Infestants
Infested life with dreams that wakened
Is like day once dawn has breakened.
Impossibilities come forth from void,
Imaginations: girled or boyed?
Creativity that was girled
Results in princess stories terled.
Creativity from bored boys minds
Releases stories from confinds,
But think of little children Sneed,
Lauren, Larry, catastrophed
By blandness once forced down their throats
From sleeping as they counted goats.
May Lauren Sneed soon find her prince
Among the many contestints.
And Larry Sneed, his place is fine
Between madness and genius - Boyderline.

Eclogue
JANE SNEED BEGAN IT: My poor John, alas,
Ten years ago, pretty it was in a ring
To run as boys and girls do in the grass—
At that time leap and hollo and skip and sing
Came easily to pass.
JOHN BLACK SAID: I’ll interpret what you mean.
Our infant selves played happily with our others,
The cunning me and mine came not between
Which like a sword is, O sweethearts and brothers
Numberless, who have seen.
JANE SNEED: I tell you what I used to do.
For joy I used to run by river or wood
To see with what speed all came trooping too;
Those days I could not quit you if I would,
Nor yet quit me could you.
JOHN BLACK RETURNED: But now, Jane, it appears
We are sly travelers, keeping good lookout
Against the face whose ravage cries for tears;
Old friends, ill met; and supposing I call out,
“Draw nigh, friend of those years”—
Before he think of any reason why,
The features of that man resolve and burn
For one long look—but then the flame must die.
The cold hearts in us mortally return,
We must not fructify.
JANE SNEED SAID BITTERLY: Why, John, you are right.
We were spendthrifts of joy when we were young,
But we became usurious, and in fright
Conceived that such a waste of days was wrong
For marchers unto night.
JOHN BLACK SAID: Yes, exactly, that was when
It happened. For Time involved us: in his toils
We learned to fear. And every day since then
We are mortals teasing for immortal spoils,
Desperate women and men.
JANE SNEED CONSENTED: It was nothing but this.
Love suffereth long, is kind—but not in fear.
For boys run banded, and simple sweethearts kiss,
Till in one day the dream of Death appear—
Then metamorphosis.
JOHN BLACK SAID: To explain mistrust and wars,
Theogony has a black witch with hell’s broth;
Or a preposterous marriage of fleshless stars;
Or the Fiend’s own naked person; or God wroth
Fingering his red scars.
And philosophy, an art of equal worth,
Tells of a flaw in the firmament—spots in the sun—
A Third Day’s error when the upheaving earth
Was young and prime—a Fate reposed upon
The born before their birth.
JANE SNEED WITH GRIM LIPS MOCKED HIM: Who can tell—
Not I, not you—about those mysteries!
Something, John Black, came flapping out of hell
And wrought between us, and the chasm is
Digged, and it digged it well.
JOHN BLACK IN DEPRECATION SAID: Be sure
That love has suffered a most fatal eclipse;
All brotherhoods, filialities insecure;
Lovers compounding honey on their lips
With deep doubts to endure.
JANE SNEED SIGHED SLOWLY: I suppose it stands
Just so. Yet I can picture happiness—
Perhaps there wander lovers in some lands
Who when Night comes, when it is fathomless,
Consort their little hands;
And well, John Black, the darkened lovers may,
The hands hold much of heat in little storage,
The eyes are almost torches good as day,
And one flame to the other flame cries Courage,
When heart to heart slide they;
JOHN BLACK’S THE LAST SAY THEN: O innocent dove,
This is a dream. We lovers mournfully
Exchange our bleak despairs. We are one part love
And nine parts bitter thought. As well might be
Beneath ground as above.

Stories For Boys
Theres a place I go,
And it is far away.
Theres a tv show,
And I can grow.
Sometimes the hero takes me,
Sometimes I dont let go.
Theres a picture book
With more than moans and groans.
Theres a comic strip
That makes me laugh.
Sometimes I let it take me.
Sometimes I dont let go,
I wont let go.
Stories for boys.
Stories for boys.
Theres a place I go,
And it is far away.
Theres a radio,
And I will crawl.
Sometimes the hero takes me.
Sometimes I dont let go.
Stories for boys.
Stories for boys.
Stories for boys...

Creativity is a great motivator because it makes people interested in what they are doing. Creativity gives hope that there can be a worthwhile idea. Creativity gives the possibility of some sort of achievement to everyone. Creativity makes life more fun and more interesting.

Sneed Powerful Woman
Sneed is a powerful woman
Cuz more love her
Than she could love back
We sit out on the porch
Laughin' at the stories
She does tell
She says Hmmmmm
Jesus will heal it all
She says Hmmmmm
It's our job to be strong
Pickin' cotton, depression,
death and poverty
As a black woman
This was her reality
But God is on her side she says
No need for despair
Despite the inequality
Joy was hers
She saw that as being fair
She says Hmmmmm
Jesus will heal it all
She says Hmmmmm
It's our job to be strong
Well to church with her
I won't too much
Cuz I mostly roll my eyes
I think the power she has is hers
And it's way deep down inside.
But she says Hmmmmm
Jesus will heal it all
She says Hmmmmm
It's our job to be strong
Argue with her I never will
Cuz lose I surely would
Do your best
To do your best
The prize is welcome arms from her
But actin' up and actin' wrong
Will get the devil Hell
Beat right outta ya'
Then she'll say: Hmmmm
Jesus will heal it all
She says Hmmmmm
It's our job to be strong
It's our job to be strong

Stories
Every year has its own stories in this life,
Every month has its own stories in this life,
Every week has its own stories in this life,
Every day has its own stories in this life,
Every hour has its own stories in this life,
Every minute has its own stories in this life,
And like the muse of the mind as we grow up;
So, we are all with stories to tell in this world.
As white as snow,
As red as blood,
As balck as charcoal,
As green as the grass,
As blue as the sky;
But everybody has stories to tell in this world!
And like the muse o love in the land of beauty,
For each year has its own story.

Encouraged To Lie
Making it all up,
As they go along.
Most children do that.
Pre-fabricating,
With undeniable excitement.
Whether in the telling of their stories.
Or, In the singing of their songs.
And we listen to them.
Telling them how important it is,
To use their imaginations as gifts given.
With lessons we teach...
How significant it is to expand one's mind.
Some children do grow,
And break free from this practice.
Knowing when for them a reality begins.
And when an adolescence for them ends.
Some children do leave their immaturities behind.
Others remain to embellish their entire existences.
Confusing the difference between right and wrong,
In the telling of their stories.
Whether or not they are sung in songs.
And convincingly deceive to have others believe.
From dawn until night lingers on.
With a kept belief.
That their realities created,
Should not leave anyone upset.
Especially if their imagined realities,
Have brought a benefit that many later regret.
And the ones not understanding with a comprehension,
Are those who all their lives.
Have been encouraged to lie.
And in their minds they see no reason why,
This should not have been left to go on existing.

Stories
Through every window, we look out
what we see on the other side
holds many stories waiting to unfold.
Stories of great achievements
within someone’s life.
Stories of gathering love
found with in open arms.
Stories of perusing heartaches
where someone has gone away.
Stories a million fold
that surround every living thing.
Stories we are not aware of,
but happen before our eyes.
Stories to share with all
from those who can see them unfold.
The next time you look out a window
try and see what is really there,
the stories that are everywhere.

Creativity
When my son was five years old, we bought him a toy car that was battery operated and had 'bump-and-go' features. After a few hours of play, we discovered he had dismantled it and removed the tiny windshield, and when we asked him why, he said 'I wanted to see the tiny man driving it.' He grew up to be an artist and is now a Senior Creative Graphic Arts executive.
A rare gift that is spawned
By the challenge of Demand,
It is the seed when sown,
Becomes the mother of Invention.
New ideas and new design,
From the most unlikely sources-
Multiple births of fertile minds,
Producing things of many uses.
Creative minds are never idle
Ideas come from constant thinking.
Of wasted time there's very little,
As focus centers on problem-solving.
In our anvil of originality
Sharpened and molded like a tool-
This rare gift of Creativity
Comes not from many years of school.
Encourage then the child who dreams,
The child who's curious and asks questions-
For his impossibilities may seem
Creativity's ladder into fruition.

We sat down and told stories that happened to us in our childhood, to our children. They were all basically based on the truth. These stories were funny and poignant to us. They just took off. These are all stories from my life.

Children's Stories
Children's stories seem just that,
Only stories,
Nothing more,
And nothing less,
But what we do not see,
Is that they are more,
They give children things to believe in,
They give them rules to life,
They tell them mistakes,
So they dont have to make them too,
They show them lessons,
They give reason to ways,
Childrens stories,
Give children reasons to live.

Faith To Move Mountains
Did you ever hear inspired stories
about poor swamp frogs who dreamed;
of becoming a real prince or princess
pipe dreams of people impossibilities?
Walt Disney dreaming of Disneyland
a fantasy happiness magical wonderland;
is power of imaginative transformation
to gift hope kindness possibilities won.
Faith to move mountains is personality individually done
improve the world improve thyself it is microcosm done.
Change thyself to change the world it is inspiration done
when your soul is measured weighed which values won?

I Remember Larry
Say, do you remember that guy larry next door
Well, he always was the neighborhood clown
Like the time he pulled my pants off
And he took those color pictures
And posted copies all over town
Or the time that he dumped toxic waste on my lawn
Or those wacky prank phone calls from midnight till dawn
What a crazy kid larry was, always foolin around
Boy, what a joker
What a funny, funny guy
Ill never forget about larry
No matter how I try
Say, do you remember when I lost all my hair
cause lar gave me that nair shampoo
And hey, how bout the day he put ben gay inside my jockstrap
And filled my toothpaste tube up glue
All those wedgies he gave
All those shoestrings he tied
All those brownies he made with the ex-lax inside
Oh, lar, I swear, it was a laugh a minute with you
Boy, what a joker
What a funny, funny guy
Ill never forget about larry
No matter how I try
You know I couldnt help but laugh
Even though he treated me like slime
Remember when he cut my car in half?
Well, he really got me good that time!
Say, do you remember when I broke in larrys house
Late at night and tied his mouth with a rag
Then I dragged him by his ankles to the middle of the forest
And stuffed him in a big plastic bag
If the cops ever find him, who knows what theyd say
But Im sure if ol lar were still with us today
He would have to agree with me
It was a pretty good gag
Oh boy, what a joker
What a funny, funny guy
Ill never forget about larry
No matter how I try
Oh boy, what a joker
What a funny, funny guy
Ill never forget about larry
No matter how I try
No matter how I try
Oh, I remember larry
