Time Is A Feline
Feline,
A carnivore
Is red fanged tiger time.
Sated beast, feasting on my years,
My age.

Tiger
Tiger with coat of dissimilar stripes,
When he’s angry, tiger swipes,
Tiger cautious, guarding his lair,
Danger lurking, tiger aware.
Tiger hungry so he hunts,
Facing quarry, tiger confronts.
Tiger waiting, being sly,
Undercover, no tiger espy.
Tiger detects, now he purrs,
Hunger pangs, tiger stirs.
Tiger quick, must now surprise,
Here we have one tiger, wise.
Tiger from his throat he roars,
Stretching out those tiger claws.
Tiger moving, stealthy pelt,
Expiration, by tiger dealt.
Tiger now with belly filled,
Anger passed, one tiger stilled.
Tiger sleeping, with the Pride,
Craving gone, tiger satisfied.
Tiger such a majestic sight,
Near extinction, tiger fight.
Tiger beautiful and fine,
You’re such a leonine feline.
Tiger we must have respect, ,
For your great tiger intellect.

Carnivore
So much space can fit in a side
More than words can say
Im left here with my hands all awkward
Trying to mend space
I used to know you
But not anymore
Your substance has been subtracted
Word by word
Silence in my ears
Where once you offered your conviction
Your promises are dried beats
Theyre cracked with nostalgia
But thats all right
Thats okay
Had no business
Giving myself to you anyway
Be careful next time for sure
And ill
Ill never trust my pink fleshy heart
Ill never trust my pink fleshy heart
To a carnivore
Carnivore
Your soul is an ink stain
Your perfection is amend
Youre as fragile as your thoughtlessness
As strong as you can bend
You could only believe in embryos
Held all your high hopes through a telescope
Lavender haunted you
So I could own your life in yellow
You have a fire down in genius, subtlety
And you slip through the fingers of ambiguity
Well, thats all right
Thats okay
Had no business
Giving myself to you anyway
Be careful next time for sure
And ill
Ill never trust my pink fleshy heart
Ill never trust my pink fleshy heart
To a carnivore
Well I didnt know
But I wont do it again
This time Ill be my own best friend
And Ill take back my song and my poetry
This time I wont be so easy to read
And Ill never trust my pink fleshy heart
And Ill never trust my pink fleshy heart
And Ill never trust my pink fleshy heart
To a carnivore
To a carnivore
To a carnivore

Tiger, Tiger
Tiger one to tiger two
Tiger one says I love you
Tiger two does not reply
So tiger one, he starts to cry
Tiger two says why you cry?
Tiger one says 'you did not reply'
Tiger two says I need not to
Tiger one says why?
Tiger two says i love you
Tiger one says i love you too
Tiger one says why oh why?
Why didnt you reply?
Tiger two says I love you
I don't have to say it
You know its true
Now you know the reason why
Tiger two did not reply
Tiger one realises why
Tiger two did not reply
So tiger one he starts to smile
And says tiger two is very fine
For tiger two is my dearest babe
Whome I think of everyday
And tiger two I cannot wait
To see your pretty face again
Not Here to Beat the Beast
I am not here to beat the beast.
Nor did I come,
To sneak a sniff of its presence.
Not to cower kneeling in defeat.
To please rumors of a haunting...
Suffered without investigation.
That beast has been feasting,
Long before I arrived.
And I'm sure...
If it knows you are here in fear,
It will not suspect
I have desires to follow in its footsteps!
Wherever it has been claimed to be.
But I am curious,
Why you have allowed it to eat
From your peace that decreases.
While you complain...
Little of your gains are left!
As you struggle over what remains.
Who and why...
Decided for you,
That should be a position to maintain?
I came to ask the beast to leave.
Not to agree or negotiate my presence.
Like that beast...
I too have needs!
And I will not sit in hiding,
To decide which needs of mine...
The beast can take,
Because I sit in indecision!
To inflict my own heartaches.
Oh no!
I am not here to beat or feed any beast!
But I will make an appearance made known.
And tell that beast to leave my ass alone!
I am not going to endure any conflict,
Over that which I know belongs to me!
That beast needs to see,
I am not afraid!
Where is it?
And who has said the beast existed?

Teddy Bear, Cats, Dogs, Tigers
Teddy bear makes you happy.
You can sleep with teddy bear.
A teddy bear is soft
And cuddly and nice and
Furry and you need him when
Your sad then you can hug him.
I want a tiger
I wish I had a tiger
Oh look a tiger
Dogs our very cute
My puppy has a big headDogs are not friends with cats
Furry feline role
They love to play with balls of string
My cat likes to play.

Tiger Stare
Intimidation is the game, as any tiger knows.
Infuriation is the aim, before it comes to blows.
The tiger stare, with ears erect, the lowered jaw in tune,
The teeth to bear, for bold effect! All say, 'I'll fight you soon! '
If not, the tiger stare is used to focus on the prey...
Before all energy's enfused and it gets clean away...
Or else a future mate is seen, with him truly smitten...
Wide-eyed, the alpha male is keen to meet the little kitten...
If not, some new scent's in the air... his basic instincts rise.
He breathes in deep... his nostrils flare... as danger he defies.
He bides his time before he acts, while time is on his side,
But come the time he finds the facts, no conscience comes to guide.
Sometimes a tiger stands alone! It's him against the rest!
Gone are the brothers he has known, now he must do his best!
No more the tiger cub of old, no more the little one...
He's seen the seasons which unfold beneath the golden sun!
The tiger stare is what he does... portraying who he is...
Who knows what it will mean for us? A quick death or a kiss?
And yet we stare, breathtaken, too, till fear has been increased...
At just how big this big cat grew.... at beauty and the beast...
The poem is based on the magnificent painting
by Stephen Gayford called 'Tiger Stare'.

Carnivore
Youve told me maybe a thousand times
A smart girl wouldve recognized
There isnt any business in the street
But some nights, daddy
I catch you wrapped up tight like a sleeping bag
Youre softly twisting a pinata suspended out of reach
But I know with one good slap
I could take care of that
But who wants to loose the beast of spring?
I guess it started off slow
But its picking up speed
And its gaining on me
Like a carnivore
Daylight catches me by surprise
Almost every night
And kicks my way another hole to sleep
I guess it started off slow
But its picking up speed
And its gaining on me
Like a carnivore

Handsome Beast
The tiger stood his ground one day,
Like posers often do,
To let the others have their say,
Express their point of view...
To stare at him, with jealousy,
Each time his fame increased,
While tigresses looked longingly,
'He's such a handsome beast! '
The tiger stayed still, like a king,
As if the world were his,
While all the rest were wondering
What magic spell is this?
As if they watched him mesmerised,
Fixated and so pleased,
While tigresses all realised,
'He's such a handsome beast! '
Of course, the magic couldn't last,
That's life, we all move on...
Endangered species leave so fast,
They're here... and then they're gone...
For now, he's truly in his prime!
The foremost not the least...
While tigresses think he's sublime,
'He's such a handsome beast! '

Taming The Tiger
I stepped outside to breathe the air
And stare up at the stars
Big dipper hanging there
Over the rented car
Over the rented car
Im a runaway from the record biz
From the hoods in the hood and the whiny white kids
Boring!
The old man is snoring
And Im taming the tiger
(you cant tame the tiger)
Tiger, tiger burning bright
Nice, kitty kitty
Tiger, tiger burning bright
Sophia says its hard to catch
And harder still to ride
The time to watch the beast the best
Is when its purring at your side
Purring at your side
Accolades and honors
One false move and youre a goner
Boring!
The old man is snoring
And Im taming the tiger
(you cant tame the tiger)
Tiger, tiger burning bright
Nice, kitty kitty
Tiger, tiger burning bright
In the forest of the night
The moon shed light
On my hopeless plight
As the radio blared so bland
Every disc, a poker chip
Every song just a one night stand
Formula music, girly guile
Genuine junkfood for juveniles
Up and down the dial
Mercenary style
I watched the stars chuck down their spears
And a plane went blinking by
And I thought of anna
Wild and dear
Like fireworks in the sky
Fireworks in the sky
Im so sick of this game
Its hip, its hot
Lifes too short, the whole things gotten
Boring!
The old man is snoring
And Im taming the tiger
(you cant tame the tiger)
Tiger, tiger burning bright
Nice, kitty kitty
(boring!)
Tiger, tiger burning bright
(you cant tame the tiger)
Oh, be nice, kitty kitty
(boring!)
Tiger, tiger burning bright
Nice, kitty kitty
(boring, boring!)
Tiger, tiger burning bright
(fight to the light, fight to the light)
In the forest of the night

The Most Dangerous Beast!
The beast has the fangs of a Werewolf
The claws of a tiger.
It never rests, day or night
Once it scents it prey
There is no escape;
It is impossible to be distracted or deceived.
It has insatiable appetite,
Which cannot be satisfied
With a lunch or dinner.
Always on the hunt,
Prowling like a tiger,
Squeezes like the anaconda,
But thinks like a man.
It can survive in any terrain or climate,
The harsher, the more successful it is.
Its natural habitants are the slums
Of Calcutta, Bombay,
Slums of many third world countries.
Many countries developed nations
Think they have eradicated this beast
But it prowls again
Once condition for its natural habitant
Occurs, even temporarily.
The terrifying beast is
Hunger!

The tiger that has once tasted blood is never sated with the taste of it.
The Royal tiger of India
Stressful chattering of birds,
monkeys jumping from one branch to another.,
fluttering wings of birds,
running around of animals,
a sudden unrest in the jungle,
the news spread like forest fire,
there comes the majestic
yellow and black striped beast,
walked slowly on the dried leaves,
the best catwalk if one could luckily see,
the bold and the beautiful,
its the tiger on the scene,
the Royal tiger of India indeed,
unruffeld by noise around.,
unquestionable the king of jungle,
the wildest cat on earth,
unsocial solitary beast,
make every soul to fear for life,
be it a bird, animal, man or a beast.

Eternal race is on
Bewildered night moves fast
Blinded he can't see morn
Time is wheeling best on
Night to meet the sun's cast
Grey streaks show slits of sky
Night now hears coos of birds
Smells scents of blossoms nigh
Tinged by dawning pink high
Magic twilight just herds

Life Is A Tiger
Life is a tiger a terrible beast....
a terrible beast who will
eat you up
He does not know CHANEL
perfume number five
from.....cow dung number 23,
nor a Paris gown
from a breech cloth
At least he loves us all the same,
mangles with no malice,
no elite are dressed
for his jaws, blood and flesh
have the same sweet taste.....
he gnaws as savagely
on my arm as yours,
eats both hearts
with the same gusto.
Turn up the music and make the
red lips redder.... we shall walk
down Broadway with
the tiger at our heels.

Tiger Pursuit
To some, the tiger looks so cute,
With so much feline charm...
But when the tiger's in pursuit,
Who knows who'll come to harm?
Although the tiger's face looks sweet,
It hides sharp teeth that bite!
He's not a cat to meet and greet
Or bravely choose to fight!
It's true, the tiger loves his friends
And welcomes them with glee...
And yet, that's where all friendship ends -
So I'd prefer to flee!
I'd soon be off, if he were close!
Too close for comfort's sake!
I'd soon be standing on my toes -
I'd run, make no mistake!
Perhaps the tiger could be tamed...
Fried chicken, bacon, chops?
I'm out of those! I could be maimed!
Too late to call the cops!
I'm on my own! I'm on my Todd!
I'm off, without a doubt!
Quite frantic, friends, I'd pray to God!
'Dear Lord! Please help me out! '
I'd not be praying on my knees
Or talking politics...
I'd not be swapping recipes
Or teaching tiger tricks!
I'd not attempt to stroke his fur
And smile with winsome grin!
My little legs would be a blur!
I'd scat to save my skin!
I've never been where tigers hunt
Or sunbathed where they roam!
And frankly, friends, to be quite blunt,
Scared stiff, I'd stay at home!

by Stephen Gayford called 'Tiger Pursuit'.

Tiger By The Tail
What a shock it was so surprising
You looked so small and frail
I didnt know what to do
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
People said that you must be joking
You let emotions run away with you
I realized a little too late
I bit off more than I could chew
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
Sometimes you grip it right
And sometimes you fail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
At times life can be so enlightening
But it can turn on you
Lately it gets so complicated i
I dont know what the tiger will do
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
Sometimes you grip it right
And sometimes you fail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
Sometimes you grip it right
And sometimes you fail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail

IT's THE GOLF BALL OR ME
TIGER TIGER IN THE WOODS
Hit the ball as U should
Ere the Golf Stick skidded
And U in the Woods ended
Tiger Tiger your fame spread far and wide
Many a wallop in joy you with your family cried
Alas your 'misses' your family dread
And many a tear dropp you dead
Tiger Tiger in the Woods the time has come
When Your Wife has given you ultimatum
It's either me or GOLF you choose
And mend your ways or both your loose
'On my terms' if U want the kids and me
Coz I love you so much honey
I am not to touch the GOLF BALL
NOT for LOVE or for MONEY....
TIGER TIGER IN THE WOODS.

Manchurian King
He was the likely candidate
To be the tiger king,
The one that Nature would create,
From him new life to bring...
The one with fire in his eyes
And courage in his heart,
So that his foes would realise
That he would play his part.
There was no turning back for those
Who had to fight not fail,
Against another, way up close
To stay the Alpha Male...
The road ahead was paved with fears
That he alone must face,
Yet with defiance through these years,
These dangers to embrace.
There was no glory in defeat,
No pride beneath the stars,
No joy when some great beast can beat
And leave you scratched with scars...
For him, the years would not be kind,
Old age would sap his strength...
The tiger king would one day find
His resting place at length...
For now, defeat was far away...
In youth, he looked sublime...
His destiny he must obey,
Triumphant for a time...

The Tiger- past predator: present prey!
Tiger, Tiger, poached for hide!
By Man’s bullets many died;
Bones and claws of thine are dried;
Poachers have thee crucified.
Past predator, now a prey!
Recklessly killed every day;
Thy extinction is so nigh;
Mortality of thine’s high.
Lord of Jungle, O Tiger!
Hast thou become much tamer?
Thy reserves have dwindled fast;
Wilt thou soon be thing of past?
Oh, what sinews, what muscles!
Victor of fiercest tussles;
Thou with agility stalk;
Despite weight, thou canst cat-walk!
No beast dare challenge thy might;
Thine eyes glimmer green at night;
Thou live in forests so dense;
Mighty beast- ’tis no pretence.
Frightens thy roar every beast;
Stalk thou grassland’s beasts for feast;
What strength fills thy graceful frame!
Jungle Lord, wherefrom thou came?
