Do you have the time
to listen to whine
about nothing and everything
all at once
I am one of those

NUROTIC TO the bone no doubt about it
Some times I give myself the creeps

The Philosopher: In My Humble Opinion
In my humble opinion, this love thing's not that great!
True love makes you its minion, its bondslave date-by-date!
It seems to me, you compromise, yet love, itself, won't bend!
At times I've wondered, full of whys. The questions never end...
And yet I've fallen for its tricks, its whimsies on the way.
It's only when I'm 'knocked for six' with daydreams that I'll play.
But now I know its repertoire, its gambits and its rules,
I'll not join in its mad hoorah like billions of other fools!
I'd rather live with loneliness than play the game as is.
At least your heart's not in a mess tormented by true bliss!
Love is a drug, a fantasy, the best of all your hopes,
And yet no guard 'gainst misery when you're left on the ropes!
When crucified by day and night by all each sigh creates,
Then love will only watch you fight the fury of the Fates!
You'll see I'm right, you'll understand... Roulette is much more kind!
For love will lead you by the hand then let you lose your mind!
Seek not its treasures and rewards. Your soul should not be bought!

Two Kinds of Wisdom
Words of wisdom can indeed, speak to the heart’s most inner need,
But you must be aware my friend, where words take you in the end.
For earthly wisdom can mislead, the heart seeking an earthly need.
While wisdom sent from up above, guides you in God’s perfect love.
Wisdom comes from many schools, some are wise, some are fools,
Even teachings that sound wise, could be packaged in eternal lies.
Earthly wisdom tells you friend, don’t be concerned about your end,
Just live your life for number one, fill each day with pleasure and fun.
Godly wisdom fills you with love, while keeping your mind up above,
God helps you each day to live, knowing that you have more to give.
Worldly wisdom says fill your life, with things that cause much strife.
It tells you to grab the biggest toy, but in the end you’ll have no joy.
Godly wisdom through sacrifice, prepares you for your Eternal Life.
With this wisdom men shall see, Jesus Christ as they enter Eternity.
In the end all worldly wisdom, to the Truth of God it shall succumb.
When men try embracing The Son, He will say what’s done is done.
All the worldly wisdom down here, has no room for The Lord, I fear,
With the wisdom they think wise, the Lord we love, they just despise.
The same Lord who we hold dear, has let us know His return is near,
And Godly wisdom fixes our eyes, upon Christ without any comprise.

Not Knowing
Not knowing is worse...
Where to run to...
to have no one to hold you tightly and console is this not a curse?
but as for me who
do i have and whom may i turn to? whom may i trust
so many i wish to but my friendship turns to lust
my feelings melt into love
yearning for my more... when i should desire nothing...deserve no dove
deserve no one pure, for i am dirty...unclean
in this darkness my troubles teem
i drag myself deeper in to try to get to you...not knowing is worse
its a curse
not knowing if one is being ignored not knowing if what you turn to
is something that is real...not just real to you
