With Angst And Cynical Rhetoric
Why are your commentaries,
So filled with angst and cynical rhetoric?
'I like the way you put that!
If my concerns were printed,
To exclude all delusions...
I would be considered socially unfit.
And with the use of censorship...
You would not be exposed to any of it.
That is why I have chosen,
To edit my own comments.
Ensuring my angst felt with cynical rhetoric,
Would leave you to read between the lines.
To find your own reason,
To mutilate and redefine...
A more intellectual way to express your anger.'

Cynical Baby Downtown
'Soothing voices are announcing,
cynical baby downtown,
another suppression of hope,
a day of compulsory dancing,
cynical baby downtown,
and subliminal sex, guns and dope.
The mistress of rude assumptions,
cynical baby downtown,
is trying to give us a clue,
displaying the bodily functions,
cynical baby downtown,
of what I might mean to you.
Old men are showing photographs,
cynical baby downtown,
of some of the targets we hit;
I guess the animal that laughs,
cynical baby downtown,
has had a testosterone fit.
And the party went ballistic,
cynical baby downtown,
but no one was to blame;
it was your explosive lipstick,
cynical baby downtown,
that had just spoken my name.'

Today, I want to be cynical!
Today, I want to be cynical
I won’t listen those long lyrical
I don’t care people’s opinion
Today, I want to be cynical
I’ll be the sour vinegar
On the tip of your tongue
I’ll quench my cold blood
I’ll shut my crying heart
Today, I want to be cynical
I deny false sympathy
I believe world’s hypocrisy
Today, I want to be cynical
I’ll burn your comical face
With acid glance’s attack
I’ll breed my poisonous words
I’ll carve my sadistic smile
Today, I want to be cynical
I shame self pity
I laugh at naivety
Today, I want to be cynical
I’ll be the sound of thunder
Shake often your bright day
I’ll know your hidden mistake
I’ll close your chance to break
Today, I want to be cynical!

Diamond
OK, be cynical – say,
why, it’s only a piece of dead wood
that found itself trapped when
the earth’s crust heaved a sigh…
be cynical - say,
it didn’t ask for you to
dig it up - buried there
recovering from the shock…
be cynical - say,
anyway, it looked like a pebble then
until a man so cleverly polished it..
be cynical – say,
it’s nothing of itself – all it does
is to reflect the light that’s always all around..
be cynical – say,
we’d only value it as a piece of glass,
if smart guys didn’t fix it for them to seem rare,
and silly girls say, look, it proves he loves me…
now just look at this diamond..
what use is your mind
when your eye and your heart
get on so well without it?

Rhetoric (Acrostic)
: Rhetoric (Acrostic) 090a
Rhetoric is the art of polish and refinement.
Harlot verbiage moving from context to context.
Every now and then causing simple mis-judgement.
Tenses abound within rhetorical speeches.
Orator! When will you, if ever, learn?
Rhetoric shows up many words to be sinful.
Independent, discreet as a testified secret.
Cant saturation, dismiss rhetoric to Limbo.

Cynical Days
Another years gone by,
The worlds grown older,
Sometimes I heave a sigh,
People grow colder.
Every day I do my best to show,
I can make it in this world I know,
But all the bad thoughts that people bring,
My faith in human natures
Getting pretty thin.
Help me get through these cynical days.
Help me get through my cynical ways.
You say its just a passing phase,
Youve got to help me get through, these cynical days.
Another see through scheme,
People are shallow.
The dark nights closing in,
My dark thoughts follow.
I try and make my world a better place,
(my efforts seem in vain),
But Im competing in a human race,
(falling deeper down the drain),
That value things that just dont count,
Makes me wonder what its all about.
Help me get through these cynical days.
Help me get through my cynical ways.
You say its just a passing phase,
Youve got to help me get through these cynical days.
Yeah, you say its just a passing phase,
Youve got to help me get through these cynical days.
Yeah, you say its just a passing phase,
Youve got to help me get through these cynical days.
Yeah, you say its just a passing phase,
Youve got to help me get through these cynical days.
Cynical days.
Cynical days.

In Stubborn Wishful Missions
As exposed as truth has become,
To lay stripped in raw nakedness...
Under a clear Sun...cloudless!
And without a shadow to cast,
The appearance of its existence...
As had been done in the past,
By those passing to barter shared doubts...
There are those still refusing,
To see truth for what it is.
And they gather together,
In stubborn wishful missions...
Hoping their prayers will chase truth away,
For something that is more suitable...
That will keep their delusions fed.
As exposed as truth has become,
With nothing left to be said or read to be done...
Between lines to redefine its existence or content.

I'm Dreaming Of A Cynical Christmas
I'm dreaming of a cynical christmas,
Just like the ones we used to know,
Where us sarcastic blighters,
And RAF fighters,
Could deliver witty statements on the go.
I'm dreaming of a cynical christmas,
Just like the ones we used to know,
Where we take the mickey,
When the situations stickey,
And end up thrown out in the snow.
I'm dreaming of a cynical christmas,
Just like the ones we used to know,
We can laugh at him 'til he dies,
Chokes to death of one of our mincepies,
And our happiness never be low!

Condition Critical
Oh the tension's mounting
The pressure starts to show
All the men in haunting
Please don't let me go
(Don't go)
Try to free my body
(Don't go)
Try to strap me down
(Don't go)
These'll never break me
(Don't go)
Free wheel to look at me
Condition critical
I'm feeling physical
Condition critical
Now I'm really cynical
The bells they are ringing
Or is it in my head
My nerves numb understanding
I'm falling out of bed
(Don't go)
So call it paranoia
(Don't go)
I don't see it that way
(Let's go)
You say I adore ya
(Hell no)
We're gonna rock they way
Condition critical
I'm feeling physical
Condition critical
Now I'm really cynical
Ooh ooh
Whips and chains
Don't feel no pain
What's so wrong
I think I'm going out of my head
Over heels
I can't feel
No pain, only pleasure
Get me out
Take me home
Can't you see my condition
Woo-woo-woo
Condition
Condition
Condition critical, critical
Condition
Condition
Condition critical
Condition critical
I'm feeling physical
Condition critical
Now I'm really cynical
Condition critical
I'm feeling physical
Condition critical
Now I'm really cynical (Cynical)
Condition
Condition
Condition critical, critical
Condition
Condition
Condition critical, critical
Condition
Condition
Condition critical, critical
Condition
Condition
Condition critical, critical
Condition
Condition-aca

Brimming to the Rim In Denial
Brimming to the rim in denial.
Putting truth on trial.
But none of this rhetoric,
Escapes observations...
That can not be erased,
As seen.
No matter who declares,
What 'is' or is not obscene.
Truth is not another version of deceit.
To be interpreted to inspire a life of delusions.
And delusions have never strengthened reality!

Miserabilism
It seems to me
there's something serious beginning
A new approach found
to the meaning of life
Deny that happiness
is open as an option
and disappointment
disappears overnight
Say that love
is an impossible dream
Face the facts
that's what it's always been
Relax
What you see is what you see
and what you get
is a new philosophy
(That's what you got
That's what you get)
Miserablism
Is is and isn't isn't
Miserablism
Is is and isn't isn't
Meanwhile your life
is still directed as a drama
with realism
on the sparsest of sets
Every performance
tends to reach the same conclusion
No happy endings
but a message to depress
saying life
is an impossible scheme
That's the point
of this philosophy
Miserablism
Is is and isn't isn't
Miserablism
Is is and isn't isn't
But if 'is' wasn't
and 'isn't' were
you can't be sure
but you might find ecstasy
Oh, no!
Just for the sake of it
make sure you're always frowning
(Angst! Angst! Angst!)
It shows the world
that you've got substance and depth
You know life
is an impossible scheme
and love
an imperceptible dream
(That's what you got
That's what you get)
Miserablism
Is is and isn't isn't
Miserablism
Is is and isn't isn't
miserable

Under A Sky So Blue
This cynical town will never die
Something lost can’t be saved
Doesn’t matter the tears you cry
Can’t stop this way that’s been paved
I find it strange nothing new
Never knew it was a danger
Under a sky so blue
Never feared that stranger
What’s the point if it’s lost?
Something we want to hide
Who cares at what cost
As long as by the laws we abide
Don’t tell me to leave it be
Its wrong never been so right
Why, why won’t you see!
Where is that kind light?
Listen to their cries
So desperate needing a hero
Blinded by their simple lies
All their lives adding up to zero
But no this cynical town will never die
Something lost can’t be saved
Doesn’t matter the tears you cry
Can’t stop this way that’s been paved

Actually It's Darkness
You thought the fire could protect you from it
But why have you been so, why have you been ill informed?
I felt that fire could protect me from everything
Youre just too gullible
Actually its darkness, I dont know what Im scared of
Its darkness, I must be scared of something
You must be scared of something, quite quite special
You shed a shade of shyness
You shed a shade of shyness
You shed a shade of shyness
Why cant you be more cynical?
I knew the winter could protect me from it
One box if film wont make it all go cold
I thought that winter could hide me from everything
Im just too gullible, for words
Actually its darkness, I dont know what Im scared of
Its darkness, I must be scared of something
You must be scared of something, quite quite special
You shed a shade of shyness
You shed a shade of shyness
You shed a shade of shyness
Why cant you be more cynical?
I dont look the same in the photograph
I need to look the way I did in the photograph
By mentioning places it will all become clear
If we speak the same language, youre a deeper darker reason...
You shed a shade of shyness
You shed a shade of shyness
You shed a shade of shyness
Why cant you be more cynical

Beautiful whole
Behind the dark cover of our cynical words
That we use to admonish character with the swiftness of a trained blade
A hidden river of unbridled passion flows
The space between has been the battleground of love
Afraid to show weakness but longing to bear scars openly
Twisted in this delicate encounter
With a sincere touch I reach out again
Poised to break the pattern of this senseless fight
Floods of anxiety and fear make there final decent
Sweetness returns to softly caress my unassuming face
Language fails to express the depth of the epic enlightenment experienced
The void of apprehension becomes the space of fulfillment
Sincere eyes confirm my deepest desire
The blanket of angst is lifted to reveal an enchanted scene
Free of the gravity that fought to pull apart the fibers of tenderness
We float along a stream of understanding, lacking expectations
Content with the flaws that exist in our beautiful whole
