Temptations Conveniently Hidden
It doesn't always pay to stay up-to-date,
And fresh with a keeping abreast...
Of the current fashion craze raising eyebrows.
Or what today is considered to be the 'latest'...
That introduces the next phase of an ongoing rage.
Since even today there are some with beliefs,
Emailing, cellphones and texting are passing fads.
And downloading sex is something done by sinners.
'Will I be forgiven...
If I carry my temptations,
Conveniently hidden in my pocket? '
There are so many still afraid and stuck in yesterday.
And anything mentioned brought to their attention,
That another considers they should focus upon and comprehend...
Immediately becomes something some find to be offensive.
With defense mechanisms taken to protect,
Concepts of correctness and standards valued left...
Dusting but kept to address,
When those 'Use to be' days are topics of discussion..

Out Of Control
No offense!
But defense mechanisms,
Have yet to be invented.
When stupid people,
Exhibit an excessive stupidity...
Consistent with ignorance,
That numbs the common sense...
Of anyone holding onto beliefs,
There is not an epidemic...
That has arrived and secretly released.
CAUTION!
Something we can not see,
Affects us as we breathe toxins in the air.
Many are dismissing this,
As if this is a fashion statement.
Something on the scene that attracts all human beings.
With no reprieve!
Like infectious laughter.
Quit!
And examine this for what it is.
A passing fad this isn't.
This...
Is becoming accepted behavior.
This...
Has potential to craze and manipulate.
This...
Is madness personified.
This...
Is more threatening,
Than identified terrorists...
Said to be at our doorsteps.
Operating from distant shores...
To impose themselves upon our interests.
This...
Is a reflection,
Of what has been tolerated.
This...
Is not a passing sickness.
With a cure to be announced...
Between sexual aids marketed on TV.
This...
Is a disease that is spreading.
And out,
Of control...
It is!
No offense!
But defense mechanisms,
Have yet to be invented.
Stupidity it is!
And out,
Of control.

Today is better than Yesterday
Yesterday
Yesterday, I was running with to feet
Yesterday, I was playing with kids
Yesterday, I was kicking the ball
Yesterday, I had it all, all was mine.
Yesterday, I was growing well,
Yesterday, I had it all undercover
Yesterday was my day
Yesterday, my days were
Yesterday, I had a lover, ‘true lover’
Yesterday, promises were made
Yesterday, promises were not kept
Yesterday, I was happy.
Yesterday, I gave him everything
Yesterday, I sacrificed everything
Yesterday, I was a fool
Yesterday, I was dying
Today
Today, I am lying in bed
Today, I am watching hopeless kids
Today, I can hardly move
Today, everything is falling
Today, I am dying in bed
Today, it is all wrong
Today, is not my day
Today, my days are not
Today, I have no one
Today, promises are broken
Today, promises are not
Today, I have no hope
Today, I long for myself
Today, I cry over spilled milk
Today, I am wise
Today, I live
Whatever happened yesterday is not
Whatever was, is not
Whatever was broken can be fixed
Whatever wound are, can be healed
Just need the Perfect Healer
Jesus I know you are! ! !

Affirmations(2002-2004)
Today, I will get up before my alarm
Today, I won't close my eyes until dusk
Today, I will not get a speeding ticket
Today, I will count this day as a first
Today, I will enjoy the life that has been left to me
Today, I won't frown over the may-have-beens
Today, I won't cry over the should-have-beens
Today, I won't wonder about the could-have-beens
Today, I'll smile.......Today, I'll Laugh.... Today, I'll relax
Today, I won't feel alone because I don't see you
Today, I'll find something new that wasn't true of you
Today, I won't be afraid to look upon a new face
Today, I'll step up and take my place
Today, I won't think about what I've lost
Today, I'll look forward instead of behind
Today, I'll find some piece of mind
Today, I'll hope.... Today, I'll pray... Today, I'll believe
Today, I'll dream as if I always did
Today, I'll wish on a star the way I used to
Today, I'll reach for the heavens and sigh
Today, My heart will start to heal
Today, the biggest miracle is ME.
Today, Yesterday's problems ceased to be
Today, the rain has stopped and the sun has returned
Today, the breath of kindness is found in words
Today, I wonder.... Today, I am a child.

Accepting To Protect False Beliefs
The telling of lies told and sold,
To deny in a hiding of one's insecurities...
Does not prevent,
An increasing mental instability...
As witnessed by those,
Not only experiencing buyer's remorse...
But shows the ones who have lied,
Responsible for much that has gone...
Misunderstood most of their lives,
While fighting against denials.
And today...
There is no way of escaping,
With a possibility on either side of truth...
To correct relationships destroyed to redo,
By accepting to protect false beliefs as done.
Or can fix to mend anyone's heart broken,
Of those victimized who have forgiven.
Since they will never be able to erase in time,
From their minds...
The effects of what has happened to them.
Accepting to protect,
False beliefs...
Doesn't shadow,
A truth that's known.
Accepting to protect,
False beliefs...
Doesn't shadow,
A truth that's known.
Accepting to protect,
False beliefs...
Doesn't shadow,
A truth that's known...
To keep those from being aware,
With a clearing of polluted air.

Abandoned Are Those Standards Claimed Valued
I remember when contradictions to ideals mentioned,
Were quickly dismissed.
And covered up to immediately hush.
With an ostracizing of those of tarted tongues.
Unafraid to expose what was seen unjustly done.
Long before profits became hot topics.
Well,
It seems today...
Everyone is deviant,
In some kind of inappropriate sexual way.
And in the darkest of closed closets.
With a molesting of minds to confine their deceits.
And to say these dysfunctional disturbing acts,
Have been going on for years behind those backs...
Quick to impose their self righteous 'philosophies' on others.
Denying those decadent touches practiced in private.
And abandoned are those standards claimed valued,
With a devoted faith shown publicly but not to be trusted as stated.
However...
Pure and pristine images are kept dignified to maintain,
With a censoring done to keep those 'ideals' left unblemished.

Before The Making of a Dollar
Standards valued today,
And what they 'should' be...
Have definitely changed,
From what those same values...
Applied yesterday.
Had been and use to be.
And in 'those' days...
A having of dignity and pride,
Was shown and not denied.
And depending on who you are...
A pride taken in oneself,
Will be labelled conceit and arrogance.
Again...
This depends one how one is depicted.
And 'what' one represents.
To emphasis those values...
Only when they seem to be demeaned,
By a targeted class of people hip hopping on the scene...
Society chooses to belittle and disrespect.
With a media microscoping to defame and diminish.
However...
Those same values are not kept,
When addressing those who believe they are above others...
When marketing their disgrace,
To advertise high on billboards, movies...
And other 'money grabbing' ways up in everyone's face.
Standards valued today,
And what they 'should' be...
Have definitely changed,
From what those same values...
Applied yesterday.
Had been and use to be.
Before the making of a dollar,
Replaced the making of quality human beings.

Yesterday, Today, Forever
When did you becomethe topic of conversation,
When did you become this countrys
Popular myth
Seems that overnight you caught
Everybodys attention
Everybody sings about you and your name
Bounces off their lips
When did you become superstar of
This generation
And when did you become commercial property
Everybodys got their own sweet lord,
Hear them sing
Looking here, looking there but they just dont
Seem sweet
Were you a guru, a godly man,
Or where you a genius, the best in the land
I read in the paper that you were back in fashion
Amongst the famous men you were high on the list
Dont they realise that fashions a passing fancy
The truth is yesterday, today, forever
Youll be staying
Yesterday, today, forever never wavering
You stated who you were and that will
Never change
Like it or not youll always be the same
Son of god
Like it or not, yesterday, today, forever (x6)
Yesterday, today, forever, like it or not

Today
There has been a day like today
But a fresh new day is today
It is a unique day today
It is wide open today
All the answers for our questions has today
Let us dream today
Let us laugh today
Let us share our love today
Let us express our greatness today
Let us trade many a yesterday for today
Let us perform our tasks today
Let us make it a magnificent today
Let us thank God for giving life today
Let us thank God for seeing His creations today
Let us love most about today
A golden day is today
For it is a fact today
It has arrived today!

Cheapened Craft Master (Proud and Quite Polished)
Quality once meant,
The difference between attention given...
To a service and product produced with love.
And not created to duplicate the earning,
Of a quick buck.
That is shoved into one's pocket.
Or the cussing out of someone precious.
Some determine the eye can be deceived.
Just like a lie is told over and over...
To have another believe.
And passed on to someone else to receive.
And there is no stopping it.
Once fixed and redefined.
Like a knock off design or one's taste,
For a fine wine.
To be given a quick diminishing overtime.
Like one who drips with quick lip...
As a substitute for what is hidden.
With dulled minds finding,
Even in mediocrity...
Pleasures have their satisfactions.
'Where are these fads and fashions heading? '
Cheapened craft master...
A genius of replication without depth to share.
Or a task that is reached to achieve better,
Than what appears.
And sparing little patience,
To appreciate originality.
And who cares about that?
The fact attached to manufacturing.
Or the work involved it takes 'that' to be...
Appreciated for what it is.
Or had been...
Before a peeling began to show,
A rusting that begins to grow.
Flawed up to become neglected.
Whether that is done to a piece that hangs...
Or the luring of someone to screw,
With a tainted point of view that's sold.
To be given its proper disrespect due.
And done with someone's approval.
With an anticipated expectation.
Of course denied but kept obvious.
The cheapened craft master,
Uses techniques that are bold and quite uniquely...
Craved,
By those who can say they possess...
To impress the ones obsessed by images.
Like those dissatisfied in relationships.
Who stay stuck and stick to stubborn beliefs...
They can not have better.
Like the eating of a piece of meat,
Just to do it because it is served.
With a disregard for preference,
One respectfully deserves.
'Once you can afford it your way...
Do it.
Or leave it where it is.
In these days and times...
There are few choices to be made! '
Quality once meant,
The difference between attention given...
To a service and product produced with love.
And kept proud and quite polished.
Knowing 'why' it remains to be valued.
With a love that goes unquestioned.
And today that is rare.
~I'm afraid to ask for something there,
That may be well done.
That's how I like it! ~

Depictions May Solicit Unhealthy Images
Controversy and the raising of eyebrows,
Produces the same affect.
From those who prepare to protest,
The reading of an epic.
That depicts within its pages,
A newborn being breast fed.
And the author is neither married.
Or has children.
And the one who has written this epic,
May be a male who describes.
His own upbringing.
Upsetting those who believe,
His depictions may solicit unhealthy images.
To those who are children,
Already experienced at downloading pornography.
On their cellphones.

That Day
The day i fear most, that specific day which will dawn upon my soul, that oneday - For you maybe someday, i have today, tomorrow will be the next day - The day after yesterday becomes today, the one i fear - Never is my forever, today i am forgiven for yesterday - Today i ask forgiveness for tomorrow - I know my horrors of days, terrific does not flow with terror in my blood - I do not bat in blind, i see the signs - as you feel your age by time

In Discussion Of What 'Is' Valued
Mixed marriages.
Sexual preferences.
And those unable to mind their own business.
Is not a good blend,
When in discussion of what 'is' valued.
Since those standards of a yesterday gone,
And once valued to respect others and their choices made...
Are not prioritized,
By those who have their noses...
Up in the cracks of other people's lives.

Vapors of Yesterday
Yesterday we were enemies
Today we are friends
Yesterday you said you loved me
Today marks the end
Of two souls which were once intertwined
Like a ball of yarn unrolled now lies undefined
Yesterday we were children
Today we are growing old
Yesterday we were warm
Today we are as cold
As the many dreams that we left frozen in time
Of all the frightful nightmares, some were benign
Yesterday was a blessing
Today is a curse
Yesterday was forever
Today is the first
Moment that we have to read the guiding signs
Through vapors of tomorrow, breathe in and unwind

Focus Folks
You gotta focus folks!
Yesterday it was okay,
To glimpse and run.
Seeing something in passing...
And dismissing it as if,
It wouldn't produce...
A long lasting effectiveness.
Well,
Today it's like this...
Those who believe they have not been at risk,
Are fooling themselves.
They are caught up in it!
You gotta focus folks!
Yesterday it was okay,
To glimpse and run.
Seeing something in passing...
And dismissing it as if,
It wouldn't produce...
A long lasting effectiveness.
By now many have witnessed,
The consequences of their thoughtlessness.
The demise of their quality of life!
And the stupidness of their racistness.
What is going on around them,
Are trappings of their delusions.
To seclude them in some ethnic separateness...
That is ending to bring all into a togetherness.
Regardless who likes it.
This is a fact!
Try to hide from it!
You gotta focus folks!
Yesterday it was okay,
To glimpse and run.
Seeing something in passing...
And dismissing it as if,
It wouldn't produce...
A long lasting effectiveness.
Well,
Today it's like this...
Those who believe they have not been at risk,
Are fooling themselves.
They are caught up in it!
You gotta focus folks!
What is going on is no joke.
And if you had been the kind,
To provoke others and their peace of mind...
You will find yourself,
Soon,
Out of yours!
You gotta focus folks!
Forgive and forget...
And destroy those hate notes!
Rip them up or burn them quick.
A major adjustment of change exists.

Three Nil
Chaos... is just the beginning
Every promise I made I'm ascending
Stab the knives in the middle of the monster
I'm getting tired of drowning the constant
Cry for help
It's debatablel
The only reason that you love me is
I'm hated by all
Come on!
Come see dysfunction
I guess we're gunna leave it
Open for discussion
Who am I?
Where am I going?
Maybe I'm looking in the wrong direction
Maybe I'm looking for any direction
This is not my war
This is not my fight
This is something more
This is not my life
This is not my revolution
This is not my convolution
This is not my expectation
This is not my desperation
Rolled up thoughts and tamed for the hell of it
Look at me, I am the glorified mahlcotect
Save me, save this
All I got to do is give up
And all is forgiven
I'm SICK
of being the butt of a cosmic joke
And I don't get the punchline
A million people lined up for miles
To see the great big mouth
SHUT UP AND APOLOGIZE!
This is not my war
This is not my fight
This is something more
This is not my life
This is not my revolution
This is not my convolution
This is not my only reason to question why
TODAY I'LL SAY GOODBYE!
GOODBYE!
Oh I didn't need to leave
To stay right here
TODAY I'LL SAY GOODBYE!
GOODBYE!
Oh I didn't need to leave
To stay right here
TODAY I'LL SAY GOODBYE!
GOODBYE!
Oh I didn't need to leave
To stay right here
TODAY I'LL SAY GOODBYE!
GOODBYE!
Oh I didn't need to leave
To stay right here
TODAY I'LL SAY GOODBYE!
I'm the pariah (Break Me)
I am the liar (Save Me)
I can take anything (Make Me)
Accuse me of everything (Kill Me)
Cut off my system (Slay Me)
Deny my existance (Waste Me)
I won't be afraid (Try Me)
I won't be unmade (Deny Me!)
COME ON!
Break it off
COME ON!
Buy the lie
COME ON!
Say it
SAY IT!
COME ON!
SAY GOODBYE!
GOODBYE!
Oh I didn't need to leave
To stay right here
TODAY I'LL SAY GOODBYE!
GOODBYE!
Oh I didn't need to leave
To stay right here
TODAY I'LL SAY GOODBYE!
GOODBYE!
Oh I didn't need to leave
To stay right here
TODAY I'LL SAY GOODBYE!

To stay right here

Better and Brighter
Goodbye yesterday!
Today tomorrow has begun.
The Sun is rising and the air is fresh.
And that hope for a better day has come!
Goodbye yesterday...
And those sunsets gone!
Although some still hold on,
To those views!
With sentiments carried to relive events...
Convinced they are needed to renew.
But not build tomorrow which has come today...
To restore with outlooks brand new!
Goodbye yesterday...
We leave behind what was left to find...
That tomorrow,
Which today has come through!
Better and brighter,
Than that which has passed.
Without asking if dreams come true.
They do when not subdued!

As Fresh As Dawn Awakens
Today,
My eyes and mind...
Are not on mistakes I've made.
Nor are they concentrated,
On aches and pains I've had.
Or the passing of judgements of others!
Today,
As fresh as dawn awakens my sensibilities...
I reach and desire something fresh to experience.
I want to witness and participate with nature.
I want to feel assessible to anyone that approaches.
I wish to remove every restriction,
Others may around them have!
Today,
My eyes and mind...
Are not on mistakes I've made.
Nor are they concentrated,
On aches and pains I've had.
Or the passing of judgements of others!
Today,
I am going to pray and be grateful.
Today,
And everyday thereafter I am blessed to breathe,
God is going to hear me express how blessed I am.
And not a complaint will I address.

Today - the Yesterday of Tomorrow
today is the yesterday
of tomorrow
today is also the tomorrow
of yesterday
yesterday was the today
of the then tomorrow
tomorrow which is the now today
is the tomorrow of yesterday
what is yesterday's yesterday?
what is the today of today?
what will be the tomorrow of tomorrow?
yesterday made today
today is creating tomorrow
the now today will be the
yesterday of the incoming tomorrow
and that tomorrow will become today
but tomorrow is yet unknown
for there is no today without yesterday
and no yesterday without today
but tomorrow will be unknown
