'

To the third they asked, 'what will yours be'
'Well for all i ask and seek, ' said he
'Let the sun guide me by day, by night the moon
To my quest, my heart shall lead me there soon'

Part ii

And there before the rising sun
Set all three with hope to return
Through North, south, from east to west
In search of their worldly quest

Part iii

The first found silver and gold of every kind
Much more he hoped to find
Some so big, some sparkling small
O! How much he loved them all

The second found his pleasure land
With plenty merry go hand
So much to eat, and much to drink
Till his cheeks grew fat and pink

Part iv

The third, from valley low, to mountain top
And yet he did not stop
For deep inside love bade him come
Of your quest, you'd find the sum

Alas! So weary from his worldy quest
Sat he down quietly to rest
Soon he was gently fast asleep
As he snored so free and deep

He dreamt he stood before a court so heavily thronged
And he in kingly robe adorned
By his side stood a beautiful queen
That eye had ever seen

He woke up and lo! he saw before him
That castle in his dream
So marvelous still, was that royal face
In so splendid a place

Part v

Soon news went round as time unfold
Of those who sought for pleasure and gold
O! Such a terrible tale to hear
What strife they had to bear

For the first had gone to sail at sea
Aboard 'Her Golden Majesty'
'For all under heaven' boasted he
'There is none as rich as me'

Then came a gathering gloom
Of tempest christiened doom
It pressed them low and tossed them high
They screamed- 'we are all going to die'

'Ho! For every life and property aboard
One' said the capt, 'must go overboard
Choose now, your judgement me be fair
We have no time to spare'

A murmur here, a murmur there
But then it was quite clear
For all on board, silver and gold,
A life is worth more to behold

And so over and over went his silver and gold
Till none was left to hold
Thus he lost his worldly gain
His life now filled with vain

For the one who sought for pleasure
Had more than words could measure
Food, drink and women of every name
For fun he grew to fame

Soon one after one, as darkness befall
Till none was left at all
And so alone left he to fend
O! What a traggic end

For all he had were friends for fun
But now they were all gone
He knew not where to go or what to do
What will you, if it were you?

Part vi

Back to the one who sought for love
Had more that mortal quest could prove
A beautiful queen, and a royal gown
Sweet end and a golden crown

'Welcome my lord, come thee to me
I have by the gate waited thee
Its time to take thy rightful place
The world awaits thy face'

'I am not worthy of such glory and gold' he cried
Hush! Love knows best and never ask' she said
Then hand in hand she led him on
'Of all life's quest, the best you have won! '

'For begger is he who seek only riches and all it brings
But to find love the dream of kings! !

Sonnet-Be Wise

Our earthly-life is just a passing phase;
The luckiest thing is being born human;
Just transient are the problems that we face;
Lets live our best and do service yeoman.

Yet, pass we all this way just only once;
What luck to be one's kith and kin, kindred!
Our soul could shine then like a hundred Suns,
But only after we are earthly dead.

In this short time, what anxiety we face;
There isn't the time to ask about others;
We find our worldly-life is like a maze,
Where frustrations, our heart and mind smothers.

The worldly-man stays forever but vexed;
The soul-wise man is ready for God's Test.

The hunger

the hunger thinks the rice
can chew both skin and bone
the hunger thinks it's nice
to eat although forlorn

the hunger thinks the corn
can swallow ears and eyes
deaf blind hunger born
self eaten within it dies

the hunger thinks the food
is just a body's unfair breath
the hunger knows the interlude
no food the body eats itself

the hunger thinks the body rotten
is just a place to survive and eat
the hunger of the lost and forgotten
makes its way to the last heart beat

Life's Search For Love

From cradle to grave we are on one quest,
Until the search is over we'll have no rest,
You find pictures of couples in an embrace,
I ask, What is the reason, What's the case?
We may see frequent hugging and kissing,
Within this affection something is missing,
In an effort to solve this enigmatic mystery,
I considered matter pertinent to it in history,
Diligently I searched, Everywhere I did look,
Under the subject of love found a good book,
With a teaching about love; ancient not new.
Do unto others as you would them do to you;
The Creator gifted the world His true Love;
For all sin to die; sent from Heaven above;
A life lived wholly pure and without any sin.
Caring for strangers like they were truly kin;
Someone laying down his life; for another die,
Could this be love? Truth or just another lie?
Shouldn't we do something his life to replace;
Following his love; Living our life in his place.

Beautiful to me...

Lips of silk and eye's of cream,
You are the vision in my dream.
I curse the days when we're apart,
They're long and heavy upon my heart...

For you're so beautiful to me, oh so very beautiful to me...

The sunlight shining from your hair,
When you're around I'm free of care.
You make me feel like the first day of spring,
When your in my arms my heart does sing...

For you're so beautiful to me, oh so very beautiful to me...

Staring into your eyes I'm carried away,
On the wings of love to a brighter day.
Will you meet me there to be together?
Oh please say yes... So we can have forever...

For you're so beautiful to me, oh so very beautiful to me...

Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Evening Thoughts

How beautiful
The calm earth resteth in her quiet sleep!
There are no sounds of human life abroad,
And the soft voice of that one bird, whose plaint
Melteth upon the ear so soothingly,
Seems but the low breeze moulded into sound.
The shadows of the trees distinctly lie
Upon the earth unstirring, and no breath
Comes whispering among the tender leaves,
To wake them into playfulness.

The sky
Bendeth in loveliness above the earth,
With a few clouds drawn o'er it, beautiful
In the soft light, and exquisitely pure,
As if they knew no other home than heaven.
Oh, thus it is, God of the universe!
That thou wouldst sanctify with thy rich grace,
Our erring human hearts, that we might be,
When from the earth our day of life hath pass'd,
Dwellers in that bright world where all are pure—
A world where sorrow cometh not, nor sin,
Nor the down-stooping ‘neath the oppressor's hand.
Alas! that earthly things should be so fair,
And day by day harmoniously move on
In their allotted course, at thy command,
Dutiful and unwavering from their track,
And man, man only, who alone may know
How beautiful thy ordinances are,
Mock at thy holy will, and mar his soul
With the dark stains of sin. Alas! that man,
With thy pure law unveil'd before his eyes,
Should bind the fetter on his brother's form,
And smite him with the scourge, and bid him pour
His strength out on the earth, for no reward;
And worse than this, wrench from his bleeding heart
The dearest objects of his earthly love;
And all that the oppressor's hoards may flow
With Mammon's worthless treasures; meagre dust,
Beside the priceless treasure of a soul!
Shall it be ever thus? Most Merciful!
Will man's hard heart be never touch'd with all
The o'erflowings of thy love, and yield itself
To gentle sympathies, till he shall learn
The noble joy of pouring happiness
Upon the heart of sorrow, and how sweet
The pleasure is of shedding bliss abroad.

The Loss Of A Child

Dear God we ask,
Take care of our little child,
Someone who means so much to us,
So beautiful, so gentle, so mild.

A battle fought when tiny,
To stay upon this earth,
A child that was very weak,
From the moment of the birth.

Our prayers were sent for healing,
We gave thanks every day,
For the time the child was amongst us,
But alas, still was taken away.

You have taken the one we worshipped,
To your home in heaven above,
I am sure you had your reasons,
For taking someone we love.

My child I know you are hurting,
You feel life is not the same,
You have nothing to reproach yourself,
You were not to blame.

God took back to heaven,
A rare and beautiful flower,
He has planted it in his garden,
Will surround it with all his power.

The spirit of your child,
In heaven will develop and grow,
To be surrounded by those good people,
Will be surrounded by those you know

Although you have lost the material,
The spirit will be strong and true,
The good times you remember,
Your child will be close to you.

Eternity With Me

The Next time we meet
Will be in heaven
I'll be waiting under a tree
The tree we carved our initials in
When we were both young and free
I hope you remember what it look like
For heaven goes on forever you see
That's where I'll be standing
If you want to spend eternity
With me

Love Is Hope

If we lose someone close to us,
We feel a sting in our Loving Heart
They are love
They Are Tender
They are Care
Love is hope

Love is Family
Love is Friends
Love is Heaven
Love Is Desire
Love is Hope

Love in Death is impossible,
Love in life is sweet
losing those you love is saddening
Resulting a hole in that heart

Forever, life and Death
Love is always there
Family, Live or dead
still love you
From Beyond the netherworld.
Love is hope

In My Opinion
Love Is Dear
Love is true
love is there
But most importantly
LOVE Is Hope

everywhere, Even The Lord
God Loves you
His love eternal everlasting
His Love, his Son
Love is hope.

Anniversary (For Jim)

Before any sweet voice ever sounded
Or soft caresses ever sought to reach
When the Sun was only a cruel flame
Wandering the sky’s deserted beach

When Love was but a killing thirst
Unquenched even by boldest dream
And Hope, immutable aching hunger
Threading through life’s every seam

When time was but a taunting curse
And calendars marked only pain
When heartbeats served no purpose
But pulse longing through each vein

When night hid every wishing star
And no breeze dared stir any tree
When no birds sang, or laughter rang
What rare miracle led you to me?

It matters not, for what had been
Dissolved forever on that day
My heart records life first began
When you brought love my way

The Unhappy One

“HE is false to the heart!' she said, stern-lipped; 'he is all untruth;
He promises fair as a tree in blossom, and then
The fruit is rotten ere ripe. Tears, prayers and youth,
All withered and wasted! and still—I love this falsest of men!'

Comfort? There is no comfort when the soul sees pain like a sun:
It is better to stare at the blinding truth: if it blind, one woe is done.
We cling to a coward hope, when hope has the seed of the pain:
If we tear out the roots of the grief, it will never torment again.
Ay, even if part of our life is lost, and the deep-laid nerves
That carry all joy to the heart are wounded or killed by the knife;
When a gangrene sinks to the bone, it is only half-death that serves;
And a life with a cureless pain is only half a life.

But why unhealed must the spirit endure? There are drugs for the body's dole;
Have we wholly lived for the lower life? Is there never a balm for the soul?
O Night, cry out for the healer of woe, for the priest-physician cry,
With the pouring oil for the bleeding grief, for the life that may not die!
'He is false to the heart!' she moaned; 'and I love him and cannot hate!'
Then bitterly, fiercely —'What have I done, my God, for such a fate?'

'Poor heart!' said the Teacher; 'for thee and thy sorrow the daily parables speak.
Thy grief, that is dark, illumes for me a sign that was dim and weak.
In the heart of my garden I planted a tree —I had chosen the noblest shoot:
It was sheltered and tended, and hope reached out for the future's precious fruit.
The years of its youth flew past, and I looked on a spreading tree
All gloried with maiden blossoms, that smiled their promise to me.
I lingered to gaze on their color and shape—I knew I had chosen well;
And I smiled at the death that was promise of life as the beautiful petals fell.
But the joy was chilled, though the lip laughed on, by the withered proof to the eye:
The blossoms had shielded no tender bud, but cradled a barren lie.
Before me it lay, the mystery—the asking, the promise, the stone;
The tree that should give good fruit was bare—the cause unseen, unknown!

'But I said: ' Next year it shall bourgeon, my part shall be faithfully done;
My love shall be doubled—I trust my tree for its beautiful strength alone.'
But tenderness failed, and loving care, and the chalice of faith was dried
When the next spring blossoms had spoken their promise smiled at the sun and lied;
The heart of the petals was withered to dust. Then, for duty, I trusted again;
For who should stand if God were to frown on the twice-told failures of men?
Unloving I tended, with care increased, but never a song or smile;
For duty is love that is dead but is kept from the grave for a while.

The third year came, with the sweet young leaves, and I could not fear or doubt;
But the petals smiled at the sun and lied,—and the curse in my blood leaped out!
'This corpse,' I cried, 'that has cumbered the earth, let it hence to the waste be torn!'
That moment of wrath beheld its death—while to me was a life-truth born:
The straight young trunk at my feet lay prone; and I bent to scan the core,
And there read the pitiful secret the noble sapling bore.
Through the heart of the pith, in its softest youth, it had bored its secret way,
A gnawing worm, a hideous grief,—and the life it had tortured lay
Accursed and lost for the cruel devil that nestled its breast within.
Ah, me, poor heart! had I known in time, I had cut out the clinging sin,
And saved the life that was all as good and as noble as it seemed!'

He ceased, and she rose, the unresigned, as one who had slept and dreamed;
Her face was radiant with insight: 'It is true! it is true!' she said;
'And my love shall not die, like your beautiful tree, till the hidden pain is dead!'

Dreaming

the alarm rings, the rooster crows
I wake up dreaming of you
yeah, this is how my day goes
in a locker deep inside of me
the silence screams out to be set free
only to be captured once again by you
this time lightning will strike twice
yep last night I was
dreaming of you

when I'm in my dreams
you are the one I see
in my dreams we are together
in my dreams were together and no one cares
in my dreams I'm in your arms where I can softly feel your heart beat
in my dreams you kiss me ever so softly and tell me that you love me
in my dreams there you are loving me
there I am so deeply in thought
there I am loving you with all I've got

in your dreams of me
can you see the starvation in my telling eyes
to be with you
when were finally together
my thirst for love will be quenched
in your sweet love I'll be drenched
my hunger for love will be satisfied

I am deeply in love and mesmerize
deeply in love with you
I love you with a love I never knew possible
a love as strong as titanium steal
now that you are here my search is over
I finally found my four leaf clover
one that loves me for me
and fits me like a warn in hat fits my head

I solemnly swear
my heart for you is, and I'll always be
true, pure, and compatibly right for your's
we beat no longer as two but as one
as I fall harder for you my heart becomes intertwined with yours
life with you together is what I wanted most of all
life with the other part of me is what I strive for
to be in your arms would be amazing
even for just one moment to be
with you I can be me, and you don't try to change me.
for we are the same

for years I have been dreaming
of a world of my design.
with a great man like you to stand by my side

I want to fly away with you, just me and you
I'll be yours for all of time
I love you with all my heart,
and for a hundred more years,
I hope we don't part,
and when we die, I'll meet you in the after life,
and we'll be together,
for eternity times seven

there's only one man I will ever love,
he lives in my dreams.
he calls my name and loves me with all his heart.
I live for my dreams and hope that one day they come true,
until then its lights out so
I can spend one more night with you
